Some staff were very direct while others were only to happy to help - Location was good, as was breakfast The rooms were way too hot and one of the towel racks wouldn’t turn off. we were told to just “open a window” to resolve the issue. In the end we had to leave an outside door wide open all night to try and make the room acceptable to sleep. There was an issue with how many people were eligible for breakfast. We had to pay extra for 2 people despite the booking clearly stating 4 people. The hotel didn't want to know about it and told us to sort out with booking.com

• Jeannette (5/5): Preis-Leistung stimmt nicht - Es war sauber und sehr zentral gelegen. Unser Zimmer war alt, die Einrichtung entspricht nicht den präsentierten Fotos. Von der Decke kommt der ganze Belag herunter. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt nicht. Es ist auch sehr ringhörig.
• Urs (9/5): Wir kommen immer wieder gern nach Zermatt. - Die zentrale Lage finden wir gut. Die Zimmer entsprachen unseren Erwartungen. Für uns war das Continental ideal! Für noch ältere Personen dürfte das Duschen wegen dem hohen Einstieg in die Badewanne ein Problem darstellen.

Wifi was very good Breakfast is continental but very good. There is no hot foods ie bacon, eggs etc. Has a large safe Large private balcony Elevator (which is not always the case in Europe) Cons Rooms are not very big (common in Europe) Beds are rock hard. My back was killing me by the end of our stay) Pillows very flimsy Lock is opened and locked by a key (outside and INSIDE the room) You get only one key meaning if the room mates separate during the day you need to get together since only one of you will have a key, No bar fridge in every room. It is obviously a ski hotel, rug was grey, not sure if it was or from years of dirt.

• Aviya (7/5): נחמד מינוס - מיקום . בחדר הרחצה יש אמבטיה במקום עמוד מקלחת (דוש). לאנשים לא מבוגרים זה מקשה להיכנס לאמבטיה להתרחץ בדוש, כך גם היציאה ממנה . מעבר צר בין הכיור והאמבטיה לקיר . בארוחת הבוקר חסר האוכל הים תיכוני : ירקות נחמדגבינות וכו

• Shmu (8/5): Not bad - Great location. Decent amenities. Decently sized rooms. Good for short stays. The shower gel dispenser was completely empty. No way to regulate room temp since it was too hot to have the radiator on. Pillows weren’t great. Ask for extras. No slippers, brushes/toothpaste extra amenities or a list to order off of No staff at the hotel itself. Have to go or call simi across from continental for everything.

• Olivia (10/5): Good stay. - Walking distance from Zermatt train & Gornegrat railway stations, shops for personal needs (shampoo, toothpaste etc), souvenirs, & groceries (fruits, water etc). Our room has a good view of Matterhorn. 5-6steps to the main floor where elevator is. Consider this if your luggages are heavy.

• briankI9915YC (10/5): Nice hotel, great location! - Perfect location in downtown Zermatt. 5 minute walk to the train station. Our room was in the back with a private terrace and a mountain view (not of the Matterhorn). Breakfast was included when we stayed. Clean rooms, great service. We found the WiFi to be a bit weak where our room was, other than that great stay.

• Chaoyuan (4/5): - The hotel is centrally located in the town, quiet and convenient. However, we don't like this hotel at all. There was no reception desk in the hotel, and we were instructed to go to another hotel for check-in. The beds in the room were terrible, which was only 1 foot above the ground. Other furniture was so old and in poor condition. The sofa looked like the one from garage sale. In addition, the breakfast was not good. So we won't use it again if we come visit Zermatt in the future.
• B (5/5): A return stay after years away. - The hotel is tucked away on a small side street in the center of town. The locations is good, if a little hard to find. The hotel is quite plain, the room was small but satisfactory, without a view. Zermatt is quite overdeveloped, and the hotel reflects that. It reflects the lost charm the town had years ago. Check-in is at a different location, nearby but awkward. Steps into the building make managing luggage awkward. Lobby space is very limited and not particularly welcoming or useful. There is no restaurant or cafe, although several are located nearby, but without early morning hours, so getting coffee or breakfast is a challenge.

• unamcm2021 (8/5): Hotel is good for a short stay - hotel is adequate for a one or two night stay. Reception not staffed so you have to go to a nearby hotel to check-in/check-out. Breakfast is a buffet with the only hot option of 'boil your own eggs'. Room was adequate - a little small but ok for a short stay.

They were nothing a like, 1 reasonable size the other, absolutely no where to put lugggage, had to put on the floor in front of the door, so couldn’t go out without putting suitcase on the bed. Bathroom so old!!! Shower over a very deep bath. Definitely not recommend

• Hanako (10/5): Dreamy stay - チェックイン予定時間前についたがすぐにチェックインできた！お部屋はこぢんまりとした温かみのある部屋で、とても居心地が良かった！バルコニーからは山が眺められ、良かった！ ベットからも外が眺められ良かった！ ホテルの立地は、駅にも近く中心街でものすごく好立地であった！ ベランダの扉が閉まらなかった。 ただ、害虫もおらず、涼しくい気持ちよい風が吹き込んできて問題はなかった。

• Liliane (3/5): Zermatt ist für uns immer schön - Die Lage ist war sehr gut, zentral gelegen (Leider war unser Hotel ausgebucht so mussten wir ein anders entscheiden). Sind zufällig dann auf das Hotel Continental gestossen, ist sehr Zentral. Auf den Bilder sah es noch recht gut aus. Die Aussicht war gut aber dann war es leider nicht so (hatten ein Delux Zimmer gebucht war es aber nicht). Wenn man im Zimmer herum läuft knackt der Boden extrem laut trotzt Teppiche. Man erwacht in der Nacht mehrmals. Auch von den anderen Zimmern war es sehr laut. Wollten einen Kaffee trinken im Zimmer aber der Kaffeerahm war schon abgelaufen (01.07.2025🙁) schade. Die Badewanne-Dusche (ist zu hoch zum einsteigen) ist nichts für alte Leute. Balkon sehr klein nicht gemütlich. Auch der kleine Tisch mit 2 Stühlen im Zimmer war nicht einladend. (Tisch war nicht stabil). Wenn man etwas braucht musste man zu Hotel Simi nachfragen. Noch etwas persönliches meine Schwiegertochter wollte mir zum Geburtstag eine Überraschung mchem (mit einem Blumenstrauss) hat aber leider nicht geklappt, die Antwort war machen wir nicht. Bei der Abreise hat man uns nicht gefragt ob alles geklappt hat und ob alles in Ordnung war, (die Dame war am Telefon😒) nahm nur den Schlüssel das wars. Sonst hätten wir es vor Ort schon gesagt. Sonst gefällt uns Zermatt immer sehr gut. Gehen wieder aber nicht in dieses Hotel.

• Najla Aleisa (10/5): Conveniently located and comfortable for a short rest during our day in Zermatt. - We booked the hotel for one night but only stayed for a couple of hours, as we mainly needed a place to rest and freshen up while exploring Zermatt. The location was very convenient and the room was clean and comfortable for our short stay. Staff were polite and check-in at the nearby Simi Hotel was smooth. Nothing
• Marian (10/5): - Great budget hotel just off the center of Zermatt. We had a nice (albeit tight) balcony with a glimpse of The Matterhorn. The room was clean but unfortunately no air conditioning and it was quite warm in the room. There’s a refrigerator which was very convenient. Stepping into the shower isn’t designed for short people which was a bit awkward. We had to check in at another hotel, but it was only steps away. Would stay here again for convenience and cleanliness.

Un bon point pour le petit déjeuner qui est très bien servi et réassorti jusqu'à l'heure limite de service. Vu les activités extérieures accessibles, une machine pour brosser les chaussures de marche serait la bienvenue.

Good value given the price is relatively affordable compared to other hotels in Zermatt (I booked it with a quite affordable price). The room is clean. Washroom is relatively small but acceptable.
