- Chantal (10/5): - Belle chambre décorée avec avec beaucoup de goût, vue de la terrasse incroyable sur montagnes, village et océan. Jardin très fleuri. L'eau de la piscine est trouble, peut être à cause grande chaleur
- Charlotte (7/5): Relaxing - Lovely views of Anse le Ray bay and surrounding hills. Nice reasonably priced food. Room could’ve been slightly better equipped
- Matthieu (7/5): - Le fait de pouvoir manger sur place le soir, tres pratique Le petit déjeuner est insuffisant
L’eau n’etait pas belle
- Jack (1/5): - Great view. Nice staff. Good food. Smart liking pool. Owner seemed very nice. Good basic place to stay. Cockroaches in my bed… cockroach droppings on my pillow. I realise that cockroaches are common in the Caribbean, but the droppings and eggs on/under the pillow suggested that there was also a cleanliness issue. I also lifted the mattress and there were many cockroaches sitting underneath.
I didn’t get a reply from the management when requesting a change of room. Ended up not sleeping.
I hate to complain, but this seems somewhat fundamental.

- Linda (1/5): We were unable to complete check in. 0stars awful customer experience. - Nothing Very hard to locate, staff unwilling to help with finding location. Once found; staff was rude, unwelcoming, would not allow us to park vehicle safely. We felt so uncomfortable and the ladies inside home where opening happy and rude about our arrival making us leave and rebook a different hotel for the same night losing 5 hours in a day of vacation hunting for site; then hunting for another hotel. Worst experience on island in MANY YEARS; in my years travelling on this island it is Rare to find local spots with owners that are SO RUDE and UNWELCOMING. Booking.com also charged me the full rate for this stay - even after having to book another suite for same night with the site. Never been so unhappy with a booking reservation. Do not recommend.
- Sharissa (10/5): - Everything was great and the staff is very nice and accommodating

- hiroshi (10/5): プールサイドからカリブ海の絶景を満喫出来ます。 - Webどおりの素晴らしい眺めです。 今回の部屋はシャワーの水の出が悪かった。
- Rachael (8/5): Great for a chill as long as you don’t mind being remote - Very clean and tidy , nice breakfast and restaurant Really is in the middle of nowhere
- Carl (7/5): Lovely. - Great views. Lovely staff. Great room. Troublesome entry system not working. Out of season building works.
- Kristin (10/5): - What an amazing view and great place to rest and relax. Owners were very helpful. Already shared with a family member who has visited!
- Ravi (10/5): - If you are looking for an affordable place away from the hussle and noise this is a great place. Wonderful staff and i had great conversations with the owner. Room was clean and all the necessary amenities were available (except for iron) but if you ask one will be provided to you. Restaurant is right there on the compound with plenty of options.
- Harvey (4/5): Disappointing -
- Giovanna (10/5): - The property is nicely located on top of the mountains with incredibly views. The rooster sings in the morning making it an immersive experience. The property has beautiful flowers. They have a restaurant and meals are prepared fresh to order. It is tricky to find the place and the roads to get to the place are very steep. You will need a car or transportation to get around.
- Aislinn (6/5): The view from the pool was amazing. The parking situation, as people have mentioned in other reviews, isn't great an - The pool with the Bay View.
The parking situation, as people have mentioned in other reviews, isn't great and the only real way in and out of the neighborhood is by car. There were 4/5 flights of steep stairs just to get to the main floor and 2 more to get to your room.
You have to fetch your own food when notified.
Some of the items on the menu needed to be ordered 4-7 days in advance.
The TV had a huge crack/smashed in the left hand side of the screen.
The fridge/hot and cold water machine didn’t work.
- Afsaneh (6/5): - This is probably the most beautiful property in an Larray if not in the whole island. The flowers, the views of the bay, and the views of the mountain are breathtaking. You have to go with the right mindset, though. The staff and the hostess did not make me feel welcome at all. Far from being courteous or kind. My room was cleaned one time in five days. There was no soap or shampoo in the room. We had to buy our own. The property is up the hill, which is just like everything else in St. Lucia. We walked up and down the hill several times to catch the bus. Not too bad at all. They arrange taxi for you, but transportation is pretty expensive in St. Lucia. If you plan to eat dinner at the property, you need to let them know in advance. Otherwise you get groans and the items you ask for may not be available. All said, apart from lack of courtesy and hospitality, this property is most beautiful.
- Sara (10/5): - Our stay at Tropical Paradise View Resort was nothing short of amazing, and a huge part of that was thanks to Primis! From the moment we arrived, he made us feel at home with his warm hospitality and genuine kindness. Not only is he a wonderful host, but he also went above and beyond as our personal tour guide, showing us the true beauty of the island. His deep knowledge, enthusiasm, and personalized recommendations made our experience unforgettable. If you're looking for a place where you feel like family while enjoying breathtaking views and top-notch service, Tropical Paradise View Resort with Primis is the perfect choice!
- Wendy (9/5): So much fun just hanging around the common area and being taken care of by Miss Elvy - A Night in Paradise with Miss Elvy’s Flair
Perched on a hillside, high and grand,
Tropical Paradise, the gem of the land.
In Anse La Raye, with a stunning view,
One lovely night—too short, but true!
The rooms are snug, but just wait and see,
That infinity pool? Pure luxury!
Gazing out where the town meets the bay,
A picture-perfect end to the day.
Now Miss Elvy—oh, what a force!
She does it all, she runs the course.
From meals to rooms, she’s working away,
So sit back, relax—this is island delay!
A feast awaited, what a spread,
Creole shrimp and chicken fed.
Mahi Mahi, plantains fried,
Mac and cheese stacked up beside.
Provisions crisp, potatoes baked,
Not a single bite forsaked!
Piton lager, cold and cheap,
Flowed as stories ran so deep.
With friends from Atlanta, we laughed and dined,
Swapping tales of travel time.
A perfect stay—our hearts do say,
We’ll dream again of Anse La Raye! Nothing
- Carole (8/5): Very pkeasant - Unique property with spacious rooms and comfy beds. Friendly staff and great view. A little isolated so you need a car Soap and tea and coffee in room
- Kayah (6/5): Pleasant - The view was amazing. The garden and yard were gorgeous. The staff was rough amd abrasive to me and my family. The fan in the room wasn't working. A lot of things on the menu were unavailable. The water was cold as the water heater was solar powered.
- Abayomi Allen (10/5): - Thank you for being such a great host! Owner and Staff were wonderful!!!!
- Lavasha (6/5): - I didn’t like the cats on the property and it’s also lots of bugs
- Jesper (8/5): Excellent view - beautiful location quite a way from Anse la Raye - Excellent view from the very nice pool and restaurant area. Nice and spacious room. Anse la Raye is very nice to explore. Breakfast very basic and still took a long time from ordering. The same with dinner.
Unless you like walking (which we do, so not a problem for us :-) you'll need a car, since it's at least half an hours occasionally steep walk to or especially from Anse la Raye.
- Lesley (10/5): - this is St Lucias best home away from home feeling. the view is beyond fantastic, looking down on the seaside village and cove...the hospitality A and the home cooked meals delicious... Yes I woulod absolutely return here
- Greg (8/5): Great view over town and coast with lovely staff - Great view over town and coast. Lovely pool and restaurant area. Friendly staff. Big room. Nice food.
- Jamaal (10/5): - Tropical paradise is the perfect name for this place. Everything was amazing from the customer service, the breathtaking views, to the food, and the cleanliness of the property. Property is not far from main attractions and everyone in the town were friendly and extremely helpful. Most definitely a 10/10. Highly recommended and I would stay again, and again!!
- Verified traveler (4/5): A NOT SO GREAT EXPERIENCE - This property is not as pictured. Extremely hard to get to and find. Overall a disappointment. We left after first night of a five night scheduled stay. Owner was uncooperative in working with us in cancelling our stay. We were inconvenienced by having to book and stay at another property while we were trying to enjoy our vacation. Sure, their rate is low compared to other properties on St. Lucia, but .....
- Klaus (8/5): Nice stop with gorgeous views. - A gorgeous view from the hotel across the bay. Breakfast and dinner on site which was exactly what we wanted on our way from soufriere to Rodney bay. A perfect stop over for us. Anse de Raye which is at the bottom of the hill didn’t seem very inviting.
- Mark (10/5): - As a person that is traveled multiple countries and in the Caribbean, this is by far the best view I’ve ever had at any place I’ve ever stayed you cannot go wrong with the view scratch made food daily for breakfast lunch and dinner is amazing. The staff is so sweet, I honestly can never think them as much as I can for the enjoyable seven days I spent there breathtaking views incredible
- Jim (8/5): Views are worth it! - Incredible views! Friendly staff. Horrible roads to get to it. GPS is off by 1/4 mile.
- Tyler (10/5): - Excellent views and service I would absolutely stay here again
- Penny (6/5): - Not a fancy place but great value compared to the other, bigger resorts. Its in a great, central location. Room was clean and comfortable.
- Iuliia (10/5): Very lovely place. - Very quiet and relaxing.
- Grant (9/5): Just want we were looking for. Not too fancy and local - The view and location Nothing
- gerardo (10/5): Little Gem in Paradise - This boutique hotel is a gem in a less visited area of St Lucia. The place is great if you are seeking beautiful views, a relaxed comfortable atmosphere and a very friendly staff. Wi-fi is reliable and the food offered on site is fresh and homemade, they also cooked tasty pizzas on a wood fire oven. This is a good option to fall in the rhythm of the island, just keep in mind that is not an all inclusive high end resort ready to serve your every need, In my view it is way better because it offers a truer experience with plenty of comfort. The area is a bit remote from the larger towns so you’ll need a car or a good tour person or local driver, the owners are great at offering advice on any of these topics. The nearby village is quaint and there is a lovely hidden cove beach about a 25 min walk from the hotel, just keep in mind it is hilly and in the Caribbean heath those 25 min require some effort. My wife and I loved our stay and hope to return.
- Eric M (10/5): - Staff is very nice, rates are very fair. Our stay was short but we enjoyed it!
- Yasmine (10/5): My stay was great - The view and the atmosphere Everything was ok
- Lucie (10/5): Magical scenery and beautiful hotel that I highly recommend - Amazing hotel with a magic view . Perfect for a relaxing vacation. The pool the restaurant and the beach close by give you the perfect experience of three country side of Sainte Lucia .
The personal is lovely and very helpful that’s a big plus . Very good value 😊 Everything was perfect
- Julian (5/5): Passable -
- Cassandra (10/5): Beyond Beautiful Views & Amazing Owner & Staff - The views are some of the most beautiful and serene that I have ever seen! Primus, the owner, went above and beyond to ensure my mother and I had an amazing stay! We truly enjoyed him taking us around the island, particularly to this amazing vegan bakery! He is one of the kindest people I have ever met, and Mom and I look forward to returning soon. The staff was helpful, too, and it was wonderful to have the option of eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the hotel, as well. I also had a nice massage here, too. Please, do yourself a favor and book your stay asap! Sending love to Primus and the entire staff!
- Nicolas (10/5): - Staff is great and accommodating and have good recommendations. The place is beautiful with an accessible pool. Really enjoy the ease of access to transport and food.
- Kev4real (4/5): Disappointing - It was cozy No kitchenette
- Eli (10/5): - This was fabulous!! The views are unparalleled!!! And the pool is lovely...overlooking a lush valley of farmland and trees... The food is good; and the property is immaculate. I wholeheartedly would stay here again!!
- Linda (10/5): Exceptional - The views and the gardens Nothing
- Alison (8/5): Beautiful property, fantastic views, and great hosts - The view from the Tropical Paradise view is stunning The pool was loved by us all and we used it extensively. Staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was always top class.
- Larry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Charles (10/5): Exceptional - Great location to see top things in St Lucia. Rental car needed to get around. Great value for money. Best for self-catering .
- Simona (8/5): Excellent location with a great view - The pool with view was great. Excellent location to explore the Northern part of the island. Everyone who works there was lovely. Breakfast was very basic
- Kenneth (10/5): Small family run hotel with views of the mountains as well as the Caribbean. - Quiet place with breathtaking views perfect for a short trip on our 53rd wedding anniversary. Nothing to dislike.
- John (8/5): wonderful ambiance - Wonderful staff and owner. We felt very comfprtable and as part of the family. We would definitely stay there again.
However we did not get the room that we paid for, Expedia
specifically stated room #8 it was not available upon our arrival.
- Emily (10/5): A hidden gem - a slice of paradise . - This is truly a little slice of paradise! A hidden gem in the hills by Anse la Raye.
Elvie and Primus run this place wonderfully.
Elviie makes the most delicious home cooked food - a real treat. And spoils all her guests so much. She is always working and attentive to all you need.
Primus is wonderful too and will personally do trips of you don’t have a car.
I also loved my early morning walk with him.
There are beautiful beaches close by and the little village is filled with lovely people - the sweetest people I have had the pleasure of meeting in my 3 trips to St Lucia!
I can’t recommend Tropical Paradise View or Anse La Raye enough!
It’s utterly delightful.
👍🏾❤️👍🏾❤️ Nothing! I thought the pool would be a little bigger but it’s all you need!
The view is stunning
- Kate (9/5): Superb - This hotel is genuinely beautiful in all aspects. It has magnificent views and the gardens are stunning. The whole place is full of new corners to appreciate the surroundings. We were treated so well by all the staff, a particular highlight was the home cooked food - especially the breakfast pancakes
- Nanna (10/5): Really lovely and beautiful place - Very nice and helpfull staff and owner
- Antoine (10/5): Exceptional - I stayed at Tropical Paradise for my anniversary, it was amazing. The room was decorated beautifully, The view was like starring in a fairy tale, the food was delicious....there are very few places in st.lucia that can actually cook a great jerk, hats off to the chef. Overall Tropical Paradise gave us the perfect setting for the anniversary we planned, thank you so much.
- Alice (10/5): Exceptional - This place is just perfect! It has stunning view a of the sea, picturesque Anse La Raye and the lush mountains. Our suite was beautiful. Nestled in their vibrant gardens it was incredibly comfortable too. Primus and Elvie were great hosts. Always happy to help with a smile, they made us feel so at home and Elvie’s cooking was DELICIOUS. When I mentioned I had a sweet tooth she even made a desert especially. It’s touches like that that make us want to go back (if not stay there forever) and to recommend it as a wonderful place to stay in St Lucia.
- Sergiu (1/5): worst experience in 10+years of using Booking - Apparently the location has a good view, we have not seen it as it was dark. Absolutely worst experience I had in 10+ years with Booking! Briefly, we stayed for one hour only, as cleanliness/sanitary conditions were unbearable. Yet we got charged for two days!
Long version: We booked two rooms for two days. 5-7 Jan 2024. Arrived at the property 9:20pm. Staff was unprepared, did not really expect us, facilities weren't clean or ready. Offered to give us rooms that were "next to each other". We entered room 2 and there was horrible a damp, stingy, mold odor. Opened doors and windows with the hope that some fresh air would help but it did not. There was no light in the room, no remote for the air condition, the mirror in the bathroom was stained.
Out of despair, as we couldn't breathe in the room, we left to search some acceptable place. Drove some 15min and literally begged someone to take us in for one night. (as they had closed already). We came back and freed the rooms (where we haven't unpacked) by 10:20pm, one hour after arrival.
Property declined to provide even partial reimbursement for a booking that included breakfast, etc.
This property is to AVOID at all cost! And if anyone knows how to do it, notify any sanitary authority that can stop such facilities from being rented at all..
- Eugenia (8/5): A great stay - What a lovely place! We stayed here for a night with our two young children. The room had air con, tv and two double beds which meant we were very comfortable. The staff made delicious meals for us and were able to take us to our next destination in St Lucia. Although it rained lots our kids still enjoyed using the pool. We wouldn’t hesitate to go back although next time we’d hire a car to explore the area as the hotel is located at the top of a hill. The views are brilliant!
- Roger (4/5): Disappointing. - The owner stated that the room which was paid for on Booking.com was inaccurately described by Booking.com. Tried to downgrade to another room. The room which was eventually provided did not have a working TV and the barking dogs, goats and roosters kept us up throughout the night. Infinity pool was not functioning. Breakfasts were forgettable.
- Robert (10/5): - Owner was very accommodating. Beautiful views at a good price :) thanks!
- Brad (8/5): Very good - The view
- Songul (10/5): Incredible View and Gracious Hosts - Tropical Paradise View is overlooking Anse La Raye village with a incredible view. The room was very comfortable, it was great to wake up with sound of rain and birds the first night. The common area is very comfortable to drink morning coffee and to read.
We felt like we were staying with a relative. Primus made our trip very enjoyable because we went to the island without making any prior arrangements.
Elvy was very accommodating when it comes to our request for breakfast and dinner.
We had hot water during our stay. As long as you are not staying in downtown of any city/village you need transportation in this island, it has nothing to do with the place you are staying. Primus very kind to drive us whenever we needed.
We highly recommend this guest house.
- Chuck (9/5): glad we chose this place. It’s beautiful! - great breakfast would be nice to have a coffee maker in the room, plates, and silverware.
Wait time for meals seemed rather long.
- Franco (8/5): Very good -
- Sharon (4/5): won’t go back - the view no hot water, missing light bulbs, hard to get to, no tv reception
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good Stay for the Cost - Owners were great and very accommodating and breakfast was good, however there was no hot water. Nothing beats the view though!
- Uriahus (10/5): Exceptional - Staff
- Tracey Jane (10/5): - Wonderful alternative to the all-inclusive resorts. Superb value. Clean and comfortable room and the proprietors, Primus and Elvie, are friendly, helpful and they go out of their way to look after their guests
- Jonathan (10/5): Excellent stay in St. Lucia! - This location is amazing. From the views, to the service, to the food, nothing disappointed at Tropical Paradise View. We were treated with the utmost respect, and our host carefully provided us with the necessary information and transportation. Everyone there was friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended!
- Richard (10/5): - The property owners were friendly and very helpful. They shared their knowledge of the island and took care of any requests quickly. The property itself is simple with great landscaping and wonderful views. I would highly recommend this place for people looking for an alternative to the large, all inclusives that are populating the island.
- Christoffer (10/5): vacation in tropical paradise, for sure! - This is such a great location, with one of the best views of the island 😀🌴Middle between Castries and Sofriere, with a close drive to Marigot bay. great hosts, with an excellent service. probably not the most luxurious hotel on the island but very clean and highest.
- Elaine (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (6/5): Memorable - Beautiful picturesque location overlooking a bay Lack of hot water, mosquitoes and inaccessibility if you do not have a rental vehicle
- Neva (8/5): Very good -
- Edward (5/5): Passable -
- Alexis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Barbaravoll (10/5): Exceptional - We had a pleasant stay and a super fun party in the village.
The place is very clean and the name suits well.: the view is fantastic.
The staff and the owner are very nice, they help us and gave us top information and tips.
Thank you
- Joseph (8/5): Very good -
- Eggeling (7/5): It was a lovely introduction to St Lucia. - Good. Staff very helpful and adapted to our needs Directions to find the place were not good. It took us some time to find the actual place. Road there is very steep.
- Desir (10/5): Exceptional -
- Matthew (4/5): - The place was in the middle of being painted when we arrived. The pool area had all sorts of tool strewn across the patio. The room looked ok. The owner was nice. The view was amazing. But we did not feel like smelling paint and being in the middle of a renovation so we found other accommodations. I asked for a refund but they never responded.
- thomas (6/5): Lovely View / Not Too ComfortablE - View was amazing. The owner and family were very nice and very friendly. The facilities are quite modest, but attractive and clean. Do NOT expect hot water. I enjoyed 5 cold showers and 3 slightly warm ones. Oddly, I had to ask for basics like towels, toilet paper, and AC controls...but they were cheerfully provided.
- Surend (2/5): - The staff (the woman in-charge) she was okay when we first got there. She had no breakfast arrangements for us, meaning she didn't get any of the local products to make the breakfast, which was understandable because of the pandemic and not enough traffic. What i do not understand is when she saw me having breakfast from somewhere else at the poolside, she was very rude and disrespectful to me and my family stating, "the policy of the hotel is that we cannot bring in outside food and eat it in the common area" so my response was, you do not have any sort of breakfast or anything to provide. Why you making a big deal about us having something to eat? Another issue with her, she went in our room and took the AC off while my daughter was in the room. The locks on the room door was not working and i could not lock mt door. I checked out that day and stayed somewhere else... worst experience ever!!
- Cathy (10/5): - Primus and Elvie were amazing. This was like staying with family. Excellent food and service. Amazing views and atmosphere. Primus was very accommodating and the best tour guide. Would highly recommend staying with them!!! 👌❤️
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Beautiful view from this property over looking Anse La Raye and the Caribbean Sea. Location is too far to walk to town and no taxi service in this small village so ensure you have a vehicle. We were exhausted walking down to the village going over the rolling steep hills. It would be extremely difficult for most to walk back up these hills. Transportation by the owners of hotel from property to Marigot Bay which is 7.3 km was going to cost $75 USD for 3 of us ($25 USD each) to go there and get a ride back. Worth staying here a day or two with no vehicle to unwind and sit at infinity pool and enjoy the view but as no stores or restaurants nearby it is much harder to comfortably stay longer without a vehicle.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This property is beautiful in color and location. There is an amazing view of the ocean and mountains and the the owners are so welcoming a delightful to talk to. I got to enjoy authentic St Lucia cuisine and meet some wonderful people.
