- Nicola (7/5): - The property is quaint and charming. The breakfast/tea room had nice atmosphere overlooking the park with music and coffee playing. Breakfast was really good. The rooms are in the lower level without much or any of a view. Also the bathtub is out in the open and takes up much of the space that could be a nice enclosed bathroom area. If you are sharing the room with somebody, there is zero bathroom privacy.

It was a tranquil refuge, only 13 minute pleasant walk from the SEC conference centre, which enabled me to come and go several times per day. The home made scones were delicious, I honestly think it was the best scone I've ever tasted. a recycling bin is needed in the bedroom.

- Sharita (10/5): Stunning romantic stay - I delayed writing a review as I wanted to give it the time it deserved as honestly this was an exceptional experience! I’d arranged a birthday surprise for my partner with the wonderful support of the staff and it couldn’t have went more perfect. The interior is stunning architecturally speaking, and the staff could not have been more accommodating! I only live round the corner and know the area very well so was a really nice surprise that it was in fact so quiet and peaceful. I would absolutely recommend this guest house to anyone looking for an intimate, relaxing stay and for a special occasion as it’s just perfect!

We was also told breakfast was served between 7.30 and 10.00 but asked if we could give rough time as everything was made fresh. We did but unfortunately woke up earlier than planned, we were understanding it might take a bit longer but was made to feel bad because the staff were not actually going to show up until later now.

We came to Alamo Guest House for our 10th anniversary and it was magical. We got the room with the gigantic bath. We are tall myself (6ft) and my partner (6ft 3). We comfortably fitted in the bath and enjoyed our bottle of Prosecco arranged by lovely Annette. Annette welcomed us and showed a thorough and quick tour of the facilities. Location is fantastic and close to bars and restaurants at the west end of Glasgow. Breakfast was fantastic too, Annette took my order and it was beautifully cooked. The decor of the hotel is very cool and suited to the style of the building. The hotel is also very close to Kelvingrove Park. Worth every penny! We had so much fun we didn’t take any photos , too busy enjoying our stay 😉🥰 Don’t have anything to complain about, outer 10th anniversary was magical !

- Ian (10/5): Definitely stay again - The staff were so friendly and accommodating, couldn't have been more helpful Not much really, I'm not a fan of electric showers but they're all the same and our bathroom had one. Breakfast is cooked to order so it takes a little longer than usual. This could easily be overcome by pre-ordering the night before. However, this is not being critical, just a suggestion for anyone in a rush in the morning, it could be an option. We had a wonderful stay at The Alamo Guest House and would definitely stay again

She went above and beyond to help us find a car service, check attractions near by, reserve dinner and offer other suggestions to make our stay in Glasgow enjoyable. Wish our room had been above street level so we could look out at the activity of the city. Also it was a bit tricky with only one key that operates all the electricity. If one person wanted to go out, the other would be, literally in the dark.

- Ian (10/5): Amazing stay, can recommend enough. - The whole experience was amazing. From being welcomed by one of the friendliest receptionists we've ever met, we were shown to our room. The room in itself was spectacular with its freestanding centre piece bath, the ornate furniture and comfortable bed. A beautifully hand written note (per my specification) had been left in a heart of rose petals to celebrate my girl friend's birthday. The room was amazing and the morning breakfast and checking out experience was friendly and smooth. We will most definitely be back. Everything was perfect and way above already high expectations.
- Jenny (9/5): Brilliant. - Lovely comfortable and cosy rooms, great location, friendly staff and great prices. Everything was thought of and the guest house is really plush and beautifully presented. We got a good deal, maybe would be expensive without that? Breakfast was lovely but I asked for poached eggs on toast and got one slice of toast and one egg! Minor complaint only.

- Diane Valentine-Jones (10/5): Classy and friendly - The staff were super accommodating. Willingly helping us in and out with our bags. The breakfast service was slick and yummy. The location is so convenient to Sauchiehall St and the Kelvingrove Museum. When my booked restaurant let me down the reception staff went above and beyond to find me an equally special booking. I loved my stay so much but I was a little shocked at the price of street parking - £40 is an awful lot per day.

Spotlessly clean , beautiful furnishings and staff that went the extra mile .Annette and Claire were superb . The Alamo suite was beautiful . - Linda (7/5): Cosey overnight stay and made to feel very special. - Warmly welcomed. Very comfortable bed and homely feel to the house. Lovely breakfast. Excellent coffee. Breakast was cooked to order and catered for all requirements. Nice quiet location. Bathroom and toilet outside room but that's a very minor issue as it was only for our use and very nice and clean.

- Mark (10/5): Perfect retreat, close to Universty and many fine restaurants. - Breakfast was great, plenty of choices all made to order. Room was large, bed comfortable shower and bathroom well equipped. Location ideal if visiting University of Glasgow.

- Katie (8/5): - The only issue we had was finding the place. Once we found it the door was locked at 4:00. Didnt know i needed to ring the bell. It is a lovely old building and breakfast was lovely. We only had one night was it was during a storm. Would have loved to have enjoyed the spa.

Very uncomfortable bed. No place to park, even though they advertised parking available/provided. Drove around forever waiting for a street slot and had to pay for that.
- Christine (10/5): - The Alamo Guest House offers ten rooms. It is small and that is its strength. The rooms are clean. The staff is extremely helpful. An excellent choice of cold and hot plates is offered for breakfast. There are a good choice of different restaurants near the Alamo. I highly recommend this hotel.

- Meng (10/5): friendly staffs, perfect stay for a visitor - Everything is just perfect! The walk-in shower is my favourite. My bathroom is actually next to the kitchen and sound insulation should be improved.
- Susan (6/5): Present but I’d upgrade my room if I stayed again - Very welcoming. I did not realise I had to check in before 7pm when booking so made my trip stressful. Helpful welcoming staff, lovely common rooms and facilities. Tiny room with damp on walls, curtain rail fell on my head when I opened them. Bathroom too small to be comfortable. Nicely cleaned and furnished. Woken to kitchen sounds above at 7am on Saturday morning.

- Meng (10/5): Perfect! Perfect! Perfect! - The staff is friendly, Breakfast is delicious, and check-out is easy. I changed to another room on the ground floor after the first day's stay. Surprisingly, there is no such 'bad air' experience like somewhere else. Everything is beyond my expectations! I totally understand the payment policy(that the total amount needs to be paid when making the booking), as there are limited rooms there. But perhaps the option to pay when it arrives or some other more flexible payment options can be offered in the future? You can charge those who fail to come as part of the policy.

- Rhonda (10/5): Beautiful place to stay - Lovely spot in Glasgow right next to a park. Very quiet and peaceful but lots of places to eat just down the street. We had issues getting to the hotel with streets closed for a bike race but the staff were extremely helpful in making sure we found a way there. Very supportive. The room was large and very comfortable and breakfast was great too.
