- Jeanette (10/5): - Very unique and different comfortable and loved our stay
- Esteban (10/5): Highly recommended! - We had a fantastic weekend stay at this beautiful property. From the moment we arrived, Johnny made us feel incredibly welcome. He was a great host—friendly, attentive, and helpful with everything we needed throughout our stay. The place itself was beautiful, charming, and had everything we could have asked for. We truly loved every aspect of our visit and are already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommended!
- David (10/5): - 2nd time staying here. It was a perfect spot for our weekend getaway!
- Ryan (10/5): - Great getaway
- Elizabeth (10/5): Yes! Yes! Yes! - Ah-mazing! The best trip we’ve had in a long time. Roswell and Johnny are awesome hosts. The place was so well put together and fun and quirky at the same time. Very quiet and peaceful. We can’t wait to go back! The Oasis was a true gem. Great food and excellent drinks.
- Alexandrae (10/5): Amazing, cute, quaint, yet modern! - Amazing stay!! The owners are incredibly attentive and accommodating. The inn is so cute and has so much to do around it. The oasis has great food and tasty cocktails that are reasonably priced. All around amazing time. I highly recommend and will def be staying here anytime I visit Milford!!
- Jay (10/5): - Fun time. Johnny the owner was really nice - Will be back again
- Michael (10/5): - Quiet and well kept
- Katherine (10/5): - The most relaxing stay we’ve had in a long time. The cozy porch with hammock swings, and hot tub in the backyard area were my favorite parts. Room was handsomely appointed, and had a deep soaking tub in the bedroom. The steam shower was also a really nice touch. Will definitely be returning when we need to unwind
- elizabeth (10/5): - This place was very cozy and the owners were extremely attentive.
- marie (10/5): - Workers very friendly. Everything is closed Monday and Tuesday. We were no aware
- Benjamin (10/5): - Wonderful gem of a place on the Delaware river. Perfect spot to decompress for a while. Roswell & the entire staff were lovely throughout. Would love to return for a longer stay in the future.
- Steve (6/5): - it would be nice if the management was available. no one to call for towels, sheets, maintenance issues.
The bang bang bar staff were excellent and the food there was my favorite part
- Jonatan (10/5): - Beautiful place with great customer service. Johnny helped us and accomodated us in the best ways possible. I greatly appreciate all he has done for us.
- Melissa (2/5): - The owner was horrible ! Never ever had I had an experience like that ! Would not recommend at all
Very unhappy and I have to pay 220.00 to sleep with our jackets on , no heat in room and owner did not seem to care , he basically threw a space hater in our room and was annoyed !
- annabella (10/5): - Our stay at the Stickett Inn was amazing! Everyone there was super friendly and helpful. The room was very beautiful and charming and we loved waking up and walking across the street to the farmers market on Saturday! The river is right there and the town is upper cute with antique shops and such!
- Falon B. (10/5): - Loves your place and can not wait to come back !
- Jennifer (10/5): Such a Gem! - We stayed for a concert at nearby Bethel Woods and could not have been happier with the accommodations! The decor is great, comfortable room, and Joan and the Bang Bang bar made us feel so welcome! The tacos at the bar are also NOT TO BE MISSED! We will be back!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - No one answered the phone when we arrived to check in and we had to wait. The bar tender for their bar showed up and helped us, howrver had no knowledge of who we were or the reservations. Our room was not ready as a party happened the night before and someone from the party had slept in our room. They did upgrade us to a nice cleaned room. No instructions for checkout and we had to ask. Food and bar were excellent and I highly recommend the Rose Hard Cider.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I really wanted to give a higher rating. We enjoyed our stay. We liked the room. It isn't as bright and is more rustic than the pictures show, but still nice. The lower rating is because my calls prior to stay were not returned. Check in was confusing with instruction to dial a number that no one answered. I'm ok with my room not being cleaned while we were there, but not ok with having to buy toilet paper and not have fresh towels available. The staff at the bar were nice, but seemed confused as well.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The host was very friendly and extremely helpful. The property was designed beautifully and it was very close to the activates I was trying to do. I wish I would have to stood one more day to enjoy the outdoor jacuzzi. The place was a GEM, a cozy soho feel a home away from home. Definitely will book again!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent place to stay! Great, fun atmosphere. Lovely for a couples’ getaway or a trip with friends. Not especially kid friendly- which I loved about it.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great bar with local spirits and cider, and some yummy tacos and tamales. Friendly staff. Clean hot tub in back for shared use. Room was quite comfortable and creatively decorated!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This review is for our stay in the "Soak" room in February 2021 for my partner's birthday. We were the only ones there so we took advantage of the hot tub in the back, which was amazing even during the winter and surrounded by snow. The soak tub in the room was beautiful and relaxing and the room was well decorated with a cozy couch, bed and a cute retro cooler for our libations (and birthday cheesecake). There's an ice fridge in the hallway outside the door with a water cooler. There was also good food in the area and a drive up liquor store that also served some of the best wings ever. Be sure to check out the Bang Bang Bar which we were able to have a drink at one night. It was super cute and the bartender was very friendly. It reminded us of a cute neighborhood bar in Brooklyn.
The owners, Johnny and Roswell, made sure our stay was perfect. They were only a text or phone call away if we had any questions. We also had forgot something in the room and realized it when were back in NYC. Johnny was nice enough to drop it off at my partner's job when he was in the city. Thank you guys! For such great hospitality and we'll be seeing you again in the warmer months to come!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Quaint and unique. I was a little concerned about the floorboards as they creak some. I had to get up really early for a race and we were upstairs, so I hope the people below us couldn't hear me walking around.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great little inn, quality Anne either, big room, nice shower & tub - great staff
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Amazing staff. Beautiful room. Gorgeous views. Nice privacy in the back of the building for evening hangout
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Attentive service during Covid-19. AC filters needed to be cleaned.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very nice. Clean, friendly. Staff was very helpful and welcoming. Jacuzzi was very relaxing too
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Very dirty. The house wasn't cleaned too well. The shower curtain had mold. The cough looked old and dirty. Very limited plates and pans. The staff was nice but we just had a hard time enjoying the stay. Too expensive for the quality of the room provided.
- C Earl (6/5): Gritty, needs more attention - Ceiling fan was filthy, vent in bathroom was filthy, toilet water was orange. Service was great, though.
- Edward (10/5): - We are so happy to have found the Stickett Inn. We stayed two nights and loved both the Soak and Drink rooms. We we very glad to stay for dinner outside - the burritto was fabulous and don't think about skipping the cider. I had many during our stay. Johnny and Roswell are consummate hosts. If you're an early riser you can request the coffee machine for your room. So nice to see people be creative in their work. It really shows here. Can't wait to come again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): interesting place - Cute Inn in an amazing part of of the delaware river valley. Convenient location. Wonderful decorating
- Verified traveler (8/5): Had a great night. - Room was very clean. It's an older home that's been renovated so there are a lot of charming characteristics. I loved the decor and furniture and the bathroom/ shower was amazing. My only pseudo qualms were the TVs didn't work/ no connection, windows were old and couldn't open and the pull shades were quite wonky/ did not roll up.
Still a great stay, would recommend!
- David (10/5): - We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Stickett Inn. The staff couldn’t have been friendlier. The place is very cool and is located in a great area by the Delaware River. Highly recommended!
- N.Rubinov (8/5): - It is a very nice, clean and stylish hotel. The owners are amazing. The only thing is I didn't take in consideration - it is located right on the noisy and busy intersection. Was looking for something more quite.
But otherwise - highly recommended.
- Alba (10/5): - Everything was great I will definitely go there again
- Unhappyguest (2/5): - We arrived in the evening, no one answered the door or phone. The rooms were left with the keys in the door. We were asked that if we bring a dog, we do not leave her in the room to bark while we are away. In the 20 minutes we were at the door trying to figure out how to check in, a dog barked incessantly. Bottom line - we were not able to access the room and cannot recommend this place for any traveller.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was a nicely renovated property in a cool old house.
- Alli (10/5): - A beautiful, impeccably decorated Inn. Roswell and Johnny are very accommodating and the setting is beautiful and convenient.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - I loved the building and style and the lovely guy we met-but our tv was in a spot so uncomfortable. Our room was not cheap and we could not just relax after the day out and snuggle up in front of the tv.The water out of tap was brown so we were afraid to drink it. Went and bought a big jug for our dog.The restaurant and bar were closed.
No coffee machines so I had to get up and buy stuff instead of relaxing in a bit. and ice machine was pretty empty. Fridge was a wine cooler so no freezer. We had the dark blinds down -and felt like a photo darkroom really because we would have just been on display in that particular room. Loved the location and style though.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Amazing. And everywhere we went in town they said “Oh you’re staying with Johnny? Love him!” and then gave us above and beyond service.
- Chad (10/5): Awesome place - Awesome place
They have a great gem and really cool
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Super retro and out of the way. Nice clean rooms and an amazing area! Love it!
- Michael&Jan (10/5): - Very well done very nice people Very friendly and helpful.
- Susan (8/5): Funky Elegance with Tons of Space - Large living area with equally large sleeping area. My husband loved the steam shower. Bed was comfy too.
Although the owner, managers were not onsite, they were available to help via phone.
Would recommend this place to anyone coming through the area. The area is loaded with things to do and the scenery is lovely around the Delaware River. This was a perfect location to explore Museum at Bethel Woods (Woodstock) and other local museums, parks, beaches and historic monuments.
The very tongue in cheek name is a bonus 'cuz you can chuckle about it during your stay..
- Eileen (10/5): Stikett Inn is Awesome! - Roswell greeted us upon arrival and made sure everything was just right for us. We arrived earlier than we should have but he got us into a room anyway. The food at the bar was wonderful, beds comfortable, bathroom was huge and the entire Barryville area was amazing. What a great weekend vacation spot!
- Troy (8/5): - Stickett Inn is a nicely renovated roadside shack in the middle of nowhere. The rooms are large and the bed is very comfortable, but the place is basically a rustic cabin split into four rooms. The wi-fi works well which is an absolute necessity since there is no mobile carrier signal at this location. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. There's a really fun bar/restaurant in a separate building in front.
- Verified traveler (10/5): A+! - great place, great proprietors - very friendly and very tasteful rooms, even a hot tub!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Charming getaway - The Stickett Inn was kitchy and charming. The adjacent bar / coffee shop / retail shop was adorable, and we loved the tub in our room.
- Kathy (10/5): Cozy Cabin Feel - The "EAT" room was comfortable, clean and spacious. The natural lighting gave it a homey feeling. The staff were genuinely kind and welcoming. Thank you for that :). I was there by myself but felt safe and taken care off.
- Kim (10/5): Great place, sweet people, perfect stay. - Our 2-day stay was really nice. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The little coffee/alcohol bar/cafe located on the property was a little oasis. Even though it was small in size, it has everything a weary traveller could need, including gifts, excellent magazines, and gourmet snacks.
My one teeny tiny complaint is the shower head in our room. Rain showers should be illegal. They look and sound cool in theory, but in practice, if you have long hair, a rain shower turns a 5 minute shower into a 30 minute shower. It is impossible to get shampoo and conditioner out of long hair from the non-existent water pressure that comes along with that type of shower head.
Shower head notwithstanding, I would recommend this place to everyone!!
We will be back, and soon.
- Robert (10/5): A secret charm - This is a hidden gem!. A remodeled canal house with an incredible combination of 19th century austerity with modern creative decorative furnishings. Hot tub, fire pit, water sports, old time bowling alley and hotel across the bridge to Pa. Beautiful geography Just a wonderful experience and close to where the Woodstock concert was performed. The hosts are warm, accommodating and very personable. You will be very pleasantly surprised at how wonderful an experience this will be..
