The room looked out onto the lake and was clean and tidy. The pool was a great touch to, very clean and a nice place to relax. It was slightly damp in the bathroom, but it was still lovely and they tried to air and clean as much as possible. It was lovely having the french doors open up at the front of the bedroom onto the seaview but if you were a bit more worried about safety, then you might not be so keen to have these. Wasn't a problem for us and we had no problems.

La personne sur place nous a conseillé d'aller au waterfront pour prendre notre repas. Endroit très sympa et sécurisé. Petit-déjeuner avec plusieurs choix à la carte. Le départ a aussi été rapide. L'isolation n'était pas bonne et la route très fréquentée c'était donc bruyant. La route pour y accéder est plutôt étroite. Il y a une piscine sur place qui est passablement petite.

Traffic noise from the main road below daytime when sitting on the balcony, but much less noise at nights. Driveway to parking is a little tight if driving a mid/full size car.
• Babba57 (8/5): Prima overnachtingsplek met beveiligde parkeerplaats op doorreis of kort verblijf - Wij hadden een kamer met mooi uitzicht over de lagune (zie foto) . Deze bevond zich op ca. 20 min van de levendige binnenstad en de haven. Parkeren kon ook voor de deur. Op loopafstand bevindt zich een uitstekende eetcafe. Badkamer was ruim met goede douche. Verder hebben we geen gebruik gemaakt van de publieke faciliteiten (oa restauratie ruimte en kleine zwembad) Onze kamer was aan de kleine kant waardoor je twee middelgrote koffers moeilijk kwijt kon als je uit de koffer wilt leven ( vaak bij korte verblijf).. Het was een licht hoekappartement met veel openslaande ramen voor de ventilatie. Helaas hebben we de gordijnen vaak gesloten gehouden voor privacy ( vanwege de overloop) en de ramen dichtgedaan in de avond vanwege verkeersgeluid van de voorliggende autoweg. De kamer had geen airco, maar de ventilator redde het net omdat het ook niet erg warm was (ca. 20 graden)

Location perfect – quick to hop on N2 to head out of Knysna (for daily cricket matches at Rheenendal sportsfields), far enough from town bustle but close enough to Waterfront for strolls and suppers, and beautiful views from the rooms. Breakfast scrumptious and coffee good – and with a view. Hosts and staff exceptionally helpful, accommodating, friendly and professional. I'll be back!

Sadly the incessant noise of the traffic was a disraction to the tranquil view. Maybe the owners should look at sound proofing the windows at least going forward.

• Sofia (8/5): Cumplidor - La ubicación está buenísima. Cerca del waterfront y el centro de Knysna. Además cuenta con parking, lo cual lo hace muy cómodo. Las vistas del hotel son muy lindas, ya que dan a la laguna. Es como un hotel rutero muy bien ubicado. La habitación pequeña pero cómoda y limpia. Buena relación calidad precio. Quisimos contratar el desayuno pero era realmente muy caro. En el baño había un olor muy fuerte, como a viejo.

• Tyra (4/5): - Hostile vibe, lots of warnings everywhere about being evicted or not booking breakfast. Had a motel vibe and was very loud through the night as it was six apartments on top of each other that looked out right onto the road. Didn’t feel as good as advertised

• Lana (10/5): We will definitely be back! - Gill and her husband are great hosts. They lit a lovely fire for us while we watched the rugby. It really created a very cosy atmosphere! The bed we slept in, felt like it had collapsed on the one side causing me to roll to the edge the whole time
