Guest Reviews
- matthewbV872CV (10/5): Brilliant bar/food staff - I had the 3 plates platter and 2 pints, served by Kande, she had briliant service and easy to chat to.
- muhammedsN6552LG (8/5): Solid - One thing I would say is many people come from far to this travel lodge
I’m aware that check in is at certain times however i feel there should be different timings on what time your able to check in.
Besides the wait for checking in as I arrived 1 hour before and I had to wait an hour to get into my room. I feel the rooms should be prepared maybe slightly earlier just in case someone like myself arrived earlier. The room was absolutely wonderful no complaints.
- aspennbluew (10/5): Great meal - Great service with a smile! So kind and welcoming.
- antsmithuk (10/5): Amazing girls - Nikola was a brilliant host/server/waitress whata job she is doing and the food by Kande was absolutely amazing, what a pair, definitely come back for these 2
- theodot3791 (10/5): Excellent stay. - Very friendly staff, clean room, rested well after a long day. Would recommend.
- X4419HNlewisw (10/5): Great, no-frills hotel - We stayed here for one night with friends after a day in Manchester. The hotel was very clean, easily accessible and had great amenities. The highlight of the stay was the buffet-style breakfast which had everything you could want. Kayleigh was especially hospitable, ensuring that everyone’s food and drink was up to standard and overall providing great service with a smile. I would definitely return if I needed a no-frills place to stay in Manchester.
- shauntZ1964IO (10/5): Amazing Service - Great atmosphere, amazing breakfast and great staff. Kayleigh deserves a raise.
- leecR7348UO (10/5): Great customer service. - Kayleigh was very attentive for the breakfast service. Polite and friendly. Went above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome. Good stay. Good cause for money. Lots of vegan options.
- I5865JIcarlaa (8/5): Great as always but not worth extra for standard plus - We have stayed in this travelodge before so we knew what to expect. We paid extra for a standard plus but I don't think I would again. We got a coffee machine which had 2 regular and 2 decaf pods but no extra milk. The usb charging ports in the walls, only 1 out of 3 worked. The room itself was no bigger than a regular standard, it actually seemed smaller. It was quieter on the top floor. We bought food in the bar and that was nice and also reasonable prices. The staff were friendly and very helpful. They helped us book a taxi for the show and took our complaint about a person who was not actually staying there just having a drink who was being very rude to us and other customers. The breakfast was great and plenty to choose from. Overall it's been a great stay but I would t pay the extra for standard plus again.
- alicehZ3567ZD (10/5): good hotel - overall a great stay, no complaints about the room, there was an incident at the bar but the staff dealt with it professionally and apologised to us for the disturbance which we appreciated. nikola, morgan, joel and candy all really great service
- Scenic44741233067 (10/5): Great server - Manoel is amazing service, very nice and would ask any questions.
- paulhX3792JF (10/5): Outstanding example of customer service - Fantastic experience my wife and I weren’t sure what to expect from a city hotel, but we were meet by a fantastic team of professionals. They were all extremely professional and very friendly with a can do attitude. We were looked after during our stay by Morgan Kande and Danielle and we could not have been more grateful for their hospitality and outstanding customer service. Absolutely recommend staying here and we certainly will in the future.
- Y3293XQkarenh (10/5): Pleasant stay all round. - Staying here at Manchester Central Arena as temporary accommodation and can't praise it enough. Reception staff are really friendly and helpful. Housekeeping staff are great, will top up with fresh towels and bedding whenever you leave the sign on the door.
Tried the restaurant tonight and food was lovely and tasty and hot. Yet to have the unlimited breakfast so can't comment on that.
Overall, a pleasant stay.
- 73alastairt (10/5): The amazing Kayleigh - Stayed for 3 nights. Very much appreciated being moved to a quiet room on the 5th room away from the construction works next door. Had breakfast each morning and was looked after by the amazing Kayleigh. I can honestly say that she was the most helpful and bubbly member of staff that I’ve ever been looked after by in ANY hotel. Look after her Travelodge …
- Jjdea (10/5): Welcoming and warm - Kayleigh is a joy! She was so welcoming, a credit to the hotel and the company!
- Roam780872 (10/5): Great stay - Great stay , Nice comfy room , Kayleigh bubbly & very helpful , Thanks .
- dgM1239NO (10/5): We'd come again - Lovely clean room, staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely, great value especially as kids eat for £1. Kayleigh was always smiling. Great location for the AO Arena and for Victoria Station.
- Car0sh (10/5): Great value for money for short stays - Great value for money. Everything you need for a short stay. Kayleigh at breakfast was the epitome of great customer service.
- chrisfQ232RV (10/5): Friends night out at the darts - First time staying here and the staff especially Kande are fantastic. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the bar is well priced
- DayTrip36207355499 (10/5): Kayleigh is a gem - Kayleigh is an absolute star. Super nice, pleasant and welcoming. Amazing energy
- 564brandonp (10/5): Great stay - Stayed the night whilst visiting The Central Arena to watch the snooker . Was Greeted and looked after by Kayleigh and the rest.of the team throughout our stay. Had a tasty evening meal washed down with a few bevs in the chilled vibe restuaraunt followed by a generous all you can eat breakfast before checking out the following day. Good Price and Nice hotel.
- marcw394 (10/5): Family overnight stay - Friendly staff, clean rooms and a lovey breakfast. Kayleigh was very cheerful and helpful at breakfast.
- agB7919YK (10/5): One night stay in Manchester - Great one night stay, with friendly helpful staff. Hayleigh was fantastic and couldn’t have been helpful and efficient . An asset to Travelodge!
- carolannem394 (10/5): Fantastic service - Jack in the bar was amazing! Soo friendly and helpful. An asset to the hotel
- Traveler67245469459 (10/5): No faults, room spot on. - Nikola Evelina was kind, fast and quick to get me an iron when I needed one for my room. Thank you
- androf2026 (8/5): 4 Star ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - Love the room. Neat, tidy and bed well done.
- P7081AIsamj (10/5): Great staff, good rooms - Me and a few friends stayed recently for a gig at the AO Arena. The location of the hotel is perfect being just a few minutes away. I was also thoroughly impressed with the staff, specifically Morgan and Joel on reception who checked me in with efficiency and were knowledgeable about the hotel and recommended us some activities in the area, Jack on the bar has amazing customer service, and the food cooked by Kande was perfect before the gig, rooms were standard for a Travelodge and got the job done, but the staff are what made our experience truly standout, we will be returning next time
- W6189UZphilm (8/5): Positive - Check in efficient. Had lunch. Had Bhuda bowl. Our server Danielle realised chicken served with this was too dry and organised a fresh batch. Good service.
- rosaleenw340 (10/5): Kayleigh was very pleasant and helpful greeted us with a smile. She also cooked the food which was delicious! - Such a lively pleasant atmosphere with great staff especially Kayleigh!
- deann996 (10/5): Food - Kayleigh is a very good cook thank you
- corbins2026 (10/5): Great everything - Great dinner options. I got the cheeseburger, and it tastes like home. Great beer options too. And the staff are above and beyond.
- zhouc755 (10/5): Great service - Kande’s food is absolutely amazing she was very attentive and understanding such an asset to this company. Will definitely come back again.
- Seaside08809038713 (8/5): Met our expectations but the view left something to be desired - Booked for its proximity to Victoria Station and tram links, was not expecting a bedroom overlooking Strangeways prison! However thats on me as should have checked the map first. Room was clean and was spacious enough for two, some issues with the water pressure in the shower and the automatic sliding doors into the hotel were temperamental. Unlimited breakfast was great value, wonderful service from Ola and Alissa.
- L6776CFraymondl (10/5): Nice staff - Hotel is nice and friendly. Most of the staff here are very nice, specially mention here are Jack and Candy, very welcoming, friendly and super helpful,a credit to the hotel.Recommrnded.
- 202niltonv (10/5): Excellent reception team - Went to drop off a friend at Travelodge Manchester Central Arena, but unfortunately the online booking was not working. At 11:30 PM, I thought my friend was about to sleep on the street, but thanks to Oana, Owen, and Ciaran, my friend managed to secure a room. This trio was absolutely amazing. They did everything they could to make it happen. This made me think that we can still believe in humanity. Thank you, Oana, Owen, and Ciaran.
- Freedom42204842645 (10/5): Punches above its weight! - Friendly staff and great food — what’s not to like! Try the bangers and mash
- Maps29530519298 (10/5): I've had a great time - The atmosphere is very warm and positive at this travelodge, the staff smile and help alot and the all day breakfast was delicious. Notably Kayleigh was lovely in the cafe and didn't rush us through the experience.
- Sightseer54928437672 (10/5): Brilliant - Really good experience everything was great and on point . Good one
- gl0balvisi0ns (10/5): Fantastic - Fantastic service, Kande on reception was lovely. Keep it up, would definitely stay again!!
- jaypK6164YD (10/5): 10 out of 10 experience - Have stayed at this location previously good rooms but the star of the show has to be kayleigh serving breakfast with a smile whatever she is paid needs doubling absolutey amazing service couldnt be more helpful and professional such a credit to the business a shining example of ecellent customer service

Stop here on occasion and it is my favorite Travelodge to stay in at Manchester. Also teiyyana had cleaned our room very clean and tidy. Thank you for a lovely stay
- Sunshine55180135724 (10/5): relaxed and friendly - friendly and helpful very professional and smart Ola and Alissa was very charming. the restaurant was kept clean and tidy
- B2282IDjacobs (10/5): Good all round experience - Rooms are nice a clean, good location and not far from central Manchester. Friday and Saturday the bar was quite full which made it a bit noisier but I wouldn’t worry you can’t here it from your room.
- GregAndr1105 (10/5): Nice weekend stay - Nice spacious rooms, calm area as also rooms.
Great breakfast where you can eat as much as you can.
Can only recommend. Really great

- SM-311387 (10/5): Lovely hotel with outstanding staff in the perfect location - Outstanding staff and perfect location
We’ve had a really positive experience at Manchester Central (Ducie Street). Claire and Danielle on reception, along with Kayleigh on the bar, are always willing to help, no matter how small or trivial the request, and they do it with a genuine smile every time.
The manager, Nikola, has been extremely accommodating. While we’ve been in limbo not knowing whether our booking would be extended, she has consistently ensured we’ve been able to remain in the same room, avoiding any inconvenience or disruption. That level of care has made a huge difference to our stay.
We’re staying here until February and, honestly, we’ll really miss the staff when we move on. They’ve made what could have been a stressful time feel far more settled and positive. Also a mention to the friendly cleaning staff who always go out of their way to ensure our needs are met.
I’ve already recommended this hotel to many friends. The location is perfect and, despite being so central, there have been no issues with noise at all.
- aaronoW781BL (10/5): Friendly staff - Great service, no issues at all and fast check in
Great area to stay
Room was clean
Cost effective for a quick stay in Manchester
- fatimaho609 (10/5): Review - The room was really clean on arrival as though no one has ever stayed in there . Amdreea did a good job cleaning it. The staff in general were all lovely. We enjoyed our stay. Looking forward to coming back soon. xx
- Q2717ENsarahm (8/5): Lovely Clean Quiet Hotel close to arena - Just stayed at the Central Arena Travelodge, lovely hotel..stayed here before, round the corner from arena...quiet location ...stayed in a super room on the 6th floor. Decided to write a review today as the room was especially clean...cleaned by Sandra so the note left in my room said. Had a problem with the water the next day but reported it to reception when i was leaving ...they were very apologetic. Staying here again next week so hopefully the room will be cleaned by Sandra again ;)
- RobertZ8058CS (6/5): Good hotel but very noisy. - Hotel very clean staff friendly but you get woken very early by the massive building site next door. Travelodge did not warn us of the possibilities of disruption from that building site.
- godwinc689 (10/5): I was well welcomed. The bedroom was very neat and spacious - Amazing hospitality. The receptionist welcomed me well.
When I got to my bedroom, it was well arranged and spacious.
I had an amazing experience.
- R7665VGfionac (10/5): Kayleigh is a gem! - Lovely experience from Kayleigh on the bar. She was super friendly and professional.
Warm inviting and an asset to the hotel.
- harrydU429KU (10/5): Brilliant - Amazing service by kande! She was excellent and very helpful. When I’m next in Manchester I will definitely be back to this Travelodge!
- W4758FIjuliem (10/5): Great customer service - Great customer service from Morgan, so helpful & friendly. Lovely hotel good location for the shops & trains station will stay again.
- darrengY1378KQ (10/5): Work trip - Check in was nice and easy with a great friendly welcome from Morgan, nice clean rooms everything we needed, ate in the restaurant with the friendly Morgan checking up on us to make sure all was good 👍🏻
- kanel2026 (10/5): good - The room was very clean, i arrived in the evening and the receptionist joel was extremely helpful and explained clearly where my room was , i bought a drink from the bar where he then informed me about the 10£ breakfast which i took advantage of, overall it was a pleasurable stay and i would come back here again if i was ever in manchester!
- Odyssey13964276546 (10/5): Night over stay after train - great location and room quality. Cleaned great by Morgan :) Great value for money, provided tea and coffee, check in was fast and efficient.
- kshitijr2026 (8/5): Very good experience - Lovely staff, Lidia was very helpful loads of room at the reception and cafeteria. Room was good, ample space and clean, a few tidbits can be improved. Other than that, a perfect stay for a couple days.
Also, great connectivity to the city centre.
- Dream20480875986 (10/5): Lovely staff - Lidia was welcoming and helped us alot specially during the checkout time. They let us kept our baggage as well for a while after checkout.

- taofeeqo2026 (10/5): Great experience - Enjoying my stay here, the location is perfect, just a few minutes walk from the city center. Atmosphere feels fantastic, it's very family friendly. The food is also really good.
- kianw2026 (10/5): Winning Smile - Great has a lot of positives really friendly staff and kande was very accomodating from start to finish making sure we're taken care of. We also loved the convenient location and will definitely return. Kudos!
- claremL6251FJ (10/5): Brilliant nights stay - Brilliant stay , great location lose to city centre and transport
Clean rooms , amazing customer service
And lovely breakfast
- laurahG2832BN (10/5): Great Staff - Stayed here for a works do, the hotel is very convenient as its close to the city centre. Food and drinks fairly reasonable for its price. Service from staff especially Joel and kande was great and to top it off Stacey their manager was very calm and friendly towards us.
- 393nasira (10/5): Great service - Room is clean enough, very convenient as its close to town. Staff candy and joel was very friendly and accomodating. They also serve very good food. All the amenities were provided that was needed during the stay. A very calm and friendly environment all around the area like lobby, sitting area and breakfast area. Very calm and relaxing music always soothing the environment.
- J2977KXaimeec (6/5): Nosy building works - Nosy woken up by nearby building works at 8am, which continued all morning. Otherwise all else was good and room was very clean.
- marekkU4337MC (10/5): Travelodge Central Arena - Very good place and good location. Rooms is nice and bathroom is in very good condition. Very cool atmosphere in bar near enter.
- davidmZ3150MP (10/5): Manchester Central Arena - Three nights, two of us. Room was clean, bright, attractively decorated, comfortable room temperature. Hotel was very pleasant. Staff were always helpful. Competitively priced. Recommend.
- kellycB3408ZV (10/5): Idea location for a concert - Ideal location for both arenas, tram station close by, only downside was there was some constructin work going on next to the hotel so we were woken up by that. Kayleigh on breakfast service Was an absolute joy, full of positive energy and very friendly.
- polamb (6/5): Ok budget hotel - Hotel in a great location for the arena as was at a concert.
The rooms were ok and the bed was very small for 2 adults. Meant we didn’t sleep great.
Clean and fine fir 1 night. Wouldn’t stay again due to the bed
- andrewf668 (2/5): terrible experince - I arrived at the hotel at approximately 00:05, after attending a concert, with my fiancée. Upon attempting to check in, the male staff member was unable to locate my booking. After several attempts, he finally found it using the reference number—only to inform me that, according to the system, I had already checked in and was supposedly in my room.
This was obviously impossible, as I had only just arrived.
I was asked to wait while staff went to investigate. I was told this would take “five minutes,” but instead I waited over 30 minutes while the staff appeared increasingly worried. I later learned that my room had been given to someone else, and instead of taking responsibility for this serious error, a female staff member tried to claim that I had cancelled my booking. This was both insulting and completely illogical—especially given that your own system showed I had allegedly checked in.
At this point, the situation had become such a fiasco, and the incompetence so apparent, that I no longer felt comfortable or confident staying in the hotel. I therefore made the decision to drive 3.5 hours back home, in the early hours of the morning, putting myself under unnecessary stress and exhaustion solely due to your staff’s mistakes.
This experience was unacceptable on every level.
- 912james (6/5): Acceptable clean accommodation - No problem with the hotel.Room was very clean.Basic room but tea and coffee facilities were better than many premium hotels. We had cheeseburger for dinner which to be fair was very average for £12.95
Hotel was in a perfect location for the arena and Deansgate
- DHaycock (10/5): Amazing hotel - Booked a last minute christmas market break with my husband and daughter. Didn't expect perfection as I had never stayed in a travelodge before and with it being a 3 star hotel. On arrival the outside needed some TLC, However when I walked in to check in the the staff were pleasant and the cafe/restaurant was very modern and welcoming.
The rooms were absolutely spotless and looked like they had been recently updated. The beds were comfortable with extra pillows available. Would definitely recommend and book again.
- 882JackieT (6/5): Don’t phone Travelodge - Our party had a problem and tried calling Travelodge in advance to try and sort. We were put on hold for ages before getting through and our phones cut out when they reached the max in call charges. little did we know how much Travelodge premium rate call charges we were until after, only to discover our 3 phone calls had charged us £15 each, so £45 in total , so DON’T PHONE TRAVELODGE! 😡
- Scenic62690224737 (10/5): Excellent - Very comfortable, clean room.
Restaurant very spacious. Food very good, tasty and value for money.
Bar service excellent. Excellent efficient barman on the dates we stayed 23rd/24th November
- kierand817 (10/5): Birthday weekend - Very attentive and friendly staff, good value for money. Would recommend to friends and family. Great location and close to the city centre.
- L5827BGandys (8/5): Burger nice and desert rubbish but well worth £15 for both - Food was well presented and burger tasted brilliant the way Candy had dressed it and stacked it. Chips not the best they over chips and not too keen on oven chips. Ice cream Sunday was crap the wait was 20 minutes and when came it was just whipped cream and sloppy melted mess. No bananas in it and all ice cream was melted
- TeddyAinsworth (8/5): Good budget hotel - I stayed in the other Central Travelodge a few months ago, and had an unpleasant experience. Fortunately, this Travelodge was much better, despite me choosing the same type of room for the same rate.
Everything was clean and up to standard, and the staff were nice and helpful. The hotel is also in a great location for easy access to the city centre. During my stay at the other Travelodge, the bed was really hard and the pillow way too dense, and my back and neck were really sore for days afterwards. The bed in this Travelodge still felt a little hard, but thankfully gave me no lasting issues. One star knocked off for it being a bit uncomfortable while awake, but overall, pretty great experience, and I'd choose this Travelodge every time from now on when visiting Manchester.
- Y2098NCsophies (10/5): Really good - We came down on the 12th November for my 21st birthday and the hotel was great food was good and the hotel staff was so helpful too
- ibaadoo (10/5): Kayleigh - Clean and good location Kayleigh was vibrant and welcoming with a warm smile. She ran the show in the mornings with her amazing approach. If I ever come back I’ll definitely be staying here because of her impeccable customer service
- marty2711 (6/5): Weekly work trip - Room 622, the noise from the building site next door is deafening. I do a very early start getting here and like to catch a quick kip in the afternoon - no chance unless you can filter out Stihl saws.
On the other hand - the staff are brilliant, Candy’s pizza is knockout and the wee foyer bar area is ideal for a snack and a base to catch up on some emails.
- 53sharonw (10/5): Fantastic stay - Travel lodge Manchester central arena has the most wonderful member of breakfast staff her name is Kayleigh she is very friendly and professional at her job
- Lloukj (10/5): Cheap and cheerful good location - It’s a Travelodge so you get what is expected. I managed to get a good car park just opposite and the location is great so would book again for sure, they just need to turn the heating down a bit.
- dotuno446 (10/5): Pleasant experience - I was in the hotel for a night and thought the atmosphere is serene and lovely. Nice place and courteous service by Kayleigh, receptionist
- A3160XRannam (10/5): A Northern returns from the South and appreciates a good cheap tea! - I was starving after a 4 hour journey and Candy made me an awesome Chicken Burger with Sweet Potato Fries and everything was better after that! The pint of beer at £5 something was also very welcome.
- JohnU9750DP (6/5): Central Travelodge manchester - Perfect location for all things Manchester. Didn’t have the best night sleep as it was rainy hard and the window sills outside are metal so just heard banging all night on them. Car park should also say no spaces to park not limited as they have none and you have to park on the road which is 2 hour slots or pay for the car park. You do get a discount by staying at travelodge but when you check the website it says limited. Very helpful staff all things considered.
- kierj2025 (10/5): Great staff and pleasant food - Staff is very friendly, especially Candy with her winning smile and can do attitude . Food was amazing and location is very ideal. Expectations met would definitely consider coming here again
- Z6127BRharryr (10/5): The lord of the manor. - Love the staff. Been here a while. Consider them good friends.
Need different beers though. Two Stella pumps? Come on. Get some Moretti. Mahou. Bodingtons is local.
- carolyntY1858MR (10/5): Warm welcoming friendly and helpful staff clean rooms and lovely food. Great value for money and location - Great location. The staff are so friendly and helpful and amazing. Room clean . The food in the evening was fresh and hot and great value for money. We had a very friendly staff member help us her name was Kayleigh. So friendly and cheerful. We will definitely be back. Thank you
- O1791RJmichaelr (10/5): Excellent stay! - Location was excellent as very close to the city centre. The Travelodge was clean and tidy and staff, particularly Kayleigh was very helpful.
- 206sandrat (10/5): Great hotel - The location was great for exploring the city. The rooms clean and fresh a bit of noise from the construction site next door but nothing too bad. Our stay was definitely value for money. The staff were great from the security guard when we first arrived helping us with car parking to the fabulous Kayleigh who made sure we had everything we needed for breakfast. Would definitely recommend a stay here.
- J7668RImarkh (10/5): Start The Day With A Smile - Had a great stay, you know what you’re getting with a Travelodge, the room was warm and clean and had what I needed. Special shout out to Kayleigh who was the waitress at breakfast - polite, friendly, helpful and all done with a big smile!
- D3101DHbriang (10/5): Travelodge Central Arena - Stayed on a Sunday night to go to a concert at the Co-op Arena. Overall happy with visit. Although it was refreshing to go for breakfast and was greeted by a member of staff called Kayleigh. She was bubbly and always checking tables to ensure customers were being well looked after. Definitely a member of staff who is a credit to Travelodge.
- H3205HMethanc (2/5): Ridiculous wait time - Room was fine wait times on food were ridiculous. Waited almost an hour for chicken wings. Not acceptable at all. Mad eme late for what i came for
- jimmytynan (10/5): Lovely stay again at so convenient Manchester Central Arena - I stay often at this hotel when visiting family and friends, its always a relaxing stay, everything is always really good and the staff are so friendly and helpful, but I'd also like to mention Kayleigh who now runs the Bar Cafe, she is fantastic and everything you want at Breakfast so bubbly and friendly and it stands out how professional she is and nothing is too much trouble for her for all your Breakfast needs she really is a massive plus for the hotel,
- V9825GVnathanl (2/5): Staff rude - Room great however…. Staff are so rude! Un helpful and rude! it’s a like a chore if you ask
Them anything -lady with blonde hair extremely rude won’t even look at us for ordering three times this happened
