803hellot (2/5): Vile. - I went to have surgery in Stratford, which was traumatic. Not as traumatic as my entering my room at Signature. The smell hits you first, then walk in and it is disgusting. Like it's tidy, but it's never been cleaned. Thick with dirt. The lovely view of the drainpipe and wall was very appealing. I went down immediately and explained I couldn't stay here. I was told I would get a refund. I asked to take photos to ensure I would. They said don't worry. I left. I got annother hotel through booking.com I got refused my refund. The fact I was in agony and couldn't talk will help you to understand how bad this room was. I just wanted a roof over my head and i couldn't/ Booking.com also refused to refund me.

psdie (4/5): Goes downhill after the pretty reception - Cold room with no heater available from reception. Shower head tied to pole with zip ties. Phones broken in rooms. Fairly cheap, but not cheap enough for the issues.
Michel (8/5): - We stayed for two nights. Our room was basic and clean. The housekeeping staff were attentive to my needs for extra towels and hangers. The downside was that there was a lot of late night revelry coming through the very thin walls on both nights. It finally stopped at 1am. If you have an early start, as we did, then you might want to consider a quieter area. One plus was there are a number of good vegetarian Indian restaurants.

There was a pillar in the middle of the room which was in the way when you get out of the bed. The hand sink in the bathroom was flooding. The guy used a screwdriver for the water to go down but that didn’t help so we couldn’t use it The makeup light in the mirror didn’t work when we tried to use it. It just kept flashing. Overall our stay there was terrible

Verified traveler (6/5): Cost of stay - I was asked to pay the full amount of my stay when I got to the property, and this is despite the fact that I already paid a deposit few days before. In addition to that, the receptionist demanded that I pay another fee for security or else he’ll not be checking me in. Basically I felt like I was ripped off, which added to the frustration I was feeling after travelling a long distance to get there.

However I realise this was a budget hotel so not expecting lots of extras - but there was no bin in the bedroom or even the bathroom and no toilet tissue at all. Where was one meant to put your rubbish. One staff said the housekeeping must have forget the night staff said the rooms don’t have them. Why would you not provide a basic bin? The bed was comfortable - but it had this weird thick plastic layer on and only a sheet to cover it. Consequently it crunched like a sweet wrapper all night! That’s a terrible decision to put those on a bed. It also made me sweat profusely. Take those off please and replace with mattress protectors as even basic premier inns use. On a positive it was so clean and modern it’s just basic and it’s worth the price to be be fair but check toilet tissue, bin, and take the plastic off the beds! Oh and the air con was a welcome treat. Only other thing is guests can’t help but be overheard as the walls are paper thin..I literally heard someone brushing their teeth…would I come back? Who knows but I wish them all the best as staff are lovely.

Raymond (4/5): - The hotel room is dirty with stains on the walls, no bathroom floor towel for safety, no phone or intercom in the room. The noise from other room was so loud that I couldn’t sleep. My room walls was disgusting with different kind of stains that I was forced to go talk to the front desk or receptionist I requested for an iron and I was brought a dear black iron that messed up my cloths. It’s basically not for me. The receptionist that welcome me in was very professional and pleasant.

If you’re claustrophobic don’t book it. It’s a small room, no fridge, no desk, nothing else but the bed. Also, no food nor kitchen service. Good street access though, loads of restaurant and convenience stores. The hotel should write these things on their site and let customers know. I felt deceived.

Abbigail (4/5): - The reception area looks completely different to the photos on the listing. It looked quiet empty but was still tidy and looked clean. It says on the listing that reception was 24/7, however there was a few occasions where we were stood waiting for someone to come to reception for 10 minutes before someone come. The small interactions from staff we had, they were nice and polite. In the room, the shower curtain was missing, so we couldn't use the shower properly and there was no shower mat and we weren't able to get one. There was no towels supplied with the room until the second day of our visit after us having to buy someone as we were told we were given some. We couldn't speak to someone on reception as every time we went there was no one there. There was multiple marks on the carpet in several places that looked like round burn marks. There were also missing chips out of almost all bits of furniture in the room and quite noticeable too. One of the lights next to the bed was also broken, like the little glass 'shade' had been broken and it hasn't been fixed before we arrived and had jaggered edges. Throughout the stair well and walls leading up to the room, there was scuff marks from the floor to shoulder height and the paint was mis-matched in colour throughout (magnolia and white). It looked like it needed some attention. AC unit didn't work however we did have a fan in the room given to us from the hotel which was a bonus.

ellis (2/5): - Absolutely Disgusting – Avoid This Place at All Costs My stay at Signature London Hotel Ilford was, without exaggeration, one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. This place is an absolute disgrace and should not be in operation. First off, the male receptionist who checked us in had a downright nasty attitude. No welcome, no professionalism — just cold, rude, and clearly annoyed to be dealing with guests at all. Asking simple questions about check-in and the room felt like we were bothering him. Completely unacceptable customer service. But things only went downhill from there. When we entered the room, we were shocked. The place was filthy — surfaces covered in dust, a strange smell in the air, and clear signs that the room had not been cleaned properly. But the most disturbing part? There was a sanitary pad stuck to the ceiling. It wasn’t used, thankfully, but that hardly makes it any better. The fact that something like that was even in the room — on the ceiling, no less — is beyond disgusting. It shows a total lack of basic cleaning and inspection standards. We immediately went back to the receptionist to report the issue, and his reaction was infuriating. No apology, no concern, and certainly no offer to fix the situation. He acted like we were making a fuss over nothing and refused to help — no room change, no refund, nothing. Just pure indifference. This hotel is dirty, badly managed, and clearly doesn’t care about its guests. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyon

He was friendly, attentive, and went out of his way to ensure I had everything I needed. It’s rare to meet someone so professional and helpful—Fahim is a real asset to the team!
chrissX2333HL (4/5): Get what you pay for. - At £50 a night in greater london I did not have high expectations, however to stay in a room with a electric blind that didn't work to cover the skylight, non functioning air con on one of the hottest days of the year. Damaged fixtures/ missing lights in the bathroom, no toilet roll and having to go back to reception to ask for some. Only one towel despite booking as a couple and Coffee and tea not replenished despite a 2 night stay. All I can say is do yourself a favour and spend the extra £10 a night for somewhere better. Only redeeming features were the price and its close to the tube.

The staff was nice but the place really needs some work

I could have gone again but I thought twice was enough times of asking so hence my marking down of what would have been an almost perfect score

Lee (4/5): - Me and my wife arrived to check in at the hotel around 18:00. We were faced with nothing but an empty desk therefore, being unable to check in. I felt i had no choice but speak to staff from nearby shops to see if they had a contact number for the receptionist but had no luck. After waiting for around 25 minutes, the receptionist arrived and apologised as he had to nip to the shops for 5 minutes. I proceeded to say hewas not gone for 5 mins as I had be waiting for 25 minutes which he replied with ‘it was not 25 minutes, it would have been 7 minutes at the most’ By this point I felt patronised and appalled by his attitude, he done the bare minium and didn’t seem bothered at all. We were in a bit of a rush as we needed to freshen up and head back out to get to a gig at the London Stadium. Running late, we had no choice but to get an uber and spend money we never intended to spend. The room was more than suitable as it was only a place to lie our heads for the night although, my wife was disgusted with the plug hole in the shower tray which actually put her off showering. It was as if there was black gunge sitting in it. The noise levels were terrible late at night and in the morning mainly to do with the doors slamming shut. (Could do with soft close doors). Mattresses were rather firm and could kind of feel the springs however, to my surprise we actually slept ok. I hope this review has been helpful and what has been discussed will be addressed to improve this hotel.

M Saad (2/5): No Customer Service - It was the third time I was staying at this hotel and this time it was awful, the room didn't had any windows and the air-conditioning wasn't working due to that the temperature of the room became very suffocating at first we thought it will be alright but in the night it became unbearable, I went to the receptionist and asked him if it can be sorted as it's really difficult to stay in that room and all he said is we did sent you an email that says your room is 1 double room, Ensuite, no windows, so we can't do anything about it,. I tried to explain him even if it says no windows there must be an appropriate temperature of the room so that we can spend the night the air-conditioning isn't working it was looking like it's never been cleaned from years and there's no ventilation in the room. But he refused to sort that out and said we can't do anything now it's your room that you selected, even though when I was booking the room it didn't said anything about no windows only the email contains those words,. Anyways my previous visits there were good but this time it's disappointing.

Walking into the rooms of other people, a room with no power, broken AC in 2 room, tvs with no remote and it took 40 mins to get 4 rooms booked. The beds were really all we needed but we realised how careless the care was very early. The staff was nice though and by staff I mean the one man at desk
Paul (4/5): Poor - On arrival all seemed well, informed about the hotel going through a refurbishment, and was informed that my room had been finished... Great !! Um not so fast, I had booked a queen room I think it was 109 as soon as I opened the door I could see a very large stain on the carpet, I thought it was odd for a newly refurbished room. Then into the bathroom and the toilet seat wasn't usable barely attacnhed the sink, shower and tiles wearnt clean. Into the bed room, wardrobe with no hangers, large gaps in the blinds, very dodgy looking stains on the towels... It goes on and on. Changed rooms, this was an improvement from the last, but still not great. Everything is in poor condition or not working at all.

513AmandaW513 (8/5): a good 3 star hotel with nice staff - I would have given more stars, but I find 5 star reviews less believable when there are negative reviews. I stayed at the signature when I flew over for a funeral. The room was clean and smelt pleasant with clean fairly new carpet, the sheets were crisp and white, the towels were soft and white and the shower room was clean, fairly new and white also. The staff were really good and helpful and really pleasant. If I could give 4.5 stars I would - as i'd take off a half star for the noise (but its in the centre of Ilford, so there is bound to be noise). Its a 3-star hotel, not the Ritz, but I had a very pleasant stay and would recommend the hotel to other people.

cessmieater (4/5): Run down and smelly - No blinds so sun was belting in the room at 5:30am. constant stinking odour in the building no fan or AC room was like an oven could not open the windows fully as well all Night had like 3 hours sleep. No parking only really expensive car park in mall Terrible experience would not return at half the price. The hotel itself is on a really rough patch with beggars bums and crazies all on the streets as well

DayTrip23234093921 (2/5): DIRTY DIRTY DIRTY DIRTY - DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! We go away all the time and stay in hotels for the night. This is by far the worst hotel we’ve ever stayed in, we paid £170 for the night thinking the hotel would be a nice clean place to stay and it was one of the most disgusting hotels weve ever been in. There are stains everywhere and looks like it’s not had a proper clean for ages. It was so disgusting that we got moved rooms and that was just as bad with liquid dripping down the wall that hadn’t been cleaned and dirty marks all over the base of the bed and the carpet, these weren’t stains either ir was something that could of been cleaned and wasn’t. It was that bad they offered a 3rd room and we declined and went straight down the street and paid for a travel lodge for £110, £60 cheaper and was a lot better and cleaner than that disgusting place. The whole place is disgusting and they have the cheek to charge £170. Stay in the travel lodge down the road it’s 10x cleaner and cheaper. We still haven’t had our £50 deposit back either. The whole place is a dirty scam. DO NOT STAY!!!!!!!!
Sandra (6/5): Decent place but could use some improvements - Hotel entrance is hard to find if you don't know the area but it is located close to ilford Station and town centre shops. Inside is clean and decent. My room unfortunately didn't have a window and no AC and It got very hot and uncomfortable. Other than that my stay was ok. But there is room for improvement.
jatinder (2/5): - Cold water, sketchy place, door knob and amenities broken so smelly end up checking out a day early. Called Expedia to resolve before checking out no help either from Expedia or hotel. End up buying another place on stop for $242 a night because of last minute.

Phelangood (2/5): If you like vomit and jack hammers stay here WOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - omg what can I say this place was on another level of horrible. vomit on the bathroom floor of the first room and the second room was even worse absolutely discussing in 52 years of staying in hotels this wins hands down. Thought I’d scored myself a right result with a late check out for 12.00 only to be woke up at 7.30 with jack hammers I kid you not. I tried to do a video of how bad the room was however I’m serious you couldn’t here my voice over the drills and hammering that was going on in the hotel. I could go on and on and on however think I’ve said enough I’ll post the video on Facebook and check it out yourselves and make your own minds up it’s worth a watch as it’s hilarious 😂
Wanderer732725 (2/5): A dump dont waste your time - This hotel is situated on Cranbrook road in Ilford is a very busy thoroughfare. There is no parking for the hotel nor can park on the road. Not that you would want to anyway because the area is terrible . Outside the hotel are a number of homeless people some of whom harass passers by for cash. The nearest parking is half a mile away in a shopping centre. Also on the day of the reservation i was sent an email stating that i had to pay s£50 deposit. Even though the room was paid in full. The owner was very rude and aggressive
nataliasM9464CK (2/5): Horrible!!! Worse experience ever! Unsafe - room was so small that I almost cried. Walls so tiny that I could hear the person in the next room swallowing his drink. What is more he open his door and was having party at the corridor with his friend from another room till 1am. Did not react when I asked to turn the music down. The room inside is totally different that at the pictures. Dirty! Stinky, walls are scratched, hair dryer was so old and broken and bundled with duck tape, very unsafe to use. The (upon request) iron was burn and the ironing desk was dirty with blood stains. The toilet was dirty and it felt so disgusting to step there. Never again!
Connector768229 (2/5): Terrible! Will not be going there again! - This hotel is dreadful don’t stay there! The room was not clean, the walls were stained and dirty and it looked like there had been no attempt to clean the dirt off the paintwork. The wall above the bed had damage to the paintwork also and this had not been repaired and repainted! It was so awful that we did not stay the night there and took our belongings and checked out that very evening!!
155munirm (2/5): Horrible, untrustworthy, rude, condescending, insulting, shoddy, defective, discriminating - AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS. This hotel is currently under police investigation as hotel staff has stolen my tablet. Plenty of the rooms facilities were kept unclean such as dark mould like stains in the bathrooms drains, non-functioning air conditioning of which asked upon the staff who refuses to switch it on, broken ventilations so you essentially roast and sweat in a room that smells if cigarettes and weed and lastly condescending receptionists. The cleaners are currently under investigation so if somehow you’re at the hotel right now, I heavily suggest to double check your possessions as they will not make an effort to contact you but steal them instead. The star rating they have is a huge illusion, they aren’t worth the hassle and there’s plenty of better hotels in the area. I wouldn’t come back even if it was free.
James (2/5): Very basic hotel, let down by poor cleaning - Unfortunately, this hotel is suffering from poor housekeeping and cleaning. The bedsheets were stained and nothing smelled cleaned or fresh. The desk chair cushion was filthy and unable to be used. Fixtures, fittings and general finishes are very low quality and badly designed. I would not stay here again.
G2985PYdenisew (8/5): Pleasant stay - The staff was so pleasant. The rooms were small but sufficient. A good place for the price. I wish there was a piece of furniture with a drawer. Perhaps there was in another room. We were on the end of the hall and had twin beds, two small bedside table, a little wardrobe and small desk. My mattress was a bit lumpy. We kept the window open all night and there was no noise (until the garbage truck) I did appreciated the attention the kind staff gave to keeping the room each day!

Shower didn’t work, chewing gum on the bedding, phone to reception + tv didn’t work, wasn’t offered another room until they took my card back and won’t refund me! Had already asked for another room but was told it was fully booked so no availability for another room
Mark (4/5): - Really hit and miss; very disappointing and expected more for the price and advertised features. Loft room on the left, 2nd floor:- 1. Shower head totally crusted over with limescale, very few vents worked. 2. Shower head had no working adjuster to hold it in place. 3. Tile floors were raised and sharp; scratched foot. 4. Toilet seat was not connected to the toilet. Was on the floor. Pretty shocked at that. 5. Sink plug missing, could not fill sink, so wasted water. 6. The Velux windows didn’t seem to seal tightly so lots of noise pollution and clearly wasted heat. 7. The TV screen had been damaged and was not really watchable as had massive pixel tears right down the screen. 8. The 2 plug power-socket on the bedside cabinet was exposed – this is really dangerous for reaching over in the dark. 9. Room was generally grubby, spiders webs in windows. 10. Bed was comfortable. Room 201: 1. Shower hose is ruptured, squirts out sideways. 2. TV had no signal, aerial connection was not in, but when put back into the wall it was clearly broken - would not even tune to any digital channels. 3. Windows were wide open upon arrival. Realised this was because the room smells really bad, like smelly socks. 4. Bedside lights were not working at all, switches were wobbly. Had rooms there which have been tidier and had working and safe fundamental services (TV, Shower, Lights, electric sockets), but makes for a inconsistent and emerging unpleasant experience, with premier hotel prices.

Muhammad Awais (8/5): Value for Money - Location was good. The bathroom door lock was not working so stayed in the room with half opened door all the time. The bed was comfortable. There was no option of breakfast.

Luspit (2/5): Do yourself a favour and do not even try to book here!! - We have booked two rooms for three days, one was with AC whilst the other room was not- which obviously we did not know about! The receptionist guy whom i am going to rephrase what he said to us when asked about the AC in the rooms, he said: “it is like lottery” - disgusted, utterly disgusted! We asked him if it is possible to change the room but he the employee told us that there is no availability. The funny thing is that when checking on their site and on booking.com the days were all available. Then he told us that he is going to bring a fan which we told him two times and never did bring it! We reminded the other employee working as receptionist here to bring a fan and he was soo arrogant!!! Apart from that, a tv remote control was without batteries, which he did at least change. The carpet on the floor all marked with stains, the bed sheets as well. Again, do not even think about booking at this “hotel”. Not even worth a first star!
Jess (2/5): - They cancelled our room the day before, when i called to ask why they said its because i hadn't paid for it yet but it was a pay at property room and they said we can pay when we got there if they hadn't re sold the room yet, they were really rude and not helpful at all, will never stay there, awful badly run place
Jessd87 (2/5): Shambles - I had booked a room for tomorrow night 2nd July and I've had an email tonight to say my room has been cancelled, i booked this one because it was a pay at property and it makes it easier for friends to split it, they said they cancelled it because i haven't paid and my room can't be guaranteed, I argued that it was pay at property and he's basically told me that I can pay when I get there unless someone else takes the room before we get there, we've had to search about for a last minute room now which has cost a fortune, i don't see the point in having a booking system when they just cancel rooms whenever they feel like it 😡
hayleyo412 (2/5): If I could I’d give a zero, but I can’t. So I give a one. - I would never stay here again. Firstly room was dirty and stunk of cigarettes and weed. The reception staff were rude and unhelpful and would benefit from a customer service course. 3 people staying but only 1 towel. 1 mug. No care or attention taken. Stinky grotty minging hotel that didn’t feel safe, clean or comfortable. Avoid at all costs.
