Guest Reviews
- fionarigby1527 (10/5): Good value and great location - We visit this hotel frequently because it is perfectly placed close to the station and a short walk from Exmouth Market which has great bars and restaurants. It is always welcoming, comfortable and clean. The staff are always very helpful. The hotel is good value for money and this means we have more to spend when we are in London!
- gillesfrancoisn (10/5): Nice and good value hotel for a happy visit in London - Hotel well located, not far from St Pancras train station (take a bus if luggages - bus stop in front of hotel). Spacious SuperRoom Double incl. Wifi and fridge with complimentary water. Clean room. No noise during the night even with window looking at the street.
Excellent and copious breakfast. Nice and modern atmosphere in the dining/breakfsat areas. Staff very nice and professional. Good value for money especially for London.
- davidwJ9291EJ (10/5): Great base for London sightseeing - Thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay at the London Farendon Travelodge. Our standard room was at the rear of the hotel on the third floor. The recent refurbishment of the room was very practical and tasteful for example mirrors, good size no frills and in the right place, shower curtain in a colour and design which complimented the bathroom decor, much more practical than a screen. Comfortable bed, clean and quiet room. There are a number of bus stops close to the hotel and we found that using buses was an ideal way to see the sights of London. We had two days of breakfasts in the hotel and one evening meal, all good. Plenty of choice for breakfast and we shared a good sized pizza for evening food. It was the two course deal and the sticky toffee pudding was the best I have ever had. Special mention for Karlene who we noticed diligently beavering away clearing and cleaning tables at breakfast with a cheery smile and kind word. In fact all the staff we met were kind, cheerful and helpful. This will be our go to hotel in London.
- L7264DIkimc (10/5): Excellent for the price - Lovely staff. Newly refurbished. Great trip!
- jorT7879JJ (10/5): Our go to in London, Always a pleasant stay - Our go to hotel when in London, close to lots of attractions and always a very pleasant stay. Staff can’t do enough to help you, upgrade to a superior room which wasn’t much dearer and found the decor fresh and inviting and the room bed, pillows were all very comfy. Fresh towels, milk, coffee etc all readily available
- Khal-Explore (4/5): Very noisy, slow staff and smell of paint - The noise, while the room is sound proofed to the rooms beside it, it isnt to the hallways or to the street outside. Like there was a visible gap between the floor and the door to the hallway, so you could hear pretty much everything. And the street is quite loud, the room just won't ever be quiet.
With the room being repainted, the smell of paint was very apparent in the air.
Was a slow check in for me, I had came rather late, but not late enough I needed to press the buzzer to come in, yet I had to wait around 15 minutes for someone to show up as there was no one at the check in area or in the back area.
The bathroom will get very wet, as the glass pane only reaches half way so water just gets into the small area you stand in to use the sink or the toilet, so if your in the shower for longer than a few minutes your going to have a puddle of water in the bathroom.
The bed to me was quite hard and indented to one side, with the noise, I barely slept the two nights I stayed.
- karlarA3909AT (10/5): Comfortable and clean - I stayed here for 2 weeks in March and I had a wonderful time! The entire staff was super friendly and took care of me and all my needs, special thank you to Daniella! The hot Lavazza coffee machine in my room really helped me zone into my work and the little fridge helped me save on lunch! The breakfast had an abundance of choices and dinner was always yummy. The Veggie Pizza was so good! With the Bus 63 right outside the hotel, I was able to travel anywhere with ease.
- NorthStar65702972951 (4/5): Very noisy - We stayed here for 3 nights. The Hotel was very noisy. You could hear trains right up until after midnight and they started again at 5am. We stayed in a double super room and although The room was clean I definitely wouldn't call it a super room that are advertised as being luxury and on the quietest floors. Yes there was a coffee machine but it was extremely noisy. The air conditioning unit in the room was so noisy we had to turn it off overnight. There was paint splattered on the floor and the bathroom was extremely compact.
The staff were friendly on check in and helpful when I was ill however on check out at 10.50 there was no one on reception and no box to put our keys in. We waited nearly 10 minutes then had to just leave them on the counter otherwise we would have missed our train.
I would definitely not stay here again
- A2253WVshirleyj (10/5): Amazing - Loved our stay at Travelodge Farringdon. Hotel is situated between Farringdon and Kings Cross International, which is convenient for all intents and purposes. The rooms have recently been upgraded and were perfect for myself and my husband. The bar is new with very modern decor, however the stand out for our stay was the Bar Manager Sian, who was simply outstanding in her role and is a credit to Travelodge Farringdon. Our stay felt very personal and we enjoyed the happy, friendly conversations with Sian on our two nights at this hotel. Her light humour and bubbly personality was exactly what we needed at the end of a very busy (and wet) day out in London. We will definitely return.
- suzannecA4677GV (8/5): Lovely stay - We had a very comfortable night's sleep, very clean room with comfy beds. Enjoyable filling breakfast. Lastly a big shout out to karlene and Ali two lovely staff members who made myself and my daughters breakfast even better thankyou guys.
- 387elsiel (10/5): Great stay, great location - I had a lovely stay in Farringdon. Clean room, friendly staff, and a great location. Vesela was amazing. Would definitely recommend.
- StevenRos86 (10/5): Solid choice - Good stay with comfortable room and a convenient location for being near the City. Daniela on reception was very helpful and freindly when checking in.
- auntieturty (4/5): Not good - Not great experience 1 room out of 3 not ready for check in time. No one on the bar to serve drinks whilst we waited for our room. No staff 1 person behind check in desk. Not good at all. Order drinks on the app whilst we waited for our room waited 30 minutes no sign of drinks had to ask by this time we just asked for a refund. Room was clean however paint all over floor & clearly not been finished off very disappointed
- swc992026 (2/5): Room smelled - Room smelled of dead rodents and the air conditioning unit made a constant noise, despite being turned off.
- alexanderhZ779PH (10/5): Perfect stay - Great stay, clean, quiet and calm
- LLoveheart (10/5): Great Service in the Restaurant - Rooms are basic they do a great pancake stack in the restaurant and the service from Daniela was really excellent.
- joshuabA9093XP (10/5): All together good - Lovely good and also lovely service with a smile
- Londonadventurer2026 (8/5): Great find - We were pleased to find that the renovations seemed to be mostly complete (apart from stairways and an issue with the front entrance meaning we were directed to the cafe /bar entrance). We had been allocated a room on the 5th floor roadside and it was quiet and spotless, nice to have charging points by the bed and tea/coffee facilities. Only criticism was shower pressure and lack of shampoo, (although my friend thought the shower pressure was fine so I may have high expectations). Reception was friendly and helpful, my friend was a little bit cold on the first night so asked for an extra blanket and although they weren't able to provide any extra bedding they did provide a heater.
The cafe /bar is a lovely space with plenty of options for seating. Also very reasonably priced breakfast for an unlimited buffet and again very helpful smiley staff.
- D7514HGpaulf (8/5): Room was fine, but very expensive as usual for central London, - Staff were amazing on reception and in the bar area, experienced, very helpful and supportive
- cameraready (10/5): Travelodge Farringdon Road sets the standard - An excellent stay in F travelodge, Farringdon Road London. Staff could not have been more welcoming and attentive. Bedroom and bed very comfortable and cafebar and staff could not have been better. Thou roughly enjoyed my 3nights at this hotel and in the words of Arnold Schwarzenegger.‘I’ll be back!’ A big thank you to the staff at Travelodge, Farringdon Road, London.
- JaxNorthants (8/5): Good for Location - Location: Good. Although called Travelodge Farringdon was nearer to Kings Cross Station. Lots of lovely bars and restaurants in Farringdon would definitely recommend Cafe Maya for Breakfast.
Super Rooms: Has fridge, iron and ironing board and coffee machine which are all great extras. However in order to get larger room they have compromised bathroom. Bathroom only slightly longer than toilet. And width from door to toilet is toilet width. My partner is fairly broad and his shoulders filled the space when standing at of sitting on loo.
Cleanliness: Was nice to see hard floors rather than dingy carpets as in other travelodges but on hard floor you could see all the dirt snd dust that hadn't been cleaned up. I walked bare foot from bedroom to shower and my feet covered in fluff and dirt! When leaving saw housekeeper in room. They don't physically clean instead just send in small round robot cleaner.
Restaurant: Tried breakfast one morning. Everyone was asking when hot stuff coming out. Bread for toast etc. Wasn't overly busy but after 15 mins wait got few hot items. Was never fully replenished. Second day went to cafe up the street.
- frankiw2026 (10/5): Wonderful Overnight Stay - We chose to stay at Travelodge Farringdon as it is a short walk from St Pancras and approx 30min walk from the theatres so meant we didn't have to mess around with public transport.
The hotel room itself was lovely and clean with a very spacious shower in the bathroom and even though we were situated toward the front of the hotel, the overnight noise was minimal so we slept well.
We booked in for breakfast in the morning with Roshinie, who was a super polite and lovely host, and enjoyed cereal, toast and a full English which also had vegetarian options available, alongside plenty of refillable hot drinks.
I would definitely stay here again :)
- Passport15466741958 (10/5): Fabulous place!! - all the staff, especially Dani, were so incredibly helpful!! such a super place to stay + great value. will absolutely be coming back next time we’re in London!!
- R8056GEzoeb (8/5): Lovely staff - Special mention about Rochinie and Ali who were really helpful and friendly when we checked in.
- missduckinham (6/5): Mixed reviews and not worth the upgrade. - We paid for an upgrade to a Superoom as we were staying for 4 nights.
The room was much smaller than on our previous visits to Travelodges in Kings Cross. No WiFi code was given, no complimentary water in the minibar. We were questioned about an email that we should have received with a WiFi code but we were given the code.
The positives - the bins were emptied every day and fresh towels provided.
We had an iron and an ironing board and also a hairdryer.
The negatives - room not swept or hoovered once during stay even though the rooms are laminate now. Shower cubicle not cleaned. Very limited toilet roll supplied and the hand soap was practically empty when we arrived and never topped up.
When we asked for water we were told that these was a limit of 1 can per room per stay even though the website offers both still and sparkling.
The coffee machine was never emptied of pods so we had to find a YouTube video for guidance.
- sashinim2026 (10/5): Experience of customer service - We have a great time in travelodge Farringdon. On 2nd March, Ms. Vessels did a great favour for us. She is a kind hearted and lovely lady. Thank you so much Ms. Vessels and travelodge for the great hospitality..
- anniefreud7 (10/5): It did what it said on the tin - Good value for money.
Bedroom could be improved by a mat next to the bed.
Helpful efficient restaurant service
nice hot supper served with smile
Overall good VFM
- Julie040362 (10/5): Safe and secure - We arrived on Friday 27 February from Kent. Went out for a lovely evening and returned ‘happy’. I would like to say a special thank you to the security man who was patrolling the rooms around 12.30am. Thankfully he noticed we hadn’t locked our door. He knocked to wake us for our own safety. Thank you
- sallyj555 (6/5): Mediocre - To follow on from a previous comment about gluten free breakfast they now do not offer gluten free bread because it might get contaminated if I toast it! I just wanted bread and am able to make sensible decisions for myself! Ridiculous.
- theosZ8970TJ (10/5): Great customer service - Ali is cool guy renewed my key for my room
- _S2664HE (10/5): A newly refurbished hotel - I had a wonderful experience at Travelodge London Farringdon. I was checked in by Vesela, who was incredibly welcoming and made the whole process smooth and pleasant. She informed me about the first breakfast opening the following morning, which was very helpful. It was also great to see how attentive she is with her team. Great asset to Travelodge. Will be deffinitelly returning.
- LilyR307 (10/5): Happy customers - Central and Easy location to get to. Great value for money when booked in advance. The room had been recently renovated so was clean and fresh. It was very quiet in the evening despite being close to the life. The staff were lovely and friendly, a special shout out to Mathometha who was helpful, kind and smiley. They did a great job of setting up breakfast for the first time since their renovation. Delicious sausages!
- davidF4636EP (2/5): Worst hotel ever. - Needs a good hoover and clean. Fire alarms need fixing to the ceilings rooms not clean either weird smell too
- lynneobrien (10/5): Friendly check-in - Greeted by a smiley and cheerful Hon at check in. Had a little ‘hick up’ with room which was sorted again by Hon in a swift friendly manner. Thank you
- reicec2026 (10/5): Good - Han and Alex were very helpful and friendly
- veroniqued863 (2/5): Terrible stay - The hotel was being refurbished, but we weren't informed, so we arrived in a complete construction site with noisy workmen all over the place, dust, a strong smell of paint, no bar, no restaurant and half completed rooms. In our super room several lights did not function, no lavazza coffee pod machine, no hot chocolate, no promised treat, no bigger television screen, no unlimited wifi...In our friends room the toilet was broke, so they had to change for another room, standard, with no refund for the extra we paid. Rooms were not cleaned.
- themaltesir (2/5): Horrific - Had the pleasure (sarcasm) of experiencing two different rooms.
The first room was outdated but actually dangerous
- less then 1ft between the edge of the bed and the desk chair meaning we had to squeeze by
- the shower pumped out boiling water for a few seconds every 30 seconds, long enough to get scalded the first few times it happened!
The second room was bigger and modern- but being on the west side meant we felt and heard the under ground every 5 minutes- starting at 5 am in the morning.
Still waiting for the refund on the breakfast which wasn’t available on the day but yet was available to book in advance!
- phil1792 (2/5): Don’t stay during refurb! - Booked a room just after New Year and paid for breakfast. Wasn’t aware of the refurbishment as it wasn’t clear on their website. When checked website after our visit it clearly states cafe and breakfast available but further down it then states in amongst the refurb print that no cafe or breakfast is available. Not very clear at all.
We booked in and wasn’t informed of no availability for breakfast. We woke up the following morning to go and find breakfast to be told it wasn’t available. However, we could go and use the Travelodge down the road for breakfast and pay extra there even though we had already paid!!
The rooms smelt strongly of paint which made it an uncomfortable stay.
We had a so called Super room which had been refurbished. The bed base was falling apart. There were paint splatters all over the floor. The new shower had a shower curtain which came up short and floods the very small bathroom. As the shower was so small you stuck to the shower curtain!!!
I sent a letter of complaint in only to be told sorry, but it’s being refurbished!!! They knew about no breakfast being available during our stay but were happy to take our money!!
I won’t be using Travelodge again!!!
I wouldn’t bother using a Travelodge again.
- ebeatum (4/5): Health and Safety Problems - Excellent location although it's no where near Farringdon as the name suggests. Stayed before and was good this time they had painted and did not ventilate so the room was full of fumes. I enjoyed the stay but wouldn't stay again and chance the health and safety risk such a shame all it would of taken is an email to warn us they were painting. I did read some bad reviews but didn't think they would still be open if there was any truth in them. Oh well good why it lasted, never again.
- 633elenal (4/5): Do not book until the building work is completed, unless you want to stay at a building site! - The hotel is being refurbished, so you get a really bad deal: a very dated room at a building site! They really should not take bookings or if nothing else, they should let you know ahead. Staff in reception were friendly and did their best. The only good thing I can say is that the bed was comfortable.
- Quest48699957784 (2/5): Total Let Down by Travel Lodgt - My daughter booked 2 double rooms B&B on the 13th December 2025 for the 14th February 2026 for 1 night as we were booked for a matinee theatre show in the West End . The theatre show started at 14.30pm so she paid an early access / checkin for one of the rooms so we could all leave a travel cases in the room . She paid extra for the early check in due to rooms not being available .
We were then told ( despite booking it ) that breakfast was not available anymore due to ongoing building works .
After the theatre show and while dining in a restaurant she received a telephone call from the hotel telling her all the rooms were now taken ( despite having paid for her room 6 weeks prior ) and her room was no longer available. She was told to use another Travel Lodge in Waterloo . This meant she had to return to Farringdon to collect her luggage to then travel to Waterloo and back again the next day to join myself and my wife. This totally took away the great weekend feeling .
Question. Why didn’t they inform us breakfast was no longer available prior to checking in. If she had knot she would have booked an alternative hotel?
Question. How can your room be no longer available when you have paid for it .
Totally disgusting the way she / we were treated . Be careful using this business 👎
- 930NicolaB (2/5): Don’t stay during refurb!! - Really awful stay. Was given a twin room when I had paid for a double. The bed was tiny and I kept waking up during the night every time I turned over because I thought I would fall out! Place was being refurbished, no bar, no breakfast room. Wasn’t made clear on site as far as I could see. Workman and dust everywhere. And they had the cheek to charge full price for the stay.
- Travel20590025207 (10/5): My sleep - The customer service was excellent. Hanin was incredibly helpful and friendly, and the prices were very affordable. I highly recommend it for families and anyone looking for great service and comfortable sleeping”
- 34Chrissie (2/5): Dishonest and disappointing - Hotel not as advertised at point of booking. Clearly advertised bar/ catering, let me book and pay for breakfast. After payment made and a few days before I arrived they advised no catering . Not allowed to cancel. Hotel was a building site, smelt of paint, banging / drilling noise. I advised I was female travelling alone and needed facilities on site. Company had no interest in this . Questionable whether they care about safety of their customers. Dishonest really. Woukd not trust Travel Lodge again
- theosZ8970TJ (10/5): Got forced to - Ali is cool guy renewed my key for my room
- H2839JMsuew (10/5): Helpful staff and clean room - Room neat, clean and tidy.
Good for us for London Archive.
Value for money
The receptionist Daniela was very efficient, knows her job well. Interested in us
Very engaging and was exceptionally skilled at putting us at our ease. Thank you
- apemltd (6/5): It's a shame, it seems the cleaning staff have little time to clean properly. - Room was not very clean the table was sticky with coffee stains it had not been cleaned. Bin had a small amount of rubbish inside. Sink had hairs. Bathroom floor was not clean.
- midfielder_11 (8/5): No complaints - Good couple of nights stay - this despite some ongoing refurb work. Clean & good value. Well located near Kings Cross and right on bus route. Staff were all helpful
- U3627RInigelg (10/5): Excellent service - - During our business meeting and stay by my colleagues Vesela provided an exemplary standard of service throughout our stay. She was consistently professional, composed, and attentive, demonstrating clear ownership of the guest experience from arrival through to check-out. Her proactive approach at departure, taking time to confirm all expectations had been met, reflected strong leadership instincts and a genuine commitment to service excellence. A credit to the team.
- josefmJ7062LQ (10/5): Good. - Vesela was amazing. Thank you.
I had to write at least 100 characters.
Soooo…
lllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll
- anika1230 (10/5): Unexpected VIP moment - Our stay at Travelodge Farringdon came with an unexpected VIP moment, thanks to the amazing security guard, Ali.
Parking was full when we arrived, but Ali didn’t just help, he legend-level helped. He actually offered to move his own car so we could park. Who does that? Absolute star behaviour. Super professional, incredibly kind, and made us feel welcome from the second we arrived. Add to that a big friendly smile and great attitude, and you’ve got someone who truly represents hospitality at its best.
Also… let’s be honest… handsome young guy too 😂
The room was really nice, clean, and comfortable. There was some noise earlier in the day, likely due to refurbishment works, but it stopped after 4pm, so no issues in the evening at all.
Overall, a great stay made even better by Ali’s outstanding service. Travelodge Farringdon is lucky to have him. Would happily stay again
- 458nicoletam (10/5): Well done - Good location for all London attractions.
Nice welcoming atmosfere.
The cleaning staff should do better job.
In restaurant very nice service, lady caled Daniele was brilliant she paid attention to every aspect.
Thank you! We will come back
- Livashman (10/5): Best customer service like always - I’ve stayed at Travelodge Farringdon many times, and my recent stay was once again a great experience. I’d especially like to mention the security officer, Ali, who was extremely helpful and truly went beyond his duties.
He is always smiling, welcoming, and makes guests feel comfortable and safe. On this stay, he even helped me carry my luggage, which was very kind and appreciated. Also… the security has beautiful eyes 😜
I’d also like to mention Attar, who was behind reception. He was very friendly, professional, and helpful, and took great care of all our needs during the stay.
The consistent friendliness and excellent service from the staff are a big reason I keep choosing this hotel. Highly recommended
Currently they are under refurbishment so except noise until 5pm it goes quite after that
See you next week again
- Voyager153616 (10/5): Brilliant - So pleasantly surprised, rooms were really nice, beds lovely and comfortable. Reception staff really lovely breakfast really good. It was lovely having the face to face contact at reception as opposed to self check-in. Excellent value for money. Well done.
- annsS2974JH (10/5): Just a one night stay, would come again - Good value, served by people and not self check in.
Everyone friendly and welcoming.
Newly refurbished rooms, to a good standard.
The bed was so comfortable, I slept like a baby.
Breakfast was hot and plentiful, would have liked fresh orange juice thou.
But definitely would return.
10/10
- L6813EXjulianc (10/5): Overnight theatre stay - Very can do attitude from the staff nice comfortable hotel nothing was too much trouble including changing rooms for our sisters who preferred a twin room over a double. Good location and great value have to say Daniella Hun went the extra mile.
For trips to London, we will definitely be revisiting this location and this hotel.
- andynaylor61 (2/5): Worst Customer Experience & Staff - Internal works being carried out with no prior comms
Rooms dirty ( having had to move due to faulty sink, eventually!)
Lost count of how many times key cards did not work.
Complained formally but not happy with response so requested who we cascade complaint to and having requested 3 times now nothing.
Terrible experience
- Hayleyg7 (10/5): Daniela top marks for excellent customer service 😊👍 - Daniela was so helpful and so nice to have someone who smiles and nothing is too much trouble, she moved us to another room no problems at all and all done with a smile! The room we had before had a bit of a flashing light .so effected our sleep 🥺
Thank you Daniella , excellent customer service!!! 😊
- jaynew592 (10/5): Can't fault travelodge - Absolutely fab, one member of staff in particular Sian, honestly could not say anything negative. Sian checked us in, sorted an issue with our room straight away, we went to the bar and sian served us promptly. Sian glides around the place radiating such a happy glow and always with a smile and time for each customer. Jayne
- jekmwilkes (10/5): Great customer service by Han - Value was great and the customer service provided by Han was super. Would recommend staying
- RegularTraveler1001 (10/5): Walk In Late Night Booking - Arrived at 1.00am after a long haul flight without a booking. ✈️
Alex and her colleague on reception couldn't have been more helpful in organising my 'walk in' booking.🛏️
Big shout out to them and to the well appointed room.
Especially liked the Lavazza coffee machine in my room. ☕
Please as an international traveller think long and hard about having a 24/7 call center and not a part time one. Just a thought. 🤔
👍👍👍
- BengalBliss (10/5): Lovely Weekend Away. - Fantastic Clean hotel around a 10 minute walk from Kings Cross Station. Lovely calm hotel, nice chilled breakfast & dinner restaurant. We had a super room of which was very clean and tidy, we even got a brand new mattress on the second night as the hotel was getting upgrades. The room was good value for money as a pit stop whilst exploring London, and great for chilling in the evening with the dimmed lights. All the staff were very friendly and went above and beyond to help when needed. Athar checked us in and was friendly and very helpful when I explained I had a continued booking he managed to keep us in the same room so we didn’t have to move our belongings.
- F5795YAdeborahb (10/5): Excellent service - Excellent customer service from Daniela on reception. Extremity helpful, friendly and accommodating
- Escape32359019728 (10/5): Daniela - amazing customer service!!! - I had the best experience with Daniela who was an absolute gem , she was so lovely and kind , and listened and answered all my requests with patience and care ! Honestly fabulous customer service from her !!! Will definitely be coming back again thank you so much :) x
- Mair221 (6/5): Beware the single rooms - Hotel was fine, in a good position, close to amenities.
As a solo traveller I have always resented having to pay for a double room. This hotel offered me a single room and I was delighted until I discovered it was the same price as the double room. Smaller room, smaller bed. Same price. It may have been date specific but make sure you compare the price.
- T9452AFdavidm (10/5): Fantastic Experience - Your receptionist Daniela was fantastic and very accommodating. 5 stars!
- benhF6202EL (10/5): Very good experience - A wonderful experience from start to finish—thank you, and special thanks to Daniella in particular for her professionalism, attentiveness, and care throughout.
- geoffcB1129GM (10/5): A nice stay made better by the staff - I had a very pleasant stay at Travelodge Farringdon. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and in a great location, making it easy to get around London. They are currently undergoing a refurbishment, but it didn’t affect my stay at all. Alex at reception was great. I had loads of questions and she was patient, friendly, and never made me feel like I was a nuisance. That really stood out to me.
I’d happily stay here again.
- maec565 (10/5): Fun, shopping, holiday, drinks - Fantastic staff over the last 2 days we have stayed in Farringdon Travelodge

We're both loving and we all had a good laugh at the bar
- Kate44 (10/5): Excellent Travelodge - Booked at an extremely competitive rate for London and didn’t have high expectations. How wrong could I be? An absolutely lovely Travelodge, spotlessly clean, friendly staff, attractive cafe-bar in a safe neighbourhood with plenty of shops, cafes etc nearby, and decent access to public transport. My new go-to London Travelodge.
- naominR8016AN (10/5): Wonderful customer service - Stayed here over New Year’s Eve and was given exceptional customer service by Athar! He was so friendly, patient and helpful.
- johnbJ8776WL (10/5): Very enjoyable - Great location and appreciated the check help by Daniela. Very efficient and pleasant. Room very quiet and excellent value in January ! Very hand for local restaurants and Sadler’s Wells Theatre
- HildaWelly (10/5): Excellent customer service! - A surprisingly excellent experience! We booked due to the exceptional good value for such a central location and have experienced customer service above and beyond!
Special mention to the young lady on reception (Han) whose customer service skills wouldn’t be out of place in a high end hotel!
Bed very comfortable, room very clean and location is perfect!
- SpongeBibbity (2/5): Never again - Issues we had were as follows
- less than half a roll of toilet paper in room when we checked in. Asked at reception for another roll to be put in room. When we went back to room not done.
On second morning asked reception staff to get out room refreshed as no sign to hang on door. When we got back to the room late at night nothing done. Asked reception for toilet roll and clean towels. Reception staff not bothered.
Talking to other guests and they had actually gone out and purchased their own toilet rolls.
Could not lock room door from inside.
Ac very
Noisy so it was a choice of could not sleep due to noise or could not sleep due to cold.
Bar service was very slow. Had to wait at bar up to 20 minutes for someone to appear to serve. Bar seating area very chilly.
- B9614MLmelissap (4/5): Stained towel, outdated. - We arrived and the check in process was average and easy. We walked to our room and noticed the hallways look outdated and worse for wear. When we got to our room it was also outdated and needs renovation as floor had stains, the ac unit would turn itself on when he had turned it off and was loud, the walls were quite badly scratched and the door had looked like it had been chewed on. Then when we went in the bathroom we noticed a towel with a brown stain on it. The shower would turn between Luke warm to then suddenly very hot. The underground track is very close so you can hear it from your room about every 10-15 minutes so if you’re looking for somewhere quite this may not be the place. Other than that it has fairly good location with food within walking distance and convenient shops and st pancreas station is a 10 minute walk away.
- lewiso224 (2/5): Not good enough. - Having traveled from near Birmingham and working till 10:30pm I was hoping to get a good nights rest. Arrived at the hotel at 11:30pm. Got to my room to be welcomed by very noisy air conditioning. I was quite tired so thought I’d live without it and turned it off. Changed into jammies and called home. Then noticed the lack of towels in the room. The aircon continued to turn itself on through the night. Presumably because the room was so cold.
When i checked out I was given the robotic answer, there’s a number to call for reception. Surely the bigger question is why sell a room that is either too cold or noisy to get a good sleep?
- auroraz2024 (10/5): Great value for money - Great value for money, it has everything you need. We found the place clean and the breakfast was amazing! The shower water pressure was a bit low and I would put a shower box instead of a curtain but everything else was super!
- Departure56765431983 (10/5): Great - Excellent stay staff friendly especially Dani Sian aurea Janet who made Xmas eve great, rooms good, cleanliness could be a lot better great value
- melaniecA7586GN (10/5): Brilliant - Brenda was such a superstar! Thank you so much for being so kind and welcoming. She was working with little staff and doing such a great job! Staff in the restaurant were also super friendly as well as the security! Defo recommend
- 122dianew (10/5): Very good - Very comfy rooms . Good selection on breafast & very tasty. Clean & tidy rooms & bar resturant. Very helpful staff & friendley
- simonmL9889HN (8/5): Review - Ir was quite good, the breakfast was very yummy and the fact the t the towels were changes every day was good, really liked it.
- Lewishines437 (2/5): Bedbugs !!!! - We had bed bugs for our first night our stay was ruined whilst breakfast was given and a room change no refund was provided we were told customer service will sort it for us on email but we’ve heard nothing. Itchy the whole stay ruined it for us.
- AndreaSRoberts (6/5): Place was tired, but staff were great. - The staff were very attentive and friendly, but the location was too far away from the tube system. Although, this made it a cheaper stay, you will spend money on getting taxi’s back at night. The whole place is very clean, but seriously needs repainting as it is tired.
- Adventure20299023381 (10/5): Great - It was my first hotel experience in London,
And I could say it was the best experience as soon as I entered the hotel at the reception I was welcome by miss Sita she welcomed and explain everything and she also recommended breakfast which was good thing. And the room wher good. I would definitely visit and recommend my friends and family.
- collettec2024 (6/5): Good basic stay - Good basic fare needs attention. Breakfast at over £12 was dried with rubbery scramble. Privacy compromised as hotel across can see straight in, requiring curtains to be shut all times. Hard pillows and no option of extra blanket when heating unit is too loud to have on at night. Nice staff but this hotel is not what the chain bigs itself up as in the tv ads.
- alicemariek2022 (2/5): Zero hygiene standards - The mattress protector had several large blood and urine stains, which we only discovered after stripping the bed before we left. Hygiene standards in this hotel are frankly non existent.
- 591felixj (10/5): 5/5 - Top stay. Andres was a star and so helpful. Would highly reccomend. Close to St Pancras and peaceful. Perfect for if you need to travel to central London. Great food in the area too and all in all just such worth the price bracket. Would choose this over a premier any day
- gb129 (10/5): Lovely, attentive staff made a difficult stay so much better. - Had some big problems with the room - no hot water and no heating, which were sorted with a new room by the time I returned from a very busy day. The person on reception when I came down in the morning was so helpful and kind. I unfortunately didn't get their name.
Thank you so much to Daniela who was on reception and Bar and to Andres on bar for being attentive and making sure everything was good for me.
It's not easy when the hotel doesn't work as it should and the team really have tried their best to help.
Really appreciated.
I last stayed in this hotel before the pandemic and it's being refurbished again and which it really does need, but the staff have really been great.
- I5414ROgaryp (10/5): A very happy customer - Just like to say a massive thank you to Aurea, Athar & Hanin for your customer service skills and all the help I'll highly recommend this hotel
Thank you
- geoffcB1129GM (10/5): Very good customer service - I had a very nice stay at this Travelodge. The staff were very lovely and helpful. I want to mention Alex at the reception on Monday night, she was very friendly and made me feel welcomed as soon as I arrived. Also, Ather at the bar was great, really nice and attentive. Overall, I had a great experience and would happily stay again thanks to the customer service I’ve received.
- ChrisbLondonVisit (10/5): A Great Place to Stay - Could not fault the service, the staff, room quality, evening meals and breakfast. A total convert to using Travelodge hotels Ideally situated for Kings Cross station and easy walking distance for the British Museum
- NickyfromSomerset (4/5): Disappointing - Pre-booked a quiet room by paying extra. Not advised selection not ready (checked in at 13.10 hours, paid for early check-in 12.00) First night spent in noisy room next to lift shafts - sounded like a train going past every few minutes. Lift also not working from our floor. 83 year old Mum had to continue to use the staircase (luckily she could). Cafe was closed/unavailable (till being replaced on one occassion) everytime we tried to use it.
- tonyg824 (2/5): I had forgotten how poor Travelodge are - Room 1 has no heating. Room 2 (where I slept) had heating but no hot water in the morning. And the power tripped so the lights went out. And breakfast was served from 7am meaning I missed it. But apart from that it was amazing
- illman973 (2/5): Don’t stay there - Although the staff were great this hotel was dirty and smelly and really dated, Our room smelled and the bathroom sink did not empty
- 462shaneg (10/5): Great - Great hotel and good location.all staff friendly
Big thanks to Daniela at the bar ,very pleasant and a credit to the company
- Louise200799 (10/5): Birthday Trip - Nice basic room, beds comfy and room clean, close to amenities. Overall a good base for a 1 night stay in London.
Room could do with a fridge though and maybe a set of draws for if anyone stays for more than 1 night.
Daniella behind the bar was very friendly, cheerful and helpful, quick service and always had a smile on her face 😀
- N3873UJkathym (10/5): Nice stay - Hanin and Ali were both helpful and charming . Ali helpful with parking the car and a quick explanation of local area . Hanin suggested I have a quiet room as I was here for work and up early .
- jillianp904 (10/5): 50th birthday trip - Highly recommended very helpful an clean local to everything would definitely stay again we came for a birthday trip to london
- Robbingham (10/5): Comfy stay - Nice comfortable staff in a nice central location (on 10 mins walk from King’s Cross).
Decor is a little tired but the bed was comfy and the team were all very friendly.
- Lydia55277282727 (2/5): Don’t go - Hotel stinks and very noisy. Would strongly recommend not going unless you wanna stay up all night. Thank god we were only there for the one night.
