- Lucas (5/5): Ok for the price. - Super friendly staff and the way the rooms were designed provides a good experience. Anyone can access the property via the parking. Location is also not optimal as many tourists places are far away from the hotel.

- Lea (10/5): Very nice place to stay in - I am very happy with my choice of this hotel built in traditional way, we are still therefor four days more, and even plan to come back in for our departure in September. We’re really happy, the children did enjoy the pool opening from 7:00 am until sunset. The WIFI is not that strong.

- Verified traveler (8/5): - Le Grad Calao was a nice little oasis in the middle of the hustle and bustle of a busy Ouagadougou street. As an American first time visitor to Burkina, I felt safe and secure on the property of the Grand Calao. The rate was reasonable and the grounds were well kept. My room was very no frills, but nice, neat and best of all - air conditioned. The owner of the property was very visible, so that was somewhat reassuring. The main gripes I had with the hotel, was that they could use some kind of citronella or bug repellent candles in their dining and lounging areas. Also, the toilet in my room was not thoroughly cleaned (underneath the lid), but I always carry disinfectant wipes, so I took care of that myself. Overall, my experience at Le Grand Calao was pleasant.

Accueil chaleureux et personnalisé, personnel très serviable et attentif aux besoins des clients, même si c’est quelque fois un peu long. Chambres propres, bien climatisées avec une literie confortable. Pour le reste, c’est largement suffisant. C’est dommage que le restaurant ne propose pas de cuisine locale. Autre bémol, mais on ne peut pas tout avoir ; hôtel excentré et pas grand-chose autour. Hôtel à recommander, et j’y retournerai certainement lors de mon prochain voyage à Ouagadougou.
- Bo (10/5): Riktigt bra boende för rimliga pengar! - Ett billigt och mycket bra hotell. Maten är förvånansvärt god! Det är ett stort pluss att de har gratis transfer till och från flygplatsen i bra bil. De talar inte så bra engelska men det fungerar och ägaren till hotellet talar bra engelska.
- Morgan (10/5): An amazing little oasis - An amazing little oasis on the outskirts of the city. Comfortable rooms, pool is a welcome treat in the hot weather. The staff and owner were extremely helpful even with the language barrier.

They were accommodating where I needed help and though I travelled alone I didn't feel that I was alone. It is a Great boutique hotel that I'd recommend to many. I also look forward to visit & explore more of the town again.
