- conniepandeni (10/5): Room location and service delivery - The location of the hotel is perfectly located, the specific room allocated to me was just the right one with outside view facing the sea. the room very spacious, fitted with beautiful deco', a queen bed and nice refreshments, bath, shower and ablution facilities are all stannic and kitchen services provided was fantastic. Will not hesitate to return again t this facility.
- Klaus2268 (8/5): Perfect location on the shore with spacious rooms - This hotel is in the first row on the beach. You have to cross the main road and a car park to get to the sea. You can see lots of flamingos from the west-facing rooms. The rooms are very spacious and clean. Even though the furnishings are a bit dated, guests feel comfortable. The restaurant in the hotel is well attended and has a varied menu. I find the acoustics in the restaurant to be a disadvantage, which is annoying for many guests. It is also worth mentioning that salt is transported on the street in front of the hotel in huge trucks, which can be heard and felt in the hotel (vibrations). Fortunately, such transport only takes place during the day and it was quiet at night during our stay.

The staff was extremely helpful, making sure we had all we needed. Breakfast was excellent with many choices.

- jeanVV2024 (6/5): Stay at Flamingo - Be aware of T&C. I made a booking via Booking.com for two nights. Due to a strike of Lufthansa, I arrived a day late and warned the hotel of this as soon I received the news from Lufthansa, that I could only stay for one night. They however charged me for two nights and this with the argument that I made by booking through Booking.com. It might be like that, but they didn't prove to be commercial nor trying to find a solution or a compromise. The manager would contact me, but nothing yet. I paid my bill and will never return.
- Jason (8/5): Nice hotel - I’ve stayed here a few times and it’s a nice place great location my only issue was that the have two recliners on sun deck of the room but only one cushion kinda annoying honestly but beds are comfortable and linens are nice and soft.

Staff was very professional and helpful especially Ms Brandy and the young boy at reception (forgot his name). Keep up the good work!!!! The food was excellent especially the oxtail - breakfast was tops every morning.

The hotel staff was helpful and friendly and blamed the service provider for the poor WiFi reseption. But I personally think it was a hotel WiFi extender problem.
- azehnd875988 (10/5): Refuge in a storm - My flight was delayed overnight due to a sand storm and I needed a room last minute. I booked online and confirmed the booking on the way from the airport. Not only did they have a room. They provided a warm welcome and upgraded me to a view room. The hotel restaurant is wonderful and my room was well appointed and comfortable.

But I would stay here again for the best location in Walvis Bay, on the Flamingo Lagoon which makes it scenic, breezy, cool.
- Menal (8/5): Base camp for coastal Namib adventure - Stayed on and off for a total of 3 nights during our Walvis Bay-based exploration of the West side of Namibia. Pros: excellent location, right across from the lagoon, which makes it feel breezy, good for people and flamingo watching, easy access to the walking path at the lagoon, great spot to watch the sunset. Also excellent service. Cons: breakfast is okay… a self-serve buffet, but no eggs to order like most other hotels in Namibia; room is missing a few basics like hair dryer, one of our rooms didn’t have a fridge.

We were given a voucher by way of compensation for having to endure loud noise during working hours which we thought was very good.
