- Daniel (2/5): - Faster response
- waleeda281 (2/5): The worst hotel i ever stayed, Bad experience - The hotel is so dirty , the room isn’t clean at all water leaking in the washroom also the washroom was too small , no parking in the hotel i kept rounding for 45 Minutes to find a parking near to the hotel I couldn’t find , i booked other room for my sister her room was dirty the smoking smell was too bad and can’t handle my sister having allergy and was coughing all the time after a fight with them they changed her room at 1:00 AM , also the water kettles was dirty and rusted inside am not recommending this hotel at all , i had a bad experience in this hotel
- SAM (6/5): - Staff was very polite and courteous. This hotel needs improvement and upgrade. Old and broken furniture, bathroom drains were clogged, hard mattresses, and No free car parking facility. Breakfast should be free and a part of the stay package. Somehow the location was a good and very busy street with a lot of food restaurants and convenient stores within walking distance.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Old furniture
- FAKHRELDIN (6/5): - Old furniture
- KEINOSUKE (4/5): - There weren't even any towels in the room
- 344kamranr (10/5): Excellent - The room was clean! Carpets were clean, the bathroom was cleaned properly. There was many towel
We were so tired, and thankfully, the bed was clean and quite comfortable, we just went to bed.
The bathroom clean and new style doors that are in good shape.
you can see that they are good maintaining the Hotel very well.
Now I should explain that we have travelled extensively, and have stayed in new Hotels before, however, they were always extremely clean and obviously better maintained than this Hotel.
The staff were very nice. That's about the positive thing I can say about the place, other than it's in a good spot, only a 20min walk to the Gold and Spice Souks. In the old part of town.
- Rebecca (2/5): - Never stayed ... but I'm sure the hackers appreciated your lack of security and fraud.
- Paul (2/5): - Hotel is very old. Bath room are very dirty
- Maggie_VCG (4/5): Everything is not as it seems - We arrived at the Hotel at Midnight (as conveyed to the Hotel) and our room was not ready. We waited over an hour (We believe they may have given our room away and were now trying to get something ready for us).
The room was not clean! Carpets were dirty, the bathroom was not cleaned properly. There was only one towel (no floor mat & no hand towel).
We were so tired, and thankfully, the bed was clean and quite comfortable, we just went to bed.
In the morning they brought us another 1 towel, after we told them there was only the 1 towel in our room. They made a poor attempt at cleaning the bathroom and left.
The bathroom had mould, grout falling out, dirty floors, old doors that are not in good shape.
The foyer has been spruced up a little, but at closer look you can see that they are not maintaining the Hotel very well.

I would not recommend staying here if cleanliness is a priority for you.

- Mazhar (6/5): - Not good service
A- Not good cleaness
B- Toilet & Bath Room no service provide during stay
C-No changes of bed sheet during stay.
D- You need to call reception for essential service but they did not provide routine room service daily .
- talatalizafartaz (2/5): Highly Disappointed - What ever you can expect as basic availability in hotel you will ne informed its subject to availability.
No towels
No tissue
No working refrigerator
No iron
Broken bath room (but it was clean )
Un changed bed sheets
- sushantpatil07 (8/5): Good stay - Good room. Housekeeping service was good. Reception staff was helpful. The only problem was very far from metro station. The hotel should arrange for pickup and drop at airport or from metro station. Enjoyed my stay.
- Dino (2/5): - The cleaning service left my room open for long time when I came back I found my room open
Also I asked for two beds and they gave me one queuen size bed
Left two days early and paid for all 6 days
- mones75 (2/5): Al Fareej Hotel , now called Royal Tulip - Al Fareej Hotel , now called Royal Tulip , the Hotel went into recent renovation, they don’t have parking though it is shown on their website , the room is spacious and upper floor , 4th floor rooms are quite , had very bad experience, not allowing my girlfriend to check in with me , coz she didn’t show original of her passport, though scan of passport was available with us ,
- Haytham Ebrahim (6/5): - Great location , old amenities, not very friendly staff , very lively location , metro and bus nearby
- Haytham Ebrahim (6/5): - Location is in the heart and lively , near to bus station of naif intersection , walking 15 mins to banyas metro station , air conditioning good but very noisy , they clean room every two days which is not good , tv ok , refrigerator okay , old amenities, safe in the room , escalator is good , staff is okay but not very helpful , during check in they give me only one card inspite we are two and the check in guy give another card after while , overall , not bad
- Jafar (2/5): Don't book - Never ever book that hotel very bad attitude of staff
We book hotel but we reach there they we don't ricive your booking
- 313jabirh (2/5): Do not go to this hotel - Visit Dubai and wanted a reasonable priced hotel. The photos on booking.com is nothing like what the actual hotel like. 100 times worse. Non existing cleaniness, service rubbish, location in a alley way which know one can find. Took full payment and soon we arrived. Pillows were disgusting. Carpets were filthy, showers unhygienic, electricity kept going off. Not prepared to help in any way. Do Not go there.
- b_shamshulh2020 (2/5): worst hotel - very poor hotel, rooms are dirty, room service very and beds are full of bugs. you cant sleep whole night. dont stay. area far from dubai sights and surrounding market is very ordinary. in this price, you deserve much better.
- elbymanuel (2/5): Worst hotel ever stayed - I stayed in this hotel recently during my trip to Dubai for 5 days, thought the facilities will be good. But when i reached the hotel from starting itself things were not fine.
Check in took too much time. Reception staffs are not pleasant and welcoming.
I went to Dubai during the peak time, took deluxe here, thought it will be spacious and good looking. Given double the rate than normal tariff. But Room was small and not good. Booked for king size bed, but it was smaller than that, adjusted with my family. Small bathroom. not fully clean. glass cabin for bathing is very small. washbasin was block. The worst part was water is coming very less only. Not able to even wash our mouth properly. Another drawback was that they only give mineral water during the first day of stay as complementary. Next day onwards its chargeable. Giving double the rate and not even supplying a small bottle of drinking water costing just AED 1 looks pathetic.
Another issue was with hot water. The issue was noticed in the evening. When complained they said maintenance team was not there in the evening. Will come only in the morning.
The hotel is situated in the middle of a street with lots of small shops. All metro stations are far from hotel. Minimum 15mins walk.
The only advantage was that if we want to buy something we will get that from the shops nearby. other than that nothing good to be mentioned here. Not even a good scenery, when we look out from our window.
The hotel security Mr.Mohammed is an helpful guy, who helped us in getting taxi and shifting our luggage. No other staffs will show an helpful hand.
Altogether our stay in Al Farej hotel was unpleasant. I will never stay in this hotel anymore. Loss of money.
- olga celeste (10/5): - Muy bien todo
- rahul7sm (2/5): Worst hotel ever - My first word to anyone would be don't ever visit this hotel. I visited this hotel with my wife and a kid as my brother had booked this hotel. The location is not safe at all we saw street side quarrels happen twice in our 4 days stay & u will find escorts & call girls contact no. Posters pasted every where in the vicinity of the hotel. Also it is far from all the attractions in Dubai hence u will end up wasting a lot of our money for taxis. Rooms were dirty, towels were not changed for 3 days even after my complaint, our bathroom handle was broken & I asked them to fix it but till the 4th day it was not done. Carpets are old dirty & stinking. The funny thing is the price they charge at this same price I booked a lavish 5 star hotel in prominent area of Dubai for my later part of stay. Brake fast is poor as they had hardly 4 to 5 items in the menu.
Overall I don't feel the area is suitable for a family, nothing great in the hotel & overpriced for the wat u get. Only good thing was there's a very good restaurant right in front of the hotel which serves one of the best biryani I've ever had.
- rohit1989aggarwal (2/5): Worst Hotel - Worst Hotel for Family and Couple, rooms are too smelly and small, bathrooms are too small that you won't be able to sit and take bath.
The area is too crowded with only bachelors around.
I'll suggest booking a hotel in Bur Dubai instead of Diera if you are traveling with family or couple.
- Szabo_Andras (8/5): Good choice for a reasonable price - The late night check-in was no problem. The prepayment by card went well. The room was clean and comfortable. Some middle-sized shops and restaurants/cafés are nearby. The WiFi worked fine.
Due to the lack of the exact address on booking.com it was somewhat challenging for the taxi driver to find the hotel - but this minor mistake can be corrected easily.
- NuwaidKhan (2/5): Can’t imagine worst - I booked a room via booking.com upon arrival they told me that they don’t have my reservation - after a while they found my reservation which was a non refundable reservation and had already charged my credit card and said that we haven’t collected any money yet and I need to pay again . I asked for duty manager or any manager available they said everyone left . I was strangled at the reception and receptionist Deborah and her reservations department on phone just kept laughing over . Even after that I thought to give them a chance and asked for credit card authorisation form to which reservation manager responded that it’s nit applicable on last moment booking . What a worst experience and worst customer service . Nothing can be more ridiculous . This place really sucks for customer service .
- 650sharonb (10/5): Good value in a great location! - A great location in the heart of Deira neighbourhood. Easy access to the metro with lots of small restaurants in the neighbourhood. Clean rooms with a good breakfast and incredibly helpful staff who went above and beyond to make our stay so very enjoyable.
- RAGHAV (10/5): - HOTEL IS GOOD AND VERY NEAR TO BAZZAR AND AIRPORT, EASILY ACCESSIBLE
- MEHMET (8/5): - otel personeli nazik ve güleryüzlü personel temizlik konusunda çok titiz kahvaltı fena degil tek sıkıntı otelin bulunduğu semt gece bayan arkadaşınızla dışarı çıkarsanız etraftakikerin tacizkar ve rahatsiz edici bakislarina maruz kalabilirsiniz.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Decent Hotel. Air conditioning is very loud in the room though.
- Mo (4/5): - Super friendly and helpful staff! Rooms smell terrible, I don't know why they don't just put air fresheners in there. I had to switch rooms and had to get the room hosed down in air freshener to make it bearable. As I was packing to leave there was some sort of bug on my jacket, not sure if it was bed bug but I was leaving so I didn't really care.
- Muhammad (6/5): - Just Ok
- aslam (10/5): - staff are all nice and accomodating excellent.breakfast is delicious a lot of choices .a lot of restaurant near the hotel
- MiMalik (10/5): What a nice hotel with wonderful and most accommodating staff! - I'm lucky enough to have found this nice and clean hotel in the heart of city centre (near Deira). I am a frequent traveler to Dubai and stayed at few hotels before, but Al Farej is the best value for your money as it is surrounded by good restaurants, cafes and local markets (Souqs). It's only 15 minutes away from the DXB International Airport, and the nearby Metro Station is around 500-600 metres away.
The rooms are of decent sizes and pretty much soundproof. I stay at Al Farej whenever I'm in Dubai (so far 5 times), and never experienced any problem or discomfort.
It also has most friendly staff and exceptionally professional management team consisting of Miss Aurea and Mr Yousuf who always make sure the customers are having a pleasant stay at Al Farej.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Veldig bra hotel😁
- lucamV4953DX (6/5): Acceptable for a short stay - As in many hotels in Dubai (even of superior level) there is often the problem of hot water that doesn't come neither warm and the noise of the air conditioning system that seems coming from the engine of a truck. Furnishings show evidences of damages from past visitors never fixed (cigarette burns, ruined furniture,...). Certainly, you must evaluate considering the duration of the stay and the consequent perception of various aspects that make the overall assessment and from this perspective, the district and the difficulties in reaching public transport, make you feel cut off from to the "real" Dubai every one of us imagine. In my opinion, being a European visitor, only the courtesy of the staff allows this hotel to be considered normal instead of hardly adequate
- Akinola (8/5): - We had a good time . The hotel environment is quiet but the water was too hot and there was no bar to relax. We are confined to our room.
- Gem (8/5): - The employee in charge of cleaning the room has a little bit problem of cleaning every day justifying he has been busy in cleaning other spaces all the day. Otherwise it a very good hotel to stay in again there.
All the reception desk, and security employees are very good in their service.
For other viewers the location of the hotel is a litter longer distance from the nearest Metro station, Banyias, thus be ready to walk about 15 minutes to reach there.
- ismailmansuri40 (10/5): I would like to rate this hotel a five star rating - Staff was very good n cooperative language was not a problem service was excellent rooms interior very nice
Bathroom fittings were very good
Each n everything was there in bathroom
Food was excellent
Entry gates were both sides of road
Each n every people in hotel staff was polite n kind and humble
Was feeling like home
And top thing this all the things what I have said above it was just bcoz of the hotel manager Yousuf khan
The management is really good and l would like to give one award to this hotel staff
AND THE BEST MAN AWARD GOES TO
MR YOUSUF KHAN
HOTEL MANAGER
- Jasmine156 (10/5): Excellent Customer service - My relatives were visiting from India and I booked the rooms for them. From the initial interaction I was happy that choose a place where people respect each other. They were very clear with all their communication. the room rates are very economical and the location of hotel is at prime, easily accessible to restaurants and souks.
- edavan (10/5): One of the best Hotels in Deira. Excellent!’ - Staff are courteous, friendly and willing to help anytime....quiet place and good for relaxing.....
It's my 11th visit, I loved the place, the staff are also amazing, would stay there again The TV channels. you should add more English channels
- Fowzi (10/5): - You will love this hotel for sure everything is excellent
- Simon (8/5): Decent business hotel - It was a decent stay. There was a light on all night in our room, and I couldn’t turn it off. Tried calling the reception four times with no answer. The room was otherwise clean and in fine condition.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Good service, good management, old hotel in bad area.
- György (8/5): Barátokkal, 17 fővel Dubajban. - A szálloda tiszta. Igényes. Kényelmes. Saját hűtővel. Privát fürdővel. Gyors bejelentkezés. A személyzet nagyon segítőkész. Ajánlom bárkinek.
- Azra (10/5): Would be happy to stay there again. - Every thing was fine. The only minus was the WiFi. Not very strong in the room.
- Grog (2/5): The WORST hotel EVER - Do not even think about staying here - even the 'Premier' room is disgusting.
- Iqbal (8/5): Nice hotel but no fruit :-( - Overall it was good, no fruit provided as I have seen in pictures, and receptionist promise to check and reply, but after staying 3 nights still no fruit, so it would be better if they can remove those pictures so it don’t give a wrong impression to customers
- Ada (10/5): Very nice hotel for always - I had a very pleasant stay in the hotel. Everyday in the hotel was very amazing. I walked to Sakba to shop and the street were the hotel is located is a busy street so it was easy to mix up and one did not need to worry about safety.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Etwas abseits des Zentrums in typischer Wohngegend.
- Azhar (8/5): okay for price - We stayed here for 12 nights and had a ok room although a little tight as the desk and chair were at the foot of the bed so we couldn't actually sit on the chair as it was a real squeeze. we also had the baby's cot in there so made it even less spacious. Staff were very friendly. The only member of staff not so friendly is woman who deals with reservation's on the phone I rang before arrival and she was very rude and unhelpful. Rooms could be cleaner the wardrobe doors were abit greasy shower tray was dirty. The location is tricky as taxi drivers don't know where it is even when u mention Al futtaim mosque. luckily my partner has a good memory.Hairdryer wasn't working and took 4 days to replace.
Nice crisp white bed linen and towels. rooms have a safe and iron which were useful.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The reason I'm giving this hotel a rating of one only is the hotel management .
I received an email less than 24 hrs before my check in asking me to call the hotel urgently [ Phone call not an email ! ] or else my booking will go . I was in a South east Asian country and about to board a flight . I spent a stressful time trying to contact the number they gave me [ It was an operator ] and the phone calls cost me 30-40 dollars . [ I was using UK number while calling Dubai from Vietnam ] After I finally managed to speak to someone from the hotel , they told me they don't know why I was asked to contact them or who asked me [ during the phone call , I received NO apology at all ] . When I checked in next day I asked for an explanation but I thought the hotel staff were defensive , casual and very unsympathetic . [ I still didn't I received any sort of apology at all ] . They asked me to forward the email to them and the hotel manager will look at it . No reply yet and looking at the hotel attitude I don't expect this to happen .
This incident was rather a small thing and related to a human error and If at any stage someone just whispered to me the magic ward " Sorry " my review might have been different .
For sure I will not stay in this hotel again .
- hamid (6/5): - The quality of room were OK & Behaviour of staff as well OK but location of hotel were auoful because you can hearing engine of airoplane from midnight to morning that over sky of hotel
- MAGDI (2/5): - My advise is : AVOID
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice hotel helpful staff - Hotel staff were very nice and helpful and the room itself was quite nice. It's in an area that's not touristy but it's a quick 10min walk to the metro so the location is pretty convenient
