Jannis (7/5): Trotz einiger Kleinigkeiten konnte man Abends beim Sonnenuntergang im Hottub chillen. - Sauber und Modern. Der Hottub war super. Kücheneinrichtung schon etwas stark benutzt. Der Pfannendeckel war defekt, auch wohl schon seit längerem. Die Unterkunft wird mit einem Schlafsofa beworben, aber es ist einfach ein normales Sofa ohne Schlaffunktion. Hätte ich es vorher gewusst hätte ich etwas anderes gebucht. Mein Nacken hätte es mir gedankt.

Aila (10/5): - Sehr schönes und großes Apartment. Schönes und gut ausgestattetes Bad. Wir hatten das erste Haus. Der Hot Tub war auch schön warm. Besonders die obere Etage hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Für uns als Familie mit 2 Kindern und 1 Kleinkind waren wir sehr froh, dass es dort eine Waschmaschine und einen Trockner gab. Es gab nichts negatives.

The cleanliness was impeccable, and every detail seemed thoughtfully prepared. The large windows and surroundings made the experience even more magical — especially in the evening. It truly felt like a quiet escape in nature. Honestly, there was nothing to complain about. Everything exceeded our expectations😊

James (9/5): Amazing stay in a beautiful location - Cottage is located just a 10 minute drive from the airport and Akureyri centre. Fantastic views from the cottage. Absolutely loved the hot tub. Easy to use and lovely and warm. Cottage is well equipped and felt very homely. Absolutely loved our stay here and hope to return in the future. Great spot to see the Aurora as away from the city lights. Could have stayed a lot longer than a week. We loved the stay, no complaints at all. Would highly recommend.

Amanda (9/5): - The location was perfect for seeing the Northern lights and the views were amazing. The cottage is in a nice quiet area that is only really accessible by taxi or if you hire a car. Nice modern appliances. A bigger freezer space, in the fridge, would have been useful.

Arsonild (8/5): - The location is great if you have a car. We got a rental and was very close and convenient parking was amazing. The bed was Extremely confortable and had new sheets. The lighting of the house was extremely poor. There were lights all around, but were vague dim lights which kind of blinded you. And the living room needed some dusting and cleaning
Simron (10/5): A cosy perfect spot to stay - We loved the location for the views and quick drive to town and forest lagoon, a car is definitely need. It was very cosy and warm! Even though it was -8 outside, we were so toasty inside and the hot tub was great to enjoy the sky at night Also a great spot to see the northern lights! We were lucky to see them all 3 nights of our stay

KYRIAKI AIKATERINI (10/5): - The hot tub was working very well, you could easily adjust the temperature. One very small detail is that the yard and the hot tub are located by the road of the neighbourhood so it's not so private and it can get a bit busy.

Daniel (10/5): Tolle, saubere Unterkunft mit Hot Pots draussen und super Einrichtung drinnen. - Super Einrichtung, sogar mit Backofen, Abwasch- und Waschmaschine sowie Hot Pots mit toller Sicht auf den Fjord und Akureyri. Die Unterkunft war sauber, gut erreichbar und trug zu einem unvergesslichen Aufenthalt im Norden Islands bei. Die Zufahrt war Ende Dezember eisig, mit dem 4x4 war es aber kein Problem.

Tadeo Julián (8/5): Nice stay for a few days! - These are very nice cottages to switch off for a few days. The views and the location were beautiful, and we had everything we need. The hot tub is a plus! Our cabin was very small. It's ok for two people and a few days but for moments we had the feeling we were a bit "trapped". The bedroom is upstairs and the stairs were dangerously steep, which is not very convenient for people with reduced mobility.

Je relève juste trois petits axes d’amélioration: -Peut être rajouter une deuxième poêle pour cuisiner car une seule est un peu limite. -changer le micro-ondes pour un four micro-ondes -machine à café capsules (mais présence d’une cafetière italienne)

Ines (10/5): Ein unvergesslicher Urlaub. - Wir haben uns von Anfang an wohl gefühlt, alles inklusive Hot Tube ist voll funktionsfähig, sehr sauber und es werden einem nicht nur Badetücher, Bettwäsche, Pflegeprodukte, sondern auch Bademäntel zur Verfügung gestellt. Man hat eine wunderschöne Aussicht, die Lage ist ruhig und man ist trotzdem schnell in Akureyri.

Nina (7/5): - Sehr schön gelegen über Akureyri, traumhafter Ausblick auch aus dem tollen Jacuzzi, schön warm beheizt, sehr freundliche Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter, super Lage für Unternehmungen in der Umgebung. Waschmaschine vorhanden ist auch super. Ein super Ort um die Polarlichter zu genießen! Das ist kein Minus, daran sind wir selber schuld aber wir dachten in einem der anderen Häuser gebucht zu haben daher lohnt es sich genau auch in dem Buchungsabschnitt zu schauen, wir waren in dem schwarzen kleinen Häuschen nicht in einem der anderen daneben. Als störend habe ich es empfunden das Bett auf meiner Seite nur über den Fußteil verlassen zu können, rechts daneben ist die Wand. Das Häuschen ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber im Wesentlichen (bis auf die Dunstabzughaube) gut sauber. Auch bei der Küche wäre zb ein Wasserkocher angenehm bzw da ist es auch ganz gut vorher genau die Ausstattung nachzulesen.

Nadine (10/5): - Dieses Appartement war mit Abstand eines der schönsten, das wir auf unserer Rundreise gebucht hatten. Ruhig gelegen, mit grosser Terrasse und sehr schöner Aussicht. Bzgl der Ausstattung blieben keine Wünsche offen - von der sehr geschmackvollen und modernen Inneneinrichtung über Spiele, Bücher und Hot Tub war alles vorhanden was unseren Aufenthalt sehr komfortabel gemacht hat. Wohlfühlfaktor pur! Alles war perfekt und wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!!! Nichts - es war schlichtweg perfekt!
Madeleine (9/5): Heerlijk comfortabel familieverblijf - Het huisje was echt perfect! Wij hebben genoten. Het huisje was echt compleet. Er ontbrak ons aan niets. Ook de hottub was heerlijk! Echt een absolute aanrader! We hebben 12 accommodaties bezocht maar deze staat met stip op 1!! De badkamer had een urinegeur. We denken dat dit van de afvoer komt. Dat dient goed nagekeken te worden.

Linda (10/5): Superb accommodation, location and amenities! - Location, set up and amenities were superb. Loved the aesthetics, felt like we were getting a true taste of Iceland. Communication was efficient. Beverages in the refrigerator and the hot tub were a bonus! Wished we could have replicated this set up throughout Iceland as it worked very well for a family. Nothing, everything had been thought of.

Tricia (9/5): Large spacious cottage with great views. - Great location with beautiful views. Very spacious and comfortable cottage. Hot tub was a nice bonus. Barbecue needed cleaning and was missing propane tank but owner was very responsive and quickly rectified the issue.
Melissa (8/5): Very good stay in a quality accomodation - would return! - You can tell that whoever designed and built this property has a strong eye for design and aesthetics, they really put a ton of effort into everything - the fixtures, the decorative details, appliances and the furnishings. Everything was to a super high standard and it shows. I especially loved the crow! Shower water pressure was so good, almost too good! Coffee maker was pour over style, fine by me and a nice change to the capsule makers that produce so much waste. The birch walls brought me back in time to the 90's, loved it! Appreciated that there was a washing machine too! Beds were quality and comfortable. Outdoor grill was great! Wall speaker was a nice extra touch! I want to build a tiny house just like this for myself and will take home with me a ton of inspiration! So thank you! I would return to this property in the future. Asking guests to do the dishes is totally fine, but please provide more than just 1 single tea towel. It was barely suitable to wipe and clean the countertops let alone dry the dishes as it did not dry fast. Paper towels would be nice, as I felt I couldn't clean up as good as I would have liked. I also rent out a property on booking.com, and my guests love that I provide them so they can clean up better. Beer and wine offerings were a nice touch but way too overpriced, even for Icelandic standards, so that was a bummer. It didn't seem like there was much ventilation in the apartment, I noticed this the same in a previous accomodation in Iceland, so be sure to open a window if you are cooking or use the fantastic grill. Stairs were extremely steep, not suitable for children and was NOT warned but managed fine. it's hard to tell from the pictures what apartment you will get since they are all mixed together.

Stephen (8/5): Very good - Quiet, modern with a good functioning hot tub. Washing machine and drier but no iron or ironing board. Good supply of detergent, paper and kitchen basics. Parking is good. Host slow to respond to email on day of entry. Single bathroom on lower level is a bit remote for upper bedroom occupants. The barbecue gas ran out, no replacement or back up, to be fair, I did not attempt to contact the host late on the last evening of our stay.

Laura (8/5): Nice space, great views. - Really nice location. Google maps tried to take us a different way each time. So the hosts may want to check that. A few of the dishes in the drawers were dirty when we arrived, but otherwise very nice and clean. If you are expecting a North American style hot tub, it is not that. No jets and you fill it with hot water yourself. Fills quickly and is ready in about 30-45 minutes. The view is spectacular, very comfortable beds. Would recommend to others.

Shah (9/5): Overall great and would give 10/10 of dishwasher unloading was not a requirement - Nicely setup, perfect for family, hot tub and blue tooth speaker were the best part. Also tv with Netflix was unexpected bonus. No good coffee machine and unloading of dishwasher was unreasonable. Dishwasher takes two hours with drying to get done. On check out day it’s hard to do. Also I can’t trust hygiene of clean dishes because that’s done by previous guest. I have seen lodging of the dishes in many Airbnb and Vrbo but not unloading. It’s not convenient for guests and reliable cleanliness for the hosts

Charlotte (10/5): Fabulous apartment, highly recommend! - Amazing, beautiful decorated, really clean, towels and bath robes provided which was very helpful for the outdoor hot tub! Location is perfect, a short drive across the bridge to the centre, and perfect for driving to waterfalls etc as you’re already on the side you need to be on. Very warm apartment, in fact I turned the heating down as it got a little too warm (not complaining at all!). Would 100% stay here again, will definitely be booking again :)
Amanda (10/5): Best of the best - This was the perfect stop on the ring road. We were 2 minutes from the forrest lagoon, and 5 minutes from the center of Akureyri. The home was well equipped with the BEST shower of our stay. The sky was very dark and great for star/aurora watching. We were thoroughly inpressed with the luxury of the space. Owners were very gracious and went above and beyond for our stay. This place was charming, comfortable, and convenient.
