- 138nahidm (10/5): Great Experience! Great Staff! Thanks Sabrin - Great experience at travelodge. I like the location just a shame there isnt much parking around the hotel. Other than parking the staff and branch were great! Thanks to Sabrin who was very professional and helpful enough to suggest a car park off edgeware road called CitiPark.
- martinbZ2252XR (2/5): Worst experience I have had in a travello - Worst Travelodge I have stayed at. Tried checking in at 5 pm and room was not ready. Had to wait while staff spoke to each other in a foreign language so I could not understand what they said. They both spoke fluent english. Fire alarm went off at 3 am disturbing sleep, I presume it was a false alarm as was turned off almost immediately. The hot water was only tepid even when turned fully to hot and the shower was cold. One lift was out of order and the other had no light in. I would not want to stay there again.
- E8013AHisabellep (4/5): Terribly nights' sleep wet feet! - I had a single room and it was right by the lift. The noise through the night was terrible, though I don't know if it was the lift. The staff agreed to change my room but couldn't offer anything different. They told me that I wasn't the only person to complain. Everyone does about those rooms and you need a superior double to get any peace through the night. Sombody emptying loads of bottles into the bins below my room in the early hours of the morning didn't help either.
- 504mustafaa (8/5): Solo stay for one night - Great location. Reasonable price. Very clean room. A bit noisy outside the building, but overall good value for money.
- michellekC3641CB (10/5): Lovely hotel - Lovely hotel with great service. Kurian was especially kind and helpful.
- johnwH6886FO (10/5): GREAT STAY GREAT STAFF - Great Stay and great staff! Would recommend if someone needs a hotel in the heart of central london!
- CaroleS1417 (6/5): Work conference visit - Hotel room was clean
One lift was out of order the other lift had no light so was in pitch black darkness when you used it
I stayed on the first floor and there was a fowl smell on the corridor outside my room
Staff were friendly and helpful
Very convenient for Marylebone train station
However probably would not stay here again.
- Mummy06_11 (2/5): Poor customer service, dirty rooms with writing on the walls. No lights in the 1 working lift! - Worst hotel I have ever stayed in!
- O3925XUjp (2/5): Avoid this place - I can easily describe this as the worst hotel stay I’ve ever had. Upon arrival we got told that there was no duvets available as “they had been stolen by the previous guests” even though we had two separate rooms on completely different floor. The only alternative offered were as many bed sheets as we needed. Then when I got into the room it felt like I’d stepped into a prison cell for the evening, the room was tiny, dated and the bed right underneath a window that was letting cold air straight in. When I put my bag on the bed I realised that there was a white substance on the sheets that still looked fresh which made me feel completely disgusted by the prospect of having to sleep in a bed where there’s clearly been no attempt to clean the room whatsoever. The bathroom was one big wet room and after I’d showered I had to leave a towel on the floor so that I could use the toilet without standing on a soaking wet floor. Luckily I had ear plugs with me to help me sleep as without these I wouldn’t have been able to add to the little sleep I got. The room I was in was directly opposite the lift which constantly made noise and the window did nothing to block out sound from the outside. The total disregard to the substance on the bed by the hotel staff member when I initially showed him still baffles me now. However, he did agree with me that not having bed sheets was totally unacceptable and said that we should try to get our money back. Luckily I didn’t book this room myself as it was booked though work. If you’re thinking of staying here to save money, please look elsewhere for the piece of mind and quality of sleep that you’ll get by spending a little more elsewhere.
- lindarayn2020 (10/5): Great service - Very very helpful at the desk!thanks to Vaslun and Anirudth Room are perfect and clean. Great Value for Money.
- jameswY7306KV (8/5): Great Location! - Had a great stay. Staff was professional. Location is perfect heart of central london with close transport links.
- P1334SZjob (10/5): Great serviec - The hotel is very cental with right next to an underground and train station. The only thing i didnt like was the bosy wash. But the service offered by Sreedharan was excellent. He has a really friendly manner and was always very helpful and polite
- EmmaJ1383 (8/5): Good experience - Had a wonderful welcome from Joyce. Very entertaining and incredible welcoming. Made us feel at home. Was able to drop our bag off which was a fab service.
- jendS7792OH (4/5): Very basic - Would of been great to have a kettle that didn't leak everywhere and toilet roll. Main light wouldn't work. Had to keep going down requesting items. Stayed three nights, no one cleans sink toilet or empties bins, no new towels. When trying to get a new room card, because mine didn't work, reception is closed, a busy hotel should have reception open at all times. Lift broke down, so dragging bags you 3 flights. Very basic, which I found surprising for London.
- lucyeR3233CD (4/5): Massive disappointment - don’t bother - Very disappointing. We booked the so-called “super room” to have more space and a couple of little luxuries but the room (406) was very cramped, the decor tired and the bathroom was tiny. The Hans Grohe shower is called out in the room description as if it’s something special but it’s just a small shower in a bath - nothing special at all. The hair and body wash is in one combined bottle. There is no shower cap or cotton buds or any useful amenity in the bathroom. The bed is described as king size when it’s actually just a double. The bed was cold and when we asked for more blankets we were told there weren’t any - even though the hotel was not full occupancy and they could’ve taken them from another room to help us out. Instead they bought an extra radiator which just made the room too hot. The breakfast we bought in advance was hilariously tragic - we had expected a buffet or at least a continental but it was just a tiny box with water, a plastic wrapped pain au chocolat and some other unhealthy rubbish. The only good thing about this hotel is the location - right next to Marylebone Station. Don’t stay here unless you are desperate.
- FarAway41324655107 (10/5): lovely stay - We stayed 6 days, everything was great, especially with the help of Joyce. Perfect and lovely hotel, it makes our trip in London so nice, thanks.
- Pioneer23301974391 (10/5): Exceptional stay. - The person on reception (Sreedharan ) was most welcoming, very polite and obliged when I asked for a quite room if available as had a very early start next day. Room was perfect, I highly recommend this Travelodge.
- GrahamN66 (10/5): Perfect location, exceptional staff - Perfect for seeing the sights, you can roll out of the room to Marylebone station, with a choice of pubs, restaurants and shops within a 1 minute walk.
Room clean and comfortable and functional, price competitive and all 3 of the reception staff we dealt with were amazingly good and helpful and pleasant.
Absolutely recommend.
- johnniec90230 (2/5): Avoid at all costs - Booked a single room upon arrival there were no pillows had to go downstairs to request took over 30 mins to sort. No tv remote so had to go back downstairs to request but took so long I had to leave for an event. Returned at 1am to realise there was no duvet just a thin sheet to keep warm in mid February. Reception was closed so had to use towels just to keep warm. Wouldn't recommend this hotel at all
- 28aneleg (10/5): The staff team made all the difference - Joyce was brilliant and friendly in helping us to check in earlier whilst her colleagues Naeem and Samsun worked hard to get the room ready. Thank you for a great stay. Even when we have all the technology available, it is still the people who make an ok stay a great stay!
- I3053LLasmaaa (10/5): Friendly Staff - As always, the rooms were spotless, the staff incredibly friendly, and the location is perfect. A special mention to the assistant manager on the morning of 13th February - absolutely outstanding service!
- Meander60477195789 (10/5): Suggestions - Suggestions to any visitors to London like ourselves To eat nearby Vietnamese restaurant Nep Nep and the Globe Pub around 6ish when every body finishes work
- BeesX9443WO (10/5): Great location! - Had to come stay here again because of how good the location was, I was able to enjoy my activities for the day knowing that it was so easy to go back to the hotel if needed. It’s so convenient to have the station literally right next to it!
Plus the staff were super friendly, lovely lady named Sabrin was so sweet.
- stevetW6191YT (4/5): Super basic an very scruffy - Tiny single room was like a jail cell. Paintwork very worn and chipped. Common areas were very tired and worn out. Bathroom clean
- W4266GWfrancescag (10/5): Would recommend:) - Excellent experience all round - lovely room, everything I needed was available. Kurian in particular was excellent, friendly, efficient and make late check in a breeze! Would recommend!
- 597jameyj (8/5): Clean basic stay, very good location for getting around town with rail bus and loads of different tube lines close by - Basic but clean. Wasn’t worth the extra for a ‘super’ room. Great location with amazing transport links. Staff were so helpful and friendly.
- Rava1979 (10/5): Amazing friendly service - The hotel is great. Centrally located and you know what you generally get from a Tavelodge.
What did stand out was that all the employees gave an 11 out of 10 service. I had some train issues and arrived a day late, but literally nothing was too much trouble for the ladies on reception. They were extremely helpful and best of all friendly. To be given such a warm welcome (especially in London!) is rare and made me feel like they genuinely cared. Brilliant
- J7140MYiains (10/5): Helpful and pleasant - Staff were particularly pleasant and helpful (speaking as long-term Travelodge customer) 3rd party Wifi was less reliable.
- paulmW3478AI (2/5): Awful. The noise! - Awful.
I was feing "edgy" and looked at a backpackers nearby, but was too scared about a shared bathroom. Travelodge was my second choice - nearly 3 times the price, but at least I get a bathroom and quiet, right? Went past the backpackers first, scary. Intimidating even. Looked rough around the edges. Went for the security and reliability of Travelodge instead.
What a waste of time.
The noise!
It is 30m after midnight. The delivery trucks, it feels like I might as well be sleeping outside. And no, windows are not open.
Do not get me started on the other guests! Paper thin walls, music, shouting, crying.
Really regret not trying the hostel. It certainly could not have been worse, and certainly would have been cheaper.
It is so bad, I have signed up to Tripadvisor (created an account) just to express my opinion (& I do not even have social media! So annoyed that I have forgone even that last boundary!)
Avoid this location unless it is priced around £20.
I paid £76. Robbed. Awful.
- alfred2026 (2/5): Awful Room - The single room and particularly the 'wet room' was way below the standard I have experienced on previous stays with Travelodge. I was not impressed by a notice advising that items for recycling should be left on the floor ... there was no wast bin in the bedroom.
- sarahmT9430YS (2/5): Save your money, awful awful hotel - All I can say is what an awfu hotel. Rooms tiny and dated with a funny smell. If you're facing the back of the hotel be prepared to be kept awake all night by the staff who have a clear lack of respect for guests, shouting and talking at 2.30am and again 5am singing! Beds are uncomfortable. And in this day and age how are we being told we can't use hair straighteners because of the smoke alarm yet they give u a steam iron!! Make that make sense. He actually knocked on the door and the told me stop using my straighteners, apparently a sign in reception, maybe they should put that on their website, its literally a daily think for women!! Whilst the location is good id rather pay more and stay somewhere else and be treated with respect, get some sleep and he able to style my hair! Diabolical hotel you have been warned.
- YoungDude1999 (2/5): What a Dump! - Disastrous Stay
No keys could be issued so had to get staff to let me in the room if I wanted to go out
Cold in the room, heater was pathetic would have got more heat out of a candle
Old fashioned furniture looked like it has been there since the 60’s
Fire Alarm at 1am which was so loud it effected my hearing for the next day and no staff on hand to offer any info or help
I won’t be staying here again
So overpriced it’s ridiculous
- derekmV7927SJ (10/5): Great Experience & Great Location - Great Experience, Staff Are Super Friendly & Hotel Location Is Perfect! If You Need A Place In Prime Central Location Then Travelodge Marleybone Is Great
- CMPTraveller007 (2/5): Poor Management and technical problems. - We arrived at the hotel at 3:15pm to check in but your machine for programming the key cards was broken so we had to be taken to the room to let us in and each time we went out we had to be let in to our room. I wasn’t going to take the risk of going out after 10pm because I might not be able to get inside the hotel or into my room.
- BazzaO50 (8/5): Good stay in London - The hotel is very central if visiting London. Although the rooms were small and the bathroom very ‘snug’ it was very clean and well maintained. Considering the price, it was good value and as we only stayed for one night it was good value for money. The Reception team were very helpful and one particular staff member (I think her name was Judy) in particular stood out with a great personality. She is a real asset to the team
- E3315YHkates (2/5): Average - The lady at reception was lovely and very welcoming on arrival. However, we experienced several issues with our room. The sink was affected by mold and would not drain properly, the TV remote didn’t work, and the shower curtain had orange stains, which was quite disappointing.
In addition, when we requested a late check-out, it was not clearly explained that payment needed to be made beforehand. The supervisor, Rajkumar, came to our room and spoke to us in a very rude and abrupt manner. When we went downstairs to pay, he continued to argue with us, which made us feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome.
Overall, the lack of clarity and the unprofessional behavior from the supervisor overshadowed the otherwise pleasant interaction we had at the start of our stay.
- chrissychilderley (2/5): Don’t except any sleep! - Hardly got any sleep, the noise from outside the hotel was unbearable! It started at 10pm and continued until about 6am. All we could hear was crashing and banging of crates being taken off an M&S lorry.. they must have a loading bay there. The bathroom was so small you couldn’t hardly use the toilet or move. The taps on the bath/shower took us about 5mins to turn off due to a fault.
- Meander44778777489 (8/5): Marylebone stay great location not so great rooms - Great location. Joyce was very friendly and helpful. The room was very tired. Scratches on bath and bathroom door falling apart. Not great value for money in my opinion. I'd expect the quality of rooms to be better for the money. The room was out the front by the room which was noisy
- rachelrY1057UP (10/5): Thanks Joyce! - We had a wonderful check-in experience thanks to Joyce at Travelodge Marylebone. She was friendly, welcoming, and made the process quick and efficient. Joyce went above and beyond by sharing helpful tips on places to explore nearby, which really added to our stay. Her professionalism and warm attitude set the tone for a great visit. Thank you, Joyce, for making us feel so well looked after!
- U9455JPjessw (10/5): Lovely stay - Lovely gentleman greeted us when we checked in, room was lovely, basic but nice. Joyce who was at reception was super sweet, making sure we were happy with our stay and was nice and chatty.
- 884ranta (10/5): happy customer - came to London for work, clean rooms and friendly staff. everything u need and convenient location. good value for money, will be returning for future business trips.
- harrydenmark (2/5): Avoid at all costs - Avoid at all costs. No soundproofing. Disgusting bathroom. Small bed. Disinterested personnel. In general not a nice place to stay. The only positive is the location.
- anitaaJ8905LQ (10/5): Great location - Had a great time at Marylebone, nice rooms and helpful staff. Right next to Marylebone station and a great location for sightseeing and winter wonderland
- suebM683NK (2/5): Appalled - Booked a super room for king sized bed. For new design and for walk in shower.
A bath that is chipped. A queen not kingside bed and if this is a new design turn the clocks back to last century.
This is false advertising on their website. My heart goes out to the lady receptionist who tried to help but hands were tied by policies. Amazing policies for certain things but not false claims of what their rooms are like.
Smell of wacky backy from the corridor may help.
Have two days of back operations and just beyond worried how I will manage.
Sadly was going to love business from premier hotels to travel lodge. I don’t think that will be happening.
Await to hear if management can help
- rbtravelr (10/5): Friendly staff and great location - Enjoyable stay overall, reception staff friendly and helpful. The location of this hotel is great, a walking distance from a lot of places
- hdyl2025 (10/5): Fantastic stay can’t fault it - Fantastic stay can’t fault it.
Great location, comfy beds, and the friendliest staff. Everything was clean and well looked after. Definitely good value for money, I’d stay again without a doubt
- jennaaK7013FF (10/5): Great place to stay! - The location is perfect, close to everything, and the beds were super comfy. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, really made us feel at home. Totally worth the money – I’d happily stay here again
- Clubfiz (2/5): Smaller than a prison cell - I needed to stay in London for a business event and chose the Travelodge based on previous good stays at other hotels and thought this would be a similar standard, I was wrong. I did not realise that a hotel bedroom could be so small. There wasn't even enough space to move between the bed and the "desk", in fact I think prison cells must be bigger.
The bathroom had nowhere for toiletries, couldn't even put them on the floor as the shower curtain was so flimsy it looked like it would flood. The shower itself reminded me of caravans I have stayed in previously it was so small.
I asked if I could move but the hotel was fully booked. Ended up going out all evening and coming back as late as possible so all I had to do was sleep and leave early.
The room was noisy, I could hear the neighbours coming in and leaving and got woken up several times during the night.
This is without doubt the smallest and worst hotel room I have ever stayed in and it cost £180! Never again, Travelodge should be ashamed.
- 152jannatj (10/5): Good Experience - I had a good experience overall, very supportive and cooperative staff. The lounge is well maintained, i like the vibes and would definitely like to visit again and recommend friends.
- E5799TZusmana (10/5): Good experience with stay and hotel staff - Very cozy and comfortable stay. Staff is very friendly. Especially Owais Ali Jhatial, he is very friendly and helping staff members. Resolved our queries on time and in a very professional way.
- Curious10733799370 (8/5): fantastic staff - i was in staying with travelodge as i had work in london. joyce made my experience worth while and put a smile of my face after long work hours with her bubbly personality and witty banter.thank you again for being a ray of sunshine in the dark city of London.
- simonk530 (8/5): Joyce makes this place - If it wasn't for the receptionist, Joyce, this stay would be completely lost in my memories.
Nothing about it was memorable, as is normal with travellodges but, Joyce, gently endearing and throwing insults at me and my colleagues with her beaming smile and unforgettable laugh, really made us feel welcome and more than just another guest.
Thank You Joyce.
- peterjA8445PF (10/5): Great location - Great location, friendly and helpful staff. Would recommend. Staff very helpful. Joyce was GREAT. Supper helpful. Room quiet.
- joelhA5283BJ (10/5): Business Trip - I had a lovely stay and the highlight was certainly Joyce on main reception who made me feel very welcome. I haven’t stopped in London for a while and she gave me some recommendations of food / restaurants in the morning which was really helpful.
- R9534DOhl (10/5): Sabrin was an absolute delight - Such a sweet and welcoming young lady, made our experience extra special. It was a short stay but a wonderful one. Highly recommend!
- janed253 (10/5): Amazing customer service & friendly staff - The staff are amazing at this hotel. In particular huge thank you to Joyce & Beatrice. Excellent customer service, great rooms, great location. Dog friendly hotel. All staff very happy, smiling and polite. Thank you so much for a great stay.
- Cngee (4/5): Not well maintained - Room is not clean, with old socks left, no hand soap, room smells dusty, too dark, and wifi cant even reach our room, and we extra for it.
- Voyager64194714593 (8/5): Great location - Perfectly located for many of the sights of London, helpful and friendly staff, especially Joyce on reception. Good value so more money to spend in London!
- 112neald (8/5): Travellodge Marylebone - Really good, typical for Travel Lodge. Early check-in fee of £15. Wifi lasts 30 mins, then charged, one to be aware of if needed.
On checkout, Grace on reception was really polite and professional offering to help in any way she could.
- connory261 (2/5): Terrible - Stayed in a family room over the weekend, absolutely dreadful. Room is cramped, water pressure is a disaster meaning a shower is worthless. Had an issue with the vending machine taking more money. The bloke in reception was laughing throughout, talking in his native language in a mocking tone. His name was Verdu I believe . Absolutely no manners or good customer service, he told me not his problem. Wanted to see my bank statements and laughed throughout. Awful place, awful staff. Letter of complaint has been sent in, lets see if i get a response.
- janehB2214SH (8/5): Great customer service - Great location. Comfortable beds. Rooms kept at a good temperature. Very friendly and helpful staff, especially Joyce who made us feel very welcome.
- U9517LDcharliea (10/5): One night stay - Stayed with my girlfriend for the night and we were greeted with a lovely receptionist Joyce who was amazing. The room was good also.
- Gemma6985 (10/5): Great stay handy for train station - Great stay, close to station and Joyce was great on reception. Only criticism is no twin bed options, which would be good.
- freddiew870 (10/5): Just what was needed - Room was comfortable, staff were friendly and cheerful. Room had a bath which is always appreciated. Clean, very central location
- leanne805 (4/5): Room 112 - The room was really noisy. The hotel is in a good location but we were so disappointed with the room. We asked to change but they wouldn't accommodate the change.
- DavidS19 (6/5): Good location but..... - Great location for getting about London but do not stay on the 6th floor, they have or certainly had noise issues from the plumbing / aircon or heating system that made it impossible to get off to sleep it was so loud! Plus side the breakfast box was good.....
- S9415VWalexs (6/5): can be better at sound proofing - good overall except for the street noise at night that can be heard even with the windows shut. had to wear ear plugs so i could sleep
- Clumsybanana1 (10/5): Friendly London stay - Great location, we were greeted with a lovely warm welcome from Joyce on the front desk who made our stay extra special. Thank you
- Peneyrals (8/5): Spot on for location and big room! - Spot on for location. Next to Marylebone Station and across from The Landmark Hotel. Some road noise as expected and a little building work opposite but it didn't affect our comfort. Great sized room. Two windows allow for fresh air and a fan appreciated. Very small bathroom with shower over bath so not suitable for all. Very clean!
- sporto505 (4/5): Want wifi or X or Y or whatever pull out your wallet. - we saw the pic of the rooms at this hotel and although I knew the reputation of this hotel chain in the states, I thought I would give it a chance. That was a mistake. While the room ( a superroom that costs more ) was bigger than our other hotel rooms on this trip to Europe and England, it is still not up to par.
First, the neighborhood is a bit seedy. The hallways are seedy. This is an old building that has not been refurbished. We booked this hotel because the hotel is VERY close to the Marylebone tube station. That part was great. And the bed and linens etc were comfortable but I could not get in or out of the bathroom without the door squeezing me between the loo and the door. there is just not enough space . . And I am a skinny guy. The windows open to a busy area that is quite noisy until a bit late. For it's overall condition and offerings it should cost a fair bit less and wifi should be free, not just 30 minutes which I was never able to make work either, because once one person starts their wifi it starts the running of the one devise that gets free 30 minutes.
I do want to compliment the staff who were all very friendly and helpful to the extent they can be. The Asst. Manager ( I believe Ruth was her name) was exceptional helping me get the "second devise wifi service I paid extra for but was never able to get for the first and second nights. She must have spent 45 minutes dealing wtih the Virgin Atlantic Tech support figuring out how to allow me to get the wifi that they make one pay for. This hotel is cheap like that. EVERYTHING you can think of that a hotel normally provides for free these days costs more here .
For the price they are asking I would look elsewhere.
- WillB204 (10/5): Good - Joyce at reception was very helpful when it came to checking out. She ensured that I had everything I needed before departing.
- 924chazd (10/5): Wonderful stay - Very nice stay and the reception staff was very very helpful and polite, especially Joyce! Very smiley and always nice to be welcomed with a happy face
- BoardingPass734604 (8/5): Overnight stay - Room was clean, very central and friendly. Wasn't expecting much from a travelodge but this exceeded expectations. Very friendly service, great location and clean room. Can't complain with the price paid for London.
- H9630WOrobinp (10/5): Good place to stay - Excellent location and very comfortable and quiet. Very cheerful receptionist, Joyce. Temperature not too hot which I prefer.
- Y2791FWnadineb (2/5): Shocking. Charge for double room. Given what can only be described as a single shoe cupboard! - Absolutely shocking experience. On booking was given 2 options, double room or superior room. Booked 2 double rooms separately costing over £100 each for 1 night. On arrival I had been booked into a single that can only be described as a shabby, run down box room. My colleague had a tired double. Both costing the same price. Staff said it had been booked as a single but this was not even an option at pricing on booking. The single room was next to the the lift and cleaning cupboard and twice through the night I was woken to a trolley being removed from this. The room was cold and the duvet thin and smelling of Mold. My advice is to say that 2 people are staying in your room if you book a Travelodge, so they don’t charge you for a double but book you a single. Shocking experience. Will not return and this has definitely put me off booking with Travelodge again. Requested to change to the size room that had been paid for, but informed that all rooms were sold out (despite being able to still purchase one on their website for the same night. Staff insisted a single room had been booked and paid despite us having receipts clearly showing the same price paid.
- drtonyhobbs (4/5): Disappointing. - First time I’d stayed in TravelLodge for years. Chosen because of location and reassured with the claim of recently refurbished rooms. If this was refurbished, I would have hated to have seen it before! Badly and cheaply done! OK value for money and reception staff very good, but in future will spend a little more for better quality.
- balhamgirl1001 (10/5): Great stay - Joyce was so friendly and helpful, thanks so much
Great location, enjoyable stay. Quiet and good night sleep.
Would return
- rebeccadG8166EM (10/5): Lovey customer service - Happy with Joyce - great service and very helpful with any queries. Would recommend as it’s a very handy location for train
- Linzi87 (10/5): Lovely clean room friendly receptionist - Lovely central hotel. Clean room. Joyce on reception was very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend xxx
- F8899TBjaniner (8/5): Well situated, well priced - Good location with excellent staff ( especially Joyce who was friendly and helpful). The room are small but adéquate, and clean. Good value for money
- Ng_cole (2/5): Unethical Unfriendly Unhuman Reception - On arrival the receptionist says we can go another hotel because they do not have wheelchair user facility! She also mentioned specifically they would NOT help us climbing up that few steps onto the lobby because they do not accept any responsibility! It was by graceful help from the fellow customers that we managed to struggle up that few stairs!
When I asked if they have green tea when the male receptionist was going to get it for me the same female receptionist said they do not have it! and if we want any we have to get it ourselves!
Throughout the process there is not one welcome or smell or even an effort to be friendly!
I would not recommend it to anyone who wants a warm welcome and values the decent respect to a fellow human being who may need a bit of help
- 676bethanyt (10/5): Super friendly staff - Joyce was brilliant. So friendly and count down enough for us. Great location for everything we needed. Will definitely be returning.
- A1282OJjohnp (10/5): Would stay again - Joyce was brilliant, very helpful and friendly. Definitely would stay again.
Great location for travelling into Piccadilly. Also a large car park near by which isn’t too expensive
- 756nickc (10/5): Great staff - Predictably ok stay as expected. But made special by the lovely and super helpful Joyce, the supervisor on reception! Nothing was too much trouble for her, thank you
- timbell007 (10/5): Family trip - Top class from Joyce, thanks a million! Made our stay unforgettable. We will definitely be back for the next family celebration 🎉 We love
- Trek09858780004 (10/5): Handy location, clean and helpful staff. - Decent size room for London, we've stayed in some tiny rooms before. Comfy enough bed and functional furniture. Close to Marylebone and Baker Street Stations for access to central London and places further afield (we went to wembley arena for a gig, and thought it better to be nearer 'stuff' and travel out rather than being out near wembley and having to travel in). Not overly cheap (£130PN) but this is London so what can you say. I will say it's not the quietest location and the windows seem quite old and don't block out much traffic noise but my wife and I can sleep through anything so didn't bother us, light sleepers beware!? Room was clean on arrival with teas and coffee and more available at reception. Staff friendly and helpful with a special mention for Joyce who helped secure our bags in the back room upon our departure to allow us a few more hours in the city before our train home from Paddington. Overall, a great stay and would definitely return again on future trips to our capital.
- cameronfY7681NY (10/5): An excellent stay - Had a lovely stay while visiting to see Coldplay and it was so easy to get to and from Wembley stadium from this travelodge (9 mins on train). The staff were beyond helpful and a special shoutout to Joyce who helped me with anything I needed and went above and beyond when my phone wasn’t working. They also allowed me to keep medicine in the fridge which I needed. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay in London for a few days.
- T7340KTangelaw (2/5): Horrendous noise from external roof area, air conditioning or something? Verybloud and clearly heard in the room! - Too noisy to get a good nights sleep. Whatever was causing this did go off at midnight but as i had a 5am start this wasn’t of much help.
- M4382AAjons (6/5): Hotel OK Good Location - Hotel is a bit tired, but generally clean and OK.
Excellent location as right next to Marylebone station, but pretty noisy with traffic.
Bathroom is very cramped and basic (no hand soap or shower gel in dispensers).
- paulhP7151AJ (4/5): end stage capitalism at its worst - Obviously all hotels act like cartels putting prices up during events or the tube strike this time to exploit people but the level of exploitation here was ridiculous. £270 per night for this level of basic is ridiculous beyond belief. The hotel had probably seen better days fifty years ago. I stood in my room looking at what £270 per night gets you and it is truly shocking. Travelodge’s senior management should be utterly ashamed of themselves. The décor needs refreshing. There is no air con. The bathroom is so pokey and small you have to do a three point manoeuvre to be able to open the door to get in and out. £270 a night for a bathroom you can barely get into the door because it’s so small. The only toiletries is some syrupy washing up liquid being passed off as shower gel and the bath taps were also filthy. The carpets in the room threadbare, the bed sheets starchy and thin. There are no facilities at the hotel, no breakfast options/food or drink. It’s close to Marylebone station is its one positive. Would have been fine paying £50 per night but charging £270 and bwing this bad shows what a despicable company Travelodge are. Interested in nothing but making money.
- paulmX8296XS (2/5): Overbooked and smelly - When we arrived, the hotel was overbooked and had no room available. We were offered a switch to a different branch which was 30 minutes away. We chose the hotel we booked because that's where we needed to be, and we arrived on time to check in and then get to the event we were going to - we didn't have a spare hour to get to the other hotel and back again. Eventually the staff found us two single rooms - not ideal, but better than nothing. Unfortunately, when we returned that night after our event, one of the rooms smelled strongly of sewage, which made the bathroom unusable. It seemed to us that the staff must have been aware, because when we arrived the windows were all open and a fan was running at full speed. In the other, the hand soap dispenser by the sink didn’t work. Generally the rooms were in poor repair. I can honestly say this was the worst experience staying in a hotel I’ve ever had.
- GlobeTrotting626372 (10/5): Brilliant location - This Travelodge is directly across the road the from the station, it’s so handy and well connected to tube/rail services and a short, but pleasant walk to Marylebone High Street and the West End.
I think I stayed in a super room (not sure as I was upgraded due to my room being unavailable), it was basic and clean, but ideal for my needs, it felt safe with minimal noise within the hotel.
I had a window overlooking the station and there was quite a lot of outside as you’d expect late at night/early hours near a station with deliveries, bin collections etc, so I did get woken a few times, but I would absolutely stay here again.
- bella104965 (2/5): Not recommended - Me and my 82 year old mum stayed here 09/08/25. We were in a family room (2 beds), room 104. It seemed ok at first until water with bits of poo gushed up (twice) the bath plug hole - bath/shower had not been used by us and no poos done!! So basically someone else’s sewage was in our bath. Hotel though swilling the bath down with water meant it wouldn’t happen again - how!!! We asked to be moved (11pm) and did get the only room (a double so we had to share a bed even though we had booked 2 beds). Complaint to Travelodge lodged - they made an apology payment of £45 - pretty decent of them but had to ask again for a refund on the extra we had paid for a family room (was anywhere between £30-£50 extra), we got £30. Looking at some other previous rooms this seems to have been a previous issue with this hotel. So many better Travelodges in London. Will definitely never go to this one again. Such a shame
- rhutton101 (6/5): Great location for Wembley from Marylebone station but small rooms and unfriendly staff - Had to move room first night due to large humming and vibration in walls. Staff tried to dismiss our concerns but eventually moved rooms. Rooms are very small but adequate. Outside of hotel is unkempt but inside is very clean. Best part is access to getting to Wembley
- X7282ILharryj (10/5): Joyce | AMAZING. WOULD RECOMMEND! - WOW! Joyce was an absolute legend, she is a credit to the company. On arrival, she greeted us with a big smile and a warm welcome to the hotel. We booked for early check-in. We were 5 mins early and she let us know our room was not ready yet, she came out of the hotel and pointed us and showed us the best local coffee shops. As I say, she is a credit to the company and she makes a good impression of the hotel. 5 stars.
- shamekam182 (8/5): Great experience - My stay here was great and all of the staff were helpful. Joyce stood out and was most helpful. I would stay here again. Prime location and easy to get to other places.
- Gr8dan22 (6/5): Basics and value in a great location - Basics and value in a safe and convenient location. You wont get any frills or extras but it’s clean and has what you need.
- charlottee365 (10/5): Great location if wanting to go to Wembley - Stayed here with family whilst going to see a concert at Wembley! Perfect location as right next to the station and can get a direct train to Wembley. Friendly staff on reception, Joyce was very helpful. No aircon but fans provided in each room. They offer luggage storage which is great so you can explore without the hassle of carrying bags with you. Comfy beds. My only suggestion would be black out curtains/blinds. Not a lot of noise through the night either.
- kylesI1996MS (10/5): Friendly staff - Honestly Joyce at reception made the stay! She is so friendly and a delight to speak to! Would happily stay here again when we are next in London.
- lorrainecE9216XL (10/5): Travelodge - Staff are great Joyce was lovely and helpful and full of the joys this morning.
Ok for an overnight hotel but not for a long stay.
