- Jeffrey (10/5): Comfort and service. - Excellent service in an upscale B&B. Breakfasts were top shelf and there is a menu for you to make you selection the night before. Excellent wine and snacks each afternoon. A staff that really cares, all of them.

- Sarah (10/5): Charming B&B - Jane & Michelle were very welcoming. Their morning breakfasts were delicious and filling. The history of the house is fascinating. When it is just my husband and myself we always try to stay in a B&B. The Victorian Luxury B&B met and surpassed our expectations of what a B&B should be. The old house, antique furniture and decor were charming. They had a room to hang/dry your boots, coat and gloves after a day of skiing, kept them warm, dry and waiting for your next mountain adventure. The neighborhood was quiet. It was a short 200 yard or so walk up the street to the slopes. Hot tub had a good view of the bottom of the mountain. Rooms were very spacious and comfortable. There was always lemon infused water waiting for us as well as light snacks whether it be nuts, cookies or scones from breakfast. We are fans of The Victorian and will be back as Steamboat has been our mountain of choice when we ski for over 20 years.

Jane and Michelle are excellent hostesses. Friendly, thoughtful, breakfast was hearty and filling and the wine and snack happy hour was a nice touch. Location was convenient and available parking was appropriate. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this place to others.

- Justin (10/5): Can't be beat - The Victorian mansion is beautiful with a great history and story. My girlfriend and I had a comfortable and relaxing stay. The walk to the mountain is very short (you can do it in your ski boots); it's practically ski in ski out. Jane is a terrific host. The breakfast was better than what you'd get at restaurants in town. I plan to book there again next time I'm in Steamboat.

It is not staffed all the time so be prepared to be self sufficient from a point in the afternoon, but if you have stayed in a B&B before you understand that this is the case. The rooms are comfortable with lot of space. Breakfast is delicious with many choices. The sitting room is a great gathering place for the guest and there are always treats to eat if you need a snack. Really enjoyed my stay and would recommend to friends and family.

- Morgan (10/5): Charming mountainside getaway - The Luxury Victorian B&B was amazing! Fabulous accommodations and with just a 3 minute walk it is ski in ski out!! Michelle who is one of the host at the B&B was so welcoming!

Only complaint was being in the room on the main floor. You could hear the other guests that came down early for breakfast and some of the music being played at 7am.

- Tana (4/5): - Compared to other B&Bs the hosting was sub-par. We arrived at 6:00pm and were greeted with a pre-printed note and key. Our room was a made-over closet size facility with low ceilings. There was a bathroom in the hallway and we had no idea if it was our personal bathroom or a shared bathroom. Expensive for this type of hospitality. Location is great if you plan on hanging out on the mountain. The house is beautiful. Breakfast was average.

The staff, building, location and amenities are all top notch. It's a short walk to the slopes, the hot tub has an amazing view of the valley and the staff is extremely friendly and professional.

- Nell (8/5): lovely, but... - Great B&B in terrific spot. We rented the room on top floor with two single beds (It was my daughter and me). House was beautiful, with interesting history. However, I don't remember seeing anything about the bathroom being outside of the sleeping area. Given we were the only people on the third floor, it didn't matter. However, had the house been full, it would have been rather awkward to have the bathroom outside the bedroom. Breakfasts (and the ladies who made them) were great.

The nightly "happy hour" wine and cheese was another pleasant amenity. The movie theater and Jacuzzi were great ways to relax and slow the pace after a day of hiking and tubing down the river. The location was perfect and very quiet and peaceful at night. The staff was courteous and helpful. I have already recommended it to friends.

- Jennifer (10/5): Fantastic first Bed and Breakfast experience. - My sister and I stayed at the bed and breakfast for one night as part of getaway to explore Steamboat Springs. The house is beautiful and very comfortable to stay in. I have never stayed in a bed and breakfast before and was a little unsure how I would feel sharing area with other in bed and breakfast. There were two other sets of people staying there and we ran into them a couple of times, but we felt like we had most of the house to ourselves and were very comfortable. Both of us commented on how we would love to get our extended families there to stay as a big trip. Very Welcoming and will definitely go back with our loved ones (though maybe will wait till our kids who are under 4 are older).

- Robert (10/5): Just what we wanted - My college age daughters and I stayed for their Spring Break. The Victorian was perfect for us! We stayed in the Sleeping Giant room that is actually 2 rooms with 2 bathrooms. We loved the wonderful breakfasts and the delicious coffee. The staff gave us a ride to the base to start skiing. We could easily have walked to the slope (other guests did) but riding worked better for us. After skiing, Michelle picked us up at the base. We enjoyed the appetizers and wine that was prepared every afternoon and the company of the other guests. We played pool with them on the ground floor. The Victorian was perfectly situated to watch the fireworks shot from the mountaintop one night. We ate dinners out and the recs given to us were great. One night we watched a movie in the theater. The Victorian is unique in wonderful way. We enjoyed our stay much more than we would have in a condo or in a hotel. We felt more at home.
