Guest Reviews
- Preeti (8/5): Good but be careful when traveling with seniors. - Great location, very courteous staff. We were looked after well and Mr. Ankit made sure our stay was comfortable. If you are travelling with seniors, please be sure to call in advance and inform them. This is a heritage property and so some of the comforts we take for granted today may be difficult to accomodate here under normal circumstances. But if you inform in advance, they will likely help and make your stay comfortable.

- william (3/5): Bad value for money - The building itself, the decor, the staff I strayed in three Neemrana properties and the experience was similar in each. The historical buildings are wonderful, the staff polite and helpful and the ambience is nice. The rooms however are not in the slightest adapted to today’s urban environment: my room was noisy, without sound isolation of any sort, a bit dirty. There was even black mould on the wall in my room here. I checked out two days early here, losing money, but I didn’t want to stay longer.
- Graham (10/5): Short stay - A very grand building with lovely big rooms
Great restaurant
Friendly staff
A small park a few minutes walk away Nothing
- Graham (10/5): Short stay - The grandeur of the property - high ceilings, big staircases, large verandahs. Wonderful
We had a delicious meal in the restaurant and enjoyed the breakfast Nothing
- Sidhu (9/5): -
- Elspeth (7/5): - Garden setting is pleasant, and the Kali Temple within close walking distance if you are interested. Lack of room for dinner in the diningroom, having to eat in the bar. At buffet breakfast I was asked if I would like omelet, or pancakes, which it transpired were an additional charge! I consider that unfortunate and an unusual practice.
- Jain (10/5): Comfortable and easy stay!! - Comfortable room and location was perfect. Na
- Rajinder (8/5): - I would be back for sure but there was a smell in the bathroom which should be fixed otherwise it was a great stay. Very classy and quiet. Bathroom smell.
- Archana (8/5): Comfortable one night stay in patiala in a heritage property - The staff was very proactive and friendly and genuinely wanted to make our stay perfect. Nothing ….,it was a good experience

- Dr Santosh (10/5): Excellent - Property is actually a palace converted to hotel and boy is it good , it is good , old style rooms , huge rooms with huge beds but with all modern amenities, neat and clean and excellent AC too , hotel is not crowded and one can have ample privacy, staff are excellent, they even allowed early check in for us , food is excellent and authentic, breakfast buffet is good but tends to be repetitive, lush green park is in surroundings, , over all a great hotel Everything was good
- Naveen (3/5): Poor -
- Sankalp (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anil (2/5): Terrible - Booked the hotel for one night as we didn’t feel confident about the hotel. And i am glad we didn’t book for longer.
Lizards in bathroom, roaches in the room, lack of proper locks and the big red flag was the hotel was deserted.
We checked out within 1 hour. And decided to stay at friend’s
- Kaustuv (8/5): Very good -
- Rishu (10/5): - It is excellent property nd this was my 3rd visit . everytime i found it providing best in class services
- Atit (7/5): Good -
- Preet (10/5): PERFECT & TOO GOOD. - A perfect place to stay. Very comfortable, good, clean and fine hospitality. Everyone was so helpful. A palace converted to a hotel having big beds, rooms and bathrooms that were being used by the then rulers. Just Admirable! Would recommend everyone to stay here on their visit to Patiala. I cannot see anything negative with the property.
- Dr. (7/5): A Palace with Character — but in Need of Care! - There’s no denying the old-world charm that Neemrana’s Baradari Palace exudes — from its regal architecture to the nostalgic ambiance of a bygone era. The palace feel certainly remains intact, and the setting is picturesque. However, the upkeep leaves much to be desired.
One of the first things I noticed was the accumulation of dust — not just in the corners but almost everywhere. The creaking of doors and wooden staircases added to the vintage experience, but not always in a pleasant way. The carpets in the rooms and common areas are in desperate need of cleaning — they give off a strong, musty smell that’s hard to ignore.
The gym was the biggest letdown. It was so dusty that I developed a bad allergy on the very first day and had to resort to medication. Unfortunately, every time I used the gym afterward, the same pattern repeated — not something one would expect, especially from a heritage property.
The breakfast was decent, but the menu barely changed over the days of my stay. The South Indian dishes, in particular, could use a serious upgrade — they lacked authenticity and variety. Additionally, the WiFi was temperamental; it disconnected frequently, and I had to call the reception twice to get it fixed.
Overall, while it’s certainly not a flawless experience, it’s perhaps one of the better options available in Patiala. If you go in with tempered expectations and an appreciation for history, you might find it worth your while. Otherwise, be prepared for some rough edges.

- Maninderpal (4/5): - Not worth the money. The property is not being managed properly.
- Ajay (10/5): Exceptional -
- Raj (7/5): Good - Breakfast and fresh Indian chai( tea). No lift available. Very difficult to climb stairs now and than.
- Sandeep (8/5): Better than I could have imagined. - I loved my room. It was a round room overlooking the park with a lovely terrace/veranda outside. I felt transported to the past and really enjoyed the stay. The staff were able to check me in early as I'd arrived sooner than anticipated. I think the main dining hall area could be a little updated (still in keeping with the property's original style). I was only here one night, but for some reason there was loud music coming from the park in the morning. I know the hotel can't control what's happening in the park, but it's just one thing I couldn't get my head around. It would have been a perfect stay otherwise.
- Sanjiv (8/5): A very enjoyable and comfortable stay. The Hotel maintains it old world charm. - A very good breakfast, qualitywise and service...the location of the Hotel is the best in Patiala, in a very prime locality. Provision of a lift for the second floor, if possible. Improve the fixtures in the washroom.
- Ranjan (3/5): Poor - Reasonable The room allotted had poor sound proofing and the adjoining room conversations & kids screaming was disturbing. Coffee pods had to be paid for - no sachets were available (tea bags were)
- Ruppy (10/5): Great 👍 - Top Location , helping Staff. And a very professional manager . Breakfast was actually very good. And even a welcome cake was very impressive. We enjoyed our stay Hot water system 😄
- Sidhartha (9/5): Magnificient - We reached around 1 pm and had requested for early check-in which took about 20 minutes. The Receptionist acceded to our request a ground floor room was allotted, which was very convenient.
The room was huge, and had one double bed, with two single beds, a seating area with 6 seater sofa, with high ceilings, and attached en-suite. Linen was clean and crisp, and all amenities available. We stayed for one night, and had to leave early the next day due to some family commitments. They even packed a breakfast hamper for us at 5 am in the morning which was a sweet gesture!! Nothing that I can think of, except some discounts for regular visitors!!
- Vijay (8/5): Very good -
- Gursewak (10/5): Best Hotel in Patiala, India. - I had an amazing experience in the hotel. Next time, j am taking my whole family there. The staff was great. Very friendly nd supportive. The location was awesome. It gives you the feeling of being a royal.

- Puneet (9/5): Very good - Excellent food and excellent and prompt staff No elevator for 1st & second floor
Dimly lit
- Adam (9/5): Superb - Lovely period palace with restaurant, gym and table tennis table. Huge ceilings and grand varranders help create a special atmosphere. Complimentary high tea with snacks at 5pm every day was a nice touch. The grounds are in a poor state.
- Ashvinder (9/5): Superb -
- Tejinder (5/5): Passable - Try to give old touch in rooms but still the Price of room is very high.they r providing basket and mug in bath room and they don't have not that much varieties in breakfast...so we were not satisfied after giving 11000/- for a night in neemrana baradari Patiala.. 🙏

- James (9/5): Superb - Beautiful old palace, feels like stepping back in time. Nice friendly staff, quaint little bar, nice patio area for an evening G&t. Huge rooms and MASSIVE bathroom with free standing tub. I loved this place and will be back 100%
Breakfast was pretty standard buffet, good enough to keep you going a while!
Super cental location and in a gardens setting, next to the wonderful Patiala Club and the Patiala Peg bar Nothing
- Smriti (9/5): Superb -
- Arun (10/5): A place you can call your second home. - This is a colonial era building perched inside a 74 acre lush green garden, away from traffic noise and within ear shot of constant bird chirping that never seem to stop. I have seen birds here that I hv not seen elsewhere..
And the bathroom was the size of a room with a bathtub bang in the middle of it.
This is a place one can keep coming back to for peace and rejuvenation and go back to City life fully charged. N.A.
- Harpreet (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sushama (9/5): Charming, quirky and comfortable with old style hospitality - This former palace is 5 min away from the main road, in a peaceful, leafy area. The most striking feature of the hotel is how spacious the public areas, the bedrooms and bathrooms are. Outside our bedroom there was a large terrace with tables and chairs.
Breakfast was varied and buffet style. We also dined in the restaurant and found the food to be good. This is the 3rd Neemrana hotel we have stayed in and are looking forward to our next one.
- Attilio (10/5): - La struttura è molto bella, camera pulita, personale gentile, letto comodo, buona colazione. L'unica buona ragione per andare a Patiala
- Nehamanohar (9/5): Superb - I liked the location. I liked the staff. I also liked the dinner. Room size is good I liked that rooms have hot water in winters. Breakfast can be better. Radiators can be better
- Emily (10/5): Stunning at night time - Absolutely stunning property on the outside and inside, plus great hot water that last for ages.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - everything was fine.
- Jim (1/5): Bad - Nothing I was treated like garbage, and she did out of my money
- Gamdoor (9/5): Superb - Gym and park Cleans are not upto mark
- Catherine (9/5): Exceptional Team providing a great guest experience - All the staff at Baradari Palace were exceptional in every way. They went above and beyond whether it was bringing an extra radiator to the room literally minutes after it was requested, assisting us with booking transport or rustling up not one but 2 last minute birthday cakes for our respective birthdays.
We also enjoyed really good food at a reasonable price and a very comfortable room in a historic building.
A really wonderful experience from the moment we arrived. Thank you to everyone for making our stay very special. Nothing!
However the building was a bit cold and lacking warm, cozy places to sit and lounge/read....maybe a smaller room could be dedicated to this in future for cold weather?
Also, the pictures in Booking.com made the Comfort Heritage rooms appear to have a bath (in the description it actually only says shower but I didn't see this), so we were initially expecting a bath and larger room - but were very happy with both room and shower.
