Guest Reviews
- DaveFromTwickenham (10/5): Excellent once again - The checkin was super friendly, the room was well equipped, clean and comfortable and the location was perfect for exploring Brighton. We've stayed a number of time and the service and facilities have always been excellent.
- AsifK470 (10/5): Bridget is the BEST⭐️ - I had a really pleasant stay at Travelodge Brighton Seafront. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the beach and close to shops and restaurants.
Bridget at reception was very welcoming and helpful, making check-in quick and easy. The room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Brighton and would happily stay here again.
- 24novac (10/5): 10/10 night - the best service anyone could ask for 100 recommend to anyone who wants a good and relaxing stay thanks to
samantha bridget and genet
- danielsR9023LF (10/5): Great evening - Absolutely great service felt so comfortable
Thank you to Bridget, Samantha and Genet were so nice and helpful.
- alvinr398 (10/5): Great rooms - Samantha is a very good manager very welcoming service by Genet and Bridget.
- beccamC1743EU (10/5): Truly exceptional stay - The grandest Travelodge you’ll find, and easily the best hotel experience ever, all thanks to the incredible Igor at the front desk.
- Loppylu69 (10/5): Brighton west street travel lodgr - Great staff and location. Have stayed here before and will go back as the staff are amazing. Really nice atmosphere at this hotel
- figgy1978 (6/5): Average - Great location on the sea front. Room was comfortable and quiet. Bed comfortable.
Shower pressure was awful. Dribbles.
Was good having the window open in the room but would not be comfortable in the summer as no air con and just a small fan provided.
- 903anonymousa (6/5): Friendly staff, very limited gluten free/celiac friendly main meals. - Location is close to beach, but you can’t see it through the window, just a building instead. The room was okay, although we payed £90 for one night, and have just seen that we could have stayed at the Hilton hotel which looked much fancier and does have a sea view ,for £100. Nicky welcomed us and she was absolutely lovely and very helpful, as were all the staff.
The main thing we were really disappointed with was the lack of gluten free/celiac friendly meals available on the dinner menu especially. The only main options were 2 curries, which took 40minutes to turn up, and there was not a gluten free menu even available, nor was I asked about my allergies. There was also no gluten free bread options for breakfast.
- georgesH1680VA (10/5): Seeing friends, night out - Lovely view from the room, top floor - lovely customer service and room was just what was needed, would recommend if in Brighton
- nicolasV5999AO (6/5): Overnight stay in Brighton - The room was clean and finished to a good standard. The bed was very comfortable. There was some street noise until the early hours but that is the expected in the centre of Brighton. Location was good. The only criticism which was a shame was breakfast way very poor quite a few of the choices were empty and not replenished despite a long wait. This is not a criticism of the staff they were doing there best and were clearly under staffed.
- lucyaT2220XR (10/5): Hotel experience - Lovely staff, clean hotel, seem very friendly, bedding was nice and clean.
- hollycA6662WY (10/5): Reception lady, you’re fab. - Lovely lady at the front desk was super helpful, friendly and welcoming. Greeting with so much positivity and a friendly smile really makes a big difference to someone’s day. The rest of the staff were also lovely and full of insight for recommendations.
Room and rest of the hotel were well presented and clean, you get a lot for your money and so close to the beach too!
- Cosmopolitan691865 (10/5): Amazing - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional Stay – Highly Recommended
I had a truly wonderful experience at Travelodge Brighton Seafront, and I would especially like to recognise Natasha for her outstanding service.
From the moment I arrived, Natasha was warm, welcoming, and incredibly professional. She went above and beyond to ensure everything about my stay was comfortable and seamless. Her friendly manner, attention to detail, and genuine willingness to help made a real difference and created a very positive experience.
It is rare to encounter someone who combines professionalism with such natural kindness. Natasha is clearly an asset to the hotel and reflects the high standard of service guests hope to receive.
Thank you, Natasha, for making my stay so pleasant. I would happily return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Brighton.
- sem0ned (10/5): Tasha staff - I just wanted to leave a special thank you to Tasha at Travelodge Brighton Seafront. 🌟
From the moment we arrived she was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and professional. Tasha went above and beyond to make our stay feel special. She took the time to talk us through the available add-ons and recommended a bottle of wine, which was a lovely touch and really added to our evening.
Her customer service was outstanding — warm, genuine, and attentive without being pushy. It’s staff like Tasha who make a stay memorable and reflect really well on the hotel.
Thank you, Tasha, for your amazing service and for making our visit to Brighton even better! 🍷✨
- N1826VTgeorgiaw (10/5): Great location, great staff - Igor in reception is awesome. Polite and even though run off his feet - he got everyone checked in, luggage stored and let into the toilets all in one amazing swoop.
- lisamS3856BH (10/5): Review - Clean hotel
Friendly staff
Lovely breakfast and a really good location
- garytR6862PU (10/5): Review - Had a really nice night staff were more than helpful. Clean and tidy rooms . And breakfast was good . I’ll definitely return
- bhuddaw2025 (10/5): My go too - I travel from Essex to Brighton a handful of times throughout the year. This place is my first go to if I’m staying in Brighton. The standards are VERY good it’s easy to use. I got exceptional customer service from Nikki on the front desk and the staff are happy and friendly too! I recommend- however I do feel the rooms can be overpriced at times but to be honest once you’ve stayed once you know it’s worth staying again in the future
- T6063RPadrianar (10/5): Great seafront stay for a quick trip - Clean room with coffee and the kindest front desk receptionists!
- R9354XTjameso (10/5): Seaside views! - Great hotel, Bridget and Nicky were great, very accommodating and welcoming both morning and evening! Will definitely be back! Thanks a lot
- abegaelt (10/5): Great hosts - Bridget and nicki were great thank you!!
- Y5204ATbenjaminw (10/5): Great stay - Great experience, Lovely staff, Samantha a great help, off for a nice stroll on the beach and greasy spoon!
- Q7478LJsimonh (10/5): Everything good. Great value - Everything was good. Cost was very affordable. Would come back.
- dericksonr2026 (10/5): Great Stay - Having a wonderful stay,I slept like a baby. When I woke I thought I was at home because I was so comfortable with the lovely mattress.
All the staff are wonderful, the senorita Elvira and Samantha and Angelina all wonderful.
Breakfast was great, thanks to the chef
- T7348OWpeterw (8/5): Brighton travelodge. - After looking at recent reviews we were a bit sceptical about this hotel. We came to Brighton to take part in the half marathon so it was on a very busy weekend. But can honestly say that our stay was a good one. All the staff we encountered through the hotel were friendly, helpful and professional. We had booked a ‘super’ room and were given two rooms on the 8th floor. Both rooms were very clean on our arrival and both were stocked with coffee and tea at the little station, with a hot chocolate and Kitkat. A stack of clean fresh towels waited in the bathroom. There is a few items around the hotel that need a little maintenance and the outside/foyer area could do with a clean but overall for a budget stay in a budget room it was absolutely fine.
We had the buffet style breakfast on one of our mornings and there was plenty of choice and the food was checked and replenished frequently so was very good value.
- D5915KBnadinea (10/5): Great location and friendly service - Sam the manager was very helpful, and friendly she was able to answer any questions. We got a lovely sea view room and the room was very clean and tidy. It was fully stocked with tea, coffee and hot chocolate. The bed was comfortable and I had a lovely nights sleep. The breakfast had a variety of items and also catered for me being coeliac with all food items being labelled for allergens. The hotel was in an excellent location and very close to the local amenities. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.
- scottaF9152SA (10/5): Friendly …good atmosphere…clean and tidy and great location and great breakfast - Decided to spend my 56th Birthday in Brighton and we spent the evening at the Travelodge on the seafront and what a good decision that was …..friendly welcome by reception and the room with a sea view was excellent…clean and tidy and well stocked with tea/coffee and everything we needed. Bed was very comfortable ….room quiet and breakfast was superb (extra mention for the bacon it was breakfast cooked). Will definitely be staying here again in the summer months . Location was also the best it could have been easy access to everything we required.
- deelikesholidays (10/5): Over night stay - I stayed here with partner midweek over night-
Saw many negative reviews, but I couldn’t fault anything-
Were on the 8th floor quiet and sea view. Only negative was room a little cool so there was an extra heater which we used, solved problem and the shower curtain in bathroom slightly black but again could be fixed with frequent changes of curtain.
Overall was very clean, staff all very welcoming.
Location was perfect very close to seafront at bottom of road, and walking distance to lanes and town.
Saw a lot of negative reviews about carparking, but the travel lodge website states ncp carpark is behind hotel, and to down load app, which I did and scanned QR code on way in and on way out and paid just over £14 for 24 hrs which I was very pleased with. It’s also a 2 minute walk from hotel-
Heard no noise from club at bottom of road even though it was open on Wednesday evening and also no noise from the bars opposite-
We ate in Wetherspoons for evening meal, it was very busy and full of a lot of students - but that’s was fine.
We had bfast in hotel which was plentiful and fresh- asked for.l vegetarian sausages which are cooked fresh to order-
Overall a lovely stay, for what you need to get head down after walking the sights of Brighton. Would definitely stay there again as location, car-parking and staff made it.
- Sassywentz (6/5): Unlikely to come again - We booked an accessible super room.
Checking in was easy.
Upon arrival to the room we noticed there was a half drunk Dr Pepper can on the windowsill and the wet room was rusty in places, moss growing, plus barely any space to put toiletries.
The super room is advertised as having extras like a coffee machine, hot chocolate, chocolate treats, iron, hairdryer, king sized bed and extra soft pillows.
There was a coffee machine but no hot chocolate or chocolate treats. I asked for some hot chocolate on our second day as it was an extra but felt awkward asking for the chocolate treat. The staff member was confused and said "but you're on floor 1, those are for super rooms." I had just explained we paid for a super room and another staff member reminded the other its the accessible super room.
I also asked at another point for a hairdryer. The response i got was "we dont put hairdryers in the rooms but I could get you one." Interactions seemed alittle stand offish and not pleasant.
We also had to ask for a remote as there wasn't one in the room.
Beds aren't overly comfortable. The sheets were horrible, felt like sand paper. And certainly wasnt king sized. They were two singles put together.
Also holes in the duvet covers.
Coffee machine was really nice and makes a strong coffee.
Room itself has plenty of space for wheelchairs and mobility aids. Two chairs in room.
Some noise outside at night but nothing to disturb too much.
Having a shower in the wet room practically soaks over half the floor. The drain is in a very off set place. Luckily we put towels down other wise it would be so slippery and the water would run to the door.
The best thing about this travel lodge is the location. Close to the shopping centre, town, Lanes, sealife centre, escape rooms and pier. Plenty of choice for food and drink around.
Incredibly disappointed. Room is nothing like advertised.
- Felipejfa1 (2/5): Run away from this hotel - Staff not friendly at all! Everything you need to pay extra!! Be carful with extra bill on your checkout!!!!!
- cherylwU9083BF (10/5): Brilliant stay exceptional service - We had a really lovely stay at the Brighton Travelodge. The hotel was clean, comfortable and in a great location for exploring Brighton.
A special shout out to Bridget on reception — she was absolutely wonderful. So warm, positive and genuinely helpful from the moment we arrived. She made us feel really welcome and couldn’t do enough to help. It’s always the people who make a stay memorable, and Bridget really did that for us.
Thank you for such a pleasant experience — we will definitely return
- crazycaker (4/5): There is no parking! - It was insinuated on the website that there was parking. There was not. I had to park in a multi storey nearby and walk, on my own, in the dark, down dark back alleys to get to the hotel. I was there for 11 hours and I was charged £34. If I had known there was no parking I would have gone elsewhere. The room was small but clean. facilities were lacking (tea/coffee etc had not been topped up) The food was edible. The staff were lovely however.
- 495sazsw (8/5): Anniversary stay - Nice clean room. There was no plug sockets next to the bed which was tricky for us both as we use CPAP machines at night due to sleep apnea. But the hotel staff were lovely and provided us with an extension cable. It was noisy at times in the room but you cannot expect more being in a city! And there was nothing they could do about that. Lovely unlimited breakfast. We also had the evening meal and they overcooked our mains so it was tough to cut and chew them! We were also annoyed to find we still had to pay for our drinks too considering what we had already paid. We advise to park at the Laines car park as it can be reasonably priced and is nice and close to the hotel and seafront.
- H8603HHgs (10/5): 10/10 - Always such a pleasant stay at the eseafront Travelodge , staff are always lovely to talk to , we really like Bridget - always greets us with a positive attitude and big smile and Dan for his help thanks to the manager Elvira for her genuine care.
- N6807HFgeorgiaw (10/5): Really lovely - We had a lovely experience staying in the travel lodge. Really lovely location by the beach and lots to do. Very clean and perfect for a base point.
- Breezy079 (6/5): Honest review - I stayed at this hotel for my wedding, and while the staff were genuinely lovely and welcoming, especially to my dog, the room itself was a huge disappointment.
Every member of staff I interacted with was kind and friendly, and many took the time to say hello, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, despite this, the room I was given was completely unsuitable for a wedding stay. It was extremely small and cramped, with no space to get ready for such an important day. There was no coffee or sugar in the room, no towels provided, and no hairdryer—I had to request these from reception.
Given the significance of the occasion, I expected a room that felt special or at least comfortable. Instead, it felt more like a tiny student room than a wedding suite, which was very upsetting on such a meaningful day.
My partner and I still had an amazing wedding, but sadly the hotel room and facilities were not at all what we needed or expected for our wedding night.
- P1420OCalisonb (10/5): Great - Nicky was amazing from the moment we arrived till we left nothing was a problem, we would definitely come here again
Nicky get 5 starts from us
- R2084QBshellyw (10/5): Great stay in Brighton - Room basic and small but clean. Very good welcome on arrival, and first impressions are important. Igor on the front desk was excellent, from the first contact when booking in, until checking out. Our thanks and the credit he deserves.
- Climber50674262133 (10/5): Excellent - Bridget was a fantastic aide and really took time to provide bespoke service to my group. Thank you =)
- Seaside33687226690 (8/5): A Good Stay - Standard room for a budget hotel. Good location in walking distance of restaurants and bars. Bar is open 24/7. Friendly Staff. Would at there again.
- Traveller15674 (4/5): Grim - I was hoping for a great room given the brand refresh of Travelodge, but it was not to be. The bar and dining is pretty contemporary, but the room was poor. It felt poorly maintained and dirty. Stained carpet in the corridor, stickers peeling on the inside of the lifts, back of room door scratched, desk lamp dirty and pitted, debris under the bed, hair on the carpet, hair in the shower, marks on the walls. Had to go to reception to collect an iron and board (remember, like in the old days).... altogether an unloved hotel, that appears to be battered by stag dos and hen parties coming down for a weekend - but to be honest, if I was them, I would go elsewhere.
- Snappyzachy (6/5): Hotel has sadly recently gone down hill - I’ve stayed here for years and I’ve always loved it the staff are incredible but this current stay the staff was still amazing but the new management has changed the hotel for worse and not only did I not get an apology from management about room issues but she refused me basic necessities in regards to condiments and proceeded to argue in an unprofessional manner. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel anymore and will be looking elsewhere when I stay next in Brighton.
- 427kevw (10/5): Bravo to Bridgett - Last minute Me and my partner needed some close to Brighton seafront. Not only was the travelodge the cheapest and the closest to where we needed to be for the following day but when we arrived we where greeted by Bridgett who was literally a ball of customer service energy.. she was awesome. Helped with everything we had questions about and even found us a room Similar to a super room without the extra cost. A credit to the travelodge team
- 830dazs (10/5): Brilliant bridget - Bridget was immense on front desk ,because we was here for business and multiple bookings over the 3 week stay. She sorted and did with different rooms over different times .hats off
- P2976RAisraelb (10/5): Good experience - There is a good service of the hotel, room was clean, and Amazing supervisor and very kind we had a good experience in this hotel
- kevinzX8161FZ (10/5): Customer service - The supervisor was really lovely and such a great smile and personality. We had a great time in Brighton. Thanks to all of you.
- Lady-Best66 (10/5): Fun at the Lodge - Most enjoyable Christmas time with friendly staff and great guest in a good atmosphere. The facility was good although the overall could do with a touch up of paint here and there but my stay was good and the bed was really comfy and it was in a great location for both Sea 🌊 and Shopping on the doorstep.
- 382bellar (10/5): Lovely staff - Great experience lovely staff, Bridget at reception was very helpful and kind, easy check in and out, lovely breakfast. Couldn’t ask for a better stay.
- Guide16236980142 (10/5): Brilliant customer service - Samantha, and the beautiful spanish lady were brilliant, totally professional and very helpful. Also Ivan on the night shift.
- 717franc (10/5): Fantastic quality, location, value and cleanliness in the heart of Brighton - Excellent in every way. The knowledgeable receptionist - Dan - went out of his way to give us the best available room with a sea view ❤️- and was extremely friendly, efficient and courteous. Add the fact that this was such a brilliant deal we are so very grateful for our much needed little mini break ! Thanks Dan and Travellodge - once again!
- 473syedq (10/5): Asked for a sea view and I was provided one! - I had a very good stay I was only here for just a night but decided to stay longer as the staff were very welcoming and friendly especially Genet
Who went above and beyond to find me the nicest room and accommodate all my needs I will be coming back and thank you all the team members
- OllieC02 (10/5): Great service, Bridget was fantastic! - Lovely experience, Bridget was extremely helpful and friendly when we checked in. Security guy was really friendly too, staff seem great overall, room was good value for money too.
- willow178 (8/5): Good location, friendly staff. - I would give this place a 3 and a half star if I could.
On the day we went - there were 2 staff on duty in reception - they were super! Very friendly - just what you want when you go into a hotel. The bed was very comfy. On the downside. There is no controlled access to the lifts and therefore the floor areas are open to everyone. The shower curtain was too short allowing lots of water to spill onto the floor. In conclusion I would say that for the price paid the room and location are great. Would stay again.
- arthurgugan (10/5): Could not have been any better - Front of house staff, fantastic, welcoming, helpful and friendly without being too friendly, flagship member of staff, following the concert , we returned and the Bar staff were just as good, why would you go anywhere else in Brighton??
- davidsarahChatham (8/5): Good but far from faultless - Single night stay for show at theatre royal, 10min walk. Parked at regency square £35 for 24 hours ouch but that’s Brighton, 5 minute walk. Check in great, friendly, speedy. Room 804 (upgraded) Got in lift, had ripped floor, filthy doors (great first impression) Very squeaky journey up. Got to room, someone obviously kicked the door in previously, very poor looking (but secure) repair. Walked in, light switch seemed so far from door (was dark outside so no natural light). Compact but clean enough, chair looked grubby but not sure if that was style (didn’t sit on it haha). Only 30mins free WiFi, that’s fine, good mobile signal in room. Compact room, not much hanging space, teabags a bit scummy. Bathroom small but ok, paint flakes on floor from scraping somewhere, flushes well, shower great, clean enough but no shelf (not the only hotel that does this) shower curtain just reaches floor, heating a pain, kept resetting to 20 degrees, was chilly on our visit, set to 23 whilst we could. Light switches above bed dimmed but couldn’t turn main lights on or off from there. 1 of 4 usb sockets broken RHS bed. Slept really well, nice bed for me. Breakfast was fine, fruit salad a bit mushy, but rest perfectly acceptable and quiet at 915. All in all a decent nights stay, in a good location, not sure I’d pay for the upgraded room on the quiet floor in future, but wouldn’t rule it out as most things are easily fixed and the staff were great
- 195kevr (10/5): Always a great stay very near the sea... even on wet windy days... - Always a great stay, staff are friendly and efficient, and Bridget on reception is a credit to the company. Always spotlessly clean rooms, in great location 2 minutes from the seafront and near many restaurants , pubs .
- 837carolinem (6/5): Very basic but sufficient - Very basic but sufficient i stayed here for one night following a concert at the Brighton Centre I booked it because it's practically next door 2 minutes if that. Check was quick although I did have to queue as only one receptionist at 3pm fairly standard now. Room very basic facilities it contained a bed and a shower what else does one need for one night, it was clean enough but hadn't been hoovered floor was very bitty I found somebody else's earring back on it. Can't comment on parking as I travelled by train if I had a car probably would've gone home after concert. Also can't comment on breakfast as I didn't partake.
- 303JPDL (10/5): Had a wonderful stay - I read the reviews and thought the worse! I also checked and most people said to stay on a high floor and at the back, which we did, we picked 720 as it was an end room and slightly bigger. It was great, clean, airy and more than I expected. Mattress was a bit hard but slept fine and the coffee sachets were not great but tea okay. Seaview was good also, I would have chosen any of the rooms along this part and even a few floors down in the same location so had no issues whatsoever. The bar area was realy nice and chilled and the reception staff very helpful and friendly. I would definately go back and stay!
- LASUSSEX01 (10/5): Brilliant Brighton - Had a great stay, the hotel was clean and everyone made us feel welcome. Breakfast was brilliant
Great location bar was very handy, will be staying again
- N562AJoliviae (10/5): One of the best Travelodge in the UK - Second time staying here and exquisite service from top to bottom. Special mention to Bridget for her excellent service!
- U4900TEivanr (6/5): I do not recommend . - Stayed recently for a concert.
Room was ok ,quite small for price but most things were clean, not all though.
The shower curtain was dark brown and slightly mouldy at the bottom which was pretty gross imo.
Chair arms in room were filthy to the point I didn't sit in it.
Rest of the room was find apart from the hole in the wall.
Unfortunately the biggest problem was the incredible amount of noise all night from the clubs / bars below.
We were on the 8th floor (top floor)
and it was so loud that I didn't sleep till nearly 5am.
The screaming and shouting from the people in the streets onto of the thumping music was relentless.
Yes of course I closed the windows before you ask.
Of course this wasn't the hotels fault but the location is obviously in the wrong place.
I stayed in 'The Grand ' few months ago which was only a bit more but a completely different experience with much larger rooms and cleanliness too.
For the money I would not stay here ever again.
- 258lamonk (10/5): Used the opportunity to choose room - I booked this for my son whilst he was viewing new properties in the Brighton/Hove area. He needed to work and therefore we used the opportunity to choose a room which worked really well. Room, food and staff were all wonderful.
- Toastie1971 (6/5): Disappointed - I first got into the room and the window was open so it was freezing cold in there. Immediately closed it and ramped up the heating. I asked for s super room. To be honest the only difference from a standard room was a coffee machine. No fridge, no safe, really small bathroom. I only stayed 2 nights but the room wasn't cleaned 2nd day so I had to ask for more coffee etc. Not value for money unfortunately. Next time I'll stay some place else.
- E6983JJdb (10/5): Great Stay - We had a great two night stay. It was very cheap and central to all attractions. Bridget was very friendly and a fantastic help!
- DaveFromTwickenham (10/5): Another excellent stay at Brighton Seafront Travelodge - We have stayed at the Brighton Seafront Travelodge many times and it never fails to satisfy. The check in is always smooth, helpful and friendly, the rooms are comfortable and well equipped and the location is fantastic.
This time we had another excellent stay and we inadvertently left a phone charger behind and I called the hotel and Bridget explained the best way to get it returned. I followed the instructions and the day after I got a confirmation to say it was on it's way. So the service is not only excellent during our stay, it's excellent after the stay as well 😊.
- Chipper9974 (10/5): Great Central Base !! Recommend. - Myself and friend stayed here for the weekend . Rooms and general areas were clean and tidy and made for a comfort stay at a reasonable price. Would like to give a mention to Nicky the lady in the bar area who was extremely helpful with a refreshing ‘can do’ attitude even though she was very busy. Will stay again and recommend.
- MouseyLund (4/5): Insect bites whilst sleeping. - Booked in for 5 nights as was working in Brighton. Friendly staff, comfy room, good breakfast, v.reasonable price BUT - I like lots of pillows so on 3rd night (11th November) I took extra pillow from shelf above the single bed and put it on double bed where I was sleeping. Next morning I had some kind of insect bites on right shoulder and arm (I always sleep on my hand side). The next night, more bites. Was v. Busy so bought hydrocortisone cream and got on with my day. Itching from bites got worse so photographed the arm bites and told the super nice guy on reception, Igor, about this as I checked out. He suggested I email the hotel which I did (including photos of arm). He efficiently emailed straight back to say that he would pass on to management.
To date I have received no response. So, reported on 13th November. Today is 20th November.
Room no. was 104.
Poor do!
- johnhC6721GM (2/5): Brighton - The room we were given was disgusting the carpet was wet and had mould growing on it the bathroom was in poor condition.
- SteveT44555 (2/5): Poor stay - Where to begin. First off the usb sockets by bed didn’t work. This is the second time I’ve stayed in the Brighton travelodge where they don’t work.
Also bought wifi for 2 days, and then it refused to load after the first time so that was a waste of money!
Then to top it off my floor had a full power cut. I assume to do with all the drilling I heard right by my room, I waited 45 minutes to see if it would come come back on but when it didn’t I used the stairs to go down to desk to find it was only our floor, and the desk lady didn’t even know about it. Thankfully she was able to move me to a different room (the plug sockets by bed didn’t work in that one either!)
So overall an unpleasant stay, which will make me think twice about going there again.
I will say that the staff were very friendly and helpful but that’s the only positive thing I can say
- Sue_London_7 (10/5): Great! - I was worried having read some reviews but honestly it was clean, quiet & comfortable. The staff are extremely professional & friendly.
- 233myf (2/5): Awful stay - We stayed here for two nights. The first thing we noticed is the free Wi-Fi ends after half an hour. How ludicrous in this day and age. After that is is chargeable and difficult to access. I have travelled all over the world and this is the first time I have encountered this apart from once in Las Vegas. Even then it was free for the first two devices.
The room was filthy both inside and out. The windows were so dirty it was difficult to see out of them. The dust levels were horrendous. Mold in the bathroom and blood stains on the mattress.
We had to change our food order at the bar and the member of staff was very rude, sighing and complaining while he altered the request.
The noise was terrible during the night, the location of the hotel doesn't help as we picked up the sounds of revelers leaving the nightclub every morning.
I will not be returning.
- vjsue (8/5): What I expected for a budget hotel - We booked to attend an event at the Brighton Centre. Room was comfortable and clean. I pre booked a room that did not overlook any roads so it was very quiet and even had a sea view! Staff were friendly and it is what a would expect for a budget hotel.
- WMSail (6/5): Not their best Travelodge, cheap, but would not go back. - Room was clean, window would not shut, so very noisy with trucks unloading all hours of the night. Staff very friendly and helpful. Front of the building was absolutely filthy, so does not look very welcoming. Toilets were filthy with mess everywhere and no toilet paper in some toilets. Would not go back.
- Colinbusterc (8/5): Great hotel - Great staff and great cleanliness. Good size room and very comfortable bed.shower was ok and the room was well aired
- oliviagC3126BH (10/5): Great easy stay - We stayed for a conference and the hotel was perfect - clean and tidy. We spoke to the manager who also works at the Bournemouth seafront Travelodge (where we are from) and she was incredibly friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again!
- lizzie153 (6/5): Disappointing Stay - Disappointing stay, will not return again.
On check-in I was allocated a room on the 5th floor but was asked if i would like to change, I said I would like a room that was not at the front of the hotel in a quiet area. I was allocated a room on the second floor but the member of staff said I think that will be ok but I am new and don’t know much s out the rooms. It was not a the front but late evening it was far from quiet, doors banging and lots of noise, that along with the bed being so uncomfortable I did not get much sleep at all. The shower was not very clean, no bathmat. Also disappointed to find there was no hairdryer in the room, for the price they charge this should supplied.
Not worth the value especially with the extra charges for parking as well. Will not return.
- Neil_Brock (6/5): Well located Travelodge - Room was well kept but was far too hot.
The window only opened a bit and the only way to getting any cool air was to use the fan supplied. No air conditioning unit like in most Travelodges I've stayed at.
There were loads of hair stuck in the plug hole, so it looks like the basin hadn’t been checked / cleaned
Parking costs are a nightmare. There are a couple of multi storey car parks nearby. We had a Blue badge so were okay but I heard other guests mentioning this to reception.
This aside, it is right by the sea front so easy access to the town and all attractions.
- MartinW119 (10/5): Beautiful Brighton Break - Great Hotel ideally situated very close to the Brighton Seafront.
Very helpful and friendly staff gave a warm welcome and left me feeling my custom was appreciated.
- ch321123 (10/5): Very enjoyable stay - Lovely clean spacious room, comfortable bed and very friendly, helpful staff plus the added bonus of being central and very close to the seafront.
- andrewleczycki (8/5): Lex the Legend - Comfortable stay, breakfast good and the location very good, 5 minutes walk to the beach, 10 / 15 minutes walk to the lanes shopping area restaurants / bars. I will use Travelodge again. Thank you
- Z6693SGnataliaa (10/5): Great experience and lovely staff - Had a lovely stay for a long weekend at the travelodge, the location is perfect and Nicky on reception was incredibly helpful and friendly. Would recommend.
- Bugs-and-Bif (8/5): Great location, comfortable and value for money. - Great location, good value. Staff always friendly even when they are short staffed. Rooms and beds comfortable. Happy hour in bar and good Breakfast.
- mlcolebrook (10/5): Good value for money in Brighton - Nice comfy, clean room. Great view of the sea. Friendly staff. Don't be fooled by the grubby exterior. Very clean inside.
- Mishthemodeller (6/5): Great hotel but avoid eating in - Lovely room, clean, quiet, comfortable and well appointed. However my stay was ruined by the inability of the kitching to offer half the menu. Breakfast being self service was not practical for someone who needs crutches to walk.
- tlc252025 (4/5): Rooms full of dust - Not a great experience, rooms full of dust, moved to a new room that was full of dust. Soap dispenser empty. Lift floors dirty. No one asks about does anyone have an allergy at breakfast. VERY IMPORTANT
- MartinD2738 (10/5): Great location and value - Friendly staff, recently refurbished. Great location for seafront, Brighton Centre and The Lanes. Would recommend.
- KazDorset (2/5): will not be staying here again - Wet and mouldy carpet in the room with a smell of mould.
Moved to alternative room but this was now on the busy side of the hotel, extremely noisy from nightclub opposite. Had pre-paid and chosen room, to make sure that it was quiet.
Staff training due to their attitude required. Issues made to feel over exaggerated or own fault.
Hotel requires maintenance. Strategically place buckets in public areas to catch water from leaking roof
- 721azamc (2/5): let anybody in and room was noisy and breakfast was a rip off - First of all , was ignored by the check in lady and another customer had to inform them i was waiting. Room was good but very noisy from my room at the back of the Hotel. But here's the real Trouble point. They don't check people coming in for breakfast and I'm sure many people came in off the street. One guy was belching, coughing and had a carry bag full of beer at 9am in the morning. Obviously come in off the street for a free breakfast. I'm guessing a few others were getting a freebie too. I actually had to find a member of the reception team to be marked off for breakfast. Nobody else was being checked off. As it is the breakfast is not worth 11.99. worst breakfast food quality at a Travelodge that I have ever experienced. Weatherspoons is a few doors down and cheaper. Go there. wont be using this Travelodge ever again.
- janp600 (8/5): Basic - Our room was a Plus room but was extremely small, the hand-wash was empty and the noise from outside was bad, room was hot but we had to shut the window. There was a fan but it didn’t work that well and was very dirty. Very good breakfast though and it was hot so always a plus. I would stay there again as it was nice and central but I would want a room on the opposite side of the hotel.
- JetSetter03 (6/5): Great location shame about the room - Stayed for business. No parking, but can park nearby. Location great. Friendly staff. Great bar. Room and bathroom smelt of urine. Plug hole in shower wasnt clean and had mould in corner of shower too. Colleagues room presented much better.
- Snappyzachy (10/5): Great value for your money - I stay here when I visit Brighton and the staff are always so lovely and welcoming, the dinner menu definitely needs some work but that’s a general issue nothing to do with this hotel directly and very little noise from inside the hotel unless you get loud neighbours which sadly happens as the walls are quite thin but overall I’d say if you were staying in Brighton I’d 100% recommend this place to stay
- Citrus789 (8/5): Stand out staff - The evening staff Bridgett and Aaron went above and beyond and I cannot praise them enough.
However, the morning staff could learn something from these two!!
- yvetteb923 (2/5): Poor accessible room - The room appeared old and grubby. The accessible bathroom floor was slippery when wet, so was not safe to use for a less able person. There were no grab rails in the bedroom. There were a limited amount of grab rails in the accessible bathroom, which were needed as I felt unsafe on the flooring. I would be reluctant to stay in an accessible room in a Travelodge again.
- JaneH1978 (8/5): Much better than expected! - This hotel is in a fantastic central location. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. We had a one night stay in rooms on the 7th floor. The rooms appeared to have been recently refurbished. The bed was comfortable, there was no noise from adjoining rooms or the corridor. I was pleasantly surprised at how great it was! Breakfast was ok and good value. Highly recommended.
- FarAway621525 (2/5): Fire alarm mayhem!! - I stayed in the travel lodge with my daughter. We were awoken at 4am by the fire alarm which continued to sound until 7am. We had to stand out in the street in our pyjamas. I understand that an alarm is one of those things but for it to be going off for hours on end and none of the staff knew what to do about it is not acceptable. I have asked for a refund and they have refused. Instead they have told me it was turned off very quickly which is utter lies! I have video evidence of us all stood in the street for hours and they are refusing to even have a telephone conversation with me. Their customer service is diabolical! Avoid at all costs!!!
- eddie_ths (8/5): Clean and conveniently located - Room was clean and hotel is quiet even though it is facing a main road. Excellent location near the waterfront and The Lanes where there were a lot of food options. Also next to a mall and within walking distance (about 750m) to train station
- ianmarshall1309 (6/5): Great location. Issues outside the hotels control - Building works opposite was very loud in the morning. Room was hot and general traffic and revelers can be heard.
- 2andsombris (8/5): BEST TRAVELODGE BEEN TO IN GREAT LOCATION - The best Travelodge I've been to. Great location and easy to find one building off the sea front not far from The Pier, west end of The Lanes just across the road and just down from the central Clock Tower. It is also walkable with luggage from the railway station. Sea views are available from the higher floor rooms and it is possible to leave luggage for a few hours after check-out. A very good unusual Indian restaurant shares the same building and a Wetherspoons is only a few yards away. The staff were helpful, efficient and friendly. The room was a good size and quiet, the bed very comfortable. Will be staying there again
- irishlittles (8/5): Good! - Had a lovely visit to Brighton and enjoyed our stay in the Travelodge. Room was perfectly as described, clean and well equipped and staff were all very friendly and helpful.
