- Wing Chi (6/5): Was okay. - Good if you want to have elephant safari. The host arranges tour, better ask for binocular since it's totally by luck whether you can see it really up-close. Simple breakfast, bread, bananas and tea. Has a hommock outside. You see monkeys and peacocks too. My shoes were gone on the second day. The host said dog took my shoes... Lesson learnt, lock your shoes in the room. Room is a bit damp but it's a bit rainy while I was staying. Phone reception is really bad with my dialog (almost no singal), but the house wifi was also unstable, sometimes full connection sometimes none. I was told mobitel is better but not tested.

- Pietro (10/5): - The host has been so nice to me during the 2 days I spent at his place. Organizing every aspect of my stay. Thank you very much.
- Amirthaliingam (9/5): Great few nights in a very friendly, comfortable hotel which served delicious breakfasts. - The owner, Sanjeewa, was exceptional, nothing was too much trouble for him. He organised great Jeep drives with excellent drrivers who were also knowledgeable about the wildlife, the area and the society. The place was spotlessly clean, and the beds comfortable. There were no added luxeries but the basic towels, soap and similar were in the bathroom that had a good hot water system. Value for money it exceeded expectations
- Shako (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bogna (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice, helpfull owner. Chilled place. Great safari.
- Anne (10/5): Exceptional - It was s great pleasure staying with this lovely family! Our children immediately became friends and we got all possible help and more. Unfortunately I had booked another safari before and couldn't cancel it. Otherwise we would have loved to make a Safari with them. Their jeep is great, comfortable and luxurious ;-)
Breakfast was very good, the room had everything needed plus a nice terrace with a hammock!
- B (7/5): Good - Didn't take breakfast, location good. Price could reduce.
- Lilia (10/5): Exceptional - Very friendly host who also helped us organize various activities. The location is ideal as a starting point to explore Sigiriya (25 min tuktuk), Polonnaruwa (1h bus ride near the homestay) and Ritigala (45 min tuktuk). Great elephant safaris for fair prices to the nearby national parks are also offered.
- Jonathan (9/5): Expectional Safari, basic rooms, and super friendly owner - This place was one of the cheapest double rooms with bathroom I have ever stayed in, and it was worth every penny! The owner was super friendly and booked a Safari tour for us, with one of his friends who was an exceptional driver. He would always drive us to the best places between the other cars and right in front of the elephants in the National park. I loved the stay here! The rooms are really basic, and unfortunately it rained the whole time while we were there, but other than that, I loved it. The rooms were very dark, and the WiFi was really bad. But I did not come there for the WiFi.
- Alena (10/5): I liked everything, the price matches the quality. Very nice and friendly family. - Cleanliness and order. It was raining heavily and the WiFi wasn't working.
- David (10/5): I had a very nice experience at Sanjeewa’s house! It was so unique, Sanjeewa and his family were friendly and welcoming, -
- Anna (10/5): We had so much fun, the owner of the place organized a lot of things for us and it felt like home for a bit :) -
- Megan (10/5): This place is good value for money and the owner is so friendly and helpful. - Very helpful owner who gave us lots of helpful recommendations and was really informative about the buses etc. The room is really comfortable. Considering it was so hot while we were there the fan worked really well and was quiet enough for both of us to sleep well. Delicious Sri Lankan breakfast in the mornings.
- Julen (8/5): 100% recommendable - I highly recommend this guesthouse! The host was fantastic, going above and beyond to help me book an incredible safari tour. The breakfast provided was delicious and started each day perfectly. The guesthouse itself was comfortable and offered excellent value for the price. If you're looking for a welcoming place with great service, this is it!
- James (8/5): Good job - Owner was very informative and friendly. He sorted many tuk tuks and adventures for us Was quite hot in the room with no AC
- Magdalena (10/5): Exceptional - The owner is really nice and helpful. He organized a safari trip very well and he provide me driver for late arrival and trip to sigiryia at 5 AM. The room is clean, you have a bathroom for your own, everything works well. There is a nice Garden where you cen rest. It is a really good price for the comfortable stay. Everything was fine
- Mária (10/5): Wonderful owner and his family. Good location next to the famous places. - We liked everything about this accommodation. Location and room was really nice. Owner was wonderful, he waited for us almost until midnight and we had to wake up early. He prepared the breakfast for us. He got for us tuk tuk driver to Sigiriya and also to Kandy. Safari which he provided was unbelievable.
- Jay (8/5): Very good - Price was good but in the end I didn't stay as there was no aircon as listing said there was. Listing states there is aircon room. There is not. It's dated but clean.
- Roksana (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely, welcoming family. Nice room with outdoor space with chairs and hammock, you can relax in the afternoon and watch monkeys jumping around. Owner organized safari for me even thought i was by alone and got jeep just for myself. Elephant Safari was amazing! Great driver/guide with a lot of knowledge and great attitude. I took morning safari bc there is less people and it was a good decision. I have seen plenty of elephants plus a lot of birds and other animals. I do recommend safari with this host, great value for a really good price.
- Nelson (10/5): Lovely stay - We loved our stay here in the Elephant Safari lodge. Since we arrived the owner made us feel like home. He organized an amazing safari tour for us. Breakfast was very good. I recommend 100% to stay here.
- Connor (9/5): Superb - This is an amazing room for the price you pay. It is clean, spacious and comfortable and there is a lovely space to relax outside the front of the room with a hammock. The family is so lovely, friendly and welcoming and they have a young son who is so sweet and playful. They did a nice breakfast everyday. We did the safari through them and it was an amazing experience. We saw lots of elephants and other animals and had a great experience. The only negatives were that on the booking it said it had AC and WiFi and there was no WiFi or AC, Having said that he provided us with a SIM card that worked somewhat.
- Athula (8/5): Very good -
- Doğanay (8/5): Very good -
- Micha-p (10/5): Exceptional - Good place to stay. Fulfilled all my needs for a one night stay.
- Lucie (10/5): Owner was very kind and helpful. Great location, nice garden and tasty breakfast. -
- Nance (8/5): Very good - I only stayed to take a shower and take the train in the evening. The gentleman was very friendly and the room had an outdoor seating area.
- Sara (8/5): Fine but correct - The owner was very kind and helpful. Energetic breakfast incluided, comfort and suitable room.
- Martina (8/5): - For the price the stay was ok. Rooms are small and nothing special and the surroundings has nothing special but it is a good start for many trips. Owner can provide food and transport to trips, which is convenient but may be overpriced, especially alcohol. Wifi was working properly.
- Mike (10/5): Pleasant guest house in an excellent location - I spent four nights at the Lake Breeze during which time I was able to visit Polonnaruwa, Sigiriya, the cave temples in Dambulla and also a safai in the Minneriya National Park. Althought it's relatively easy to organise these visits independantly I decided to use transport provided by Lake Breeze. A little more expensive than sorting it all yourself but as I wasn't on a particularly tight budget I was happy with the arrangements.
