- PMary-Jane (4/5): Max. 1 night staying. Not more - Some time after my booking, I was asked to change room, because the other one was supposedly not available "a bit strange". I reluctantly accepted and on the condition that it would be a quiet room. Because I read that they have two buildings, one of which is not near the road and therefore quieter. They confirmed that it was. Which is not the case, in the evening we hear car alarms; one evening it is a bar next the building and in the mornings from 6 o'clock there is music outside or the employees (so-called tourists) who from 7:00 am talk in the kitchen or cook. Because you should know that my room is just a few steps from the open kitchen and where we have to go to access our rooms. As a result, we enjoy sightseeing days less because of fatigue. I can accept when I am given a good explanation, but not when we are taken for fools, sad I can’t put photo and video as proof. As I write this, it's 7:30 a.m. Music has been playing since 6:00 a.m., and I'm guessing it's the kitchen staff making the noise.

- IZRI (10/5): Agradable - La estancia en general muy cómoda, la cama y almohadas excelentes lo recalco porque es algo que se agradece para descansar, el único detalle en mi personal opinión fue que no sabía que mi habitación no tenía baño y era compartido! sin embargo las áreas se mantuvieron limpias y no fue problema el uso, sugeriría poner un letrero para indicar cuando está ocupado o no, ya que aunque es obvio tocar antes de abrir una puerta el detalle estaría perfecto, también sugeriría en la página hacer la aclaración del uso compartido del baño de alguna habitaciones…. Es una casa muy linda; propiamente no es un hotel como los conocemos. Cuentan con una ubicación extraordinaria, sala cómoda, la atención vía whats siempre muy buena, en la entrada tienen sombrillas para uso de los huéspedes, refrigerador, cocina.

Me pareció caro, el cuarto muy pequeño con cortinas blancas, entra toda la luz de la calle, muy mal aseado con pelos en el piso del cuarto y el baño. En la cochera había heces de perro, había que pisar con cuidado. Ojalá mejoren estos aspectos porque era muy buen lugar antes.

It may not be a good choice for someone with mobility issues due to interior stairs and its location on a cobblestone street.

- Mike Gagnon (10/5): Home away from home - Felt like I was at home. Nice change from sterile typical hotel rooms. Felt the comforts and warmth of a personal home Only down fall is a shared bathroom. But a very nice clean bathroom. It wasn’t a problem this time for us but personal prefer private. Would recommend to stay here.
- David (10/5): - I've stayed here numerous times, both as an individual and as a group leader. Each and every time the stay has been wonderful. If there are issues, the staff addresses them quickly and professionally. If there are caveats for choosing this location, here they are... 1. The local area is fine but there are a couple of bars and restaurants nearby that have live [loud] music. That could impact your stay. 2. Most rooms require you to climb stairs. So if you pack that 700 pound streamer trunk luggage, you'll struggle. Apart from that, the Casita is wonderful, the staff friendly and the place is safe with lots of hot water for your morning shower. Enjoy.

He also gave us great recommendations of where to go to get some late night tacos! The next day on our check out day he allowed us to leave our bags there while we did an excursion before going to our next destination. The beds were AMAZING! The service was WONDERFUL and the area was GREAT! I would highly recommend La Casita de Coyoacan and will hopefully be back! Thank you!

- An0nyMs (8/5): Two houses, one with a loud dog - My first night, I woke up four times -- 11, midnight, 1, and 6 -- to barking from the big dog who lives inside the home (though it might have been just outside my window sometimes). The staff didn't seem to do much about it; the midnight barking went on for what seemed like a couple of minutes. Luckily, they have another house a minute or so away that's totally quiet; they moved me there. Everything else was wonderful. The breakfast was well-cooked, the WiFi is fast, and the location is excellent: two minutes' walk from a main street with a small 24-hour grocery store.

The staff is exceptional - they are friendly, helpful and always available. The house is very clean and beautiful with so many different areas to relax either outdoors (rooftop) or indoors. A warm breakfast is served in the AM, which is a great way to start the day. Location is perfect - close to public transport and not far from center city (about 30 min on train), which allows for quiet evenings. Coyoacan itself is such a cool bohemian city - the house is within walking distance (about 15 min walk) of the main square, which is filled w/ shops, restaurants, bars, etc. We loved our stay at La Casita and thank everyone there for such a great time! - ramihkatz (10/5): A welcoming place with great people and great food. - We loved staying at La Casita de Coyoacan. We spent two weeks here during our time in Mexico and got to know the staff very well. Breakfast was always a perfect way to start the day, served at the big common table, which was shared with other guests, on the main floor. Yogurt, cereal, toast, tea, coffee, a fruit bowl, and usually a delicious egg breakfast awaited us each morning. Dietary restrictions can be respected here--my partner is lactose intolerant and they would always find ways to offer a delicious breakfast that she could eat, thanks to the warm hospitality of the fantastic staff who provide the meals, Macaren and Katrina. Everyone who works here was consistently helpful during our stay. Any questions we had about tourism, places to eat, transport, or otherwise were always answered by the skilled and welcoming team working at La Casita. After breakfast each morning we would bring out our big paper maps (no Google maps here!) and plan our day, often with the assistance of the staff members. Thanks for all the help Diego and Gabriel! The rooms are beautifully maintained and very comfortable for any length of stay. They provided a safe in our room for which we created a code and kept any valuables. Our room had a television with a mix of Spanish speaking and English speaking channels. There's also four common spaces if you want to have more space to read or relax (outdoor patio upstairs, big couch in living room upstairs, white couches on main floor, couches near fireplace on main floor). There's a beautiful dog, Lucas, (I think he's some type of German Shepherd?) who is a well-loved family member of the staff. He doubles as a watch dog and ensures that every knock on the door is greeted by his presence. The neighbourhood is great and not far from Hidalgo Square where there are a couple of mercados and many restaurants as well as the big coyote fountain. There's also a couple of banks here that have walk-in service and ATM machines. At the end of the street where La Casita is based there's a 7 Eleven store for any big water bottle purchases or small snacks. On the other end of the same street there's a fantastic taco shop where we spent many nights. We recommend the Pastor tacos with a serving of Cebollitas and a coke. - X5635AEpaolos (4/5): nice place but dont bother locking your valuables and money in the safe they will get stolen anyway - i locked my valuables and money in the safe ..only to find the day after my son's wedding that two solid gold rings and gold earings and 550 usd dollars stolen, you woud think that if you lock things in a safe that it will be secured
- Dana (10/5): So much fun! - My husband and I stayed for a week and loved every minute. Everything was so clean, breakfast was great and everyone was very polite. They were so patient with my broken Spanish and my husband who does not speak any Spanish. The residential area around is quite nice and we always felt safe. We walked around to the nearby marketplace, shops, and of course Frida Kahlo's home. There is a 7-11 on the corner, a liquor store across the street, and a few restaurants just on the other side of the street (There is also a Starbucks within a 5 min walk). This was my husbands first time visiting Mexico other than on a cruise ship and he loved that we were in an authentic area. We will definitely stay here again next time we visit. On my most recent visit I choose to stay in Coyoacun and couldn't have been more happy with my experience. This BnB offers a comfortable rooms in a delightful house , with a wonderful breakfast I partially enjoyed relaxing up at the roof top garden (thanks Hector) and was given great advise by Diego for museums & gardens.

- Stay727482 (10/5): Lovely hosts - A brilliant place to crash for a few nights in Mexico City. It's a great neighbourhood and a bit more real-life mexico than the main tourist Zócalo region. The hosts are lovely and provide a delicious breakfast in the morning - fruit, eggs, granola etc. Different breakfast options on different days. Very clean bedroom and bathroom and free bottled water. They even have cable tv which is a blessing when you need a couple of hours to relax between sightseeing and eating! I would highly recommend this B&B.

The Casita staff are the most warm and welcoming and went far out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. What a beautiful oasis! I can't wait to return with my family one day to show them around the most beautiful city of Coyoacan. Lovely, lovely, lovely!

- joe (10/5): Charming hotel & great deal in Coyoacan - I booked this last minute because my usual hostel was full. I am happy I did! Super-safe, super-clean, very accomodating staff (even though I don't speak Spanish we managed). Included home-cooked breakfast. I will return.
