• vikrams63 (4/5): Tranquility to Band-baja - For 3 years we have been regularly staying at Anand Kashi, this was our 8th visit. We enjoyed going back because it was an oasis of tranquility, quite unlike other bigger properties. Unfortunately it now seems to have commercialised itself with a vengeance. In this tiny 24 room property with very few public spaces for guests to sit around in and enjoy the beauty of being on the banks of the Ganges, the Management was trying to host private evening events in every conceivable space. All the 3 days we were there during the day the Glass House, towards the northern end of the property, was used for storing 8 or so chairs, denying guests a space designed to provide a comfortable air conditioned vantage point to relax in and enjoy views of the Ganges. In the evening, all 3 nights, this space was reserved for private functions. In fact on one of the nights just 20 ft away from this Glass House another small party was organised with a live musician belting out filmi songs. Not quite what the Anand Kashi brand used to represent, but no doubt very good for the profits of the property. Fortunately the quality of service by the restaurant, housekeeping and security teams continues to be top notch and we enjoyed interacting with so many familiar faces. With this change in the kind of atmosphere the Management is now creating the name Anand Kashi by the Ganges is bit of a misnomer.

The property is truly amazing and the location by the Ganges is incredibly peaceful and beautiful - you immediately feel calm and connected with nature. • Sherpa62462821811 (10/5): Intimate Luxury and Soulful Serenity at Anand Kashi - We celebrated our 13th anniversary at Anand Kashi by the Ganges, and it was one of the most memorable stays we’ve had. The property is small — about 22 rooms — and sits right on the banks of the Ganga, with breathtaking views and the constant, soothing sound of the river. We have stayed in quiet a few IHCL/Taj properties but none match the view and feel of this one except for Taj Lake Palace or maybe Taj Wayanad. What truly elevates the experience is the boutique size — it feels cozy, personal, and you receive far more individual attention from the staff. While we haven’t stayed at Taj Rishikesh Resort & Spa, which is nearby, I would recommend Anand Kashi if you’re looking for something more intimate and soulful. We booked a suite and loved it. On the first night, we had some trouble sleeping due to traffic noise from pre–Shivratri celebrations. However, the team handled it wonderfully — by morning, they had another suite prepared for us despite ongoing work in that suite. That responsiveness really stood out. The food was very good overall. Breakfast options are limited given the size of the property, but we had no complaints. We especially appreciated that the food was lighter, less spicy, and less oily than what you typically find at hotels. The chef personally met us at each meal, which added a thoughtful touch. They arranged a special anniversary lunch for us. During our stay, Noel Tata and his close family and friends were also at the property, yet the staff ensured everything felt completely normal and seamless for other guests. A special thank you to Shubham, Diksha, Vijay, Kamal, Abhishek, Pinki, and the entire team for making our anniversary so special. There are some more names I would like to mention but I dont remeber them.I would highly recommend this property for a peaceful and truly memorable getaway.

A boutique hotel of about 25 rooms has great food, fantastic view to the ricer Ganges and has an exclusive Forest Essentials store where some of the products available only there. A must visit place for a meal or for a stay, depending on your preference and budget.

The property was super. The spa was great. The yoga in the morning by the river was lovely. The food excellent (especially the kebabs). There is a lovely bar on the top of one of the room blocks. I can't think of anything that I didn't like. Chef Upadhya and his team of Praveen, Jun, Yash and Pankaj provided an amazing and thoughtful culinary experience. The menu is not extensive but well thought out with one or two specials daily. Bhupendra and Mahaveer looked after our housekeeping needs. The reason I feel compelled to name all these exceptional people is that all of them as a team helped our Family of 10 have a very memorable and comfortable experience. Whether it was the front of house staff - Durgesh, Shubham, Sourabh or Vijay or the restaurant/bar staff of Manish, Jun and led by Pravesh - no stone was left unturned in making sure we had a memorable experience. The location cannot be matched and the rooms have been designed to provide all creature comforts while retaining the essence of a hill station hotel. Needless to say all of the team is helmed by the tone set by the GM - Santanu who made sure to speak with us multiple times a day and ensure our stay was perfect.

The property and staff are exceptional and it is one of the most peaceful and serene experiences ever. We went as a family and the phenomenal hospitality we experienced from the staff is so heartfelt. Firstly the property is nestled right next to the Ganges with its own unique “private Aarti” which is unheard of. They have a heated pool overlooking the lush clear Ganges that flows by and you are surrounded by so much greenery and nature, it feels like a meditation hot spot. They have their own gym, pool, Ayurvedic store, private beach, deck. The food is also exceptional and was to everyone’s liking with an elaborate continental and Indian breakfast. Their Chefs 🧑‍🍳 personally come to you after every meal for feedback and any suggestions. However what makes the property most special is the staff. We want to give a shout out to Sourabh, Durgesh, Ganga, Subodh, Bhupender Joshi, Jun and anyone else we forgot to mention. They are mostly local to the surrounding area and work with so much compassion, dedication and care. Their hospitality is unparalleled and the more we say about them, the less it is. It has a small private beach where evening Aarti is performed - and its mesmerising. We were lucky to get a room upgrade. The property has plenty of sitting areas overlooking Ganges - where you feel like spending hours, sipping on cups of t. To be frank, the property and service at the price point of Seleqtion won't make you miss Taj properties at all. In fact, I will recommend this Property over Taj Rishikesh. Very personal service that lately I have seen missing at even some Taj properties. They also gave a small parting gift of a small urn with holy Ganges water - which is so cute. They also had a freshly made chocolate cake as a farewell token. Loved the personal attention and the service that we got. I want to congratulate all the staff working here, to make our stay such a memorable one.

My parents wanted to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary to be celebrated away from people (coz nazar is real :P ) . My fiance searched and found Anand Kashi by the Ganges and despite it being on most online booking platforms connected with them directly. From this point till the checkout and even when my parents reached home in Delhi they were royally served. We got great discounts and upgrades from the hotel . Now this is everything my parents experienced when they reached there. The property was serene and so was the room. For 3 days we didn't even felt like going out as the property was like an embrace of nature combined with luxury. For us 2 oldies we were escorted, helped, and pampered by the staff members (Shubham , Saurabh and Esha) without even asking for anything. We thoroughly enjoyed the spa sessions and were even given complementary foot massages. On the evening of our anniversary we were coddled with a surprise dinner wth a beautifully decorated table and a seperate area with music by Durgesh ji . This was the cherry on top as after many years we got to spend such a romantic dinner experience where we also got to dance together on songs that we love . Our heart of is full of gratitude and thankful to the hotel's team for this warmth filled holiday. Our experience has left us with a yearning to go there whenever we want to get away from our home and enjoy our time in nature with peace.

You get personalized attention all through the stay and feel at home right from the moment you step into the property. Our F&B head, Mr Durgesh Patil set up a candlelit dinner for all of us by the Ganges that was completely out of the world. The food was amazing and the sound of Ganges flowing by added to the experience. The rooms were spacious and breakfast menu was sumptuous and the only thing better was the prompt service with a smile. Surely we will plan to be back at the hotel. Strongly recommended for families that are looking for some serious pampering amidst the therapeutic Ganges!!

• Tourist52702945222 (10/5): An Ethereal Experience - The room is spacious and feels luxurious and overlooks the Ganges. The coffee table and chairs outside the room were just what one would need to be able to sit outside and listen to the sound of the river. The in-house temple and their aarti therein makes the whole experience divine. Eating at the deck restaurants was an indescribable experience. All in all, the entire feel of the place is nothing short of ethereal.

• 19rajesht (10/5): Unforgettable experience at the banks of Ma Ganga - We visited the beautiful Taj SeleQtions Boutique hotel at Anand Kashi by the Ganges. The GM Santanu Ghosh and his team are gracious hosts. The GM attends to every guest personally, which is rare these days. The traditional Uttarakhand thali and the Ganga Arati is another level experience. The ambience is surreal and exquisite. It has the charm of the bygone era and the comforts of modern amenities. The view of the Ganga is awesome and invokes reverence. I doubt there is any other destination that matches the serenity and proximity to Ma Ganga, than this Anand Kashi boutique destination. I recommend you personally speak to Chef Upadhyaya and his team for your food preferences. 3 acres of property amidst mountains and lush green surroundings with mango and litchi trees!
• harpreetthukral2024 (10/5): Excellent Location, Superb People. - It was indeed a pleasure to be at Anand Kashi, While, we have been regularly visited the property earlier, when it was under Neemrana Hotels management, this was our first time after the IHCL take over. It was really a pleasant surprise to see the overall makeover of the property with added services like weather controlled swimming pool etc. The rooms have been upgraded to more modern and with better furnishings. What was outstanding was the people managing the property. Special mention goes out to Santanu Gosh (GM) who treated us with a lot of warmth and care and reinstated our trust in the hospitality industry, which may be loosing it's sheen in commercialization. Yadhupati Singh (Operations Manager), who is a thorough gentleman and a true hospitality professional. Durgesh & Saurabh displayed outstanding service with care and smiles all along our stay consistently. Pankaj Arya & Pankaj both were extremely hospitable and caring. While Jun & Rajni at the restaurant, both were all smiles and pleasant to talk to through our meals. Arjun with his innocence and service with a smile took extraordinary care for our housekeeping needs at all times. Once again, Kudos to the entire team for making our stay a pleasant and a memorable one.

Every service is curated. The location is out of a storybook. The management staff is also great. They make your stay extremely memorable.
• navnidhig (6/5): Below average - Expected better from a Taj property. High tea was poorly organised with limited snacks and no shaded seating. Pool wasn’t clean — caused skin irritation. Towels weren’t fresh, and drains were blocked. Overall, slightly below average but disappointing for the brand.

• Sarita2 (10/5): Great destination for a quiet and peaceful holiday - Beautiful property on the bank of Ganges. The rooms on the higher floor have a balcony with a fantastic view if the river. The room and bathroom are large. There are only 24 or some rooms so need to book in advance. They di a Ganga Arati in the evening. Food is good and Chef Upadhay cooked a great Trout entree for us. Breakfast is made to order and sufficient. Great place to be if you want a serene and quiet stay. Surprised that the bar was empty and guests mostly stayed in the room in the evening.

Service is exemplary and the experience is beyond spiritual. The staff are extraordinarily accommodating led by the manage Santanu. One of my favourite hotels in the world. Enough said…. This is one of the best boutique hotels I have stayed at and everything was wonderful. Staff - amazing, responsive, helpful - right from Sourabh who did our bookings and upgraded our room to the housekeeping staff, guard, chef, other staff members and the GM. They all checked on us from time to time to ensure our comfort. Location - amazing views - can walk down to the bank of the Ganges for Ganga aarti, feel the cool waters and its purity, enjoy the serenity of the mountains and the soothing sounds of the river nestled amidst mountains, with breathtaking views - adds a truly soulful dimension to the experience. Rooms - neat with the wonderful aroma of the signature Mist over the river forest essentials fragrance Food - must try are the amazing garhwali local cuisine dishes - all other f&b also well prepared for the palate Atmosphere - serene, lovely glass gazebos to work/chill with folks over a game/chit-chat, fruit laden trees and amazing horticulture Extra activities like morning yoga, star gazing etc also available as per preferences The team made it extra special for us with a personalised message and cake, small ganga jal kalash as we departed and special bon voyage dessert ...very thoughtful. Infact, everything is very thoughtfully done to make the visit special... All in all, a peaceful retreat where nature, spirituality, and hospitality come together for a lovely getaway, and one where I would love to come again.
