Guest Reviews
- Daren (10/5): - Very nice, will stay there again
- dana (4/5): - The room was very dark and dingy, and they have roaches. I will not be returning to that establishment EVER
- Mike (10/5): - Clean, bedding was nice, staff was friendly. Would definitely stay there again!
- Ashley (2/5): NASTY - Very dirty! Nasty bedding.
- Daniel (10/5): - The room was clean, did not stink, and all the appliances worked. The air conditioning cooled the room in just a few minutes. The bed was very comfortable. I will definitely book a room there in the future when staying in that area.
- Helen (10/5): Great place to stay - Bed very comfortable. Room nice and clean. Very quite.
- Austin (6/5): - There was no shower curtain
- Latarja (10/5): Great value for stay - I am currently on a nursing contract and the stay has been pleasant. Great value for the money. The owner or manager is very friendly. And most of all very safe area. The only thing I don't like is a train track is nearby & I hear it sometimes passing when sleeping in the daytime. I highly recommend this hotel if you trying to save money.
- Melody (10/5): - The staff was so helpful and so efficient. They really go above and beyond.
- Hunter (10/5): - The staff was excellent. They did a quick and nice job with cleaning.
- James (10/5): Imperial Lodge - Room was clean, quiet
- Jennifer (8/5): - Its very near where we needed to be and clean
- Margaret (6/5): - The room was very clean but it also looked like it was falling apart inside the room. Wall paper was peeling off the walls. And they don’t leave enough coffee in the room. Only enough for one cup per person. Sorry but I need about 3 cups to just get moving. There were 2 of us. The toilet needed more cleaning to it also.
- Brian (2/5): Room was horrible - There were roaches, dead cricket in the bath tub, hole in the bathroom wall, toothpaste on the bathroom wall, smell was awful
- Kenyon (10/5): - Thankfully, it was better than my expectations.
I will also say that despite previous reviews that I read, this hotel is in Great shape.
Towel size was not an issue, because I’m not the size of a whale
It’s even better than the Hilton Garden Inn at Daphne, Alabama
- Chris (10/5): - If you're looking for a modern hotel with a lot of accommodations, this isn't it. However, if you just need a clean, affordable motel & don't need a bunch of fancy bells & whistles, this is the one. We've stayed here before & will stay here again when needed.
- Mark (6/5): - It’s the only hotel in town and definitely not worth $150 a night, maybe $50 a night.
- CHRISTOPHER (8/5): Family Stay - I stayed 2 days at this motel it was a fast check in and the room was clean. I had no issues during my stay.
- David (10/5): Room - Basic room that was clean and convenient.
- diane (6/5): - WI-FI was very weak, very old hotel. towels were small and very thin. granted, only hotel in area so not much choice
- John (8/5): - This is a budget priced property and it is a good stay if you want a budget stay. Clean and nice but needs some maintenance.
- Terri (8/5): - Almost all hotels and motels I go to if you’re not able to make it you can cancel your reservation and it will be refunded to you. This is one place that does not do that and I wasn’t really happy with that situation. We had a natural disaster in Sikeston and I needed to be home to clean up instead I was committed to do this or lose my money. And staying here was not cheap.
- Russell (2/5): - Expedia sucks
- Cathy (6/5): - Only motel in town. Rooms had a refrigerator and microwave that worked, that was good. It is a small town & this is the only motel in the center of town. Convenient to other stores. Loved the Magnolia flower picture. However, there does need to be some repairs or updates needed. Some bulbs didn't work in the lamps. Clock kept blinking. Remote worked part of the time. An added breakfast or snack of some type would be nice too.
- Carlton (8/5): More than you would expect - Last week was my second week staying and it was very quiet and clean also close to my job and restaurants with good food best motel in the city
service is outstanding.
- Savannah (2/5): DO NOT COME HERE. NOT SAFE. - Place was trashed and dirty. Had trash from previous guests and hair and bodily fluids. Also found drugs under the couch which I tried to pick up but it crumbled. The staff was extremely rude and slammed the door in my face when asking for towels. The room had blood and holes everywhere and roaches.
- William (2/5): - I had one towel for my 3 night stay.bathroom was filthy.cigarette burns on bathroom sink.bathroom sink had no water.shower handle leaked very bad so no water pressure and the water went cold in less than 10 minutes.bed was stained.carpet filthy and stained.no garbage can no coffee pot.staff was unpleasant when I asked for towels.towels were stained .there was a piece of wood holding up the bed that was hanging out and I hurt my ankle.tryed asking for a discount was denied at the front desk.worst hotel I have ever been to
- clifford (8/5): - property needs a new face lift, ice machine broke, bath tub caulk was dirty, tub had a chunk broken out of it ,place was not clean,no blankets just sheets and a lite quilt.was not worth the money,no wonder they got a no refund policy, would have looked elsewere.you need to check the places out more,do not look like what is advertised on the web,all in all it was quiet there, and desk person was nice and informable about the area
- David (10/5): Clean room - Clean room
- Raymond (10/5): Underrated! - Great room! Very clean! Very quiet. Very comfortable bed. Helpful staff! Awesome shower. If I am ever in Waverly again, I'll definitely stay here!
- Gavin (6/5): - there was no wifi and wasn't as clean as I expected
- Kimberly (10/5): - Nice rooms. Very clean. Friendly staff.
- Larry (2/5): - Ate at a nearby diner called the Rusty Rooster, it was great! The room however was far from great. Cigarette burns and stains on the bed coverings, stains on sink and tub, duct tape holding carpet down and bed was very uncomfortable. After about 5 minutes of unsuccessfully finding another room some where else, I decided to sleep overnight in my work truck in a parking lot. This hotel needs to be completely remodeled or shut down.
- Carol (6/5): - There was mold in the bathroom. Toilet seat old and stained. No security lock on the door. Door knob was loose and door could be pushed in and out with it closed. Dirty carpet.
- Ronald (2/5): Dump - I went for two night stay and no room for a large vehicle at all to park. Was told I could park across the street. Asked for a king bed smoking room. The room door was left open and the AC was not putting cold air out. No room to move around at all. It was only 98 outside. Other option was a 2 queen bedroom and it was a little better with space. Thing is No smoke detector, no vent fan in bath, it just hummed. No security lock for room door and two electrical outlets were missing covers and one you could pull halfway out. Never will I stay here again and Hotels .com should drop this place for it gives them a bad name for offering this place as a suitable place to stay.
- Joel (10/5): - The only option for hotel in Waverly. The non-smoking room was clean and quiet. There were construction workers staying in the hotel but they were quiet and very respectful. I had a friend who needed a room last minute and the staff gave him a last minute double at the single rate. I grew up in Waverly so it is nice to know that there is a quiet, safe, and clean option here.
- Jamey (10/5): Nice quiet place - Our experience was very good. The rooms are dated however they are kept very clean. The owners are very attentive. We had a leak coming from the p-trap at the bathroom sink. The owners had it fixed right away. Nice quiet place to stay with many dining options very close by.
- Felicia (10/5): - This was perfect for what we needed. Well kept and clean.
- Edna (6/5): - Location was fine. But the internet do not work and when it did it was so, slow. I also, find the ground around the lodge was dirty with garage in the back. The front of it look very old and the A/C gave off a mold smell. We left a day early because we could not breath in the room when the A/C was on.
- Maximino (10/5): - nice property & clean. Only thing bad was neighbors very loud banging around 1am for all 3 days of my stay. Other than that i overall enjoy my stay.
- Valerie (8/5): - Have relatives in town so closest place to stay. $10 fee per night for our dog. Basic hotel at $75 a night so no frills.
- Douglas (8/5): - Even though it’s an older property they have tried to make it nice. Enjoyed the stay and two good restaurants to walk to.
- George (10/5): Nice place to stay - Very comfortable with very friendly staff. Clean, fridge, microwave, cable, fast internet... sorry, no pool. Great food within walking distance. Can't get much better. Will definately return.
- Donald (8/5): Decent Place To Stay With Nice Folks - Staying here while we work on our fixer upper. It’s an older property. TV with Direct TV. Did not try internet. Host on Friday evening very nice. Asked for extra pillows the first weekend and had them ready for us when we checked in the next weekend. Close to good meat & three called the rusty rooster. My only complaint is the beds … very hard for my taste, but that’s just me.
- Larry A (10/5): - Nice clean place comfortable nice staff.
- Heather (2/5): - Nasty facility. Owner rude, called me stupid and dumb ass amongst other names. Yelled and screaming. Beware do not ever stay there.
- Michael (10/5): Good stay - The tub needs to have slip resistant pads in it we took a shower and my husband fell soon as he got it there. The overall stay was great.
- Jamey (10/5): - The hostess was amazing, she made sure we were comfortable and happy with our room. The room was very clean. We were close to restaurants which made it very convenient.
- Colten (2/5): - Absolutely disgusting black mold, roaches everywhere, stains on bed and furniture, bathroom was disgusting and was falling apart. All around needs to be condemned
- Joseph (6/5): - Very out dated and a non smoking room smelled of smoke
- Gladys (2/5): Terrible - The motel would not honor the Hotels.com reservations and payment. Had to pay twice. Am trying to get a refund from hotels.com
- Daniel (8/5): - It was obvious that the owners of the property take great care to make sure it is clean and accommodating. Although this is not a new property and the rooms could use some updates, it was clean, the bed was comfortable, the room was large and it was priced for value. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised.
- Sonia (2/5): - More clean
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The A/C leaked on the floor the room was musty
- Paul (2/5): Do not stay here. - Place was a dump. Not sure how they are allowed to operate. More of a crack house than a hotel. This place should be shut down.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Friendly staff convenient location to the event we were attending.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - We showed up and left within 30 minutes. We walked into the room where there were cigarette burns in the blanket, stains on the bed, bed was ripped, smelled, dirt/ashes in the ac unit, all around just nasty. Have been trying to get a refund for 3 days but the owner claims he can’t help us. Wouldn’t suggest this place.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Said fridge in room, my room no fridge. Family owned businesses which i support. However, could use more attention to maintenance. Door batteries dead door would not open with key cards supplied. Shower curtain/ rod poorly secured.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Bed wasn’t mad,
Room had a smell
Cover had burn holes
Wall border peeling off
Hasn’t been maintained
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The check out was at 11am. They came to the door at 10 and told him he had to get out. There qas supposed to have a refrigerator in the room.the owner told him its cold wnough outaide to out your groceries in the vehiclw. There qas garbage between thw mattrwss and the headboard. This place is so gross i dont know how Expedia accepts this on there website. I am going to dispute this stay with my credit card. I wiuld have never even put an animal in here. There is mold in the other rooms because the qater heater is busted and leaking in the other rooms making black mold rhis propwrty needs to be condemed or health inspections need to go there. There are also bed bugs. I cannot see how thwy stay in business.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Room - It was someplace to sleep, nothing special.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The hotel manager likes to yell at the customers. You better make sure you aren’t early checking in, you might wake him up
- Randy (8/5): - Location. Easy to find and convenient to my business in Waverly.
- Lewis (10/5): Nice - Close to Motox track
- Jorge (8/5): - It was a good find well suited for our trip. We wish it would have been a little updated, but for the town, we didn’t expect something too good.
- Margaret (6/5): Fire Hazard - The room was very clean. I wasn’t too thrilled about the electrical outlets. The plugs were hanging halfway out of the outlet. They did not fit into it tight enough. To me that is a fire hazard. Plus instead of having a power strip plugged in, they had a 3 outlet plug plugged into one of the outlets that hung out as well.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Musky - The first nonsmoking room they gave us smelled like smoke. They swapped us to a different room. It smelled very musky.
- Trisha (2/5): One of the worst motels I've stayed at - Booked a smoking room, received a non smoking. Went to the front desk to correct the situation to be changed to a room that the big overhead light in the room didn't work, we got ready and left and when we got back to the motel and settled for the night we found bed bugs in the bed. We packed back up, took pictures of the bed bugs and checked out. The hotel clerk told us when we went to the front desk to check out that he would have to check into it because he's never any complaints of bugs. The room was room 107. I know this was a non refundable room but under the circumstances I expect a full refund of the stay.
- Matthew (8/5): - clean and good staff
- PK (8/5): - Room was clean, looked like it'd been recently remodeled. I will definitely be staying there again & requesting the same room.
- Tom (8/5): - Fine low budget accommodations. Only lodging in Waverly city limits. Fixtures older but maintained. Management friendly & responsive. All appliances worked.
- DAVID (8/5): A "Spartan" by spacious room at a fair price. - The lodge is in need of overall service. The vent fan in the bathroom was hanging from the ceiling by duct tape. The bathroom door gets caught on the floor when opening/closing. But the bed was big and comfortable, and the heating/air conditioner was efficient and quiet. Spacious room, convenient location in town. Room rate is fair for what you get.
- ESA (2/5): DISGUSTING - HANDS DOWN ONE OF THE NASTIEST PLACES I HAVE EVER STAYED!!! THE ONLY HOTEL IN TOWN AND THEY CHARGE WAY TOO MUCH, BECAUSE THEY CAN! NON REFUNDABLE!!!
DISGUSTING... HOTELS.COM SHOULD NOT EVEN HAVE THIS PLACE LISTED ON THEIR SITE. I WILL POST PICTURES IN THE NEAR FUTURE.
- Tom (6/5): - First room I was assigned had a door that did not lock when you left room. Glad I tested it before leaving after check in. Second room had a bathroom exhaust that was unbelievably loud. Room was clean except for the 6 inch brown hair on the pillow case. Staff was responsive. Rate was reasonable.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Mediocre at best. Plenty of TV channels, though.
- Debra (8/5): clean and quiet place - It was an nice clean, quiet place.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was better than the reviews made it sound, in my opinion. For not having another choice in Waverly, it wasn’t awful. Either some reviewers have way higher standards, or mine are forgiving. Your call!!!!!
- Genevive M (6/5): - Shower had old fixtures. Office people were friendly. Beds were okay.
- Valeria (8/5): - The owner was very kind! and helpfull
- Ginger (10/5): - I wasn’t happy with first room but the man at front desk changed my room for me. He made sure I was comfortable and happy.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Hot water was only available in the morning if you got up early enough to take a shower before others.
The front door did not close securely you can see daylight around it.
Recliner was broken, missing the right arm.
The bedspreads had cigarette burns.
Only good thing I can say is the beds were clean but the room smelled terrible, I bought air fresheners to put in the room.
Not happy, not to mention the price.
- Jonathan (8/5): Traveling Contrator - Very good for traveling workers and good worker rates, great service, rooms are comfortable enough and close to Sams Diner, best little food joint around for good breakfast, country cooking always got specials and a delicious meat and 3.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Imperial lodge had one level floor didn't have to worry about climbing stair's,restaurant was real close, not far from our route where we were headed.
