- Malissa (4/5): - I didn’t like that the owner called me after I booked through Expedia asking me to call so she could switch it over for convenience. She made it seem like I did something wrong. The bed was uncomfortable and the carpet felt dirty. The property was quiet and safe. Overall just outdated.

- Christopher (10/5): Solid choice - Apple Creek is always a solid choice and a great value. The rooms are immaculate and comfortable. The center of town is only a minute or two by car and 10 minutes on foot. The staff is extremely courteous and helpful.

- Rick (4/5): - We had a power outage and had no power Saturday night or water or air conditioning of course. So we couldn't flush the toilet or shower. There are no coffee makers in the room and we had to walk across the street for coffee in the morning. I got a spider bite during the night, the next morning my husband found a web between the nightstand and the bed They said they would be doing some compensations but as of a week we haven't heard anything. We paid $690 for two nights and it was definitely not worth that! Not at all what we were hoping to experience.

The staff looks you in the eyes, talks to you and goes out of their way to assist you. It was perfect for me. You could walk anywhere, but not in the middle of all the chaos.

Lobby needs to be improved to match how nice the rest of the place is. Makes it feel cheap and convenience store like. But overall super nice rooms. Large. Staff was friendly but we were there one night.
- Lori J (4/5): - I was put off at checkin when the desk agent lectured me on booking through Expedia saying it’s fine to look for places on outside sites, but then I should contact the property directly. There was a nice patio area outside the pool, but the access was locked so it could not be enjoyed. The evening desk attendant saw us in the pool area and did not offer assistance. The front desk was also unmanned when we checked out after 8:00am. Honestly, I would not recommend staying here.

I worked a wedding for hair and makeup, my mom sharing the room with me would have had to wait 2 hours outside the original check out time, but they allowed me to extended my checkout time while working with Expedia to make sure my stay was as seamless as possible and did not make a fuss over the change! Also left a clothing item in my room and they had it folded nicely waiting for me even after checkout. So nice and sweet, they have that lovable Wisconsin hospitality 😊

- Steven (10/5): - The property is old but it’s part of its charm … we found it to very clean and Lyn is very hospitable. They are in true Door County spirit taking care of us as if we were family! It’s not the big city vibe that so much of Door County has fallen to but rather the honest sincere service that really hopes you enjoy your stay and they do all they can to see to it you do … from coupons for local business to soft fluffy pillows… we will so be back!! Thanks Lyn … thanks to your family and your helpers everyone was fabulous!!

- Roman (6/5): - Ok hotel. Lobby smells of Lysol or something like it. Interiors done on lowest possible budget and with zero personality that reflects beauty of surrounding nature. Bare sterile walls in bathrooms. Tiny old pictures. They could have at least tried by adding some large nature photography prints or some old retro style posters or something. Overpriced. But reasonably clean, not too old of building, nice staff.
- Russ (4/5): - For $200 a nice, this was not a good experience. Hallway subflooring is hollow and poorly supported so footsteps can be heard a mile away. Our rooms sliding patio door had been left unlocked and there were dirty coffee grounds in the maker. The entire bathroom sink countertop had settled or moved and was never reset properly. Room had a musky smell to it and their whirlpool hrs were not convenient (opens 8:45am & closes 9:45pm???). I wasn't expecting much but it wasn't even a busy weekend for door county so why the extreme cost for below average conditions?

- Michelle (4/5): - This was a very expensive room( $175.00) for a very small room with a shower only, no microwave, and no coffee maker. The online price was quoted as $139.00 until we actually selected a room at the Apple Creek resort, then the price changed to $179.00. As irritating, was the offer to add an additional night at a "significant" discount by the night staff. Waited till 9:30 the next morning to speak with a live person only to be told that the price was the same as the previous night. We have stayed here in the past(10 years ago) and had a great experience, but this was (imo) way over priced for a place to sleep, with very few amenities. We ended up a bit further down the door for the same size room with a tub, refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker for almost 1/2 Apple Creeks price.

- judy g (4/5): - Book this property on Expedia late at night on the road. Was limited rooms to stay for there was a festival going on and another town. Misplaced needs rooms updated they have a small coffee pot in the room. They have nothing for breakfast. And if you want more coffee you have to go somewhere else. They don't serve it in the lobby. For $285 a night you would think they would have coffee in their lobby. I would suggest staying somewhere else I see why they had vacancy!!!😠 Oh and you will not get your money back after you get there even if you have to leave early or on emergency no refunds remember that!!!!!

Room was very small as was the bathroom. Seemed more like a low end hotel you might find in a larger city. Also dont recall last time we stayed somewhere where there was no coffee in the entire place. The positives are nice pool and hot tub, great location, and friendly staff. Overall disappointing given the price we paid.

The front doors locked at 9:45 pm. I’ve never had that happen anywhere else. The air conditioning unit smelled very musty. Because of my allergy problems, we turned off the unit and opened the windows. I would not recommend to others. It was definitely the “budget” motel in Fish Creek.

Shopping is right across the street within walking distance, and parking is very convenient. While you are off of the beaten path from the hectic areas of town, you are still a short distance away from everything! I’ll definitely be back!

But they are severely suffering and lacking the hospitality portion of their industry. I have stayed at Apple Creek resorts 2 separate times for business as we are renovating a house in baileys harbor. It was a place to sleep, the rooms are extremely dated, beds terribly uncomfortable, they have tons of out of the norm “rules” posted everywhere, but with very little inventory available, it was one of the only properties with vacancies (now I know why) and with having my kids one of the trips it had a pool! Front desk person (who I found out later was the owner) was scattered and unorganized. I soon established she was just having a bad day and tried to look past it. However, after looking at my credit card statement the following month I saw that they had charged me 3 different charges for the same stay. When I tried to call for clarification, as to the charges, I was spoken over, never given the opportunity to clarify the dates and charges or get an explanation before I was rudely snapped at yelled at and then hung up on. This person owns the hotel, she is rude, crass and unprofessional. You will have a very difficult time getting a hold of anyone before 10am or after 10pm…so watch out if you have a maintenance emergency or need extra towels. She has zero manners and has allowed her personal issues to take priority over her customers service or even basic kindness.
- Jennifer (6/5): - The staff greeted us warmly. Our room was very much a budget kind of room. Nothing special, but seemed clean. A musty damp smell was constant, and for us, a turn off. Rooms are expensive in Fish Creek, we understand, we paid over $200 for this room for the location. The room was much more of a $99 or less type room.

- Verified traveler (4/5): Beware-This is NOT a Resort and Grossly Overpriced - 1. This is NOT a resort...it is like a Motel 6 with overpriced resort pricing! 2. Standard economy room is extremely small and should not be listed for two people...it is a one person room at best and is grossly overpriced, 3. There is NO daily housekeeping service for the overpriced rooms, 4. There is no communal coffee service at front desk, standard room has no coffee maker, and the coffee maker in the larger room did not work, 5. The inside is older and dated, yet the outside looks clean and modern, 6. There is minimal value here...you will be paying a hugely inflated price for an average (at best) room in a great Fish Creek location. It will be like staying at a Motel 6.

- Becki (6/5): - Went on a family trip to Door County. Checked in & got charged extra because my son is 18. The room didn’t get upgraded, we didn’t need extra accommodations, I was honest & got charged more (3 adults, 1 child). We walked into our room & it was very musty smelling, there’s alot of trees around the property that need to be pruned, so not a lot of sunlight gets to the rooms. Air conditioner needs to be cleaned because that made the smell worse. The hotel is just a little outdated; if I’m getting charged $360/night, I expect a little more comfort. Pool area was nice, hot tub clean. The staff is ok, but I got the feeling most of them would rather be somewhere else than helping customers at the hotel. Just wasn’t the most welcoming of hotels stays I’ve had, esp in Door Co.
