Guest Reviews
- Roger (8/5): Very good, I was there to eat a special menu meal. - The hotel rooms are behind the pub which has excellent food. The situation is in a very quiet location, close to Richmond Park The rooom was a little hot and I found not open the window, however a very large fan was supplied.
- Susan (9/5): -
- Sarah (9/5): -
- Phillip (6/5): The price and one night it was convenient. - Good location, staff friendly and helpful. Bathroom smelt badly of cigarette smoke. Could hear the kitchen extraction until after 9.30pm and smell the fryers through window.
For business people 8.30am breakfast is to late.
- Ros (10/5): As we were on a brief visit to London to attend a funeral All went very well and very reasonable - Everything was perfect for my family visit
- tim (10/5): -
- Alan (8/5): -
- Mrs (8/5): Cost- effective and convenient location - Bit tired from my memory of some years ago but good value and nice staff
- mark (8/5): -
- beverley (8/5): Pleasant one night stay - Very quiet Window was frosted so had no idea what the weather was like!
- Tracy (9/5): -
- David (10/5): The perfect stay. - Everything about The Victoria was exceptional.
- paul (10/5): Lovely rooms, great menu and beer selection - Bar staff and manager were fantastic, definitely going back soon Nothing
- Neil (8/5): A little gem for a short stay in London. - All of the staff were so friendly from the moment we arrived.
The room was clean and fine for our 1 night stay.
The breakfast was fantastic - a feast, and included in the price. Nothing that can be done, but the car park was very small - we had a space though.
- Amanda (8/5): Great venue and lovely accommodation - Quaint cute pub with rooms The bed was very hard
- Karen (9/5): Lovely stay. Despite parking would probably arrive before or after Sunday lunches were served. - Staff were lovely. They were friendly and professional. Evening meal and breakfast was excellent. Parking was tight on a Sunday when we arrived and no street parking.
- Ann (7/5): Better than most others in this area. Great location - Love the area and the home from home laid back feel
And the free parking which is a rarity these days The showers are a bit iffy
Also I think 830am for breakfast is too late
- Elizabeth (10/5): A hidden gem -
- Reynolds (10/5): - Great place to stay friendly people highly recommend Nothing
- Sarah (7/5): -
- Diane Richardson (8/5): Viva Victoria - It was a fabulous location, Richmond Park, Putney bridge and Fulham Park and Richmond were all worth a wander without having to travel into the city, really helpful staff, and very good food 😋 Very tiny bathroom the sink was really close to shower and hard to get in,
- Deborah (8/5): - The staff were very friendly, the atmosphere was great, as was the location. The breakfast was very good. I would certainly stay there again,
- Banner (9/5): Overall it was an excellent experience and I would stay again and recommend it to friends and family - I thought the accommodation, staff and food were excellent. Location was lovely, close to Richmond and Sheen. Public transport a short walk away. Peaceful but so close to London!!! I found the mattress a bit hard.
- Christophe (9/5): Great little hotel! - Great friendly staff, nice clean spacy quiet room, great food
- Martin (9/5): A great find. Will definitely be back. - Everything was excellent. Perfect location for my work trip. Parking on site. Great value for money. Friendly and helpful staff. This is a traditional old pub building. Maybe a future investment in internal glazing to help limit the sound of the aircraft flying into and out of Heathrow would be worth considering.
- Simon (10/5): Really enjoyed my stay - super satisfied! 😊 - Spacious and comfortable room. Friendly staff. Great breakfast and dinner. Convenient location.
- Sarah (7/5): -
- Aseel (8/5): -
- Emma (6/5): Mixed review - It's a good location and the restaurant is great. We knew the area from before and had been regular visitors to this pub. As remembered the food was really delicious. Staff were helpful and really personable. The room was very small. The shower was not great very weak and the lock plate on the bathroom door was broken so could not shut the door.
- KEITH MADDERS (4/5): - We were locked out the building at midnight and the key to the outside gate did not work - further the emergency number was unattended
- Clare (9/5): Beautiful pub in a great location - Lovely pub in a great location
- Guest (10/5): - It was spotlessly clean and the staff very friendly and attentive
- Meredydd (9/5): -
- Ian (10/5): Booked last minute. What a gem! - Charming pub in lovely setting with friendly staff and locals.
Parking off road at back.
Breakfast excellent. Nothing. It was excellent.
- Simone (10/5): -
- Robin (7/5): Lovely food and atmosphere, comfortable room with King sized bed which was fantastic. - The staff could not have been more helpful; on the telephone before arrival and while we were staying. A special shout out to Dean who was extremely attentive and helpful. The dinner was very tasty and the menu had a good range of foods and beverages. There were a few housekeeping issues that needed addressing
- Carolynne (10/5): Lovely, warm and cosy place to stay . Food was excellent and a Continental breakfast was included with our stay . - It was easy to find and the location made it easy for us to get around on foot . The room was clean and had still and sparkling water available in the room . Nothing
- philip (9/5): - Perfect location next to family - Meals were excellent

- STEVE (10/5): -
- chris (4/5): Could have been better. - Location was good . Staff very helpful. Shower hose sprayed all over as cra k in inner tube. Couldn't access the building on return from function.
- Dianne (9/5): - Very convenient for our purpose. Breakfast good, room good. We got back after closing and had a great deal of trouble getting in. The lock on the gate wouldn't open with the key and the phone number on the key fob was not ringing through. We almost gave up but my colleague managed to climb over the wall and open another door for us to get in!
- alex (9/5): - Excellent staff.
- Angelina (10/5): Beautiful stay. Well worth the money - Quiet public house with good food and facilities. Great rooms with complimentary water, tea and coffee in your room and lovely toiletries. Great place to stay. I have stayed there a couple of times for work and lovely toiletries it because it’s so peaceful. Staff are so friendly and welcoming. Would recommend this place to stay Nothing only thing is obviously kitchen closes at 9 so perhaps something should be put on booking.com regarding this if someone wants to turn up late
- Pauline (8/5): Great value for money - Location
- Angelina (10/5): Beautiful hotel to stay - Lovely quiet location. Near the Richmond Park. So clean and comfortable Nothing.
- Claire (10/5): -
- Ben (9/5): -
- Kevin (7/5): Overall a nice place to stay - Breakfast was reasonable and location was good £123 was a little expensive
- thomas (10/5): -
- Yusuf Murat (8/5): Enjoyable. - Staff excellent, friendly, polite. Food great. Atmosphere excellent. Location veri good. The room had some infrastructure problems. The staff tried their best to solve these.
- Michael (7/5): Lovely stay but we learned that pubs downstairs at some Inns do NOT shut down at 10 like we’d thought! - Staff were all very kind and the food was incredible. Room was comfortable. All except one night it was a quiet location in a lovely neighborhood. But it was a bit of a hassle to get to London…we should have booked a place closer, especially for days we had to drag our luggage around. That was our fault in not thinking it through.
Friday night they hosted a very loud party directly below our room’s window and loud music played past midnight until my wife walked down to ask when it would end. I would ask before you book a room here if your stay stretches over a weekend and you like to get to bed earlier. I wish we’d been told.
- robert (8/5): good value for money, very good breakfast and good bar with great staff - a continental breakfast was included in the price
but we opted for the cooked breakfast which was very good.
the bedroom was on the small size , but was adequate for the one night we were staying and the ensuite bathroom was also adequate.
there was no air conditioning in the bedroom, which made the room very hot, there was a fan provided but didnt really have any effect no air conditioning in the bedroom
- David (8/5): - Friendly staff and very good continental breakfast included
- Saniya (10/5): -
- James (10/5): -
- Pamela (10/5): - They were very helpful and welcoming , bedroom was spotless and warm. Nothing
- Soheil (9/5): -
- Ousam (8/5): It was great experience and nice quiet time too - The staff were very friendly and helpful Cleaners came down to our room for last day about 08:30 in the morning to clean which was not acceptable because we were sleeping that time they knocked our door and woke up us before 11am they interrupted our sleep which had never seen before.
- Jake (10/5): Fantastic hotel. A real keeper. - Everything. Cosy, warm, welcoming.
Spacious room, friendly staff, absolutely fantastic food. My wife & I were there for New Year’s Eve & we both agreed it was the best we had celebrated.
A terrific place to which we will return. Nothing
- william (5/5): Nice place - Lovely nice and clean Unfortunately boiler broke down so no hot water heating not a problem as heaters were supplied it was of the staff’s control .
- Emma (8/5): Lovely little double room - Sweet room, if a little compact. Good bedding, heating and feels new with good decor. Miniature toiletries were good quality. Nothing really. They've done a great job with the space available
- Guest (9/5): Will DEFINITELY return, excellent value for money and friendly staff - So enjoyed my stay, comfortable bed, quiet location and great breakfast, look forward to returning, brilliant stay! Menu……: don’t eat meat so more fish perhaps but the salad I had was delicious all the same
- Rosanna (7/5): Lovely people and very comfortable - The staff were delightful. The room is a good size, nicely decorated and with a lovely shower. Still & sparking water left in the room as well as tea, coffee and biscuits. It’s a very attractive pub (beautifully decorated for Christmas and serving mulled wine.) Food was nice and it’s an easy walk to Richmond park. The room was £165 which felt a little high.
- Rob Y (8/5): - Continental breakfast is not self service so can be a wait Small shower
- Karen (8/5): - Atmosphere friendly staff. Food was lovely. Easy to park. Airlines flying over on Saturday morning about 7am. But nothing they can do about that.
- Carolyn (9/5): Perfect, warm welcome and excellent food. - The property is lovely and the staff were most welcoming. They did everything possible to ensure we had the best possible stay. From the moment we arrived the staff were warm, welcoming and friendly. They kept the kitchen open so that we could eat despite us arriving just after 9pm due to busy traffic and bad weather. The continental breakfast was excellent and there was plenty of it. Despite being really busy the staff managed to squeeze us in for Sunday lunch, which was by far the best Sunday lunch we have had in ages. We would definitely recommend and would love to return. The location is excellent for exploring Richmond park and is only a 20 minute walk into Richmond. Nothing. Everything was lovely.
- Angelika (8/5): Brilliant place to stay, close to Richmond Park. - The food and the pub is lovely! Would definitely visit again :-) Croissants could be fresher but the breakfasts still alright for the price.
- matt (8/5): -
- rachel (9/5): - Nice pub good food comfortable rooms
- Ilona (9/5): -
- Arron (8/5): -
- Thomas (8/5): - There was parking on street and a private car park for the pub. The
- Simon (10/5): - We stayed at The Victoria for 2 nights as we were going to the rugby World Cup final at Twickenham. We parked at the rear of the hotel before checking in, which was quick and straightforward. The room was cosy, comfortable and clean. We ate in the restaurant the first night. The food was delicious and the servings were generous and the staff were attentive. We had a cooked breakfast Saturday and the continental Sunday. Both were tasty. Overall we had a great stay and would highly recommend staying here
- Karen (10/5): -
- Josie (10/5): Great little hidden gem - We stayed for the Rugby World Cup weekend and used this as a base. Very friendly staff, lovely food and overall we would stay again when we come down for the rugby
- Nigel (6/5): Great staff the rest so so - Great staff and welcome, car park lucky to get 4 cars in. Rooms very dated, carpets dirty with furnishings worn out, not very inviting.
- James (1/5): -
- James (1/5): -
- Penelope (9/5): The room was excellent, spotless, and beautifully designed, with a perfect mattress. The staff are all friendly and go o - Lovely room, excellent staff, perfect location The shower is fixed at the highest point; it woukd be good if this were adjustable.
- Arden (8/5): Saturday stay. - The accommodation is really good value for money, the location to Richmond Park is great for walking. On a quite residential street with customer parking.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Perfect for Kew - Lovely rooms in a tranquil part of south west London attached to a charming pub. Absolutely perfect for a visit to Kew Gardens and Richmond.
The rooms were nicely decorated with comfy beds and everything you would need in them; tea, coffee, hairdryer, tv and nice little en suite.
Continental breakfast was extra special with each visitor receiving a freshly prepared serving, inclding fruit salad, luxury yoghurt, salami and cheese, toast and the nicest brownie you could hope for. Great choice of hot drinks and cereals too.
Would definitely stay again.
- Philippa (9/5): The location was great. The staff were so kind and welcoming, especially Matt the manager, together with Federico and La - Overall the property had many attractive features, including an excellent outside garden/dining area together with a wide range of excellent food. We would have appreciated a small fridge in the room.
- David (10/5): Another enjoyable stay - I enjoyed another stay at the Victoria which is an ideal location for me when visiting London. My room was comfortable with a good shower room. - Philippa (9/5): This was our second visit to The Victoria and love it again. - The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the location is perfect for us. The only thing was the room did not have a small fridge in the room.
- William (9/5): Enjoyable stay. - Great location. Clean, well equipped room. Friendly, helpful staff and a good breakfast.
- Philippa (8/5): We really enjoyed our stay and have booked for a further two stays! The food was excellent. - The staff were very welcoming and friendly - and we really appreciated the daily room clean It would have been perfect to have a small fridge
- TIMOTHY (8/5): - Great stay for our visit to Wimbledon and Richmond. Quiet residence near Richmond park and main bus route. Lovely welcome and helpful information given. The weather was so hot so unfortunately the room was too even though a fan was provided. Coukd have done with a fridge in the room for cold drinks etc. Would book again.
- Andrzej (8/5): - No A/C in the room when temperature hits 33 degrees C so it was difficult to have some sleep…
- Gary (10/5): - You would not believe the pub was in such a lovely area and with the high street and all its other offerings so close - so close to London , Heathrow and transport - a gem !
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Extremely friendly host and professional. Lovely decorated small room.
- Sarah (10/5): - What a find! Absolutely gorgeous little place. The staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful, especially as we were later checking in than planned and feeling stressed out and tired!
The bedroom and en suite were spotless, modern, and quiet, and there was a floor standing fan provided to keep us cool. The bed was super comfy.
The breakfast was superb, we opted for the continental; it was fresh and plentiful. Wish we could have stayed longer - will definitely return and have already recommended to family and friends.
