He even gave great recommendations for things to do and where to eat! They were all spot on. It was a great place to stay within the walls of the palace. Enjoy this place if you come to visit Split. Hard to think of things not to like. Maybe the bathroom is a tight space, but when you learn the history of Split, all is forgiven.

• Karsten (8/5): Super Lage, easy check-in, wir kommen gerne wieder! - Perfekte Lage mitten in der Altstadt, wenn man die Treppen runter geht ist man mitten in den kleinen Gässchen von Split. Top! Das Frühstück ist in einem Lokal ca. 3 Minuten vom Zimmer entfernt, sehr lecker, superschönes Lokal, auch toll. Das Zimmer selbst ist schön eingerichtet, hat uns gut gefallen. Auch die Größe ist super, Dusche hat toll funktioniert, alles gut. Check-in läuft über whatsapp, sehr einfach, tolle Erklärung, mit google-Link, einfacher kann man es nicht machen. Mini-Punkt, die Wohnung ist etwas hellhörig, man bekommt schnell mit, was der Nachbar so tut.
• Patricia (9/5): Pylon Rooms - highly recommended for a few days in Split. - Luka communicated all we needed to ensure an easy check-in and was available throughout our stay to provide local knowledge. Even arranging our airport transfer which was handled perfectly. The location is perfect. Inside the UNESCO world heritage Diocletian palace. A great place to base your stay. Breakfast at the nearby Luxor Restaurant, with its gracious interior far exceeded expectations. Fully renovated and modern inside, the bathroom was a tight squeeze; not unexpected.
• Thomas (8/5): Small rustic and romantic place in the middle of Diocletian's Palace but not good for a family - It's right in the middle of Diocletian's former Palace area. That is a great location (unless you have a car) as this part of the city is usually painfully overcrowded during the day by cruise ships by literally thousands of cruise ship passengers. However as one is right the middle of this, one can explore this old part of the city easily at past 21:00 and before 9:00 and make siesta during hot hours. It is a quiet location despite being in the middle of it all. Furthermore, if you like old building structures, this is a great place with very nice stone walls. The size of this is a bit of a problem for a family of three - more is really not possible. Don't get me wrong, its a really great place to spend as a couple but for a young family would be a bit risky as it is on two levels with quite significant drop and with an older kid it's o.k. but a bit awkward. There just is little privacy within the space. Also, there is almost no kitchen facility - even if one only wants to have the bare basics. I think this would be a great place if they'd throw out the bed upstairs and use this for living space etc. For two nights it was o.k. though and because of location and rustic atmosphere I give this an 8.0

Had everything needed and the owner was keen to check whether we needed anything prior to our arrival, then providing milk in the mini fridge when requested. Vouchers for breakfast in a lovely, nearby restaurant were also great.

Luka was a pleasure to communicate with and even arranged a taxi fo - The location of the property is ideal to explore the old town. The apartment itself is cosy and has all amenities you need for a stay. Communication with the host is seamless! The breakfast in a surberb location was perfect to end our holiday in Split.

• Richard (10/5): Perfect stay - This is not a hotel as such. There are no lifts, a swimming pool and a dining room. It is a complex of just 3 rooms, which was just perfect for us. We stayed in Room 3 on the top floor. To reach this, you need to walk up 42 stairs from street level. This was not a problem for us as the stairs are well-lit and in good repair. However, if you have difficulty with stairs, you might prefer a lower room. The location could not be better as it's in the middle of Diocletian's Palace. The focal point of the palace is a 1-minute walk away. The room was large, spotlessly clean, very quiet and air-conditioned. The bed was large and comfortable. The shower was large enough with excellent water pressure and temperature. Fluffy white towels, a hairdryer and toiletries are included. The room comes equipped with a TV (not used in our case) and a fridge. Breakfast is provided via the Luxor Restaurant in the main square. There was a choice of set menus that included coffee/tea and an orange drink. This was a great way to start the day. Check-in and out arrangements are straightforward. There are facilities for you to leave your luggage after check out so that you can enjoy Split before heading on. We would very happily stay here again.

There were too many stairs for those with mobility issues, and heavy luggage, the $15 car park was an inconvenience( you need to coordinate with Luka to meet you in person prior to parking your car), limited hot water given the size of the water tank, no place to hang your clothes, Breakfast was tasteless.

• Andrew (6/5): Great but one major flaw - Great space, incredible location within the old town walls. Very attentive reception host. Brought up an iron immediately, assisted with guidance around the area and offered to book transport to the airport. Only drawback was the hot water. A small tank was in the bathroom (apparently common practice) but the water was never hot and only warm for 3 minutes. 2 people could not take a shower within hours of one another. The host made sure the switch on the wall was not turned off. We were only there for 1 night and didn’t have time to investigate any further to fix the issue. I didn’t know breakfast was included at a popular restaurant right in the center of town - a great perk but we were unable to use it because of an early flight home. Of course that’s built into the fee so I would have looked elsewhere for cheaper accommodations had I known.

He accommodated our request for an hour earlier check in and a 30- minute extension for check out. Thanks Luka. It could have been nice for our rooms to be near each other as we are 7 friends travelling together for the first time. But this is Diocletian Palace & we have to adjust, Its not the host's nor booking's control on the room locations.

He even took us to the airport from there the next morning. also advised an amazing restaurant and things to do. Extremely happy. • Pamella (10/5): Exceeded expectations!!! - The photo’s very much depicted the room we chose which was the one for 3 people. It was beautiful and very clean! The location was also wonderful- right in the heart of the palace grounds and a UNESCO world heritage spot. The best part though was Luca the owner. He arranged to pick us up as well as delivering us to our sailboat marina and also transported our daughter to the airport. He was extremely helpful in so many ways and you should definitely stay at the Pylon Rooms. Booking.com stated that it was a Bed and Breakfast but it is not. That’s not Luca’s fault though.

The spaces are very nice and I would say it was a 9.5/10 the only thing was a little more hot water would have been nice as the hot water heaters are small.

We found the apartment comfortable and quiet. There was good communication from our host Luka. We really enjoyed complimentary breakfast at the cafe- 3 different ala carte options with generous serves, come with coffee and juice. Only minor things but stairs are the obvious challenge (we stayed second floor) a but limited space to get around. Nothing new to old European areas which we are used to .

Although the apartment was at the ground level as was told to us , the actual room was at a basement level accessible by stairs and the room at the ground level was like a mezzanine, very narrow and the bathroom was really small.There was very little space to manoeuvre, especially the access to the beds and a little awkward for senior citizens.

• Todd (10/5): - You cannot beat the location INSIDE the palace walls. It's a small room but has everything you could need. Luka is so nice and helpful.
• Jordann (10/5): - It was very cool to stay right within the walls of the palace. This was a cute and Cleme place, easy to get around to everything by walking. There are no cars in the palace walls. But the parking is a 5 min walk from the place. Very easy to park and walk.
