• E. (8/5): Centrale ligging op Gamla Stan - Centrale ligging in het oude Gamla Stan, dichtbij opstapplaats boten, verhuur fietsen, heerlijk en goed verzorgd ontbijt. Het appartement (1e verdieping) was eenvoudig, maar prima. Wel wat gehorig, kerk- en straatgeluid.

• SallyO (10/5): - The hotel across the road where you check in and where breakfast is served is gorgeous with antiques all around you. The apartment was also beautifully decorated, spacious, clean and comfortable. It had a washing machine and the heating dried everything really quickly. The staff were lovely, they stored our luggage before check-in and ordered us a taxi to the train station when we were leaving. The breakfast was delicious and had a wide selection of foods. Yoghurts and juices were in glass containers, no plastic anywhere. Fantastic and really thoughtfully done. The location in Gamla Stan, just a few steps from the royal palace and Storkyrkan was ideal. I'd recommend getting a cab from the train station in winter if you have heavy luggage. The walk from the metro station is a challenge with the cobbles and snow. But the location is truly worth the effort. Nothing at all

• Vanessa (9/5): - A beautiful cosy 1 bedroom apartment, with everything you need. The location was perfect to walk everywhere, and staff were very friendly and efficient. The stairs to apartment number 6 are circular so it would’ve be a good choice for anyone who can’t carry luggage up and down.

• Susan (10/5): - We stayed in the Casandra apartment across the street from the main hotel and absolutely loved it. Being there for a week, we so enjoyed having space to spread out. Everything was clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet provides a nice mix of items. The staff at the desk and breakfast are friendly and helpful. The proximity to all Gamla Stan has to offer cannot be beat.

• Linda (9/5): Very pleasant, inner city location and facilities. - The location is worth a score of 110%. Right in the Old Town is Stockholm, walking distance to the CBD and Central station, the location has everything. Everything in the kitchen works. The washing machine is good, with a drying rack provided. The windows look out over a somewhat busy street. A sheer curtain would be useful for allowing in light while screening the interior of the apartment from view of the upper hotel rooms across the road. The bathroom light is sensor activated so while using the shower, the light goes off. Fortunately there’s enough ambiant light to get by until you step out of the shower and the light comes back on.
• Susan (7/5): Location 10/10 - apartment needs returning to its original decor / furniture or new photos taking.. - The top floor 'attic' apartment over the road from the Hotel was a good size and the location can't be beaten. Although Gamla Stan is clearly a popular part of Stockholm, by night it was quiet outside the apartment and the beds were comfortable so we slept well. The bathroom was an excellent size with a washing machine that operated a 15 mins wash which was perfect for us as staying over 7 days with hand luggage only. Breakfast was tasty and varied and always refreshed as items ran out. There is a lift to the floor below Room 6 the attic apartment. However, if a guest has claustrophobia at all, the 1m x 75cm space may be a bit much. Also 2 persons with large suitcases may struggle. We were fine with it and grateful to not have to use the stairs going up. Having 7 nights in one place meant we were able to experience the city, its environs and outer islands eg Vaxholm, also eating out at many excellent venues including the restaurant at the Modern Museum - great views and a varied menu we can recommend it. The interior of the apartment was not as the photos online on Booking.com and other sites. There is no red sofa but a grey sofa bed which was rather hard to sit on. The Armchair (which may have been another option for a comfortable seat) had been taken away and replaced with a large white cupboard which has a single pull out bed. There is no 'low lighting/lamp' leaving only harsh ceiling lights. Other furniture had been removed, which meant the traditional, cosy and comfortable aspect is now completely lost and the space lacks character. This produced an instant feeling of disappointment on arrival. There was no change-over of bed linen during our week long stay as stated in the information book, but I guess we could have requested it and we did find spare towels stored away ready for extra guests, should the sofa bed or pull out bed be needed. Usually when checking out one is asked how things were and did we enjoy our stay at which point we could have reported that the shower head was broken on our arrival (but we had come up with a work-around as we didn't want to be inconvenienced during our stay) - we just handed over the keys and were reminded we had to pay for two cappuccinos from our first breakfast. 90KR. Other than that staff had said hello each morning and breakfast service was efficient and staff friendly.

Ericka at the front desk was very professional & help with an alarm issue. Stockholm was a great city to visit. Will return in the future.

The apartment has every modern amenity and was centrally located to everything in Gamla Stan and easy access to all public transportation to the rest of Stockholm. Highly recommended!

• Michele (8/5): Excellent comfortable stay. - Great location in the old part of the city, comfortable bed and the room decor had a sumptuous feel. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices. All the staff were very helpful and friendly with tips on where visit and things to do. Metro/subway just down the lane at Munkbroteden with an excellent small supermarket on the way in. My travel was both work and leisure, I had emails to send and documents to edit. I also had problems with the wifi. It did work but intermittently and I had to keep logging in. I would have preferred a kettle in my room. Otherwise all good!
• Robyn (10/5): Stay there, it’s great! - We loved our apartment. The location is amazing. Your neighbour is the kings Palace! Everything is close and easy to get to in Gamla Stan but also it’s a short walk to the Central Station and ferries. The apartment is spacious and had a good selection of cooking utensils if you chose to self cater. Breakfast is across the street in the hotel, which was very good. Special thanks to Klara on reception- she was very helpful when my husband was unwell. It’s not about the hotel/apartment- after all certain time taxis/ubers cannot come to the door. It’s a very easy walk to a spot where they will pick you up. It is not a problem.

Very cosy with great views of the city and the nearby church tower. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast (included, and provided in the hotel's dining area just across the street) was delicious.
• Helen (8/5): Quiet, warm and a fabulous location for exploring Stockholm 😀 - Perfect location for exploring Gamla Stan and Stockholm in general. Lovely historic building (we had the ground-floor apartment right opposite the main hotel). Our apartment was spacious, nicely decorated and warm. Bed was really comfortable, and there's a sofabed too. Really quiet during the day and at night. I thought what we paid for a five-night stay was very reasonable, so overall it suited us really well. The breakfast buffet was lovely, lots of choice and great coffee. The shower room was clean and warm (underfloor heating came on once or twice) but the shower did leak under the door so had to keep a towel on the floor to mop it up. There was a rather unpleasant smell coming from somewhere in the shower room, which spread out to the kitchen area and a bit into the bed/sitting room. Drains in an old building? Not sure, but definitely needs sorting out. The coffee machine was hard to use as it kept leaking.

The breakfast was also very very good and in a very pretty room.The hotel has a lovely courtyard. The location in Gamla Stan was also ideal for staying in Stockholm. • Robert (9/5): Stockholm was a highlight of our 7 week Scandinavian tour. - The apartment was spacious, the kitchen adequate for some self catered meals. The location could not have been better, being on the edge of the Old Town, adjacent to the Royal Palace and a short walk to attractions in the centre of the modern city. The included breakfast was excellent. The historical character of the hotel buildings made the stay more interesting for us than a more luxurious modern hotel would have been. There was little storage for clothes, etc, had to live out of our suitcases which had to be left on the floor. But there was plenty of space for that. There was no provision for hanging damp towels in the bathroom, but there was a drying rack for laundry which could be used but took up a lot of space. The TV could only receive subscription Chanels, not being familiar with these it was a struggle for us to use.

The breakfast provided in the hotel next door was exceptionally nice. The apartment was wonderfully located right by the Royal Palace and the old town. It was very quiet despite being on a busy road. The bathroom was lovely, but the kitchen and laundry area seemed a little bit ramshackle which was not in keeping with the rest of the accommodation. We eventually got the hang of the rather unusual washing machine.

• Regan (9/5): Great place to stay in Stockholm - The location for the apartments is phenomenal. We were right next to the Old Town square and we were easily able to navigate the city and walk where we wanted to go. The apartment was spacious and clean and the staff were super helpful. Lots of great cafes all around the area as well. There was a coffee maker, but no coffee- easily remedied but would have been nice to have it there for us. We got in after a long flight and didn’t check until the next morning so, if you stay- get your supplies before turning in for the night! Also, Keep in mind, if you are staying here, you WILL hear the bells. They didn’t bother us, but if you are a light sleeper- just be aware.

• Koichi (10/5): Highlight of our Scandinavian trip - We stayed in the apartment across from the hotel, on the very top floor (only one small flight of steps after the elevator). We were right next to the 13th century Storkyrkan tower, but the bells every 15 min. can barely be heard in winter. Nice skyline views from the windows. Very cozy, great shower, perfect beds and pillows (although you must be careful about bumping your head on the slanted ceiling). Location could not be better. Breakfast is in the hotel, and very nice.

Check in at 4 pm is beyond gruelling for trans Atlantic travellers. We had been travelling for 22 hours by the time we were finally in our room.

• Andrew (8/5): Enjoyable stay - Location was amazing. Size of space was much larger than i was expecting. laundry machine was a nice plus. Kitchen was great to have. We cooked dinner a number of evenings which let us relax. Hotel staff were professional and kind. Major items: 4pm check-in is rough when traveling long distance from North America. Got in at 6a with no sleep. Couldn't check in for 10 hours. The property indicated it was out of their hands as the cleaning company is who determines when the rooms are ready. The check in time was posted when we made the reservation. So maybe it was our fault. At the same time i think it's a really late check in for North American travelers and if it could be adjusted would improve the experience a ton. Also when we asked it felt like little was done to try to get us checked in earlier. Bathroom could have been cleaned better. We felt it necessary to go buy cleaning supplies and clean it ourselves before using the shower. Minor items: No elevator to get to 3rd floor apartment. Pull out couch not comfortable, hard to get a good night's rest. 9 channels of tv.. or we didn't know how to work the tv.

• Jacquelin (8/5): A central location to make you feel at home in Gamla Stan - Our apartment was situated right off the main square -- a great location and central to nearly everything Gamla Stan has to offer. The building itself was classic fitting right in with the Gamla Stan style. (Note that the apartments are accessed via a narrow spiral staircase.) The kitchen was updated with relatively new appliances (though we didn't use all of them) and we appreciated the washer/dryer combo. The main bedroom was quite large, enough for four people to fit comfortably. The staff at the main hotel were pleasant and helpful, even providing recommendations for great fika in the neighborhood. The apartments use an unprotected wi-fi network which could be a worry if you're doing any sensitive computer work as we did. It also required us to log in again and again after a certain number of hours. (This isn't true in the hotel, I believe, only in the apartments.) The noise could get quite loud due people talking beneath the windows on the street late at night and early morning trash pick up. It's definitely a trade off for the central location. Some of the furnishings could use updating, for example, the rugs were threadbare and worn.

• Marina (7/5): Good - Location is good. This hotel is non-refundable less than 48 hours before your stay. We were charged for 2 nights, but we stayed only one night because our flight was cancelled. Our room was in a different building, and the staff did not help us find it and gave us unclear directions. We had to go back and ask them for help again because we were unable to find it. The building doesn’t have an elevator .

• Kristin (10/5): Supersentralt, stor enkel leilighet - Perfekt beliggenhet midt i Gamla Stan- gangavstand til «alt». Leilighetene ligger i en annen bygning enn hotellet. Ingen heis i bygget. Leiligheten er gammel med gammel innredning, men sengene virket ny. Stor leilighet med god plass både på rom og ellers. Gammelt bad og kjøkken, men vi trivdes selv om det var enkel standard. Beliggenheten og at den var romslig veiet opp. Kan absolutt bo her igjen. Personalet var veldig hyggelig og imøtekommende:-)

Hotellet oplyser i præsentationen INTET om hvor lejlighederne ligger. Ejheller at den ene ligger på 4.sal. Oplyser heller ikke, at rengøring koster 500 ekstra. Morgenmad er ikke inkluderet, men kan tilkøbes for ca. 200 SKR pro persona. Så skal man med fra 4. sal, gå til hotellet og tilbage igen. Går ud fra at disse apartments mest bruges af 6 personers rejseselskaber. Der er et rimeligt udstyret køkken, dog uden saks! Sovesofaen i stuen har en ret alvorlig fejl - mobiler og tablets kan ryge ned i en sprække, hvorefter man er nødt til at løfte den absurd tunge sofa for at redde sine ejendele. Varmen kommer og går. Der er i teorien elvarme, men den virker ikke i soverummet. TV har det med at falde ud med jævne mellemrum. I badet har man ikke længe gidet stille shampoo og badesæbe ind. Øjensynlig har man ment, at de 4 tuber med CINDITIONER nok var noget, der kunne bruges til bad, Når man sammenligner med Lady Hamilton hotellets vanlige standard må jeg konstatere, at deres Apartments ikke er prisen værd. Find hellere et helt andet hotel.

We were so happy to have stayed in the apartment floor of the hotel. It will be more ideal if house keeping service could be arranged every 2 to 3 days. The apartment is fairly large for the location - lovely large windows and ceilings. Nice linens and beds. Modern/clean kitchen. And the location is steps from the palace, shops and great bakeries. I felt lucky to have found this place and would stay there again.

Winding stairs to third floor made for heavy trip with luggage but once up the stairs were not a problem. Staff at hotel were very helpful even though it was at a different location. Real close to central train station, all the sites and shopping. The area shuts down by 9 at night which seemed odd for tourist spot.

• Verified traveler (10/5): - Our apartment was in a great central location on Gamla Stan. Loads of room and charm in this well appointed accommodation. Contact with the hotel was prompt and friendly and the staff were great. Late checkout was standard. No lift in the building though so probably not suitable for anyone not able to manage steep winding stairs.

Great for longer stays with a washer and the kitchen! Very quiet street in Gamla Stan, very close to so many tourist spots, restaurants, and shops. Loved the bell towers ringing. The circular stairwell was a little tricky but quaint.
• James (8/5): Very convenient and very comfortable - We had a little problem with our room's availability (plumbing repairs necessitated us staying in a regular room for a night) While just a minor inconvenience (because we were tired from 14 hours of flying) the hotel did a nice job of accommodating us. When we did get into our apartment, it was spacious and practical. A little noisy because you are right by the church bells but you tend to get used to it. And be forewarned that if you get the top apartment, you have to navigate a narrow stairway from the tiny elevator. If you arent so inclined to make that trek - especially with luggage, then make sure you request something other than the top apartment. However, once you are there, its really nice to have that kind of living space.
• Barclay S. (10/5): great location - This apartment was comfortable and extremely well located near the main square of the old town. Our family of four had a nice stay. It was a warm week, so sleeping on the couch with the windows open was a little noisy; however, the warm temperatures were unusual.
