Guest Reviews
- Christian (8/5): Buon albergo posizione OTTIMA!!!! CONSIGLIATO!!!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Limpieza deficiente
- Jimbo (10/5): Good deal - Breakfast was good, staff were friendly and attentive.
- Fwoon (8/5): Well situated, staff friendly, poor toilet roll! - The team made us feel welcome and tried hard, the hotel had a few obvious signs of abuse but it was clean and good value. The quality of the bathroom tissue was however appalling and made us feel less than human or even welcome - cutting costs here is demeaning to your guests...
- Andy (8/5): london stopover - Staff were excellent, room was clean and spacious, could benefit from air con in rooms, restaurant was canteen standard, for a london stopover it is ideal
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Didn't really enjoy. Bad customer service, first and last time
- darius (4/5): Not happy - no parking for people, i order breakfast when i booked room but i never got it as they said i never booked it with room, staff very rude
- Verified traveler (10/5): Clean hotel close to London Aquatics Centre. - Arrived having booked a family room through Expedia. In fact Expedia had only reserved a double room for 2 adults and 2 children. Staff at the hotel were BRILLIANT (the manager) in sorting this out and we ended up staying in 2 double rooms. Children had a good nights sleep which was important since they were competing at a major competition the following day.
- steve (6/5): Close to attaractions but parking is a 15 away - Handy hotel for a weekend but parking is at the Westfield shopping centre 15 minute walk. Hotel room clean and staff friendly.bar not much good
- Verified traveler (8/5): 5 minute walk from Westfields shooping centre - Very comfortable stay, close to Westfield shopping centre and had very helpful staff.
- Wayne (8/5): A nice surprise from travelodge. - We booked this hotel as a base for a christmas trip to London, with the benefit of visiting the Westfield shopping centre the next day. We arrived at 1130, before the allowed check in time, but this wasn't a problem the staff were great and looked after our bag while we headed into London. We finally checked in about 10pm and again the staff were friendly and very helpful. the room was smallish but perfectly adequate for a one night stay, it had recently been refurbished and was very clean.
- zak (2/5): I came in smelt of a smell I can't - Explain like an unwashed old person, had to Personally spray the room by myself. Rooms are not sound proof therefore hearing other peoples business. No soap was provided in the toilet ! The smell was so bad that I had to leave the hotel.
- sheetal (2/5): Horrific experience - Absolutely disgusted by the fact there was minimal heating, bed were like sleeping on rocks and was not aware our booking was made for twin room which on the itenary stated double zip link! Which I was not aware when I booked it! Terrible experience, would never stay there again!
- Helen (6/5): Clean, warm and functional - It's a reasonably quiet box, with decent towels, but I have paid less for more in places like Venice and Oslo. That's London for you; ridiculously overpriced, and I have to say that the food was really quite school dinnerish. The staff were friendly, but the famous 'comfy' beds were not good for these agged bones.
- Hux (6/5): Cheap overnight near Stratford - I needed a cheap overnight stay near Stratford, where I could rely on a professional service but not pay the earth. The Travelodge room is sparsely decorated - double bed, small desk and chair, a shelf with hanging rail for clothes - that's it! It was tiny. Plus small bathroom. Coffee tea and kettle and soap/shampoo dispenser in the bathroom. They've done away with all the unnecessaries and focussed on the important stuff, the amazing comfy bed and cleanliness. The location is great next to the Olympic Park but the high street and views from the room are unspectacular, grim I'd say :) But for £49, you just can't go wrong. Recommended to all those looking for a functional cheap room to stay in not fussy about luxuries. I'd stay there again for sure.
- Spinning Jenny (8/5): Blinds too short but otherwise a good budget hotel - Great location only about a 5 minute walk from Stratford High Street DLR and about a 10 minute walk from Stratford station (rail and tube) and the massive new Westfields shopping complex, which also contains a cinema and a food court, nicer restaurants, a couple of bars etc, so there's plenty of amenities and services close to hand. If you don't want to move, there's also an on-site bar/restaurant and vending machines in the lobby.
Our room was quiet (although some other guests were complaining about a stag party# and comfortable other than the fact that the blind #room 315# was too short for the window and let in loads of light. We requested two extra pillows and used those to block out the light.
I took my own hairdryer but reception were helpful at loaning us an iron and extra pillows / towels - just ask!
We felt the breakfast was rather expensive- there are a couple of greasy spoon type places on the other side of Main Street towards Stratford centre #5-10 mins away), or you could get something from e.g. the M & S food section etc instead and save yourself a few pennies.
Overall, a basic but new hotel in a good location- we'd stay again.
- William (8/5): Pleasantly surprised - Checked in quite late (21.45) and was met by a friendly receptionist. Room was quite big, with 2 singles pushed together and a disabled-style bathroom-more than big enough for a single traveller. Reading other reviews, was not surprised to find only a small shelf and a few coat hangers for clothes (fine for myself for 1 night, but not for a couple staying for longer than that). Had a drink in the bar, was served by a friendly lady and was very surprised by the price (cheaper than expected).
Overall, hotel was quite good.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Poor but cheap - A cold and soulless place, with everything seemingly screwed down. No character or niceness at all. Additionally, there was no remote control in my room but on asking for one, I was quite literally told tough!
