Hotel location was excellent The room was cold and draughty, The bar was in darkness all the time. No music in the hotel only in the dining room at mealtimes. Would of been nice to be able to sit in the bar and maybe just have some music in the background. It wasn't very welcoming.

For the price I paid I was satisfied. Black mould on the shower hose, so I didn't have one. Room was clean and small but adequate for me.

- Monica (10/5): - When I arrived I was greated by Lisa she was so friendly and made me feel at ease straight away. As I am a solo traveller I often get panicky but felt at home straight away. Then I met Nathan who was brilliant, he upgraded my room from single to double. The room was fabulous, so spacious. Everything I needed was there.the next day Everything was changed, fresh towels and the hospitality tray was topped up too.what fantastic staff will definitely stay here again. Thank you for making me feel so welcome. Everything was fabulous there were no problems what so ever

- Scott (2/5): Like staying on the real life set of shameless. - The staff were trying there best unfortunatly they were understaffed which made me feel sorry for them. Theres homeless/ex prisoners staying at the hotel which isnt the family vibe given when you book , no entertainment and half the bar is closed. the whole place stank of weed as guests were smoking and partying in the rooms causing lots of noise arguing etc when this was reported there was only 1 member of staff on and tbh he looked petrified to do anytjing about it. Dont blame him he is himself and there was no security its not his job but the owner shouldnt be putting in these people when theres no security to monitor. Rooms werent cleaned and no towels or toilet paper had to go to reception to get these for both rooms.

- Renata (5/5): Not for familys with kids. Read other reviews - There was nothing to like about this property. Its 3star so we not expected much about it. However it does look better in photos than it is actually. Corridors had a smell of smoking and other not very pleasant smells. One of the beds was not even a proper bed, so my daughter really had uncomfortable sleep. Although my room was clean, between 4 of us, we got one towel, my friend had to go and ask for new set of bedding as hers was not very clean. Although we book something on the cheaper side as we were not spending much of the time in the room, We definitely not coming back and i would not recommend there staying with kids. If you advertise it as 2 single beds, put a single bed, not folding out with flimsy mattress trundle bed. It was weird for some worker’s working right at my window in the morning on the third floor. The smells in corridors were absolutely disgusting

- Emma (4/5): Disappointing, will not return - The fact it’s dog friendly, has family rooms, breakfast was ok, tram stop straight outside, nice little arrival gift bags for the children and even for our dog - cleanliness, room and all public areas didn’t look as though they had been vacuumed at all. Reception absolutely stank of cigarette smoke on our arrival - not great for families with young children or anyone who actually wants to sleep. the hotel caters for large groups of males/females. unfortunately unbeknown to us, we had booked the same weekend as a large “young farmers AGM”, so very noisy, being woken up every hour by people returning from their nights out and being loud as hell in the corridors. Did not get much sleep at all. Our dog is old and deaf but I can imagine people with dogs would have them barking their heads off through the night with the noise. It might have been good of the hotel management to let people know of the situation that weekend in advance as they clearly knew what it would be like - we thought there was a bar where we could sit with the kids downstairs for a few drinks, but it was all closed and in darkness. Receptionist came to make drinks when we rang the bell but had to sit in the lobby area, no atmosphere at all. - location is up at the North end so it is quite a long walk if you have children to actually get anywhere or to anything

The only negative was on our last night, there was someone in the Hotel shouting, screaming and swearing through the night. Not the Hotels fault, but really annoying none the less.

- Luke (3/5): Very hot and sweaty! - Location In our room 407 there were 2 radiators stuck on full heat, no dial on the radiator and the dial on the other radiator did not work. The weather was warm at the weekend and with 2 radiators stuck on it made our room unbearable, the heat was horrible and made us all feel very fed up and irritable. With the heat being so high we had to try and sleep with the windows open, this caused us to have no sleep all night Saturday or Sunday. Not ideal preparation to run a marathon when that was the reason for us staying! We even went to reception on several occasions to report the radiators and the lad said he would send someone up but never did. All in all a really disappointing stay which could have been so much better, it’s really put us off staying again.

- Matthew (3/5): Awful hotel. - Breakfast Room was awful, curtains wouldn't close, no toilet roll, two towels for four people. Kettle and one cup for four people, no tea, coffee or milk. Hairs in the bed. Carpet not fitted to room and tacs sticking up so son hurt his foot. Hotel smelt of cannabis throughout.

- Simon Hickey (7/5): Very good for the money, rooms could be cleaner. - Came for a chess event next door at the Imperial but needed a cheap alternative to stay for the weekend. Room were HUGE and has plenty of coffee/tea/biscuits to keep me occupied. Beds were good for the price and overall cant complain. Staff were wonderful, extremely friendly polite and helpful they deserve a raise :) Room smelt a bit weird but I'm not too fussed. Floor had random nails scattered so you had to be carful when bare foot not to impale your foot. Toilet had not been flushed when I got in which was pretty disgusting but never the less can't complain at all for the price. Neighbouring rooms are loud but I knew and expected this as I'm in blackpool and no ones coming home from a weekend sober haha.

- Melanie (5/5): It was ok - Great friendly staff. Great location on the beach front. Got a kids and dog box which was nice The heating was kept on full and the tv didn’t work we got lost walking down the 4 flights of stairs someone had to show us the way no signs for way out.

- Dawn (1/5): We as foster carers could not stay in theis hotel - We did not stay in the accommodation as it was not acceptable and was not as described on booking.com. THe pictures of the rooms were not once again as they are shown on booking.com or on their own website. We didn't like the rooms they were extremely dated, curtains were hanging off the rooms smelt damp and dirty.

- Whittle (10/5): Looking forward to returning here again! - To be honest the reason I chose The President Hotel was because of the amazing view from the room. I can't sleep with the curtains shut (it's a CPTSD response, I do it at home as well) and I really love to see the sea. I find it so relaxing and always helps to calm my anxiety and benefit my mental health so to wake up and be able to see it from my bed is the best thing I could ever ask for and they have it at an amazing price! The room had a couch sat right underneath a massive bay window with a TV on the wall although personally for me the TV was completely useless because the view through the window was farrrr better than anything showing on the TV! Breakfasts and evening meals were always great, it's a serve yourself system so I didn't feel any judgement for putting an extra egg on my plate haha. The cream of cauliflower soup that they served for starter was the best soup I have ever had! Highest compliments to the chef there! And I could take my dog into the dining room as well. I can't find a single thing to pick fault at. Service was always happy and helpful, nothing was too much for them, I needed an urgent parcel from Amazon for my dog and they happily accepted it and kept it at the reception for me to collect after my day out. Actually I do have something to add for this part, I WISH I thought to take photos from the window of the room I stayed in and not just videos because I didn't think about things like this and Google Reviews , I didn't even have one to be able to use as whatever that landscape photo is called when you look at a person's Facebook profile 🤦. So I suppose I have to come back at some point anyway just to get that photo! 🤣
