The door cannot be locked from inside the room.The corridors abd common areas were always with an odd smell, like cooking oil. Overall will recommend ONLY if there are no other places to stay

My background of engineering came in handy to maneuver it back, but it was quite a harrowing experience. The toilet seat was broken and fastened with some woodscrews!

• Harish (8/5): Very good - Rooms were clean and spacious The reception Executive was helpful. The official entrance of the hotel is not good as it is beside a highly polluted lake. It used to smell bad while walking for a cab for pickup and drop. Luckily the hotel building is 200 meters away from the road, so it doesn't smell in the room.
• Andras (7/5): OK for a short transit and to see the sights. - Nice, spacious room and very helpful reception staff. They allowed us to check in very early at no cost. Simple, fresh, tasty south-Indian breakfast. Comfortable, clean beds. The furniture in the corridors and in the room was a little faded, but the beds were fine. The pool is out of commission. The name "Fort" is misleading as it is far from Golconda (30 min. taxi) or the old city (40 min taxi). The entrance is hidden, and drivers have a hard time finding it. The river is filthy and smelly. There are no restaurants or supermarkets close by.

• Balaiah (7/5): Not great not bad either - Towing heavy luggages from the main road upto the reception is the most uncomfortable part for the aged people since we had to cross many steps in between. Ramps will ease the problems to a great extent

Due to some water pipeline issue, there was no water in the property the day I landed, and I could not even flush the toilet! I left for my work after 2 hours of hearing that water was being pumped. There are a few cockroaches that encroached into the room creating some sleep disturbance.
• Baba (2/5): will not recommend - 1) No wifi on 3rd floor for first day, changed to 2nd floor for wifi only. 2) However, the wall with the TV was damp and possibly had mold or will eventually have mold. I took pics of this. 3) Staff doesn't clean common areas from food left outside by guests. 2 days straight saw food left outside in the hallways, took pics of this too 4) Hot water and water pressure are not consistent and can actually be dangerous see above

We stayed in the small room... some might find it a little tight.. but it was okay for us. Really nice breakfast spread. Only downer is that there was a little musty or damp smell in our room. Just a little whenever we entered. Other than that it was great.

It is ideally situated for visiting the many sights in Rome as it is just round the corner from the station and the hop on/off on busses.
