Guest Reviews
- christina (8/5): st scottish trip - The hotel is getting ready for a facelift, but the staff were helpful and friendly, and the food was good.towels were changed daily, but strangly, the bed wasnt made???
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice and clean and staff friendly. An old property so no lift. Struggled with cases and bags to get to room
and a late check in 3pm.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good roadside hotel with friendly staff with off road parking and reasonable food
- Ronald (10/5): - All good!
- Jacqueline (8/5): Lovely room with a view - lovely room with scenic view. Delicious breakfast. Further from Kilwinning then I hoped Also read about the amazing shower, but didn't have that in room 10.
Also I had to pay extra for an early check in. Which was disappointing as I was going to a funeral
- Daniel (8/5): - Arrived late but very helpful staff and lovely food
- Amanda (6/5): Dalgarven - Hotel is looking tired and would benefit from an upgrade. Improvements need to be on point or they look sloppy!
Service was good and food was excellent.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Gor - Amazing service and staff
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Hotel is older with no upgrades except window replacement, feels like a hotel from 1940/1950s, pretty run down. Almost couldn’t take shower in morning due to lack of water pressure and water temperature inconsistency. The hot water heat didn’t kick in until after 8:30am. Hotel owners (a couple) were very nice.
- John (8/5): - Stopped on business not at hotel very long
- Jim (6/5):
- Staff were very friendly and food was very good but hotel decor in need of updating. unit on outside wall
humming loudly made it very hard to sleep.
- Shaun (8/5): Very pleasant stay. - I suppose you would call it rustic but very nice. The room was, although in need of a refurbishment in some areas, very comfortable with a lovely big bed. It had everything required for a good nights stay, the staff were very friendly and we had a very good meal in the restaurant. We didn’t look around the area but there was a mill next door which I believe is open to the public. Only had porridge for breakfast so can’t really comment on that.
- Lyndsay (10/5): Gorgeous place with beautiful surroundings - Perfect for a break away from everyday life, the owners were lovely and the food was delicious, we will be visiting again
- Elizabeth (10/5): Good stay - Breakfast was excellent but needed a bigger plate as it appeared piled up. Good stay will visit again
- Mark (10/5): Excellent stay - Great hotel, great staff, great stay !!
- John (10/5): Well worth a stay and the restauarant. - The food is absolutely amazing, especially the fries. You can tell a lot about a chef from his fries and these and triple cooked and perfect.
The Cajun chicken with salt and pepper fries is very very tasty and I thoroughly recommend it!
The hotel is very easy to get to and I have been staying here for the last 12 weeks without any slightest issue, only praise.
The wifi is excellent throughout the hotel with just a few low spots here and there which is to be expected with an old building.
- Sarah (10/5): Lovely hotel - Lovely hotel lovely staff shower needed looking at there was an incident on the evening that we stayed but was out of the controll of staff members and it will not stop us staying there again Staff were more than appologetic and resolved the situation well.
- Peter (2/5): Rubbish - Shocking hotel needs a complete refurbish ! Awful never again
- Neil (10/5): Great food - The restaurant st the hotel was superb & a great menu choice
- D F (8/5): - Very happy to stay again on next business trip
