Michael (9/5): This was a comepletely hassle free stay The bed was super comfortable and would return - I loved the welcome we got and how friendly the staff were. They were extremely helpful and accomodating. The check in was completely hassle free and very easy to come and go without any friction. The room was clean and had enough space. The bed was super comfortable, it was quiet. The welcoming chocolates was a nice touch too. There really wasn't anything I didn't like and only gave it a less score than perfect on the facilities as a few more decafienated drink and Green Tea options would have been welcome but was fine, really. Maybe a few more coat hangers would be good as two peoples clothes could all be hung up but this is nitpicking.

Janay (10/5): - We stayed in the Sycamore 2 room and it was amazing! They thought of every possible amenity we might want. I really appreciated creamers in the fridge, robes, a cutting board, etc… We had a sun room attached to our room which we thoroughly enjoyed. The magnolia tree outside our porch was blooming! The location was fantastic. On the edge of the downtown core, with so many amazing restaurants and cute stores 1-5 blocks away. If the parking spots are full, the hotel plugs the meter for you until 11am. Can’t say enough great things about the location, the hotel, and the wonderful staff! Can’t think of anything.
Timothy (10/5): - I loved everything about this hotel. In a beautiful, restored old house in a great part of town. The room was so comfy and clean. We were able to walk to so many restaurants and shops. The staff were very helpful and kind. This hotel was one of the best I've ever stayed in. I want to come back. No breakfast, but you know that when you book and there are so many places to get breakfast in just a few minutes' walk. Nothing.

FRANCES (9/5): Our stay was a super pleasant comfortable treat! - We were in the Willow suite. My adult son joined us and used the pull out in the living room, which he said was very comfortable. The property is very nicely restored and well equipped . It is comfortable, has good linens, comfortable beds, is very clean and has unique little articles of decor without being cluttered. The best feature was the little sunroom at the front which appears to have been converted from a veranda. We were able to enter and exit through this entry rather than go through the lobby. On exit, there is a nice deck with outdoor furniture, where we had our self provided happy hour one day and breakfast the next. Only one minor thing... the location of the (very adequate) bathroom requires whoever is occupying the pullout bed to go through the master bedroom. However, this wouldn't stop me from booking this suite again.

Alessandro (4/5): e spent a few days at this hotel, very close to downtown Nelson, and I must give credit to the staff for the overall ser - I really liked the location, and the staff was very kind The room was really too small, the floor was very noisy, the bed was not very comfortable, and you could hear all the noise from the other rooms

Li Na (8/5): While the room itself was tidy and well-located, the comfort level during the night was no - The room location was great — clean, quiet, and convenient. However, the central heating system was quite disappointing. It wasn’t turned on until around 12 midnight , and then kept switching on and off throughout the night, which made the room alternately too hot and too cold. I ended up catching a cold the next day, which really affected the experience.

Staff also gave us a choice of two rooms. The room was as per the pictures and the bed was very comfy. I can't wait to stay there again. So comfortable and homey and the location was great. It was a quiet time of the year but it seemed like it would be reasonably quiet even in high season. Someone forgot to finish cleaning the kettle and coffee machine but this may have been due to our room upgrade as we were originally booked in another room and changed upon arrival. It was corrected quickly so no big deal.

Benno (9/5): - A nice and comfy hotel downtown Nelson. We had room marble which was great and had all it needs for a good stay. Hotel is close to the street with good restaurants. We loved the style of the house. Nothing to complain. People having trouble with stairs should seek advise for room selection, although for the upper rooms there is a good entrance option from the back.
Doucet (9/5): Great location and warm staff in a charming small hotel - The location was perfect. The patio in back was very comfortable. It was actually nice to have cable tv: we were able to catch our game one night :) It was a little stuffy, the air conditioner was having a time keeping up. But it was remarkably warm for Nelson while we were there.

Benita (8/5): Nelson stay - Comfortable room , good amenities and very clean. Being described as a boutique hotel I anticipate thick quality towels. Ours needed to be updated as one was thin and frayed. Parking fee coverage offered for street parking until check outcis a nice touch. Didn’t get to use the front terrace or back deck but both seemed attractive for relaxing
Amy (10/5): Our stay at Cloudside was a little like being at home! - This property was extremely clean! Free parking in the back, and a back door to get out to the car. Within walking distance to restaurants and shopping, and right next door a fabulous coffee shop! We were very comfortable!

garystratford (10/5): A lovey night in Nelson - A lovely stay at a cute and well turned out local hotel. The charm and authentic history comes through in droves. The room we had was lovely, clean and had everything that we could need on hand. The hotel typified Nelson for charm.

Dan (9/5): Feels like your own apartment in the heart of the downtown. - The location was perfect. Short walk to Baker Street. The room was exceptionally large and well appointed. Parking could be an issue as they only have 4 spots. But we had no problem.

Chris (10/5): Very enjoyable stay. - Spent anniversary in Nelson. Location for walking everywhere downtown Nelson was fantastic. Very close to so many restaurants and shops. Room was cute and cozy but quite small. Basically a bedroom with a bathroom but adequate enough for a couple. It was a very unique vibey property with character. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend to others. Nothing negative to say. We had a very pleasant experience.

The room and bathroom were exceptionally clean, and the bed was comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay and the back deck patio. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in town.
tracywQ6043HK (10/5): BOOK THIS - Must stay. You must stay here. Beautiful, quaint, lovely and clean. The people were super sweet and helpful. They have thought of literally EVERYTHING you could possibly need on your stay. The attention to detail here is top notch. Bed and pillows were super comfy. The location is right off of the Main Street with the best coffee shop right around the corner. Absolute must stay in Nelson. It’s the cutest. We even had a little sun room to have coffee in off our room. There’s a back deck to have an evening glass of wine and they even provide blankets. Loved it. 10 stars

Graham (10/5): - We stayed in the Sycamore Room and it was beautiful. Very well cared for with every amenity provided. A was very welcome as it was hot in Nelson during our stay. Staff was very accommodating as we showed up early on a motorcycle and needed a reprieve from the heat. Parking is limited but free if you get one. Also this place is not suitable if you have difficulty with stairs. There are a lot of stairs! We have stayed here for our last three visits to Nelson and will definitely stay here again.

Carole (8/5): Great location and good for 2 nights-probably would have struggled with more nights due to room size - Location was very good. Parking at the rear of the property was good. Patio area at the rear was a good idea, particularly as we had booked a very small room. Plenty of communal tea and coffee and use of a fridge was good too. We had a small double room, which we did book, so no complaints there - but it was very small.
Slowski (9/5): Beautiful stay in Heart of Nelson - Great walkable location. Cozy and historic vibe. Very clean and relatively modern feeling. Staff was very accommodating, friendly and helpful. Fir room specifically was quite small, other rooms seemed more sizable. Fir room could you use some blackout blinds ideally.

Bathroom was down the hall for the CEDAR room, not ideal but it was very clean and it was my own private one so I could leave all my stuff in it. Wasn’t a big deal really Quiet spot, 4 parking spots at back. I didn’t get one one of the nights but found street parking right in front for the night. I would stay there again!

The hotel is right downtown so you are steps away from restaurants, pubs, and shops. I met lots of friendly folks in this awesome little town and can't wait to visit again. Book with the cloudside, you will not regret it!!

Lynda L Lock (9/5): Very enjoyable, I highly recommend the Cloudside Hotel - The Cloudside is a cute hotel in a great location. The owner and hotel manager were friendly, efficient, and helpful. The toilet in my room didn't shut off properly. It was a minor annoyance in an otherwise pleasant stay.
