• Kelly (8/5): - We loved staying here. It was perfect in so many ways. Location was amazing. We've stayed in Hakuba before and struggled because we weren't close to restaurants etc. Being in Echoland meant close to transport to the slopes and close to restaurants and takeaway. You still need to plan for supermarket trips but the hotel has shuttles to the shop you can book into. The hosts were really good with communication. The only one issue was that the fold out bed in the lounge room was not super comfortable. It had a bar in the middle and titled to one side. Despite that, we still slept and it wasn't so bad it impacted our trip.

• Paul (9/5): A brilliant first experience of Japan. - Spacious apartment lots of wardrobe storage space, good sized fridge/freezer, comfortable settee. Good kitchen facilities for a holiday place. Great location, close to local bus stop and many good bars, cafés and restaurants. No on-site staff - although they were very helpful by phone.

The value was great considering the timing I booked. It wasn’t thoroughly clean when I got in but the host was very receptive and had that sorted out quickly
• Raja Shah Azman (9/5): Great place to stay for the ski trip. Will be back - I stayed on a ground floor apartment. Very easy access to the car park out front. Convenient to load and unload groceries, ski equipment, luggage. The place was nice and warm. WiFi seemed good. Good kitchen facilities meant we could self cater the entire time There is a washing machine at the ski equipment storage area. I wish it gave change but it doesn’t. So you may as well wash your clothes at the Aeon if you’re out of coins. I wish each unit had its own washer drier but otherwise it’s ok.

• Izabela (9/5): Specious house in a great location of Echoland - A large, comfortable house for a large group, part of an apartment complex, very well-equipped with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. This is our second time at this place, last year we stayed in an apartment, this time in a house due to the larger number of guests. Everything is perfectly organized: a shuttle from the train station, daily shuttle to the grocery store, a ski room with laundry, luggage forwarding service /takkyubin and very polite and responsive staff. The kitchen is stocked with basic supplies such as olive oil, salt, pepper, tea, coffee, and cleaning products – everything has been thought of to make guests feel well-cared for. The location is excellent, close to ski bus stops, restaurants, and bars. I highly recommend this place! The house is a bit old, but very well-maintained. One minor suggestion: the front door needs replacing; it's leaky and a bit flimsy, allowing a lot of heat to escape from the porch.

• Cameron (8/5): Still a great option for echoland stay - Location close walking distance to bus stops giving access all Hakuba resorts (without bus changes) but still quiet. Separate bedroom perfect setup for family with young kids. Restaurants close by. Unfortunately the mini supermarket (similar to a 7/11) that was close by (and fantastic) has recently closed down and limits easy access to breakfast and other similar supplies. Shuttle run service (book by 3pm) to supermarket at 4pm helps but not as convenient. Sofa bed, noisy fridge and bright exit sign not great for good nights sleep if bedroom already in use. Significant price jump in recent years in line with popularity of Japan as a skiing destination

• bstwed (10/5): Exceptional family chalet with outstanding service - We stayed at Le Bocage Hakuba – Deluxe Chalet from 24–31 December 2025 as a family of five (children aged 12, 15, and 17) and had a fantastic stay. Communication with the team was prompt and helpful from the start. The station transfer was friendly and smooth, which was very appreciated after a long journey. The chalet was spotlessly clean, warm, and extremely well equipped for a winter stay. The kitchen had thoughtful essentials such as salt, pepper, olive oil, and paper towels. There was easy access to clean towels, excellent heating throughout, and a very effective drying room for ski gear. The space was perfect for a larger family and never felt cramped. We were especially grateful for the exceptional support from the admin team when our daughter accidentally left a special item at a previous hotel. They went out of their way to organise delivery to another of their hotels, paid the delivery fee on our behalf (which we reimbursed), and then personally delivered it to our chalet. Truly outstanding service. The Echoland location is great, with many excellent restaurants within easy walking distance. It’s a short walk to the Hakuba Valley inter-resort bus (free with the Valley ski pass) and also close to a free shuttle bus, though these can be busy at peak times. Overall, a clean, comfortable, and very well-managed chalet with genuinely exceptional service. Highly recommended for families skiing in Hakuba. The only minor downside is that the nearest grocery store is a bit far to walk, especially in snowy conditions. This wasn’t a deal breaker, but a closer convenience store in Echoland would be ideal.

Staff were very friendly and courteous. Only thing was they didn’t have a mirror in the bathroom but provided one same day when queried which was excellent.

• Maree (9/5): Great property, close to food and slopes. Lots of room for the kids, nice homely feel and amenities. - It was in a great location, had a lovely homely feel and great amenities. The bus to the supermarket is great, as is the boot/ski room. Also another guest took a pair of our rented ski boots and we had to leave before finding them. The staff took the time to review the security tapes, found them and returned them to our ski rental for us. The stairs up stairs are very steep and narrow, it was fine for us but might be difficult for older people or young families.

It is a short 5 minute drive from most of the ski slopes which were a great experience. Good location as there are heaps of restaurants within walking distance

• Konnie (9/5): It’s wonderful property nestled among cafes and restaurants. Loved the look and feel after the snow and the staffs are - It’s spacious and cozy at the same time. Love the shuttle bus service and the staffs are very helpful and responsive. Carpet needs anti slip mat. Tv could be a smart tv where we can pair with our devices. We could hear the neighbors’ foot steps above so sound proofing could be better.

• Terence (9/5): - Spacious apartment with parking space and laundry in common area. It was in a location with many restaurants although many were not open or closed earlier outside ski season. Sofa bed was sunken in the middle and not comfortable.
• Julian (9/5): - It's a cozy property, good combination of timber concrete building. It has everything a family need for a retreat. The stairs is pretty steep & the handrail in on the wrong side which does not protect a person from falling.
