Guest Reviews
- Jose (10/5): - Good
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The place was dirty. The sheets were stained. There was spiders all over the outside of the hotel. I found spiders inside my room.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very clean and quiet. Staff very nice. The owner is helpful and kind. Felt safe at the hotel.
- Brian (4/5): - After I got home I found that the motel tried to charge me an extra fees to my credit card to cover the motel's Expedia fees. I contacted Expedia and Expedia said the motel should not be doing that and said I would get a refund from Expedia.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The room smelled awful. Now my belongings and myself smell like it. Nasty.. the toilet paper had discoloration to it showing its age. The bed had a big in it. I have pictures to prove these claims. I want a refund in full.
- Jacqueline (2/5): Decieving - The pictures where very deceiving pillows where flat the bed was very uncomfortable the toilet was lose there was a crack in the shower floor smell moldy and there was a chunk of ice in the refrigerator there was no security latch spider webs and a slug crawling in the room also and I was charged more then I was told
- Ihab (10/5): - Thank you to the Budget Lodge staff, my room was nice and clean. Very nice and quiet during the day and night. I felt very safe. The reception staff were so friendly and ready to help. They have picnic tables outside for you to sit and chairs on the property. My tv was working good, my bathroom and shower was very clean. My room smelled good, ac was working in this hot weather. Beautiful landscaping and gazebo outside and beautiful little Orthodox Chapel. They even have a nice snack bar at the hotel. Price was good. Keep up the good job Budget Lodge Warren. Thank you!
- Chris (10/5): - I enjoyed my stay here the budget lodge my room was absolutely fantastic nice and clean. The property its so beautiful nice gazebo outside and excellent and outstanding staff. I will come again.
- Bishop (10/5): - My room was nice and clean staff were amazing. Very nice and quiet at the Budget Lodge. I felt very safe. They have a nice gift shop and snacks. I am very amazed at them how clean my room was and friendly is their staff. I will make when visiting to come again.
- Ruby (10/5): - This was a very affordable motel with nice rooms, very clean. The people were very helpful & friendly. It is also conveniently located with lots of things to do close by.
- Lexi (10/5): - My room was clean and bed was made. Everything in my room worked including the air conditioner and the tv nothing was broken. It’s so hot during the day so I was super happy that the a/c worked. It wasn’t too loud and if you need anything there is a dollar general next door super convenient. Staff are so friendly and helpful. I highly recommend staying at the budget lodge.
- Stacy (2/5): - We were greeted by a nice and helpful employee, Richard, on his first day of employment at the Budget Motel, in Warren, PA. He was extremely helpful and accommodating, while speaking with the owner for specific instructions. He was, by far, the best part of our stay. Once getting to our assigned room, we found the heater blasting (in hot, humid, July weather) and the AC unit not functioning. Fortunately, a quick phone call to the front desk got us immediately reassigned to the room next door. We entered the new room to find it fairly unclean (dead bugs on floor, shower dirty) and unserviced (no garbage bag liner in the garbage can, no basic toiletries like a bar of soap). We plugged in the refrigerator and turned on the AC unit, which were both working, thankfully. Upon our return to the motel, after 1.5 hours, the room was cool enough, but there was a terrible odor permeating the room, seemingly coming from the bathroom. We slept with the bathroom door closed, but awoke before our alarm, to a stinky, unpleasant odor in the entire room. We packed up and had to immediately leave. Checkout had a drop-box for the key, but the proprietor met us at the office door just before 8 AM, to take the key. We knew that we reserved a cheap option from Expedia, and were extremely disappointed with what we received, despite the price. I will hesitate to use this site and will never stay at this location again.
- Shelton (2/5): - I didn’t like anything at all. There was a spider in the corner of the room. The beds were uncomfortable. I found a finger stent beside my bed and threw it away. I originally was up in PA for work and booked my stay for the 22nd through the 25th of November well I ended up getting laid off the 23rd and wasn’t able to get a refund back for the unstayed nights which I disagree with.
- Rodney (4/5): - Property is very old. Was a quiet night when we stayed there. Bed was fairly comfortable.
- Richard (4/5): - Below average motel, high priced, penalty for booking with Expedia.
Wifi didn't work beyond the office.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The manager was kind, but that didn’t make up much for the smell of mustiness when walking into the room. Spiders lived in their webs in the corners. Bathroom door wouldn’t close due to warping and loose veneer. We registered two guests, but there was only one towel and one wash cloth. No shampoo. Thin walls meant the loud arguing neighbors keep us awake most of the night.
- Eric (2/5): - Not a good place to stay I personally had a water pipe leak on me through the ceiling while I slept
- Stephanie (10/5): - My husband and I have been staying at the Budget Lodge since July 3rd, and we absolutely love it. It is ran by Bishop Ramsey who has been more than hospitable, understanding, and accommodating. The hotel used to have a horrible reputation and in the past 5 years he has completely turned this place around under his ownership. He is a great man and is doing great things for the community and anyone who stays here. Id also like to mention there is a beautiful Cristian chapel right next to the hotel, in which he gave us a tour of, and it had nothing but beautiful vibes. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anybody who is looking to save a couple bucks and still get a quality experience all around. We have stayed at several hotels in our travels the past few months, and this hotel by far is the cleanest, and safest feeling establishment we have stayed at. We are staying another week and have made our room as personalized as we can and Bishop Ramsey has not one issue with us doing so. 5 stars all day long 😀!!!
- Kimberly (10/5): GREAT HOME AWAY FROM HOME! - The manager/owner was very accommodating to us! He is very kind, personable and made us feel like we were right at home! We wouldn't stay anywhere else after our experience with the Budget Lodge and the owner! As long as he's in charge, we would be there!
- Michael (4/5): - I likwd the price. However i pulled back the comforter and the was lipstic on rhe pillow case from whoever befor i got there
- Michael (2/5): - Could not even check in nobody was there called a few times and no answer and had to go 120 miles home
- Manuel (4/5): - The Heater did not work, therefore it was quite cold at night. Also the bed was not comfy and I got pain in my back from it. There were nearly no grounded power sockets in the whole room to properly charge my devices.
Also i was charged more mony, than written in the Expedia offer.
- Erin (4/5): - It's just an older, grungy motel. The owner was very nice though.
- Katrina (2/5): - There was no staff on property at all. Other guests were having an extremely loud party at midnight. There was no power of any kind even though other buildings had power.
- Rachel (10/5): - Absolutely loved our stay there. The owner is incredibly kind and went above and beyond our expectations. He talked with me and did all he could to make sure we were satisfied with our room. The property and room are very cozy and cute for the price. We shall definitely spend more nights in the future here.
- Shelley (2/5): - Room dirty, door didn’t work to get into room, bed was extremely uncomfortable & sheets were dirty.
- Brent (2/5): - They did not honor my Travelocity reservations. We had to call around to find another hotel and find a place to stay far away
- Andrew (2/5): Very dissatisfied. - This was the worse stay ever. First, I ordered two rooms which cost $148.00. When I got there, they only had record of one room which cost $89.00. The second room we had to reserve with them. First off, the second room was $82.00. They then proceeded to write down the credit card number, expiration date, 3-digit pin and drivers license number down on the back of the reservation paper so they would have it in case there were additional charges. (not too professional). Then, to the room. Room #1 had sheets that were marked with a hospitals logo. Wow!! Your motel sheets are taken from a hospital. Next, dirty bathrooms. Room #2. Hole in the shower. We did not feel comfortable taking a shower there. Sorry, but not pleased at all. When we spoke to people in the area, we were told we should have reserved at the Hampton, they were only $5.00 more.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The sheets were torn. There was moldy used soap in the bathroom shower. The room was dusty. The sink in the bathroom was not wiped down or cleaned.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - We arrived there was no one there other than a woman squatting who had found a key in the drop box.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This place advertised 24 hours, It is not! No way to contact anyone for service or check in after early evening! Even their in house phone goes unanswered!
We had prepaid, no refund reservations and could not get our room, spent the night in our truck and had Nationals race that morning. No rooms anywhere in the area.
There was suspicious activity as we spent 2hours in their parking lot trying to make contact!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The place was run down and dirty.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - when I got there I was charged more money than originally quoted and refused a refund of any type
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Only one set of towels for 2 people sheet on the bed no blanket. Partial roll of toilet paper. Toilet bowl was disgusting.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not going back - Tried calling to check our reservation and they didn’t answer after an hour and a half we stopped calling. Was very disorganized and didn’t have a room ready. Cleanliness left much to be desired especially the shower. Guest were sitting outside our door making noise until 1:30 in the morning.
- Michael (6/5): Scam - Smoked out side as to a non smoking rooms, still charge a cleaning fee....always had to have the windows open cause the heater unit on the walls never turned off fully and the crappy old wall ac unit was dusty and struggled to keep the room a decent temp...I've traveled all over the united states and have never been charged a fee for such crappy service and rooms...I should of spent the extra 30 a room and stayed at the nice hotel near town..I'm pretty sure my bags were rummaged through when I was away......says 24 hour front desk, got there at 330 am and had to call the number on the door for 30min to get a answer in the freezing temps then have then call another person to check me in.... FALSE advertising....watch out for the spiders and bed bugs,,I found at least one dead one..........I hope this truthful review cause you business. Don't steal from small business spending money at your business.DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Fishing Trip - Our stay was great and the service was exceptional.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Was very dirty. Appeared to have mold in the shower. Sheets were dirty. The room smelled awful. I turned around and did not stay there.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Couldn't check in! Tried to call mid afternoon no answer, no message avail. Tried to check in, office was closed, this was at 10:00 pm! Went to different motel!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The property was closed and not operating at are arrival. Expedia should have not let those dates available for renting knowing that fact. I have no longer faith in Expedia
- Verified traveler (2/5): - They were not there to check me in after I had a reservation. They we completely gone from the property. I the motel closed permanently?
- Timothy (2/5): NO COMMUNICATION OPTIONS = EXTREMELY POOR SERVICE - I ended up sleeping in my car in a Walmart parking lot near the Budget Lodge. I called EIGHT TIMES over two previous days to let them know that I would arrive a few minutes after 11:00 pm. NO ONE ANSWERED THE PHONE. I flew from Florida to Cleveland, drove non-stop for three hours from the airport to the hotel, arriving at 11:13. NO ONE WOULD COME TO THE DOOR. I have every right to be very upset. Hotels.com also dropped my case because the too could not get anyone to answer their phone calls. WHY DOES HOTELS.COM KEEP CLIENTS LIKE THIS?!!!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - This was an issue with Expedia as property was over booked, so had to find another location ( after driving out of our way to get to this hotel). Extremely disappointed & frustrated with this.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Staff went out of his way to to ensure our comfort.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Small clean room, quiet, dollar general next door for things one may need.
- John (6/5): - Much in need of updates, some that wouldnt require much effort. Otherwise, clean, comfy bed, water was hot. Good for the money!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Loved the price. It was quiet. You get what you pay for. It was worth $60.
- Jonly-Donly (8/5): - Nice, low cost lodging. Close to area ANF attractions
- Adrienne (10/5): Cozy and Simple! - The room was cozy and simple, and the price was right! The town of Warren is great, and the motel was right in the mountains.
- Verified traveler (6/5): It's okay for the PRICE - The hotel was okay for the PRICE. A bit noisy from a group of motorcycle club.
Close to camping area. But one thing I am not sure about safety. Please keep your belongings safe, locks in the car!
