We were only having tea and he couldn’t be bothered. It was early and not crowded so no reason for this. Had some difficulty on check in but maybe just new staff.
Kristin (8/5): Decent hotel but with miserable elevators - The location is the standout feature of this hotel. It is walking distance from the French Broad Chocolate shop, which made for a lovely nightcap each evening. Beyond that, the room itself was clean and check-in was straightforward. The elevator is absurdly slow and shared among hotel guests, staff, and people using the parking garage on the lower floors, resulting in long, frustrating waits. There are no reserved parking spots for hotel guests either, so on busy evenings we had to pay for valet parking. Housekeeping also left a lot to be desired; at one point, the room cleaner threw away an unfinished lotion bottle and never replaced it. The hotel bar was another disappointment. For something marketed as a hotel amenity, the hours are surprisingly limited, and it is not even open during the afternoon, which defeats the purpose entirely.

The rooms were comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Perfect spot for a fun trip with friends and would definitely stay here again!

Rebecca (8/5): Great weekend stay in Asheville, would book again. - Location, clean, modern decor, friendly staff, handy access to the public parking garage with room key right next to hotel. For the price we paid, things I found disappointing were: Bathroom slider door (not much sound proofing), lighting in room good for modern ambient feel but not great for doing make-up, the restaurant environment had more of a business conference feel (functional) - but the food was good, no complaints there. That said we would still choose to stay here again.
Hines (10/5): We will definitely come again! - When we arrived two men behind the desk knew who we were and considering the debacle with both the hotel & booking.com not able to find my reservation when I tried checking in online the day before, they were quite friendly and welcoming! Didn’t care for the breakfast set up. I’d prefer coffee poured at my table and having cream and sugar offered as well. I had to keep getting up and searching for things while two women stood by.

Rchristen118 (10/5): Outstanding in Asheville! - Excellent on all levels. Upon arrival, Laura w comes me and helped me secure an outstanding room upgrade. Throughout my stay she also offered helpful advice on activities and dining. My room was wonderful - clean, nicely appointed, good view, and very comfortable. The property was situated in a walkable area with fun shopping and dining (great coffee spot next door). Parking was a breeze and very convenient. The bar staff at rooftop bar were friendly, fun, and talented. Grew drinks and baked up by a great kitchen staff and chef. I tried several items from the tapas menu and loved them all (generous portions). Throughout my stay Laura, as well as Brandon and Nick, with guest services checked in on me via text and promptly offered tips and answered questions. I really enjoyed my stay and found this to be a surprisingly unexpected treat. Well done to the entire team at this property. I would welcome an opportunity to stay here again. Cheers!

I call this out because it was so refreshing! Our room was spotless and almost sterile which is great for a pet friendly hotel. Parking was easy as well. The nice touch award was the eucalyptus shower steamer pod available in the morning! Will come back.

maggiesS5646XC (10/5): The Best Hotel in Asheville - From start to finish our visit at the AC Asheville was outstanding. We were welcomed by Will, Lauren and Brandon. They exceeded all guest service expectations and followed up to make sure we were comfortably settled. This was hospitality at its best. We enjoyed the beautiful 9th floor bar/restaurant-what a view! Our room was beautiful and the mattress was so comfortable. We have found our place in beautiful Asheville.
beckys955 (10/5): Great venue downtown - We were greeted very warmly and enthusiastically at the desk. I received follow on texts from Colin and Mya making sure our room was good. It was my birthday and I was given coupons to the rooftop bar. I used a room upgrade night and we were given a room with a balcony. We later enjoyed the sunset over Asheville from our balcony. Prior to that we had a light meal and drinks on the rooftop bar. Sam, our server, was awesome. She really made it fun. The hotel is centrally located and we were able to walk to dining and shops.

brianeP8964PQ (8/5): Great location, dog friendly, a few minor issues - I traveled with my wife and our dog for a long weekend to enjoy hiking in the area and some nice dinners. The location was wonderful, we were easily able to walk for all restaurants and shopping. There was plenty of space in our room for our dog and her crate and everybody was very friendly. The room was pretty comfortable. The initial refrigerator we had wasn't working, but we quickly got a replacement which kept our breakfast and lunch foods nice and cold. (Yogurt,milk, cheese, fruit). Despite the location, the noise wasn't bad at all. Few downsides: -Elevators were not sufficient, even though the hotel didn't seem fully booked. Often waiting 4 to 5 minutes seemed a bit unusual. - room cleaning happened at strange times, between 3:00 and 4:00 p.m. - literally no storage for any clothes. The only drawer was one tiny drawer under the safe where they keep the bible. No closed cabinets, etc. - most problematic was that on the second night there , somebody must have vomited in the hallway near the elevator on our floor, and despite their efforts, the odor really was locked in and unavoidable. It made it really difficult to be in the hallway. Overall, a nice stay with friendly staff and comfortable room in a great location. The lack of storage, and the elevator timing plus hallway vomit smell kept us from being able to give this a five.

Warm and friendly service at front desk, Will the manager and all the staff are extremely welcoming and are super attentive and do an amazing job in general! Comfortable and clean rooms, great service, food and drinks at roof top bar/restaurant with stunning panoramic views of the mountains and the absolute best location in Asheville! Bruce (8/5): Very good - Rooms are nice, great sheets. Rain shower directions are bass backward, but simple enough to sort out. Breakfast is worth it, but the espresso machine was out. The garage is not truck-friendly. Short roofs and tight corners. Long beds beware. Also, if you take your key to get your vehicle, you MUST open the gate with your key and drive out without dropping the key in the drop box! There is no pressure pad.

Two elevators to manage parking levels, staff service / housekeeping etc and Guest floors including a public restaurant. Whoever thought that would be acceptable is a clown. Build out an elevator in one corner of the parking structure to handle parking floors and the lobby, that will help at least.

We were able to check-in earlier than expected and were given an upgraded balcony room. We came to Asheville for a concert. This was our first visit. Your hotel is absolutely beautiful. It was exceptionally clean, tv included channels that were offered, hallways were very quiet, and there is a hydration station to fill water bottles or cups. The parking fee is a bit expensive. There isn't a complimentary breakfast, but rather a breakfast offered at the restaurant at the top floor of the building.

When traveling to Asheville, this is the place to stay. The AC has an attached garage, which is very convenient & reasonably priced.
596alanb (10/5): Cool hotel, great location - I was staying here and also having a small conference. From check in to Ashley and the event staff, everything was great. My room was modern, with lots of outlets, and it had a great shower (no bathtub, thank goodness). I like it cold in the room when I sleep, and the HVAC worked well. I also had dinner at the restaurant on the 9th floor and the food was delicious. There were 3 of us and we shared some small plates, including the marinated olives, sliced steak, seared tuna and patatas bravas. The location is great, an easy walk to many restaurants, bars and shops. The top floor also had an outdoor patio section with fire pits. It’s a cool space.
