Guest Reviews
- Victor Manuel (10/5): -
- Alice Fionnagh (8/5): A great base for a fantastic hiking trip! - Casa Rural Carmita is a great base for a hiking holiday on Gran Canaria and is very accessible by bus with access to Cruz de Tejeda, and other great walking options. Alejandro even had a set of hiking poles to use for my stay.
There was some rainy weather when I was there and I was warm and comfortable waiting out the rain in the apartment or warming up after a day's hiking.- there's aircon, heaters, etc.
The apartment is well equipped so cooking and eating in is an option and there's a supermarket 5 mins down the road.
The bedroom is cozy and quiet and there's blinds so nice and dark.
Alejandro is a welcoming and helpful host and on hand to answer questions and make recommendations. A few more lamps to soften the lightening would make it even more cozy.
- Kenneth (10/5): Exceptional - The location and the facilities are excellent.
- Liz (10/5): Really lovely welcoming host and property was in the main square so a perfect location -
- Paul (8/5): Very good - Central location , very nicely presented. Old but extremely good renovation. Nice traditional canarian town with plenty of restaurants and good supermarkets. Restaurant right next door can be a bit noisy at weekend. Alejandro tries to be very helpful. Not easy to park considering the towns location a car is essential to explore the area. Biggest issue is both a booking.com and host issue, it is stated that the host accepts payment by visa this is not correct he will not! and even after phoning booking.com this issue was not sorted. Very uncomfortable sofa.
- Sheila (8/5): A delightful place to stay if the weather behaves itself - The owner Alejandro is a delightful man who provided us with a welcome bottle of local wine and full instructions as to the operation of everything.
Location is perfect, a stone's throw from the centre, bus station and shops.
The house is comfortable, equipped with everything including two heaters which you definitely need when it is cold and wet. The weather: rain for three days and temperatures of 11C.
A detail: the lights could do with being brighter.
