Guest Reviews
- Gill (10/5): - Lovely hotel. Highly recommend.
- Helen (10/5): - Perfect location, friendly service, cheaper than other nearby options.
- Natalie (10/5): - The staff were welcoming and helpful. Lovely reception area. Our room was spacious, my only criticism would be that our room was described as a superior kingsize. The 'kingsize' bed was two beds individually made with their own sheets and pushed together with a cover over both beds.
- Deb (8/5): - Beautiful building in an excellent central location. The room was large and the bathroom was huge. The decor just needed a little attention. Door to the room needed a lick of paint. The walls inside were scuffed, cracked and in need of a repaint, although very clean. The communal areas were all in good condition. Staff were so helpful, had a lovely stay.
- Esther (10/5): Amazing Boutique B&B - We had a great stay at the Arden House B&B. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The room was gorgeous and the bed was so comfy. The only thing was that it was a little cold in the room. The radiator was only warm at the bottom. The radiator in the bathroom didn't work at all. I would definitely stay again, the bedding and towels were lush. There was a good coffee machine in the breakfast room that was free all day.
- Lucy (8/5): - .
- Gary (6/5): Not a good as it could/should have been - This opening picture is not correct, as the hotel is coloured grey, and sadly, doesn't look as nice. Remaining pictures all seem accurate. Unfortunately, my friend, who was staying in another room (room 5 I think), did not have a fully functioning shower, which he only discovered in the morning, about an hour before checking out. Given the cost of the room (£135) that's pretty poor.
- JANE (10/5): What you Expect from a Good Boutique Hotel - We booked Arden House where we regularrly stay but were moved to Arden Hotel. Due to under occupancy they were only running one hotel. Both properties are very nice, comfortable and Eden Hotel standard.
- DOUG (4/5): Disappointed - Unfortunately this hotel was ill equipped for our visit and ruined a very special birthday. In hindsight this establishment should never have been reopened.
- Leila (8/5): - Bed really comfortable shame there was no hot water for a shower in the morning.
- CHRIS (10/5): Arden Hotel August Break. - Booked a 2 night stay at the Arden, first time visitors to Stratford upon Avon and didn't know what to expect. The hotel is beautiful and is set in lovely surroundings. Very quiet in the evening, no external noise etc.
Superb breakfast set us up for the day, didn't need a lunch. Staff very helpful and rooms and beds very comfortable.Just across from the swan theatre and the river, a 2 min walk from everything. We are coming back in winter, we think the town would be wonderful at that time of year. Would highly recommend this hotel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): A friendly, efficient hotel - We had a fabulous stay and were very well looked after. Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. There were many lovely extra touches such as complimentary chocolates to celebrate a birthday. Thank-you Arden hotel.
- Richard (6/5): A pleasant stay with great service - The room we stayed in was quite small and contained too much furniture. The shower cubicle was quite snug too. Some areas of the hotel look a little tired. Great location and fab service.
- David (10/5): Totally Recommend - Relaxing and understanding. Made us feel VERY welcome and comfortable.
Thoroughly recommend....
Thanks
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Everything was brilliant Location perfect
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was pretty average really. Small car park. Not expecting it to be a B&B with a key to the front door. No cooked breakfast available due to Covid so had to go to Sister hotel, only found out about this day before arrival. No tea or coffee facilities in the room. Coffee in dining room available 24hours was dire.
- Anthony (10/5): - Hotel was Excellent, room spotless, Reception Staff were exceptional, helpful and friendly. Hotel location is fantastic, a short stone throw away from the Theatre and local attractions.
- Clare (2/5): - We booked to stay at Arden House in July however due to Covid 19, this hotel had not reopened yet and we had not been told this. After ringing reception, luckily their sister hotel Arden Hotel told us our booking
- Michael (8/5): - Checked in and Hotels.com had the wrong hotel listed
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great hotel and location
- Brian (10/5): - Although Expedia hadn’t notified them of our reservation they luckily had a room available and with minimum fuss checked us in. The staff were excellent as were the amenities.
- Kev (10/5): - For a guesthouse it was up there with the best we have stopped in. Really liked the free access to a Nespresso machine and the free snacks, thought those were a great touch
- philip (10/5): Anniversary weekend away - Amazing hotel staff were lovely, room clean and comfortable breakfast very nice and a good choice to chosen from .
- Tam (10/5): warm reception - good services with good breakfast
- JANE (8/5): - Stayed here many times. Met our usual expectations. Nice breakfast.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Super stay - Fab! Thank you!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Lovely room and very comfortable
Good location but let down by breakfast with over cooked eggs and poor vegetarian breakfast
- Jennifer (10/5): Short stay room - We were swapped to this sister hotel of Arden Hotel it was very charming clean and convenient to sights a few little niggles no tea & Coffee making facilities in your room no full length mirror the only mirror over deskto high when sat down to low when stood up furniture a bit tired don’t think it was worth rate charged for room .
- Dean (10/5): Fantastic hotel - Lovely hotel and fantastic hosts, it has a very warm and relaxing atmosphere, very comfortable rooms with a superb breakfast included. what more could you ask for.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Outstanding - Clean, comfortable and friendly. Highly recommended hotel a short distance from the town centre.
- Oliver (10/5): - Lovely hotel in the heart of Stratford with excellent breakfast
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I was coming to Stratford for a friend birthday party and I needed somewhere comfortable central & with parking to stay.
Arden House proved perfect for this.
- Neil (10/5): - Excellent all round,
- Robert (10/5): - Despite the hotel not receiving confirmation from yourselves, they nevertheless fopuind us a room without a problem
- Mike (10/5): Hard to find better - Everything here was top class.
- Michael (10/5): - Excellent place, parking and close to town
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was like a private hiouse, stylish and informal with a fabulous breakfast. Not suitable for disabled people.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Friendly and helpful staff. Amazing breakfasts! Very convenient location to attractions, restaurants and shopping.
- Phillip (10/5): Nice Surprise - Real pleasant surprise as i think I'd meant to book the Arden Hotel. Nice style and made to feel very welcome by Laurie. Rooms and bathroom small but well equipped and stylish. nice snack area and trust bar and easy few minutes walk to the centre of town Parking small but we got in which is all that matters.
- Howard (6/5): Stay away from Room 10. - We stayed in Room 10, which we wouldn’t recommend at all. The room was far too hot, mainly due to its lack of a proper window to open. We stayed three nights and hardly slept.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Room was very hot despite the fan in the room, but the windows only opened up slightly as they had blocks on them. Room and bathroom quite small and only one plug socket which we needed the fan to be in. Breakfast ok but vegetarian sausages awful. Wouldn’t rate this a 5 star.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It is not suitable for disabled. I struggled with the stairs and no tea or coffee facilities in room. Only in breakfast room three flights of stairs!!!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - A really warm welcome and astonishingly good breakfast
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The breakfast choice and the quality of how it was prepared and served was second to none - absolutely delicious and worth staying here for alone! The stafff were very friendly and helpful.
I had booked 2 rooms as we were staying over with family, and was charged the same price for each. Although the same in bed comfort and style, one was considerably bigger than the other with high ceilings, a huge bathroom with bath and separate shower and a window. The other was in the attic, with lower ceilings and floor space and there was a tiny shower room that was too small to get dry in or bend fully over the basin. I was told this was described as a ‘cosy’ room and the price was due to booking via a booking site.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Welcoming. Comfortable. Felt like visiting someone's home. The main road at the front might disturb occupants in rooms overlooking it. We were not disturbed at the back.
Easy, quiet walk to the centre of town and the RSC.
Needs an EV charging point, although there's a free one in the sister hotel 400 metres down the road.
- Verified traveler (10/5): July19 - Great stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Cannot fault our stay here. From the warm welcome, to the lovely quiet rooms to the superb breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel like it was our home. Cannot recommend this Hotel enough. Thank you
- Janis (10/5): A touch of luxury - We Were actually transferred to Arden Hotel. It was brilliant. I have stayed at Arden House previously and thoroughly enjoyed it
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very friendly staff and nicely kept hotel. Room a little hot, even with open windows.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Well appointed. Water in coffee and tea machine not hot enough. Needed descaling. Would like to see cotton buds that don’t have plastic stems.
