Guest Reviews
- sindelar.jindrich (10/5): - The hosts were very friendly and helpful—it’s clear they put their hearts into this place. Our room was cosy, stylish, and spotlessly clean! :)
- K.Georgieva (10/5): - Peter and Sherry are absolutely wonderful hosts, providing exceptional hospitality, very supportive, offering great information and recommendations for local restaurants and sights. Last but not least, it was a pleasure and surprise to meet hosts with whom we could communicate in English during our trip to Andalusia.
- Ádám (10/5): - Az egyik legjobb szállás, ahol valaha voltunk, de biztosan, hogy a legkedvesebb, legjófejebb szállásadók. Segítőkészek, viccesek, figyelmesek, érdeklődők; csak szuperlatívuszokban tudok róluk beszélni. A szállás gyönyörű, fantasztikus ízlessel kialakított és berendezett.
- Lucjan (10/5): - A stay at No 31 Bed & Breakfast in Olvera is an absolutely exceptional experience. This place fits perfectly into the character of the town – without artificial luxury or excess, but with great sensitivity and harmony. The hosts, Peter and Sherri, welcome guests like friends they have genuinely been looking forward to. From the very first moment, you can feel that they truly care about your comfort and well-being. It is the essence of genuine hospitality. It is also a place for those who appreciate peace, quiet, and authenticity. Olvera is not a loud tourist resort, and that is exactly its strength. No 31 Bed & Breakfast reflects this character perfectly. It is a space for those who understand that being a tourist also means respecting the place, its rhythm, and its harmony. The property forms a cohesive whole with the town and blends into it naturally. This is a boutique experience in the best sense of the word – intimate, almost private. Often, you are one of only a few guests, which creates a sense of exclusivity and makes you feel truly privileged to have found this place. For those who usually choose high-standard hotels and are hesitant about guesthouses, this place may be a very pleasant surprise. The level of care and attention from the hosts matches that of the best hotels. They gladly share recommendations, suggesting where to eat and what to see, always in a natural and unobtrusive way. The property itself is refined in every detail – clean, stylish, and very comfortable. An additional highlight is the terrace – in the evening, you can sit there with a glass of local wine and admire the illuminated church and the starry sky. The breakfasts truly allow you to experience Andalusia through the taste of fresh oranges, local cheese, and olive oil, all served with attention to detail and quality.
- Catherine (10/5): - Peter and Sherri were wonderful hosts who provided great information and excellent restaurant recommendations. The breakfast was lovely, the room was very comfortable and quiet, and parking was conveniently located nearby.

Intet

- Renzo M (9/5): Great place to stay in Olvera - We had a warm welcome by the hosts, Sherri and Peter who were wonderfully hospitable throughout our stay. The location is great as it is located in the heart of the historical center and just a few hundred meters from the castle and the Iglesia Mayor. Parking is available nearby although we opted to park at the entrance of the town to avoid the steep roads. The information sent to us prior to arrival was very helpful indeed as some roads in the regions have been affected by the rain in recent months. We would highly recommend it for a stay in Olvera.
- Laura (10/5): - Los anfitriones son muy amables, te reciben y explican todo. Todas las instalaciones están cuidadas, limpias y decoradas con gusto. Nos encantó.

- Ursula (10/5): - We can’t thank Peter and Sherri enough for their warm welcome, kindness, and all their thoughtful advice and explanations. We had an amazing stay! The place, the location, the room, and the beautiful terrace with its stunning view — everything was wonderful. We highly recommend No. 31 Bed and Breakfast in this charming little town full of white houses and character, not to mention the castle overlooking the city.
- Christine (10/5): - Peter and Sherry were amazing hosts. We connected very well with them as we had lots in common as Canadians. We very much enjoyed our time there. Gave us lots of recommendations for restaurants and sights. The room was amazing and breakfast was so good. Local products and a beautiful room to have it in. Absolutely nothing.
- Natasha (9/5): - We loved the room, with the chairs looking out the double doors. The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful.

- Prasant (9/5): Excellent find in Olvera! You’d be hard pressed to find better. - This is a lovely, unexpected find ( the Olvera AirBnBs we saw online were quite gloomy.) We stayed in the room with a balcony overlooking the street. The room is actually nicer than perhaps the photographs display. The location is excellent. You walk up the street and within two blocks you hit the two most important tourist spots, which are the cathedral and the castle. Excellent views from both. There are several restaurants within walking distance. Olvera, the town is less trafficked than other White Villages. Visit before that changes. This is a charming town that you might pair for a visit with Zahara de las Sierras if you like quiet unhurried places. Owners are lovely, communicative people, with lots of recommendations. The room feels modern and well appointed. The bathroom is spotless and I think newly renovated. Nice breakfast as well—simple but filling and includes fresh OJ. Access to charming roof terrace with views of the cathedral and castle. I would happily stay here again. The owners have done a great job! Not the fault of the owners. The one thing I noticed is that since you’re right on the street with the balcony overlooking, and there’s not a lot of ambient noise because the town is very quiet, the sounds off the street feel like they magnify. So people walking by talking sound like they’re shouting, and even cars and motorcycles seem quite loud. It didn’t happen often because it is a quiet street and not a main street, but it was noticeable when it did. It also felt like some bells went off every half hour or so, but I couldn’t tell where they were from. If you’re maybe be a little sensitive noise, you might pick the interior unit for that reason.
- Jan (10/5): Perfect B&B in Olvera - The communication from the owners was excellent..Great directions for arriving in town and everything you could need in the room. The house is full of character and has its own roof terrace. Nothing!
- Harry (10/5): Exceptional - Sherri and Peter were fantastic hosts. They have a beautiful b&b and all the information for whatever you want to do at their fingertips.
And Olvera is a beautiful place to visit. Be aware that if you are riding a large motorcycle or are not confident in driving, the hills are very steep. Talk to your host before, but there is plenty of flat parking on the right side of the village near the castle
- Kitti (10/5): Exceptional - It was absolutely clean and comfort. The housekeepers were extremely kind. Everything is close to reach on foot, so it is the best choice if you would like to stay in Olvera.
- Mikhail (10/5): Peter and Sherri offer a rare home-like feel in their cosy B&B in a beautiful pueblo blanco -
- Joseph (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent hosts in a beautiful white town, close to main attractions of the Iglesia Mayor, the Moorish castle and great views of the surrounding areas and the town itself. Parking is an issue, since there is very little available on the steep and narrow streets nearby, unless you walk down to the free public parking in a lower part of town, where you should plan to park in advance.
- Lee-ann (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (10/5): Comfortable stay with friendly hosts in characterful property in the middle of a "Pueblo Blanco" - Peter & Sherri are super-helpful and welcoming hosts, and Number 31 is a characterful and well-appointed, sympathetically restored property within a short (if steep!) walk of Olvera's main sights and restaurants. The roof terrace is a great place for relaxing whilst enjoying views of the Castle over the rooftops.
There's easy road access to/from Seville, Ronda, Antequera and Malaga, as well as other nearby Pueblos Blancos such as Setenil de las Bodegas, Zahara de la Sierra, Grazalema, and to the Sierra de Grazalema and the Via Verde de la Sierra cycleway. NOT a negative, but as information for fellow travellers..... we booked knowing that there's limited (free) on-road parking close to Number 31 (but you might find a space, as we did on our first night, and it's quite ok to stop outside Number 31 to drop / collect bags if need be).
If you don't find a space right by Number 31 then there's plenty of free parking within 7 to 15 minutes walk (although anyone with mobility issues should be aware that there's not much level walking in central Olvera!).
We hope this doesn't deter you - it didn't us, and we really enjoyed our stay. Recommended!
- Ivette (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karl (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gabriele (10/5): The place you want to visit in Olvera! - Olvera is a magical place, and this wonderful B&B is just as beautiful as the city. The owners ar very nice and the place is cozy and warm as a private house (as in fact is).
Breakfast is simple but very good, there is an incredible rooftop with chairs and beds with an amazing view of the landscape and the old town.
Room is big, clean and well equipped with everything you need. nothing at all!
- Ole (10/5): Would highly recommend to everyone I know! - Beautiful location and lovely hosts.
Wonderful beds and view Nothing
- Carmel (10/5): Beautiful comfortable home away from home in a fantastic town. - No 31 was one of the best places we’ve stayed on our Spanish travels. The property was very very comfortable ( bed and shower and lounge chairs in the room) and full of beautiful art and furniture. The location was second to none and we were able to enjoy beautiful Olvera with ease. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious including some local olive oil which was to die for! We loved so many little features that were unique - even the provision of a power plug conveyor with USB and wine & beer. Parking was nearby and fine in the street though do bring your small Peter & Sherri were beyond nice and super informative on things to do. Loved the property. We were in Olvera on a Monday night and dinner options were extremely limited.
- Justin (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic stay with Peter and Sherri! Nice amenities and close to some great Spanish bars and restaurants in town! Breakfast also great!
Would recommend.
- Robin (10/5): Love the village, loved no 31, just a great stay. - Peter & Sherri were the perfect hosts, welcoming when we arrived with just enough info to enable to enjoy everything about No 31, they pointed out some excellent restaurants and we chose the tapas right by the church, the wine, food and sunset were out of this world. Push yourself to climb to the top of the castle the views were immense and all for €2. What a beautiful village, a great B&B, breakfast super and all for a few € . A must see / must stay destination.
- Niamh (9/5): Superb - Perfect location with super friendly hosts! Would highly recommend.
- Benjamin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Steve (10/5): Nice stay in a wonderful B&B. Our only regret is that it wasn’t longer - We loved everything about No 31. The rooms, the breakfast, the location, and the interior design. But especially the hosts Sherri and Peter. Nothing
- Carlos (10/5): Great Stay!! - The location is great right at the heart of the historic center and very close to main attractions.
We really enjoyed meeting Peter and Sherry.
They are great people and provided guidance all the time.
We highly recommend it!!
- Pete (10/5): Exceptional stay - Peter and Sherri are absolutely wonderful hosts. They provided really helpful details about the town and their B&B (for example, it was so nice to be shown how the front door lock worked so we didn't worry about how to open it when returning late at night) and also where to eat and drink (their recommendations were excellent). The breakfast was delicious, with local olive oil and bread. They went out of their way to source gluten free bread for my Coeliac Disease. The room was very comfortable and exceptionally clean. No dust or dirt on my socks after walking around the property, it is spotless and extremely fresh. We will definitely be back!
- Shelley (10/5): Deep Breaths + Random Bells = Slow Time - Absolutely everything — top to bottom — of our time spent here. Lovely room with a cosy sitting area, well-designed bathroom (efficient & user-friendly), beautiful breakfasts with one of the most elegant service routines I’ve ever experienced, and an additional common area on main floor of the home.
The robust and vigorous street parking options.
Our hosts provided us with a comprehensive overview of everything we might need. Additionally, Peter & Sherri surprised us with a delicious tray of savoury nibbles that they left outside our room on our last night as we were weighing the options of venturing out into a heavy downpour in search of dinner. It’s those little gestures that you take with you — but completely consistent with the flavour and inclusive tone of our time in Olvera @ No. 31. The church bells ringing nine times when it was still only eight o’clock in the morning!
And I am writing this with a smile and fond (albeit marginally confused) memories.
- Samyukta (10/5): Exceptional - Breakfast was delicious.
- Brian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Willems (8/5): Very good - Very comfortable and nicely designed B&B. Room and bathroom very modern. Rooftop terrace with nice view over authentic pueblo blanca Olvera. Complementary tea/coffee facilities. Wine, beer, snacks at honest price. Warm welcome by the hosts with tips for visiting Olvera and surroundings. We enjoyed a day on the via verde (cycle path) which starts at Olvera. Nothing really.
- Gerard (8/5): Very good -
- Rubin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Braddock (10/5): Charming B&B in beautiful white village with view of castle - Property was in a perfect location and had everything we needed for an easy relaxing stay. Peter and Sharri explained everything we need to know about the town. They also made sure we knew where everything was in the B&B. They were always available and super helpful. my wife and I had an amazing stay and would definitely recommend their property to others. There was nothing that we didn’t like.
- Jan (10/5): Exceptional - The decoration, the breakfast, the friendliness of the owners.... We highly appreciated the map with restaurant and bar recommandations they prepared.
- Nancy (10/5): Exceptional - The rooms are quiet, comfortable and clean. Peter and Sherri are lovely and can't do enough to help make your stay enjoyable. The roof deck and honor bar are really nice touches. We didn't mind the location, but some people may find the steep, narrow street a bit daunting. An adventurous spirit and reasonable level of fitness would help!
- Kate (9/5): Superb - Beautiful room in a lovely house. Friendly and welcoming hosts, and a fantastic breakfast to top it all off.
- Enrique (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vedran (10/5): What a B&B should be - Very welcoming hosts Peter and Sherry, stylishly decorated and spacious room with a view, very nice breakfast, good location in a central but very quiet street, we found a free parking spot right in front of the house. Nothing, just that the parking is public parking in the street, but it is free and there were quite a few empty spaces close by, so not really a problem.
- Monica (10/5): Wonderful gem in Cadiz region - There is nothing we could ask for that could have made our stay better. Our hosts are the most welcoming hosts I think we’ve ever had, the room was spacious, cozy and well equipped, the roof terrace was a great plus with view of the church and castle and the breakfast was quaint and made us feel right at home. If we find ourselves in this part of Spain again, we will definitely be back!
Olvera and surroundings has a lot to offer if your into hiking, cycling and great views.
