- Mogamat (5/5): - The photos advertising the place look very inviting and really beautiful, and i was fooled by it. The lack of comfort became very obvious as a storm lashed the area. The neighbouring room had their tv running loudly for 2 days nonstop. To get some sleep, one had to bang on the wall to make them stop. There is no lounge or suitable space to escape the confinement of the very basic room. With the bad weather there was nothing to do in the area.The breakfast wasn't very satisfying either. Three cheap cereals and a bowl of lemons on the buffet, the eggs on toast was meagre, and I got charged €7.80 for a bowl of fruitsalad because I was still hungry afterwards. Extremely disappointing, not to be recommended, I left feeling very frustrated and actually quite annoyed.

- graham (10/5): - What a beautiful peaceful setting. We were welcomed with genuine interest and clear information. Nothing seemed too much trouble. The manager recommended a restaurant in Stellenbosch and booked a table. It was excellent. Breakfast was very good. The bed was lovely but it takes up too much of the space. There were not enough wall sockets in the room. The bathroom area in the room would be better separated out for privacy. The room was compact so only suitable for one or two night's stay because there isn't room to unpack.

- Neo (7/5): Brennaisance - The bed in our room was huge and comfy. Breakfast was not so bad. The place is quiet and peaceful, and Atalia and Solomon was the best. Very considerate and helpful They had a mix up with the bookings and Karyn was already suggesting that we get dressed because we had to leave. But the manager came, matter was looked into and got resolved. Thank you Mrs Manager. Karyn still needs more training I think. Also, the TV had no network so we hardly got to watch anything

Brenaissance was peaceful and serene. Everything I needed during my stay was catered for. Immersed in nature and the spectacular mountain views. Safe, clean as well as outstanding staff. And we were served delicious breakfast every morning. It was the perfect place to spend my birthday. Everything about the property was up to standard. Perhaps a few maintenance issues like the hinge on the blinds. Otherwise, all else was appreciated and taken care off.

Instructions about the suite and security etc were good. Very near the town, easy to go into town for dinners and drive back safely. The breakfast hostess was friendly. The pool area was beautiful, quiet and relaxing. The lack of view from the room, with only a frosted glass window onto a public walkway back from the dining room was not what we expected.

Salomon in charge of night security was the only friendly staff. Breakfast choice very limited. Quality of service disappointing, commutation from staff not fluid. Auch der Pool vor unserem zimmer, das ziemlich klein war und nach Feuchtigkeit roch, war mit einer Plane abgedeckt. Man hat das Gefühl es ist alles noch im Entstehen. Wird bestimmt mal nett, aber noch ist es das nicht und zu teuer für was man bekommt. Sehr unaufmerksamer Service beim Frühstücken. Wir warteten über eine Stunde mit Kind. Wir sind dort kein zweites Mal hin. Auf eine beschwerdemail wurde mir nie geantwortet.

- Kopano (2/5): Has potential but is very bad at the moment. Not worth the price AT ALL - The property has nice views The staff member that took us to room was very cold and standoffish. We asked for an ice bucket and she said there was no ice. I ended up having to order ice for R71 on Uber Eats only to find out that they actually have ice on the property. There’s no dinner service so we had to go out. There was no welcome letter with instructions, no emergency phone number given, no phone in the room. I had to Google the number for someone to let us back onto the property after dinner. Once in the room, we did not get ANY sleep - a rodent of some kind was pacing up and down the roof, making excessive noise which was scary and very alarming. On top of that, the walls are paper thin so we had to listen to the next door’s shenanigans the whole night (Merlot suite). It was an absolute nightmare. The Property has potential but there’s much to improve on.

The room was large and the bed comfortable. We would have liked to have been able to use the swimming pool, but it was overrun with children at the time.
