Parkplatz direkt daneben und sicher. Vor allem das Restaurant überzeugt, abends (afrikanische und deutsche Küche) und beim Frühstück. Weiß nicht

Alles ist gut durchdacht im Zimmer, die Aircondition macht ihren Job leise und gut,(nachts 32 Grad draussen), die Betten sind bequem. Zum Komplex gehört außerdem ein sehr gutes Restaurant mit bezahlbarem exzellentem Essen. Wir starten gestärkt nach Violsdrift.

Персонал очень внимательный, замечательный, общительный… Vernon - парень отличный, добрый, очень трудолюбивый, быстрый, талантливый… Он делает абсолютно всё, работает 28 часов в сутки. Завтрак вкусный, но не многообразный… Бар отличный!

Airconditioning werkte goed Na het passeren van gate en security kan je wagen aan chalet parkeren. In de bar waande je je in Duistland met muziek van Helene Fisher en Duitse shlagermuziek. Lekker à la carte diner. Het hotel ligt slechts op 1 1/2 uur rijden van Fish river Canyon Het hotel mist de sfeer van andere lodges ; er zijn geen leuke hoekjes buiten om rustig biertje te drinken of boek te lezen Prijs is beduidend duurder dan gelijkaardige hotels die ook niet nabij toeristische pleisterplaats liggen

The staff are not friendly, not service focused, absent-minded and one has to ask them to do things. The receptionist forgot to hand me my soap and shampoo package upon check-in, I had to ask the barman to leave his chit-chat with a regular to pour me a drink, I had to ask for a menu at breakfast, while they were staring right through me. The facilities are outdated, the Wi-Fi works only in certain areas, the plugs are old-fashioned three-point plugs. They seriously need to modernise and train their staff.

Upon arrival we were put in to a sub standard room and when we brought it to reception attention they informed us that they do not have the room we booked available. We had to go and find our own accommodation for the night that was already paid. Tried to inform Bookings.com via the app but no response and no refund. We are very disappointed and unhappy with both Bookings and Schuetzenhaus. We will put this on our social media as well.

• Katja (3/5): We were quite disappointed with our recent stay at this accommodation - On a brighter note, breakfast was better than some previous reviews had suggested. This was our second stay at the Schützenhaus. With the first stay we were very pleased. Unfortunately not this time: Upon arrival, we were informed at reception that neither the restaurant nor the bar would be open until 4:30 p.m., leaving us unable to purchase even a bottle of water. When the bar eventually opened, it was later than scheduled. We were finally able to buy water and a bottle of white wine, which unfortunately was from 2022 and past its prime. On a positive note, the bartender was very attentive and made a genuine effort to provide good service. Our experience at the restaurant was particularly unsatisfactory. Many menu items we attempted to order were said to be unavailable. However, after contacting the owner, these items suddenly became available. Additionally, my husband ordered a pork schnitzel but was served a beef schnitzel instead. The supervisor appeared to lack oversight of the kitchen and seemed unfamiliar with basic culinary practices, which was disappointing. There also appeared to be a tense atmosphere among the staff, who seemed apprehensive around management, which contributed to an uncomfortable environment. The restaurant was frequented by guests who spoke loudly on their phones, and staff did not intervene to maintain a pleasant dining atmosphere for others. While the bartender stood out for his professionalism and hospitality, the overall experience left much to be desired. Based on this visit, we would not choose to stay here again or recommend the hotel to others. The rooms, though relatively new, were not well maintained. For example, one pillowcase was clean, while the other was noticeably discolored. On a positive note, parking is conveniently located directly in front of the building, which is important in Keetmanshoop due to safety concerns. Finally, we encountered issues when settling our bill.

• Martin (6/5): - Unterbringung in kleinen Bungalows mit direkter Parkmöglichkeit vor der Terrasse, top wegen Gepäckschlepperei, Zugang gesichert, Zimmer groß und sauber, Betten kann man zum Doppelbett zusammenschieben, Bad sauber, ausreichend Platz, kleine Terrasse mit Sitzplätzen, Restaurant im Haupthaus, nette Bedienung ABER: Essen wirklich eine absolute Katastrophe, Steak faserig, zäh, dicke fettstreifen, Pommes total versalzen, schlechtestes Essen auf der kpl. Namibia-Reise, am Nachbartisch gleiche enttäuschte Gesichter bei anderer Bestellung, lieber woanders essen, Bier allerdings sehr gut. Ein Jahr zuvor war Restaurant super... aber so ist das manchmal. Schade.

We had a family room so it was very spacious but modestly furnished. There was a fridge and aircon, beds were comfy and shower warm. The restaurant seemed very popular so I think locals eat there as well. The food was good and well presented - dinner is extra while breakfast is included. The main building has a nice original old feel about it. Staff were very pleasant. Not much, fairly basic room.
