Cons: bedrooms are in serious need of maintenance, most especially in the bathrooms where the mirrors are all eroded. It seems like this may have been a lovely 5-star hotel many years ago, but has been forgotten about since then. We would stay here again if we came to Palu City.

I was staying @ level 9 .The staff who was dedicated to the floor did his job with due diligence Car park space was limited .The exit out of the carpark was constructed without consideration for turning radius .If you are not careful you may end up hitting the side walls of exit . Almost every other day the hotel is booked for various functions . Many cars to be parked and little space .

The bath towels were ridiculously massive and fluffy, never seen anything so luxurious. cold water shower – I expected that the Best Western would have hot water. Gym/fitness area was dirty and stuffy. No AC.

- Atikahdy (4/5): Inconvenience and unmaintain equipment - The bathroom mirror was already loose, and when it was pulled, it fell and shattered. I reported it. But upon checkout, I was fined 150,000 rupiah. It's frustrating. The mirror broke due to normal use, but you still imposed a fine on the guest..You should also maintain all your equipment to avoid causing inconvenience to customers.

Clean and comfortable rooms, nice swimmingpool, a relatively well-equipped gym and a varied and sumptuous breakfast. The fruit selection is particularly good. The real value of this hotel, however, is the staff. Kind, service-minded and utterly devoted. There is no aircon in the gym, making workout nearly unbearable in the 30+ degree heat. In some places, emergency exits doubled as storage for furniture, constituting a safety risk.

- Sri (7/5): Good - The buffet breakfast has good options. The room was nice and comfortable twin beds. The reception did not pre-empt that our room is part of connecting rooms. I found out when the occupants tried to open the connecting door on our side...not a pleasant moment eventho the door was locked. Instead of change of Rp49 570, I received Rp44 000 and was told they do not have the Rp5570...it is not a big amount of course, but is this common when you pay cash for your room? Bathroom had leaking sink and bidet hose pipes plus the water in the shower drained really slowly.

- Anne (4/5): Very disappointing pictures not true reflection of rooms - Breakfast there was very good choice and staff went above an beyond to assist and help with whatever we wanted for breakfast, no complaints at all was very good. The rooms were tired and in need of refurbishment, not clean, under beds were filthy, staff do no clean under beds. Also we had to move rooms due to what looked like small ants on tea/coffee tray and saucers even in room we moved to had to buy a spray to get rid of them. Be careful what room you sleep in as if mosque side you will be woken every morning at 3.30am with the call to prayer, it’s exhausting. Also gym air conn didn’t work properly so at times was very hot working out, staff spoke minimal English so was difficult to get them to understand. Room service was brilliant on first night but each night after that the orders were consistently wrong again due to order taker not able to understand in English what was required. The chicken on the last night was just clumps if batter very little chicken on the tray ☹️

- Jon (6/5): For the low price, I’ll excuse the shortcomings. - For Palu, the BW cocopalu was probably great. From a NA perspective, it was half cut: 1. The AC thermostat was actually just an on-off switch. No matter where I set it, the AC was on. When things got too cold, I just turned it off. When too hot, I turned it on again. 2. The room safe didn’t work. The engineer couldn’t repair it and he agreed to replace it. Two days later, no replacement. It’s worth mentioning nothing went missing from my room. 3. Everything on Sulawesi was very inexpensive. Despite this, even their standard spirits were very expensive. A double of Johnny Black was more than one night at the hotel. 4. Spa treatments are highly advertised around the property so expecting a top experience was my mindset. They just don’t get notions of discretion, privacy, or decency. At least the price is right. 5. The staff were all very friendly but it was all but impossible to communicate in English. 6. Great breakfast buffet!!!
