Guest Reviews
- Jeffrey (10/5): A truly great experience...the cottage is wonderful. - The cottage was incredible - well stocked and comforting. Bill was a tremendous host - everything is very well planned - could not be better. The best rental I have ever experienced. Nothing...everything was perfect.
- Michael (10/5): - One of the best set up properties I have stayed at.
- gail (10/5): This was the best rental I have stayed in, and I have been using rentals for over 15 years. - The breakfawst supplies were copious and excellent, from the coffee to the pastries, to the Hawaiian fruits, yoghurts, granola , and Portuguese sausage and eggs which we prepared at leisure, when we were ready to cook a little.
Everything we consumed was replenished the next morning. Nothing.
- Jennifer (10/5): Our stay was amazing!! Highly recommend Teapot Cottage😊 - The host Bill met us at the property to share info about our stay and Volcanoes NP which we intended to visit. He was very kind and informative and the breakfast provided was excellent!! Fresh eggs, sausage, yogurt and amazing breakfast pastries both days! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend!!
- Cantin (10/5): Volcano Teapot cottage - Bill was an excellent host. Fresh breakfast including delicious pastry delivered daily. We were well taken care of. Convenient location, 5 min to Volcano National Park. One of the nicest places I've stayed with fantastic host.
- Tammy (10/5): -

- Michelle (10/5): Wonderful - I rented this for my son and his bride for their honeymoon. They both told me how friendly the guy was giving them more ideas on what to do. Also said the breakfast was amazing and loved the selection and amount given every morning. My son and DIL has zero complaints!!!
- Susanne (10/5): Grandios!
- Deborah (10/5): A highly recommended stay for comfort, location. - Is a beautifully designed cottage. Our host thought of everything we would need. Amazing personal service. It was perfect.

- Michelle (10/5): Immaculate, cozy and clean - This is honestly the best place I've ever stayed. Immaculate, and welcoming. Comfortable. Clean. And there were fresh pastries for breakfast daily, coffee, tea. I could go on and on, but this is a very special place. We absolutely loved it. Nothing.
- Marie-france (10/5): This Cottage was perfect and the hosts were very nice and helpful. - Breakfast was excellent, plenty of food, fresh.
- David (10/5): Unforgettable stay, beautiful cottage, incredible hosts! - We stayed at the Volcano Teapot Cottage at the tail end of our honeymoon on the Big Island as our base to explore Volcano National Park for a day and a half. This cottage was incredible and a prime highlight of our honeymoon. The hosts, Bill and Antoinette, were so kind, informative, helpful, and hospitable in every way you could hope for and more. And the cottage itself exceeded my expectations in every way. Bill pulled up with a smile the day we arrived to make sure we were getting settled in okay. And then he took time to share with us his a breadth of knowledge and advice on how to spend our full day in the park and some on our way to the airport as well. He is very kind and it is apparent everywhere the love, skill, and craftmanship that went into restoring this historic cottage and then making it so pleasantly livable. Bill is a retired cabinetmaker and to this much less trained eye, his fine taste and work showed. I balked at the beautiful trim and molding, beautiful paint jobs of the interior and exterior, and the well fitted and heavy doors that were so satisfying to open and shut. The furniture and cabinetry were beautiful wood crafted. The couch was cozy and comfortable. The kitchen was beautiful and well equipped, and generously stocked with everything we needed for a hardy breakfast to start our day in the park. The bathroom fixtures, tub, and shower were quality and a pleasure to use. Antoinette's love for tea abounded in the hospitable and cozy ambiance of the whole place. We had delicious home baked treats to enjoy, more delicious tea options than we could ever imagine, and the decor and hidden treasures throughout the property displayed personality and warmth. I dare say that everything about this stay exceeded our expectations, and when we left my wife and I already told each other that we are definitely staying there next time we are blessed to be in Volcano Village again. Thank you Bill and Antoinette for an unforgettable stay! that we we were only there for 2 nights!

The kitchen was perfect with every appliance you could think of, and there was an amazing stock of breakfast foods, milk and juices. The bathroom was another amazing feature, the shower just hit the spot.
My sister and I agreed that next time we come the whole trip will be spent here! You can get anywhere on the island within good times, but more importantly it was a quiet and safe area that made us feel at home.

If they had a higher rating I would give it.
- Wendy (10/5): Volcano Teapot Cottage is fun and the ultimate in hospitality. - the hosts made communication ahead of our stay feel very personal and welcoming.
the cottage and grounds were in immaculate condition, attention to detail amazing and artful touches throughout.
we had scrumptious baked treats each morning with fresh coffee, tea, and a fridge full of fruits, yogurt, drinks, eggs, sausage, butter, milk, half-and-half, bottled water, etc.
the beds were comfy and could be heated and a cast iron fireplace to take the edge off a chilly night. nothing comes to mind.
- Scarbrough (10/5): Had a truly wonderful stay at the Volcano Teapot Cottage. Hope to stay there again! -
- Sarah (10/5): Perfection! - I’m not sure if it was the personal touches, daily fridge and cake stock ups, wonderful hosts, perfect climate, impeccable cleanliness, handy location for volcano park or the tranquillity and privacy, but this was hands down the best place I have ever stayed (and I’m pretty well travelled). Cannot recommend highly enough! That we had to leave! We stayed 3 nights and would have happily stayed 5
- Varaporn (10/5): It was a nice & relaxing stay despite the rain. - Great location & lovely cottage amidst beautiful and lush garden. Fully stocked kitchen including food & appliances, delicious baked goods & fruits provided by the host. Many great amenities were provided including a heated towel rack. Very nice. Unfortunately, it was raining most of the time during our stay.
- Michelle (10/5): Love is in the details. Thank you for the gf breakfast treats!! This home is very special; a walk back in time with mode - historic home lovingly cared for by a gracious couple for over many decades! not a thing
- Erin (10/5): I cannot recommend this place enough. Just so worth it. - Bill’s place was exceptional. It’s private and well appointed and is a perfect home away from home. If we could give it more stars, we would.

The location was so close to Volcano National Park yet secluded to enjoy the beautiful nature surrounding us.
