The place was clean. The beds were so comfortable. My son liked their cute chickens too. We will definitely stay again!
- Chris (10/5): Loved this home. A lot of love went into setting it up - Loved everything in this beautiful home . Exactly what was needed for some relaxation . Beautiful views even if it was a little cool to sit outside the option was there . Comfy beds and everything we needed was available to us . Michael was around if we needed him Nothing to dislike

- Candy (9/5): Superb - Amazing house with beautiful & peaceful surroundings, spacious, very fully equipped kitchen, good entertainment with big TV sets, nicely decorated interior, grassland outside the house, planted avocado trees with lovely fruits, private parking space. Our stay was very enjoyable, surely recommend it. a bit disappointed that cannot walk down to the beach since the stairs is in private property
- Sue (8/5): Fabulous location and very friendly owners. -
- Andrew (9/5): great, thanks - the view is spectacular its a little out of the way, and the narrow road to the property is currently being worked on,
- Kiki (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ted (10/5): More than just a great view - The setting is really lovely, night or day, sunny or cloudy. What a view- better than the photos! The house is charming, spacious, with just the right amenities and atmosphere. The bed we slept in was super comfy. Michael and Mina are extremely nice, respectful, and easy going.
Glad we rented a car. There was a spot just for us, and we drove up (the narrow roads for this American driver take a little getting used to...but , everyone is polite.) the road to nearby cafes and markets. We had great Thai, Turkish, Veggie frittata, all the places we ate at were great. A few of those places were Road House Kitchen, Deco,The Base Cafe, as well as the Piha Cafe near that beach.
The hikes through the forest were epic. The trees and shrubs, ferns an epiphytes were brilliant! We hiked easily down to the beach one day and up the Zig Zag trail another.
The house, the streets, town and businesses were very tidy and friendly (and not crowded during the week -November)
I just wish we could have stayed longer. Maybe next time!
- JoshT (10/5): - The most beautiful spot in Auckland. House was extremely well presented, clean, tidy, had all the appropriate necessities. The drive to and from local amenities was a small price to pay for the location that provided privacy, beauty and security. Michael and Mina were wonderful hosts and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property to anyone wanting a Auckland get-away.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lovely and clean, really well supplied with everything you need. A real gem. We had a wonderful time
- Ema (10/5): - Peaceful and quiet, gorgeous, clean and comfortable, with lovely hosts.
Would absolutely stay again!
- T & J (10/5): Clean comfort with a view - Clean, comfortable and modern while still having a homely feel.
Great views of the bay/harbour and not too far from supermarkets etc.
Safe, off street parking on a quiet street.
The air conditioning was a welcome asset along with comfortable beds.
We had all we needed to cook our meals and had lots of entertainment including Netflix in the living room and movies on the TV in one bedroom.
I would highly recommend staying here and will be doing so myself the next time I am in Auckland.
- Brian (8/5): Nice stop prior to flying out - This was a very relaxing stay. Water views on both sides of property. The only negative is that swimming is not suggested nearby. Two bedroom with great library of movies. Kitchen was very nice. Owners are very pleasant and help us with area info. Great place to stay prior to fling out of Auckland in the morning.
- Verified traveler (10/5): What a restful environment - This was our first night stay after flying from the States.
It was a beautiful, acommafing place and highly recommend it.
The location could not have been better
- Helen (10/5): - An exceptionally well and thoughtfully stocked and supplied cottage to make your stay comfortable. Small details have been thought of. View to die for - amazing!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent Cottage to stay - The cottage was very clean & everything was there that we needed. The location was exactly what we were looking for in Auckland a quiet place to veg out & get away from the shocking unbelievable place Auckland has become.
- Paul (10/5): You must stay here! - I had been travelling in Australia and New Zealand on business and wanted to take some time out. This was the ideal accomodation. It's situated down quiet a cul-de-sac on a beautiful peninsula. Its very homely and more so because I had the company of a very friendly black cat that greeted me upon my arrival and hung around for three days. The accommodation is spacious and very well appointed and equipped with everything you could possibly need. I even managed to get my laundry done thanks to having a washing machine available. Having breakfast looking out over the bay was truly memorable as the view is breathtaking. Don't pass this place by and remember to get some food for the cat if you are in the supermarket!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great position for French Bay - If you're attending an event at the French Bay Yacht Club, then this place is great! Located between French Bay and Titrangi village, it's perfectly positioned. The house is warm and cosy and easily absorbs a family. The owners (who live on site) and very friendly and accommodating.
- Danielle (10/5): Amazing location! - Wow, when you see the photos you think it can't really be that good.... But oh my, it is even more amazing! Fantastic location & beautiful house! Had all the things we needed & more! Lots of great personlised homely touches! Would recommend this to anyone visiting Auckland but not wanting to stay in the city! It was so nice to have a little piece of paradise to relax in after a busy day of activities for the kids! Lots of room for the kids to play outside too.
- Lana (10/5): Amazing water views - We spent our last night in New Zealand here, and wish we would have found this place earlier. It is a little guest house on a property that truly has water views. At other places the water views are from the main house, but not here. Also, the house itself is very clean, modern and comfortable. Nice hosts, too.
- Tan Family (10/5): Lovely house with a spectacular view - We absolutely love this stay. It is in a quiet, peaceful neighbourhood. The view itself is breathtaking. Do not miss this property if you love nature.
- Jeff (10/5): Great place to stay and close enough to Auckland - This was a great place to stay with a lots of room for my family. The view was spectacular and it was great to eat outside while watching the sun set. Would definitely return again if I come back to Auckland. The owner was really nice to deal with and very easy to communicate.
