Guest Reviews
- Frederick Clark (5/5): - Good location.
The rooms are spacious and the property is well-equipped with plenty of bedding, towels, and seating while the kitchen comes with a wide range of equipment and crockery. On our first day, we had difficulty accessing the property due to a defective lock on the main entrance, which required Jacqui to come over and explain how it worked.
There were no light snacks or basic beverages (such as milk) provided on arrival.
On the last day of our stay, the energy and lighting went out early morning and the energy meter displayed “NO MONEY.”
Jacqui acknowledged all of these issues, apologised, and provided a refund of 11%, which we felt was insufficient given the inconveniences.

- Julie (10/5): family ancestry discovery trip - We loved staying at the Lisnafillan Lodge cottage during our recent trip to Ballymena. We were there in memory of my Mum who's grandfather was born in Ballymena. Such a gorgeous place to call 'home' during our stay. thank you!!
- Ricardo (10/5): Great place. - Great place. Very comfortable. Lovely country place near the city of Ballymena.
- George (10/5): Warm homely cottage style guest house, "Country on the edge of town" - I loved that the property was a good one hour walk into town, as walking is my passion. I should add that I chose it based on location for this purpose and was very lucky with the weather. There is ample parking for guests that use their cars. I really liked the old style interior decoration and warm atmosphere of the guest house, particularly the breakfast room. Very clean. Shower head was difficult to get mix of hot and cold right- a very common issue in most places, but since it was in a bath I just bathed instead. Which was nice for a change.
- Vladimir (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was good, excellent. Very nice and clean accomodation and the home owner really nice person and really helpful. N/A
- Daniel (9/5): Superb - It's a great location, just outside town.
It was equipped with everything we needed and was very clean.
The main bed in particular was so, so, so comfortable.
We would happily go back! Nothing.... everything was great!

- Morgan (9/5): Fantastic value for money and a lovely quiet location. - Lovely quaint location and property. It had everything we needed to make a comfortable stay. The communication with the owner was exceptional. Nothing
- Melanie (10/5): Perfect location for a wedding at the Galgorm. - The extras which were left for us such as fresh bread, milk, tea and coffee. There were plenty of fresh towels and the property was perfect.
- Katharyn (9/5): Wonderful rural stay in an old yet modern cottage! - This is a lovely cottage with lots of old-world charm, but very well appointed, lots of bedding, towels, seating, as well as a modern kitchen with a wide range of equipment and crockery, etc. We also really enjoyed the private space outside at the rear of the cottage and the opportunity to sit at the table and soak up the peace and quiet and the rural surroundings. Nothing to remark on!!

- Donald (10/5): North West 200 race weekend. - A wonderfully peaceful stay. Warm and comfortable. Very clean and tidy. Lovely touch was some snacks and supplies for a brew up on arrival. Nice gated area to bring motorbikes off the road and out of sight. I would definitely recommend to others and return someday.
- Irene (9/5): Superb - Very homely and great welcome. Breakfast really good. Not a thing!
- Suzanne (10/5): - What a lovely place! Quaint and perfect, really welcoming and friendly place. Lovely hospitality and breakfast, quiet and comfortable little spot. I would definitely come back.
- Samanthajt (9/5): Lisnafillan Cottage was a home away from home in gorgeous Ballymena - We stayed in the self catering cottage which was delightful. It had all of the mod cons a kitchen needs and Jacqui had left us a few food items so that we could make a snack and have tea or coffee on arrival. The wifi was brilliant and everything just worked as expected. While the main bedroom was huge with space to spread out and really well decorated with convenient side tables and lamps by the bed, we found the actual mattress which was memory foam sunk underneath us, which meant we woke up in a hole which my back hated! I tried turning it but that didn't help.
- Emmak20 (10/5): Exceptional -
- Burns (8/5): restful and like being in a home from home - quiet with lovely views of countryside. central for north coast and Belfast city, and only 30 mins from airport muck spreading in the surrounding fields left us in no doubt we were in the countryside! just bad timing and not an issue as grew up next to a farm 😀.
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cheryl (10/5): Self catering cottage is very comfortable & we’d stay again if opportunity arises. - Cozy country cottage. Immaculate. Welcoming treats like a loaf of bread ready to cut with fridge stocked with cheese, butter, jam and milk. Lovely fireplace and wood was provided. House was cheerfully decorated for Christmas. Jacqui was a super host, responding quickly to any questions and also accommodated us generously allowing for an early check in after we’d arrived from a red eye flight into Dublin and two hour car ride, so we were able to settle in and have a rest. Highly recommend. Nothing to complain about.
- Jan (10/5): Exceptional - the owner was extremely helpful, left us some goodies in the fridge on arrival, lovely little cottage, good shower, good wifi
- Steven (10/5): Lovely place, lovely host - We loved our stay here. We went over for a wedding and we were the only ones in the lodge on this weekend.
We were even given a lift for our car in the morning which was very nice of the lady.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was rural and quiet. The hostess was welcoming and helpful but access to our room was a steep narrow staircase. The bed was most uncomfortable and the shower over the bath slippery. The breakfast was good.
- Richard (10/5): Simply Fantastic - Fantastic B&B, great safe location with super local places to eat out 10/10
- S (10/5): Cosy comfy cottage - We were only there for a weekend but the kitchen was fully equipped and bed was comfy.
- john (10/5): Nice hotel great stay. - Great little bnb highly recommended. Cooked breakfast waiting for us and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. And a very good stay
- Mark (8/5): Our first stop in Ireland - It was a nice location and fascinating for our daughter to watch cows wandering passed the window.
Jacqui was very helpful esp. when we left some items behind. She was going to post them back to us in England but luckily we passed by on our way back to Larne.
Breakfast was good and there was a very nice restaurant nearby.
Recommended.
- shawntel (10/5): Relaxing and cozy - We had an amazing time. Beautiful place. Beautiful town. Incredible people! Would recommend this for families.
- Mr. Anthony (10/5): Peaceful Stay - The Lady who runs the Lodge is very welcoming, she is very positive and makes sure have no need for anything.
There is also a very strong sense of Peace while staying there, I would recommend this to anyone.
- paul (10/5): Chintzy heaven - Lovely place to stay chintzy rooms parking would be a bit of an issue if the accommodation was busy and the breakfast was not the biggest I have had.
- Liberty (10/5): - It is a really nice bed and breakfast and the host was very accommodating. The place was clean and inviting and the breakfast was excellent :). Definitely would recommend!
