- David (6/5): Decent prices, but a poorly maintained property. - We thought the location was excellent. We were spending a fair amount of time during this visit in Dallas so the easy access to the highway and being on the east side of Southlake was helpful. The room was noticeably in need of repair. Faucets were not attached in some cases to the sink, door handles were completely missing in the bathroom and the layout of the junior suite we were in made no sense whatsoever. It looked like the random furniture was placed with no regard for the person or people staying there.

- martywindell (4/5): Beware! Hotel in transition and not ready for guests! - Whoa Nelly! We have tried so hard to like this hotel but alas we cannot. This hotel is in transition. Beware! The time we were there they were having a celebration of the new transition to the Bonvoy portfolio. After all the crap we went through it was disheartening to see all the executives in the lobby celebrating their new hotel as they sip wine and drive away in their Bentley’s. When we arrived, we were given a room that definitely wasn’t ready for primetime. Missing pieces inside, blue tape where they had painted and left remnants of the work, and very gross crunchy bits stuck in the carpet. The front desk people are very nice and well meaning especially Noah and Austin. Unfortunately their job is a stream of apologies. Don’t be fooled by the restaurant. It’s a very small sitting area with your typical hotel breakfast layout. It falls on the expensive side. We did not enjoy the bar however it looked like it was vibrant at night with business travelers. Don’t fall for the speakeasy. It’s a meeting room. They’ve turned into a bar. There’s nothing dark and sexy about it. We were moved to another room, which was much better and things went smoother. However, we had to have the housekeeping manager go through the room with a fine tooth comb before delivery just because it seems like they’re always underwater and trying to make up for countless mistakes. We were told at check-in that we would not have any holds on our credit card because we were using points and of course the system started to rattle away hundreds of dollars of authorizations before we stopped it. It didn’t really matter to me, but I could see how that would matter to someone on a budget and possibly using their debit card. They have an accounting voicemail with an ex employee‘s name on it. I left a message and no one returned it. A week later I found out that person had left the hotel and of course more apologies ensued. I would give this hotel six months to get their crap together before you stay there. This hotel is not any nicer overall than a courtyard or residence inn at this point. I’ve stayed in every Bonvoy category, and while this category means to be sexier and more upscale, it fails to perform at this location.

- Brandy (2/5): - Awful! The walls are so thin you can hear everything! TV’s, housekeeping yelling down the halls & I do mean YELL! Every single day I had to hear the staff laughing, yelling at each other, even wheeling each other around & taking pics on top of crates! Crates because the place is under renovation! Which wasn’t mentioned. One guest yelled down the hall for them to shut up! But they laughed, literally laughed at her. I was there 8 days & only asked for my room to be cleaned 2. They missed my room one of those 2 days. Even with the request hanging on my door. Prob too busy riding around on crates while taking selfies. I asked for a working iron, mine wasn’t. It took 2 trips, the 2 other ones also didn’t work. Power went out while I was there. They had no TV, they had to buy a fire stick, no food service. Front desk staff were great. The white/ male day manager didn’t want to be bothered even to say hello. This was truly a nightmare!! Rates def do not reflect the renovations! I have already expressed to my traveling friends to stay away! Anywhere but the Southlake Hotel!!

When went down for meet with family spoke with the desk clerk about these problems. He informed us that they were doing construction on the 3rd floor but 4th floor was available. My question was why did they book us on 3rd floor if 4th did not have construction going on?
- SVRyder (8/5): nicely remodeled hotel - First time for a solo business trip to this nicely remodeled hotel. Location is near the Southlake Town Center with lots of good restaurants and shops. Checkin was pleasant the staff were friendly. Pool was warm and has three shaded seating areas plus outdoor seating with fireplaces. Bar had limited selection but good enough for a basic cocktail and beer. Room had some quirks but were fixed quickly which speaks to their commitment to service. Missing fridge was replaced within 5mins after being notified and TV remote system was addressed within 5 mins of calling it in. Room did not have drawers but it did have shelves for clothes. USB charging ports are convenient. Pod style coffee machine was good and the ceramic cups are a nice touch. Overall, a really nice room and pleasant stay. Would consider coming back again.

I understand that our rooms were recently renovated and everything else about the rooms were great. Spacious, up to date, comfortable. And we loved the little reading lights attached to the headboard.

No shower wash in the pump. A maintenance man tried to access the room to work on the refrigerator. This should have been done before check in. We had the do not disturb sign on and still 2 hours to check out and the maid staff knocked on the door! Also bathroom door didn't stay all the way shut.

However they did not mention that the pool was closed. I traveled with my son who went to a wedding on Saturday. - Malinda (8/5): Great place.wish we could have experienced the fire pits and pool area - Friendly staff and comfortable beds. The fire pits and pool area were closed. There was notification of the closure. It was one of the reason we booked that facility.

- Dawn (6/5): - Property is currently under construction so I would wait to stay. The rooms themselves are nice. If you choose to have breakfast, it is $17 for what other hotels give you at no extra charge. Most hotels add a "buffer" to your pending charge for theft or damage, but $200 is excessive and is yet to be corrected and we've been gone for 3 days. Cleaning staff took our ring of keys. Brought them back later, but why would you even pick them up? Just an odd experience all around.

- Melinda (4/5): - This property was under construction. Our first morning, right outside our door - they began tearing down the ceilings and laying plastic over the floor. We were still in the room! No one notified us to move! We saw later that they had sent an email asking us to move rooms - but they failed to call our room and leave a message! And furthermore, with that kind of major construction going on - we should have never been in that room to begin with! So we had to move rooms- the new room - the electrical outlets were not functioning in the bathroom. The sink had a slow drain - disgusting. Also the tile in the shower floor was like standing in an ice rink. Dangerously slippery. They provide a very small rubber mat for the floor - but we had to add a towel just to get get out safely. Total lack of courtesy for guests - will Not be back!

- Colleen (7/5): Nice hotel, nice location - but bar/restaurant undergoing renovations (perhaps thru March 2025) - Location was great for my needs. Very VERY disappointing that none of the descriptions made mention of the fact that the restaurant and bar were undergoing renovations. Didn’t realize until I had already checked in that the “bar” was a portable one typically used in ballroom lobbies for networking receptions. Didn’t even have any soda water. And the “restaurant” and “bar” were located in a small meeting room with a few tables with incredibly low chairs. Not at all comfortable for eating. There was a limited “bar” menu and the food was delivered into this room. The burger was decent. The sweet potato fries were barely warm. Again, very disappointing for such a nice property. If any future reviewer is planning on going out to dinner, this is a nice place. I selected this hotel SPECIFICALLY for the advertised bar and restaurant after a long day of driving.

- Verified traveler (4/5): Wall too thin!! - Nice, clean hotel, fast check in. However, I barely able to sleep since the wall too thin. We can hear everything next door and they wake us up every noise they make, which is not good for me since I have a long drive the next day with barely any sleep

We had no idea when we made our plans for the next day that the lobby and everything related to breakfast would be shut down for construction.
