- Kristy (10/5): - a really great option if you're more on a budget. the room is great with comfortable beds and great shower pressure. there's a terrace upstairs which is great for watching the sunset over the port. I tried breakfast only one day and it tasted a little stale. the location is about a 15-20 minute walk uphill from the new port and mykonos town.

- Verified traveler (6/5): - There’s a difference between what it shows on the site and what we had. We were in an economic room with 2 twins bed and not a queen bed. The distance from the new port is 20 minutes. 15 euros for a direct transfer. There’s is no public transportation near the hotel. You have to walk 15 to 25 minutes to get to the Ktel bus.

- Roger (10/5): Great view, great location, great customer service - Great view, great location, great customer service! A quiet family owned hotel with a breathtaking view just a 10 minute walk from all the activity of town. There was always someone at the front desk and someone always answered the phone when I called. The hotel will pick you up or drop you off at the port for 15 Euro. They have a nice breakfast selection of croissants, muffins, yogurt, cereal, juices, breads, cheeses in a beautiful dining room and outside patio setting for I think 15 Euro. They don’t have lunch or dinner options which is okay because most folks would most likely eat lunch and dinner in town. All in all a great stay at the Spanelis hotel….

Cleanliness was very good, position close to town in walking distance … overall had an excellent stay.
- David (10/5): Good hotel with a view - This hotel is over 40 years old but seems much newer. The view of the ferry and cruise ship harbour is great. It is almost a km walk into "town" and seems further coming back (uphill).
- Marco (10/5): - El hotel es excelente opción para sólo llegar a dormir, tienen q tener en cuenta el tema de transportación, no hay uber y solo hay pocos ubers, puedes llegar caminando al centro, pero más lejos no, ya que son muchas subidas. (Costó por transporte hotel - aero 50 euros, costo hotel - club de playa 100 euros), pero el hotel es excelente opción para dormir. Helena es muy amable y te apoya en todo lo necesario.

- Annamaria (10/5): - Struttura molto ospitale, tenuta molto bene, bellissimo panorama sul mare, a soli 5 minuti in moto dal centro di Mykonos, la sig.ra Helen, la proprietaria, è meravigliosa e molto cordialie ed è circondata da un'ottimo staff.
- Gerhard (8/5): - Einfache, aber sehr nette Unterkunft, familiäres Ambiente, sehr nettes und hilfsbereites Personal. Mein Zimmer hatte einen sehr eingeschränkten Meerblick. Lage ca. 500 m vom alten Hafen entfernt, es geht bergauf. Der angebotene Transfer von/zum Flughafen bzw. zur Fähre ist mit 15 Euro für Mykonos–Verhältnisse günstig (einfache Fahrt). Ein großer Supermarkt ist auch fußläufig erreichbar. Ich war zufrieden und habe mich dort sehr wohl gefühlt.

A short walk on a quiet road brings you quickly to the heart of the Chora. Breakfast every morning is delicious, with a great variety. Madame Hélène Spanelis and the staff are exceptionally welcoming and make every effort to ensure their guests' stay is enjoyable. This includes offering a pick up and drop off service to the airport or port for a modest charge. Because of our arrival and departure times, we were particularly grateful to Madame Spanelis for giving us an early check-in and a late check-out. We can highly recommend Hotel Spanelis.

- Sarahi (8/5): Hotel bonito a 10 min del centro del pueblo - El hotel está situado cerca del puerto nuevo. No recomendaría irse caminando porque es de subida y sería caminar a lado de la carretera. El hotel ofrece recogida en el puerto por 10€ ida y vuelta por habitación. No obstante, está mal estipulado en su página web, ya que nos cobraron10€ ida y 10€ vuelta (total 20€) El hotel es muy limpio y la terraza tiene vistas súper bellas de la isla. El mismo hotel tiene contacto con la agencia de alquiler de motos, por lo que es muy practico porque te dejan y devuelves la moto ahí mismo por un precio de 19€/día.
- john (10/5): Spanelis - We left it late to book and found prices in Mykonos unbelievably high.Git thus at a relatively reasonable rate so we weren’t expecting much however family room suited us just fine and wonderful sea view and of the cruise ships and ferry traffic in the new port ,particularly great for sunset .Bit of an uphill return from the charming Old Port/Hora town .Best thing was the extremely nice and kind owner and staff who went out of their way to help us with Covid Test .

In case of need, the hotel also offers a parking on its structure. The staff was extremely kind and the service was impecable. The sunset view on the terraza is definetely unique. - Caitlin (8/5): Friendly and helpful hosts! - We stayed at Spanelis for 3 nights whilst passing through Mykonos. The hotel is clean and in good condition and the owners and the rest of the staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful, arranging transfers and bike rentals as well as assisting my friends who needed a room last minute due to a mix up. Location is within 15 mins walk from Mykonos Town and the restaurants and bars there, the walk home is slightly steep but the road is good and quiet. Rooms a nice, if slightly small, and the balcony was lovely with views over the Agean.

- John (8/5): Value for money and a great location. - My partner and I stayed at Spaelis Hotel after our ferry was cancelled. We booked online through hotels.com and arrived there about half an hour later, The staff were friendly accomodating and spoke good English. Free car parking and wi-fi are also available, and having to reorganise our travel plans this was greatly appreciated. The locaction is great especially if you are only going to spend a couple of days and don’t want to hire a car. It is close to the port and within easy walking distance from the tow centre. The rooms are a little small, a little run down but for the price it’s great value for money and the rooms all have balcony’s with ocean views. As a three star hotel I woul rate it 5 stars. Finally I did also notice a sign saying that it is a gay friendly establishment. I would definitely stay here again: value, location, friendly staff, and breakfast is available.

- Craig (8/5): Nice location, quiet with great sea views - We had a lovely stay at Spanelis. We were collected by the owner Helen from the airport which started a smooth and fuss free checkin. We chose a room that had a balcony view to the sea and were rewarded with panoramic views of the ocean and brilliant sunsets. The nice thing was that the hotel was so quiet even though it was full. It's not cheap and breakfast would have been extra if we wanted it, but that seems to be the norm in Mykonos so all in all it was ok value. Took about 10 mins to walk to the old port which was fine for us. Drop off at the airport was also great.

- Verified traveler (8/5): - Owner lovely and helpful. while it is close to town it is up a steep hill and has many steps to reception. however you can take a taxi to the back entrance at the top of hill which makes life much easier if you are disabled like me. Lovely looking right onto the ocean.Clean rooms. Lovely breakfast included. So much more relaxing after the hectic pace of Athens. Staff pleasant and helpful. Enjoyed my stay very much.

Helene was also so kind and helpful - she helped us rent an ATV and even dropped us to the port to catch a ferry. We had a great stay here and would definitely recommend it!
- Peter (8/5): Out of town, but near enough to Mykonos town centr - We only came to Mykonos as an enabler to move on to other islands, but Helene makes your stay here feeling like you want to stay there. Both Helene and her husband are charming - so please chat to them about the island and they can recommend where to go, help with an itinerary etc etc with much aplomb! Rooms are simple, but clean and present good value compared to others on the island.

- Marina (8/5): Scenic Location but 20 minute walk to Mykonos Town - We were picked up by Helen's son who was extremely sweet and helpful. Helen gave us maps and helped us with information to get around town. Be ready to walk about 20-25 minutes to get to the Mykonos town. Its a 10 minute walk from the bus stop but the bus does arrive every 30 minutes. The bus will take you to the bus terminal and then its another 5 minute walk to the town center. We didn't mind the walking but it is something we would have changed if we had to re-do the trip (i.e. find a closer hotel). The breakfast was amazing and the lady helping us with breakfast was the sweetest. Helen's son dropped us off at the airport as well at a reasonable price.
