Guest Reviews
- Gerry (9/5): Would definitely recommend. - Great location within the old walls. Comfortable and very clean accommodations. Excellent attention and assistance from Srdjana who made a special trip to bring us extra coffee pods. Very satisfied with our stay at this property. Nothing worth mentioning.
- Teresa (9/5): Quiet room in Old Town - Well situated in a quiet location towards the edge of the Old Town. Easy to walk to everywhere in the Old Town and to the local buses near Pile Gate. Also only about 10 mins walk from the airport drop off at Ploce Gate.
There are about 40 stone steps to the front door. Once inside it’s another flight of stairs which are steep but normal width. The host was great in responding promptly to messages and manages the tourist registration for guests. Nothing. All good.
- Francesco (10/5): Tre giorni in centro a Dubrovnik - Tutto perfetto, pulizia e posizione ottime.
Ritornerei sicuramente qui Nulla
- Gabriel (10/5): Great location, great apartment and best for those who want to stay in Old Town. - The apartment is very modern, well furnished and spacious. The location itself is secluded and quiet but tucked right in the heart of Old Town. The check in was very easy and clear. Very private feeling the location.
- George (10/5): You’re in the Old Town! - Basic but fully functioning room with air conditioning, fridge, kettle, large comfy bed, super quiet, hot water, strong shower, and clean. Minutes from restaurants, tours pick up point, shop with water etc, restaurants, and laundry service (do clothes in 3 hours). Responsive host. Steps and stairs to apartment only, so not good for people with mobility issues.
- Phoebe (9/5): Superb - We have a smaller unit upstairs with a comfortable double bed and ensuite. There were two small chairs and a coffee table. The location was excellent, in old town Dubrovnik only a few minutes walk from the Pile Gate.
Check in was easy (lock box) and the host was flexible and allowed us to keep our luggage stored following check out as our ferry wasn’t until 3pm. Note that there are stairs to get into the upstairs unit.
- Kaz (8/5): Great location and beautifully clean - The location in the old town was wonderful. It was nice and quiet but still central.
It was beautifully clean and had a nice modern bathroom with a good shower.
The owner was very responsive and helpful Even though I knew there was stairs to the room I didn’t expect how small, steep and dangerous the internal ones to my room were.
It was impossible for me to get my suitcase up and down them safely.
Lucky I managed to get help and the owner arranged this for my check out.
- Chie (10/5): Exceptional - The room was very clean and spacious, and it was very comfortable.
The location was also the best. It was a bit difficult to climb up the stairs with a suitcase.
- Cassandra (9/5): Superb -
- Pauline (7/5): Best to check about steps before confirming stay. - The washing machine was useful. & laundry pods were provided too👍 The welcome Prosecco was a nice touch. Perhaps a bottle of water will be helpful too. Apartment is nicely appointed but a challenge with luggage for flight of steps to the main gate then another flight of narrow steps in the building to access room. A sofa bed would make more sense than regular sofa. The coffee machine is a good idea but of no use for transient tourist if no coffee pods are provided as the shops sell large boxes which is of no use to buy.
- Jean (9/5): Superb -
- David (10/5): Really great apartment! - This apartment was so cute, comfortable, and really clean. It had everything you could need. It is in a great location close to the Pile gate but is at the end of a quiet street. There are amazing views from the bedroom window. The manager told us the building is from the late 1600"s. Everything was great. Highly recommend!
- David (9/5): Quiet, spacious apartment in Old Town with comfortable bedding, and large, very clean bathroom - Wonderful stay in a quiet section of Old Town; spacious room with large bathroom…even provided a bottle of wine as a welcome surprise at checkin As expected, lots of stairs to reach the apartment (which really can’t be avoided in Old Town)
- Ken (9/5): Superb -
- Eslam (9/5): Superb -
- Margo (9/5): Great apartment. Excellent location. Helpful host. - Location was great. Quiet. Comfortable. Great shower. Having a washing machine was great. We were forewarned so it wasn’t a problem but the stairs going up to the apartment , inside, are very steep. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone with mobility issues.
- Kenjiro (7/5): Good -
- Rebecca (10/5): Highly Recommend Rooms Andro - Everything! The people were wonderful to work with and responded quickly to texts. Rooms Andro are very close to the Pile Gate of the city. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable.
- Theodora (9/5): The apartment is excellently located next to Onofrios Fountain and offers a pleasant panoramic view - The apartment is excellently located next to Onofrio's Fountain and offers a pleasant panoramic view of the Minceta Tower from the bedroom. The owner is communicative and easy to reach.
However, it's worth noting that there are a few steep stairs leading to the house, which I find easily reachable. The internal wooden staircase is steep, so it may not be suitable for elderly individuals or those with mobility issues.
The flat has two a/c, one in each room, and working perfectly. The room was clean and renovated, in excellent condition. Everything was wonderful. The flat was clean and renovated, in an excellent location, and next to all attractions. It might be worth improving access to the upper floor unit.
- Roderick (7/5): Enjoyed Dubrovnik but expensive - It had a rustic charm For older people it was not suitable. Fortunately we are fit and able but it was hard work to access with luggage. The inside staircase was extremely steep to carry up luggage. Also a map of how to get there would have been useful as we were walking around for quite a while looking. Google did not work well.
- Marcus (8/5): Very good -
- Sandra (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (10/5): Loved the apartment - Perfect
- Sandra (9/5): Superb -
- Melanie (9/5): Perfect location to explore old town - The location was perfect - right next to the pile gate, great access to everything. Nice and quiet and safe. The bed was comfortable, bathroom was good. Chocolates and bottle of wine on arrival. Host was helpful and gaining keys was effortless. Terrace was nice to enjoy evenings away from the crowds Room was slightly more basic than expected. Stairs were steep. Otherwise, no complaints.
- Ezgi (9/5): Superb -
- Sokol (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing Location,amazing views
- Michelle (8/5): Great quiet apartment close to centre - Lovely room, nice and secluded, felt safe and secure and away from busy main street Lack of bin facilities and cleaning things for cups/glasses since there was no kitchen area. Storage was also slightly lacking
- Rachel (8/5): Compact, clean, great host , lots of stairs! - Location fantastic, host very accommodating, secure, very clean More kitchen items, only a couple of utensils, no plates , no chopping board or good knife, no dishcloth or dish liquid to wash up or clean spills. Fridge was not cold, needs replacing. Small but comfortable
- Angela (10/5): Great value. Great location. - Great location. Clean and affordable
- M (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic location (right near the entrance to old town but very quiet) and great communication! Apartment had everything we needed and would 100% recommend to a friend!
Do note that the interior stairs are very steep, as others have commented, so may not be the best for anyone with mobility issues.
- Karen (10/5): Nice stay in Dubrovnik - Nice, clean, great air con, reasonable sized comfortable room. I think if you had any mobility issues though you would find the inside staircase to the room very difficult. Nice little courtyard and close to the action! Lovely and helpful host :-) Nothing
- Paige (6/5): the stairs were a nightmare. location makes it worthwhile - very clean and tidy. check in instructions were clear and location was good and quiet in old town. we stayed in one of the smaller rooms and it felt quite spacious considering we have been staying in places that felt claustrophobic. wine was given upon arrival which was lovely THE STAIRS!! wasn’t prepared for the number of stairs to get to the room considering we had to carry heavy luggage. probably wouldn’t have booked the room knowing this. also the room got super hot and the aircon would take a while to cool the room down however doesn’t reach the bathroom so was super hot in there.
- Jennifer (8/5): Very good -
- Scott (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect location just inside the city walls and close to the fountain, but far enough away to be really quiet
- Michelle (9/5): Great value, central, clean. - Location is ideal, right within Old Town and therefore close to a bus stop. Quiet at night. Very clean. Like many places in Old Town this apartment is up a lot of steps, but this was made known beforehand.
- Molly (9/5): Superb - Nice and spacious room. Not a negative but you had to climb very steep stairs to get to the room. Difficult with big luggage.
- Tess (10/5): Exceptional - Staff were easy to contact and helpful. Room was spotless and a good size. Very close to the old town but couldn't hear the noise which was great. Highly recommend
- Michelle (8/5): Very good - I got extremely sick during my stay and the owner allowed us late check out to accommodate this. This was extremely appreciative and really kind considering the situation. We'd stay here again without hesitation. Nice and quiet location.
- Cindy (9/5): Clean, spacious and great location. - Great location near Pile Gate, quite a few stairs but we managed with 2 suitcases. This is the case with most accomodation in Old Town Dubrovnik.
Host was super easy to communicate with and responded immediately when needed.
Left a bottle of wine on arrival. Very clean and spacious room.
- Marijke (9/5): Well managed apartment in excellent location. - Tucked away in the old city - very cosy and private Access stairs not easy for people with a lot of luggage. Internal stairs very steep. Not good for anyone with injuries or balance issues.
- Hannah (9/5): Excellent room, would recommend - Amazing location, easy check in instructions, great value for money. very secure. only complaint is that there is only one pillow per person and would have loved another!
- Santiago (8/5): Very good -
- Page (10/5): Was perfect, would definitely book again. - The location was perfect within Old Town, tucked away down a quiet street, and a walking distance within everything.
Very modern and spacious Appartement. The room can get quite hot.
- Travel (9/5): Superb - Great location, close to the main gate and not too many stairs. Also quiet. Loved that there was a separate sheet provided and not just a doona/blanket. There was a kettle, but no power point in the cupboard it was in. Also bowls which was great, but no spoons (for cereal), only forks.
- Antonina (10/5): Quiet, spacious room in the heart of old town - very special find! - Excellent room in an outstanding location- right in old town, but on a quiet side street. Perfect to be in the center of the action, but absolutely quiet for an afternoon nap. couldn’t have been happier with this place! The host was lovely, responsive and made my stay exceptional. Everything was excellent! I had missed a few small details that weren’t a deal breaker for me, but I hadn’t quite planned for: taxis don’t go into old town (so there was a very short, easy 4 min walk with my baggage), about 1 flight of stairs to reach the building and no coffee/tea or bath soap provided. There was a small amount of shampoo/conditioner and hand soap. This was mentioned in the details for the apt, but I had missed it.
- Sheila (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peta (9/5): Great open place in lovely location with obliging staff and up to clean standards. - Simple and functional, clean and bright and quiet. Small shower (husband is over 6 feet tall) and beds were far too firm like boards--very uncomfortable.Kitchen couyld use more supplies besides salt and pepper.
- Mikael (8/5): Very good - location was great
- Dean (10/5): Great property, had everything we needed, location perfect, highly recommend. - Excellent location, quiet with lovely views Nothing
- Mauri (9/5): Superb -
- Heather (10/5): excellent location to everything with a great bed and shower - location close to Pile gate and entrance to the wall 60 degree stairs to room need more garbages and microwave with taller table
- Karen (10/5): Absolutely amazing stay, after a long day sightseeing great to go back to relax. Host was very helpful and communicated - Clean, spacious, well equipped apartment in the most perfect position in the old city. Nothing to dislike
- Sarah (9/5): Great stay, - Great location within city walls. Comfortable and clean with helpful host. Kindly left a bottle of wine as a gift for us and necessary information. Great air con, great wifi, looking out on city walls. We didn't book room with a kitchen but bowls and cutlery were provided which allowed us to have breakfast there. Great little courtyard area we used to have a beer at end of day. There were chairs in room which was good but a taller table would have been better than the coffee table. Nothing, it worked well for us. There were quite a lot of stairs to reach the property but this is usual for Old Town for accommodation and restaurants. We enjoyed the exercise but if steps are an issue for you, avoid old town.
- John (10/5): Exceptional - In the midst of old Dubrovnik clean functional superbly located. An excellent apartment. Bottle of wine left by owner as a welcome and greatly appreciated. Great sized room. I cannot fault this apartment just exceptional
- Stuart (10/5): great choice you won’t be disappointed - clean, great room, shower, kitchen and lounge . had cable but didn’t use it. surprisingly next to outdoor cinema. had double glazed windows and aircon. gyreat view Dom bedroom window towards bell tower. like everywhere steps up to apartment and the more steps to top floor but we’ll worth the effort.
- Lara (9/5): perfect location! - great location. nice staff shower could be better
- Sofia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Laura (10/5): perfect location and quiet - perfect location, in the old city but very quiet. everything perfect!
- Cl (9/5): Dubrovnik The host: Although he communicates via Booking.com chat, we found his responses very prompt. We appreciate - very good location, convenient, relatively flat ground to the apartment except for last 2 flight of steps which are manageable for us who are in our 60s. very clean, well maintained and very comfortable. very responsive host.
- jonnotgeoff (10/5): A perfect stay in a perfect location - A wonderful and faultless choice of apartment for our 3 night stay in Dubrovnik . The shuttle bus from the airport dropped us off at pile gate which you enter majestically into the old city with a short and easy to find 3 minute walk to the apartments were we warmly welcomed at the time we gave of our arrival.
We had a comfort room which was spacious and spotless and thankfully blessed with air conditioning !! . . There is a small terrace with table and chairs at the front with impressive views of the wall and tower. There is also a small " grotto " type room covered and cool which strangely enough was part of a old cathedral ceiling with the vaults and stonework still remaining .
The apartments location is quiet and away from the bustle as its surrounded up to the city walls just above by ruins. A few stairs will take you down back into the heart of the old city.
Very friendly owners and the whole stay was a joy .
- spacemanspiff007 (10/5): Very well located, short easy walk from Pile Gate - As I started looking for a place to book, i saw lots of comments from guests of various hotels and apartments that complained about the numbers of stairs they needed to climb each day to get from place to place in the city. So I was careful to choose a place inside the walled city that wasn't located on the high side of the town.
While in a flat area, this apartment is at the end of a street and up a modest set of stairs. Shouldn't be at all onerous for most people, but anyone with mobility issues should take note. It was very convenient for a 3 day visit, where most of the tourist highlights are within walking distance. There's a small terrace at the entrance, and a large covered outdoor area adjacent as well, so it'd be ideal for reading on a sunny day.
Meeting for check-in took a little bit coordination, as the booking is managed by a third party booking agency. Thus, the owner doesn't get your messages immediately, and they can't contact you directly either. So you need to relay messages through the agency, whether SMS or email. It wasn't too bad, but we did have to wait an extra 20 or so minutes longer than expected for the owner to arrive. Also, the agency forgot to inform the owner that we wanted the set up with two twin beds instead of one king, so she had to rearrange the beds upon arrival.
The room itself was quite small (just enough for two beds and a table), but had more amenities that you would expect for an apartment type place. Beer in the mini fridge, coffee, tea, shampoos, soaps, and even disposable slippers. The bathroom was exceptionally clean and the shower was strong, with lots of hot water.
If I were in Dubrovnik again, I'd stay here again.
- bronteb971 (6/5): Great location but - Be very careful which room you book. We booked the "standard room" and it is tiny, so not a room to relax in.Location is s great, owners were more than helpful and the security is exceptional. You need to be aware of the stairs, and whilst that is the go in Dubrovnik, the last set to the standard room is quite narrow.
- Gloriaecoli (4/5): Confusing on Booking - Booked via Hotel.com for end of May 2018; and as soon as I confirmed booking, a Broker Direct agent sent email to say that hotel calender not synchronize with booking portal, it was a mistake and Rooms Andro not available (which is 13 months from now!). Double check to make sure they are not confusing for May 2017, as well as other room type on Room Andro, the answer is FULLY BOOKED in end of May 2018.
4 days after I cancel my booking at hotel.com, Rooms Andro (all 3 room types) still shows up available for booking at Hotel.com! If it was a mistake and they have to request customers to cancel the bookings, they do not bother to fix the website issue with Hotel.com which may confuse other customers.
Even if I end of not staying there, the customer service of this property is very unorganized.
- WendyBramhall (8/5): In the heart of Dubrovnik - Fabulous find in the heart of Dubrovnik. Spacious, modern and spotlessly clean!
This is perfect for a couple of nights stay, there's a short walk from the drop off point and up a good few steps, so don't pack huge heavy bags!
Fab welcome from the owner and they basically leave you to it.
Highly recommend staying here
Hint : if you like your cuppa in the morning bring your own sachets they only provide 2 for your stay and the hair dryer isn't that great.
- Dinodiligaffer (10/5): Enjoyable Stay - The owners were most friendly & hospitable. The room we stayed in was very tastefully furnished & comfortable. The house had once been a monastery and it has a rustic feel andf charm about it. If you want to live like one of the locals in the old city, this is the place to be.
