- Pascal Götzmann (10/5): - Eine kleine Ruheoase in Tamarindo. Es ist sehr ruhig dort, dennoch ist man in 10 Minuten am Strand von Tamarindo. Man kann sehr gut am Pool entspannen. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön und sauber. Das Frühstück hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Wir können die Unterkunft aufjedenfall weiterempfehlen.

There was a desk and chair, not sure why, where the space would be better used with some drawers or shelves. In the bathroom there were some ants chewing the woodwork around the which was on the floor, and the rather large ants were all over the bathroom. The paint work was tired and sloppily done. The tile grout on the floor and in the bathroom was stained yellow.

- Vera (10/5): - This was our best experience in Tamarindo! Before this, we stayed in hotels with much higher prices, but unfortunately, they didn’t meet our expectations. We fell in love with La Ramona from the very first moment — everything looks exactly like in the photos, it’s very clean and cozy, and you can really feel the attention to detail. The breakfast is excellent, and the rainwater pool is truly something special! We would also like to highlight Pavel and his team — they are always available and ready to help with anything right away. This level of care is rare to find. We highly recommend this place and will definitely be back!

- Elmer (4/5): Poor maintenance - Besides the bathroom, the rest of the room was very clean During my stay, I experienced some cleanliness and maintenance issues. The shower did not drain properly, causing water to pull on the floor , which was very uncomfortable. Additionally , the faucet in the bathroom sink was dirty and did not look clean , making it unpleasant to use . Unfortunately these issues affected my overall experience at the hotel

- Christian (8/5): Das Eine oder Andere an den Erdgeschoss Zimmern wäre wohl zu Sanieren aber sonst eine gemütliche Unterkunft - Die Lage war für uns perfekt, etwa 10 Minuten zu Fuss bis zum Strand, Supermarkt und ins Zentrum. 2-5 Minuten zu Restaurants und Nacht Market. Es ist in einer sehr ruhigen Gegend, mann hört fast keine Hunde und die Leute im Nachbarzimmer hat man auch nicht gehört. Die Putzfrau hat auch das Frühstück gemacht und es war alles sehr gut und alles sehr sauber. Der Pool hatte am ersten Tag eher trübes Wasser und an den Wänden hat es auch schon einige Ablagerungen. Unsere Tochter hat die ganze Nacht erbrochen nach dem sie im Pool war. Am zweiten Tag war das Wasser eventuell gerade frisch, oder mann hat das Wasser gereinigt. Da wir mit den Kindern Schule machten waren wir ein wenig auf das Internet angewiesen, das hat leider nicht immer gut funktioniert, aber es war ok. In der Dusche müssten unbedingt die Fugen erneuert werden, zum Teil haben die ganz gefehlt und so haben sich sehr viele Rückstände und Bakterien dort drinnen gesammelt .

- Fredericke (2/5): Les attentes d’un hôtel 4 étoiles n’ont clairement pas été atteintes par ce séjour. - La piscine était bien, les dimensions de la chambre étaient adéquates. Déjeuner copieux et varié. Dès notre arrivé, nous avons remarqué que la chambre n’était pas très propre (multiples toiles d’araignées, accumulation de poussière, moisissure au bas de la toilette, etc.). Cette même soirée, nous avons retrouvé quelques coquerelles dans la chambre. Nous avons rapidement avisé l’employé à l’accueil qui n’a pas été surpris de cette information et qui nous a rapidement suggéré un spray spécifique contre les coquerelles qu’il nous a laissé pour la nuit. Nous avons demandé de changer de chambre, l’homme nous a indiqué que c’était impossible et n’a fournit aucune autre solution. Nous avons dû tuer d’autres coquerelles et plusieurs araignées ensuite. Le lendemain matin, l’employé n’avait pas fait le suivi avec l’équipe en place. Nous avons dû aviser le gérant qui s’est excusé et a accepté de faire nettoyer notre chambre à nouveau. La chambre était plus propre ensuite … nous n’avons eu aucun retour/aucune excuse ou autre suivi de sa part ensuite … nous avons trouvé plusieurs autres insectes dans la chambre ensuite. À noter que nous sommes restées dans 6 autres hébergements au Costa Rica (« Hostel » et Airbnb) et nous n’avons jamais retrouvé ces insectes ailleurs. C’était le premier « hôtel » que nous avions réservé au Costa Rica et nous avons été déçue par le manque de propreté.

- Maren (8/5): Schönes Boutique-Hotel mit sehr geräumigen Zimmern - Ein wirklich schönes kleines Boutique-Hotel in Tamarindo, welches sich in der Nähe zum Stadtzentrum befindet. Die Zimmer sind sehr großzügig geschnitten und wirkten sehr modern. Die Mitarbeitende sind sehr freundlich und als wir ein Problem hatten, war sogar der Manager für uns direkt ansprechbar und hat mit uns eine Lösung gefunden. Wirklich hervorragender Service!

Wir hatten zu zweit ein Familienzimmer, dass sich direkt unten am Pool befunden hat. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig, super sauber und mit allem was man braucht ausgestattet. Der Pool war wunderschön und super zum Entspannen. Die Eigentümer, sowie jegliches Personal waren äußerst nett und zuvorkommend, man fühlte sich sehr herzlich willkommen. Das Frühstück wurde frisch zubereitet und super lecker. Parkplätze direkt vor dem Hotel genügend vorhanden und der Ort, Strand, sowie Restaurants auch einfach fußläufig erreichbar. Ich würde es jedem weiterempfehlen, der ein ruhigen Ort zum Entspannen sucht. -

- Jana (8/5): Schönes Hotel! - Tolles Hotel abseits vom Trubel auf unbefestigten Wegen aber mit kurzem Weg ins Zentrum. Die Charming Suite direkt neben dem Pool war sehr schön und verfügte über eine leise Klimaanlage, einen Föhn, Duschprodukte, einen Kühlschrank sowie eine Kaffeemaschine. Das Frühstück war ein Mix aus traditionell und amerikanisch und wirklich fantastisch. Leider befanden sich an manchen Stellen Löcher in den Wänden, sodass Ameisen und andere Kleintiere ins Zimmer gelangten. Zudem war die Bettdecke schmutzig und es befanden sich diverse Haare in der Duschablage sowie an den Duschwänden.
- Nils (10/5): Toller Aufenthalt - Wir hatten die Deluxe Suite und waren zwei Nächte hier. Alles war sauber, die Lage ist total ruhig und dennoch ist man schnell im Zentrum oder am Strand. Die Deluxe Suite ist cool. Draußen zu duschen und in die Badewanne zu gehen hat etwas Außergewöhnliches. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und lecker. Es könnte mehr Steckdosen geben. Das ist allerdings kein Grund, einen Stern abzuziehen.

Výborne sme sa cítili vďaka srdečnosti a ústretovosti hostiteľov hotela. Zakaždým sa informovali , či nám niečo nechýba, či sme spokojné… Celý areal i izby boli udržiavané a čisté. Ohromili nás skvelé raňajky- hlavne rýchlo a chutne pripravené, ktoré nás naštartovali do celého dňa. -

The staff was friendly and welcoming! The set up is closer to an appartement than to a hotel but you don’t really get the privacy or the facilities of an appartement .

- Ivan (10/5): - A truly wonderful place where the hotel owner, Pavel, and the staff do everything possible to make you feel like part of the family. Before arrival, you can book tours and activities, and Pavel will happily recommend and explain everything. The hotel is very clean. We stayed in the new part of the property, which also has a small but multifunctional gym. The air conditioning works perfectly here, and unlike many other hotels, the owners allow guests to set it to any temperature (in other places you often can’t set it below 24°C 🙂). We also recommend ordering the paid breakfasts - they are excellent. We will definitely come back for Christmas. Pura Vida!

Considering that we were just coming back from a magical place in Nosara for the same price, I just cannot see anything good about this accommodation. The photos are slightly different from the reality, the staff is not super friendly and welcoming. It's a fine place but there's nothing really special about it.

- simran (4/5): - it was very very far from the city and there are no roads or sidewalks just really rocky and dusty roads and it’s very uphill so all my cute shoes got messed up. the staff was ok not mean but nothing special, they were kind to me even though i checked out 30 mins late. the room is nice they give you cute little lotions and stuff and there is an AC which is very important because it’s so hot. there was much much much nicer hostels towards the city center that are around the same price. it would be def worth it to stay in a private room there with a beach front and actual walkable streets. the location really makes the experience not worthwhile

- Steve (10/5): I will be back! - The best part was the hospitality! We had early fishing and would/should have missed complimentary breakfast. Instead the host was up early to prepare coffee and send us off with full belly’s! The property was all very clean and modern. My room even had an outdoor shower which was unexpected and enjoyable. I can not think of one thing I would have changed
- Victoria (5/5): - The room was nice and the bathroom big. I have never met a person that was so rude while smiling. The manager did not make us feel welcome at all. It felt like we were bothering him, so we avoided asking anything at all. The "upstairs" guests only get breakfast from 7 to 8 which is far to early. The WiFi was very spotty, even with the extender. The walk into town is not nice since it's up and unpaved hill.
- Farzaneh (9/5): - The outdoor shower was amazing. The room was very clean, and the facilities felt brand new. The staff were extremely friendly, and check-in took less than five minutes when we arrived at 10 p.m. There was also free parking right in front of the door, which was very convenient. The hotel is very close to the Tamarindo Estuary tour, which I highly recommend. The room included a coffee machine with good-quality coffee, a safe box, a fridge, a hair dryer, shampoo, and conditioner. The rooms are very spacious and have two showers—one inside and a second private outdoor shower. Breakfast was also excellent, with juice, coffee, fresh fruits, jam, pancakes, butter, and eggs. The pool was quite small. In our room, we also noticed a lizard in the bathroom that stayed there throughout the night. 😊

Despite Tamarindo being quite noisy, the hotel is in a peaceful area, the staff is genuinely kind, and the breakfast is absolutely delicious Everything was perfect

- daniel (10/5): - Mein Zimmer war ganz neu, erst im April letzten Jahres hat das Hotel ausgebaut. Das Bockspringbett war superbequem! Der Chef vom Hotel und das Personal sehr freundlich. Der Besitzer hat mir geholfen, ein Ubertaxi zu bestellen, weil meine App nicht funktioniert hat. Alles okay!

- Uladzislau (10/5): - This was our first time in Costa Rica, and we stayed at the wonderful La Ramona Hotel. We were in the new part of the hotel, and everything was excellent — the room, the facilities, and the overall atmosphere. Special thanks to the manager, Pavel, who was very attentive and always ready to help. The breakfast was great, and there is even a small gym, which was a nice bonus. Unlike many other hotels, this place has hot water, which really mattered. We also recommend booking excursions in advance — Pavel helps choose the best options. We will definitely come back. Pura Vida!

- Andrei Yakubovich (10/5): - Excellent hotel! Very clean and well maintained, the room was comfortable and peaceful. Breakfast had a good variety, everything was fresh and tasty. The hotel is very quiet, perfect for relaxing. There is a large swimming pool with clean water and a private gym, which was a great bonus. The bed linen is of excellent quality, making sleep very comfortable. The hosts are extremely friendly, helpful, and welcoming. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back. Highly recommended!
