Furthermore, t hese conveniences did not affect the seclusion nor security of the hotel. The room is apacious and clean. Breakfast is top notch, the varieties of food are abundant, can easily satisfy Western and Asian palates. Service in dining areas and in general was realley good. A very pleasant stay for our group. A special mention of Uki, one of the waitresses, she was helpful, prompt and professional.

She literally bang the door of each candle holder and made so much noise to a point I need to leave the pool. I think that's what she wanted to do. To get rid of all the guests at pool. • SPGPlatinChina (2/5): No Suites Available for Globalists - This to me is another problematic Hyatt hotel in China - they have sold all standard suites to a maternity hospital so Globalists are not able to apply TSUs to get an upgrade to a suite in advance if available (because they are never available) or a standard suite upgrade upon arrival if available (because they are never available). It's not right that local Hyatt members are never able to get the full benefits they are entitled to. This is too bad because I like the location of this property. It's right in the center for business and beautiful. Staff are also professional and friendly. Every time I've dealt with a staff member has been professional and up to Park Hyatt standards. But I won't book here because I feel like they play games by never offering standard suites through the Hyatt app for loyal guests. It makes me wonder why I should be loyal to Hyatt if properties like this don't offer the full range of benefits. Globalists and loyal Hyatt members should stay away and vote with their wallets by staying at Grand Hyatt or othrr properties like the Shangri La or Marriotts.

The check-in process was smooth and the staff were professional. My room was very clean and spacious. The view was also very nice overlooking the Qiantang River. A special thanks goes to Xavier from Concierge, who very thoughtfully emailed me before my arrival asking for my needs. Overall a very pleasant experience and definitely looking forward to staying here again.

Excellent service and room. Riverside view was nice...but if your room doesn't have then no worries--the view from the all-day dining or the bar are fantastic. And breakfast was absolutely wonderful with great attention to quality and details: cold brew coffee, excellent cheese platter, perfectly done eggs, local specialties, etc. Service was attentive without intruding. Would definitely go back for another staycation. Also...not too too far from West Lake if you'd like to taxi for a visit.
• BingX2643WF (10/5): A hotel that tempts everyone to read - Hangzhou is the home of many crazily expensive hotels, and almost all of them are along the West Lake. Those in the city center are typically the more (but only relatively) affordable ones, and Park Hyatt is arguably the most expensive among them, at a rate already close to those along the lake. However, I still insisted on spending one night there since I had an impression that the brand philosophy of Park Hyatt very much aligned with the DNA of Hangzhou. Before coming to Park Hyatt Hangzhou, I understood Park Hyatt as a brand highlighting nature and simplicity. These are precisely part of the soul of Hangzhou, the Chinese city that best revives the old, cultivated Confucius literati class culture. However, I also recognized that Hangzhou, or the Confucius literati class culture, had elements that the Park Hyatt brand might fail to capture – the sense of simplicity in a highly cultivated but gentle fashion (I know being cultivated and being simple are contradictory in the general setting, but this is precisely one of the charms of the Confucius literati culture, isn't it?). However, Park Hyatt Hangzhou completely refreshes my understanding of the Park Hyatt brand. The brand celebrates simplicity, but it is also eager to attach itself to the local culture. Therefore, Park Hyatt Hangzhou is not merely simple. It is also highly refined; not in the form of overwhelming decoration, but by performing arts on simplicity. It was like stepping into one of those well-kept bookhouses in the Keang-nan region: we can strongly feel that things are refreshing and simple but without shabbiness. It has been more than half a year since I left Park Hyatt Hangzhou, so I do not quite remember the exact details of its public area. However, it does not matter. One cannot deconstruct the words of a fine Chinese poem to understand the beauty of that poem. Each word is merely a word, barely carrying any beauteousness. It is these simple words coming together that create the wondrous world within a poem. That is why many scholars of Chinese poetry would say that Chinese poems cannot be explained and can only be felt. It is the same with Park Hyatt Hangzhou. It does not help to analyze the layout, the furniture, or the color of its public area. They are merely the very ordinary items that we can find even in our homes. However, Park Hyatt Hangzhou knows the philosophy to link them all together to create a kind of air; the kind of air that I had hardly encountered before. Yet, it is an air that is so familiar to anyone who loves Chinese literature – it is the air that many poems used to dream of; the air of humbleness crafted by exquisiteness. It is the air that can make even the rudest person behave. Please pardon me for lacking the interior design knowledge to explain how Park Hyatt Hangzhou managed to create this air, but it indeed succeeded in materializing the vibe dreamed by countless Chinese literatus. This air continued all the way into the room. In fact, the room felt even more like a classic Chinese study room, in which a scholar could isolate himself from the crowd outside to concentrate on his studies. I will not be surprised if I am now told that the designer actually referred to an old private study room when penning down the blueprint of the rooms. Even for people not familiar with Chinese literature, the light-colored wood theme of the room that stands on top of the Uranian blue rag crafted with plums is already sufficient to make the room impressive. A gallery tempts one to appreciate paintings, while a buffet restaurant tempts one to eat. So what does the room in Park Hyatt Hangzhou attempt one to do? I believe it draws one to follow the suit of the long-gone Chinese literati class to read. There were also surprises with the people serving at Park Hyatt Hangzhou. For a hotel on the level of Park Hyatt, I would not be surprised that the people in the departments that have frequent interaction with guests (such as the reception desk) are exceptional. However, what surprised me was that Park Hyatt was one of the few hotels that I found EVERYONE exceptional. It means that not only the reception desk showed admirable etiquette; even the security stationing at the front gate was gentle and polite. More than that, the sense of politeness I felt from them was not the artificial, or faked, one. It was those kinds of gentleness one can only find from the individuals who are well educated and rigorously behave themselves in daily life. I am so amazed how the hotel could recruit such a team of admirable individuals. One person in Park Hyatt Hangzhou is particularly memorable for me. Janice is the lady who helped me check-in that day. Need not to say, she is such an elegant, helpful, and patient person. What more memorable is that, after checking in, I asked her whether she had a piece of band-aid once I accidentally broke my skin. Janice immediately turned very concerned; even more concerned about me than myself! "Oh, you broke your skin?" she said softly with her beautiful voice, then quickly ran into her office to find me a piece of band-aid. The whole process is just like an elder sister helping her little brother. I can feel that Janice did that not because she felt it was her duty but because she really cared about her guests. The cut was painful, but Janice was sweet! How is it possible for me not to rate Park Hyatt Hangzhou as a very first-class hotel, given its refined environment and cultivated staff who would care for me like my sister? Park Hyatt Hangzhou is a truly special hotel. Even for brands that highlight local culture like Mandarin Oriental, all they do is to add Chinese elements to a western background. Park Hyatt Hangzhou is one of the few exceptions that really build itself in a Chinese fashion, with western elements receding to the supplementary position. To the best of my knowledge, this type of genuinely oriental hotel is absent in the Pearl River Delta. It is rare even in the Yangtze River Delta. Therefore, Park Hyatt Hangzhou is definitely a treasure for those with a deep love for traditional Chinese culture. Thank you, Park Hyatt Hangzhou, for recreating a place where we can appreciate the old Chinese beauty that I thought had long gone.

• YOICHI (10/5): Very Noble, Refined sensed wth advanced facilities - Enough experiences towards Foreighers who can only speak English. We can achieve rapid check-in without actual passports, with Only certification document issued by Chinese goverment. In the other hotels, long took time taken (over a half hour), more subsequence documents needed, in worst case, refused to stay. Very clever, sharp, and kind staffs at front office. Very noble, refined sensed furnitures, room accessories, facilities we can see not only in each room but also public spaces. Great, beautiful pool which can see supream city biew, amazing breakfast we can have not only delicious many foods but also active performance by many chef's. Front staffs （Mr. Mark and a gentleman) are so kind that we can have valuable information for travel. Suitable or reasonable for price. Highly recommendable. 外国語は英語しか話せない外国人（日本人）に対する経験も豊富。　ビザ更新の為に、パスポート原本を中国政府機関に提出中で、提出（預かり）証明書携帯の宿泊客への対処・理解も早く、超特急（1-2分）でのチェックインが完了。他のホテル(30分以上かかる、付帯書類も要求、最悪は宿泊拒否）では有り得ない、優れた体験をしました。非常に賢く、回転と理解が早く、親切なスタッフ達がフロントにいらっしゃいます。非常に気品があり、洗練された内装、家具、ロームアクセサリーを、室内でもパブリックスペースでも楽しめ、魅了されます。大きな美しい室内プールから見事なシティビューを楽しめ、付帯のジャグジーバスやシャワー、更衣室も素晴しい。朝食ビュッフェでは、様々な美味しいお料理だけでなく、眼前で多くのシェフ達のパフォーマンスを見ながら、出来立てのお料理を戴けます。フロントスタッフは大変親切で、適任者（マークさん他）が、親身に最適な観光情報をアドバイスしてくださいました。価格に見合う、或いはそれ以上でありリーズナブルと言えます。強くお薦め致します。

Easy to reach the major tourist attraction-West Lake; as well as the transportation centers. Local cuisine is delicious. The famous Chinese silk products are readily available. Only a short distance ride to the international airport.

• elleen (10/5): Fabulous hotel - We were impressed once we stepped out of the taxi. The team at the driveway are so helpful. And the design of the arrival experience to the lobby is a hit on our senses, sets the tone on what to expect of our next few nights here. Check-in was smooth and the room is simply fabulous. Very spacious, very comfortable. Love the room design. Thomas at the concierge is definitely to be commended. He gives us various options of things to do for the next few days, answers our questions patiently and gives us his full attention while attending to us. He even remembers our pickup times without needing to check when we are unsure the next day! The team at the Park Hyatt Hangzhou really makes our few days memorable.
• Gwen (10/5): Luxurious stay - This Park Hyatt location was newly opened last year. Facilities are very new and luxurious as always with Park Hyatt hotels. Location is not ideal for tourists as it's located in the financial district and slightly far from attractions. Most taxi drivers decline to drive there, making it very difficult to get back.

• Joonfui (10/5): Love everything of my stay - This is the best hotel I stayed. Very big room with great amenities. The hotel is not 100% done yet. I'm sure the guest's experience will be better after all the amenities are ready for the guest to enjoy with.
