- Audrey (7/5): Overall experience not bad. - No breakfast incuded. Location fine. Beautiful bar. Because we were not from the town finding the entrance to the inn was very frustrating. Better signage might help.
- Mark (8/5): - The rooms were clean except the carpet. It really needs to be removed. Carpet in hallway was atrocious. Restaurant was great, good prices and large portions. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good hotel for a small town
- Sandeep (10/5): -
- Corey (8/5): Nice stay - Quite nice clean location no issues. Bed a little hard. But would stay again but we were there for races in morden and was a little further than we thought. Beds could be be better.
- JL62393 (7/5): I would stay again if in the area. - There was no breakfast. It was actually pretty good and great for price. Unfortunately, it wasn't in the location I needed to be, but it was the closest available so nothing the Manitou Inn could do about that.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Was just a one night stay! We all were happy to have a comfortable night sleep
- Marc (7/5): Nice but not refreshing - Good facilities, nice staff, good location proximity to ice machines or other machinery caused occasional loud banging which made sleeping difficult.
- Kallie (6/5): - We did ask for a standard room with a queen sized bed but ended up with a full bed.
- Gregory (10/5): - Good clean older motel with attached restaurant and bar.
- Robert (8/5): - I would stay again
- Bev (8/5): Very good -
- Erna (9/5): Clean, comfortable and value for money. - This is the only available accommodation in Manitou. I travelled from South Africa to visit my mom in the local care home. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. Good value for money. I battled a bit with the lock on the door and the one bedside light needed attention.
- Mary Anne (8/5): - had a good night sleep
- Ann (3/5): Please sleep in youre car. - Nothing, it was horrible. I hated it, the room smelt like an ashtray, the bathroom was foul smelling as well, it was horrible.
- Mary Anne (6/5): - had a queit and peaceful night
- Lauren (10/5): - Stayed here since me and a friend were skiing at holiday mountain- 10 mins from the hill. Well maintained for a little family owned small town motel! Great food and cocktail choices at the restaurant connected, lots of homemade meals including burgers and fries.
- Jason (9/5): Superb -
- Marcin (10/5): - Simple but clean and pleasant. Exactly what we needed for an overnight stay. Breakfast at the restaurant was delicious.
- Christy (8/5): Very good -
- Samantha (10/5): - Exactly what I expected. Older style motel, however was clean. Had a restaurant/ bar and vendor attached. Had breakfast at the restaurant..very “greasy spoon” and delicious. Homemade hashbrowns. Definitely value for a great price.
- Azra (8/5): - .
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Teresa (10/5): - The room was clean with a modern bathroom. Coffee and tea were available in the room. Nice and close to Holiday Mountain for skiing. Very good basic motel. I would stay again if in the area.
- Colette (10/5): - Clean and quiet in a lovely small town.
- Denis (7/5): Good -
- Jim (10/5): - The room was comfortable and clean. Recently renovated shower on older motel was very comfortable. I would have preferred a little more flexibility in temp control in the room
- Valerie (10/5): - The staff was amazing as was the food !
- Jill (8/5): I would definitely stay here again if I was in the area. - Convenient, clean, relatively quiet, nice staff with good email communication when I had questions before my stay. The Mini Fridge was much better quality than what you typically find, with a separate freezer for our ice packs! The room had a microwave, coffee maker, and tea/coffee, with pretty ceramic mugs. It would be nice if the room had better interior lighting, even with the three lamps, it was a bit dark.
- Pamela (8/5): - Clean quiet safe
- Phuong (8/5): - It is clean
- James (6/5): - Older motel. Flooring and shower has been up dated. Has a fridge and a coffee maker. Furniture shows its age, bath towels are thin. Ceiling vents and heater vents are really dirty. Pillows are flat and uncomfortable, beds were ok. Good for a stop over not for a long term stay.
- Nancy (10/5): I’d stay again! - I received a very warm friendly welcome. The room is clean quiet big and restful. The restaurant food is delicious and provides a fun friendly atmosphere.
- Kyle (8/5): Basic, clean, no complaints really. - I was in town for a family event, I just needed a place to stay for a couple of nights. The room was clean, with very basic amenities. Considering it's the only motel in town, it was very well-maintained. Check-in and check-out are a little weird because you have to go into the bar to pay for your room and get your keys, and the morning I checked out it was obviously closed so I had to call someone to let them know I was checking out. All in all, if you just need a place to sleep for a few nights, it serves its purpose.
- ANGELA (8/5): - Good food at restaurant and very reasonable, quiet and clean , earlier check in was 2 pm.
- Samantha (8/5): Very good -
- Janet (10/5): - The place was quiet and close to where we needed to be.
- Colin (10/5): - Awesome time at the motel. It’s not as bad as it looks. Food is great!
- Samantha (6/5): - Stayed for one night on my way across Canada with my partner, dog and two cats. Nice, clean bed but maybe the only clean part of the room. Grimy build up on every touched surface- remote had crud over buttons, dirty lamp switches, baseboards coated with dust. The bathroom surfaces were decent, but still a noticeable buildup in every corner or dirt. Pee stains and rusting on the heater. Some how even urine stains and dead flies up on the ceiling??? My partner even found a dead fly on the lettuce of the clubhouse sandwich we ordered from the attached restaurant. Super disappointing considering the price of our meal- $38 for a clubhouse (no side), chicken strips and fries and two cans of pop. All in all, if you don’t have pets and have other options… I would stay elsewhere. But for a pet friendly accommodation, it was a clean bed after a long day or driving.
- Melody (6/5): Pleasant - Loved how quiet and peaceful it was. Hard to find manager if needed
- Karen (4/5): Disappointed - Small cheap place, I heard breakfast was good, homemade, by the road construction crew staying there. Beds were not bad for comfort. Bathroom could have been cleaner and the carpet stunk like urine by the door. Heater/air conditioner was dirty and vents had not been cleaned in a while. Will not be staying there again.
- Brad (10/5): - It was an old building and could have used a little bit of love but the customer service agent was friendly, the place was clean, very quiet and the price was affordable.
- Unnatibahen (10/5): - Amazing
- George (8/5): - The bathroom at the Manitou Motor Inn has been completely redone with a nice walk-in shower. Had to turn on the air conditioner to get room more comfortable. Once the room was cool it was great. There was a problem with the coffee maker it only had an 18 inch cord. To make coffee I had to put the coffee maker on the floor. When the room was was made up later that day the coffee filter was still left in the coffee maker. and the mug was not cleaned. However it was nice to see a coffee mug rather than the usual paper cup. Other than that the room was great.
- Joseph (10/5): - Great Place. Hidden Gem.
- Jamie L (8/5): Nice hotel, great service - Is a simple motel, but kept very clean, comfortable beds, hot water and good pressure in shower.
Manager accommodating to get us checked in early as the room was available, we arrived early to head out hiking, was great to drop off all gear, not have to leave in truck and worry about being stolen while we were out.
- Colin (10/5): - Could hear murmurs of people in other rooms through the walls but room was clean and staff was nice.
- Violet (8/5): Very good - Cozy comfortable room, very quiet, newer shower, good bed, smelled fresh No coffee maker, would have been great to have a coffee, the restaurant was closed because of the holiday
- Ion (8/5): Very good -
- Scott (7/5): Good -
- Aione (10/5): Exceptional - Spacious and clean
- George (8/5): - Comfortable stay
- Timothy (6/5): Adequate room, but barely. - Bed and pillow was comfortable. Restaurant food was fantastic. No coffee maker in the room. Restaurant didn’t open until 7:30 am. Room was cold, no heat control. Room was noisy because of other neighbouring guests. No spare roll of toilet paper. Very small bath towel. Room very cramped, barely room for luggage. No access to restaurant from inside the motel. You had to go outside and walk around to the entrance. Not great in the winter.
- Ron (9/5): Superb -
- Don (9/5): Small town, good location, friendly people! - The breakfast in the restaurant was excellent with incredibly friendly staff! The room was a little rough with not enough plug ins, but we had a good rest and it was good value.
- Nicolas (10/5): - Great place to stay.
- Vasyl (1/5): Bad - Bar Old rundown motel
- Grace (8/5): Short but sweet, very enjoyable, would stay again. - Free wifi, very comfy bed, staff were kind and friendly. Shower was great temperatures and pressure. Door locks automatically, complimentary candies, fresh scent, tells you the specials for the restaurant and bar attached which was nice. Friendly neighbourhood, felt very safe. Overall a wonderful stay. If an event is happening around manitou will definitely stay here again.
- Denis (8/5): - Clean, quiet and affordable
- Dennis (6/5): Pleasant -
- Linda (7/5): Served the purpose, a bed for a family reunion. - Didn’t have breakfast but supper was great. Wifi not working. No phone or alarm in room. No comfortable chair.
- Doug (10/5): - Clean and quiet, but a box of tissues in the room would be a nice addition
- Hambert (8/5): - Staff are very nice and very approachable. Place is clean.
- Abraham (6/5): - Of all the options in the area…. “It did the job”. It was clean, and the staff are great.
Thanks
- Barry (8/5): - Very friendly staff...we enjoyed our stay.
- Kent (8/5): - This property was nothing fancy, but was neat and clean. The restaurant in the motel was nice with very good food, and the bar was also part of the same property, but it was very quiet.
- Gerald (6/5): - Very untidy and old.
- Cherryl (8/5): - The staff is very friendly , helpful and welcoming.
- Charleen (4/5): - Was nice to have restaurant attached
- Larry (8/5): - I got there early as I was attending a wedding. The lady couldn't access my reservation on the computer, but was very helpful and checked me in anyway so I cud get to the chapel on time! Upon my return very late, my receipt had been put under the door. Thanks to Tracie.
- Richard (8/5): Good for a one night stay. - It's a very basic motel, but it's clean, comfortable and the WiFi worked well. It was a hot day and the AC was able to keep the room cool. With 2 beds the room was quite cramped. There is a restaurant on site.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - New beds and rooms redone since we stayed last. Friendly staff. Rooms very clean
- GEORGE (10/5): - Desk lamp between beds was not plugged in. Plugged it into power bar for extra light. When I tried to unplug lamp there were sparks. Noticed tape on cord. Called motel made them aware of lamp. Other than that stay was great.
- Junyao (10/5): Best value in Manitou area - I stayed at Manitou Motor Inn few times before. It was pretty pleasant to stay there.
Room was recently renovated with fridge and microwave.
Clean beds and shower room.
The bar attached to it has variety of bears to choose from.
- Steven (10/5): - Place is clean, staff is really friendly, there’s a restaurant in the motel and the food is really good only downside for me is that the internet is not that good but otherwise its a really good place to stay
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Adequate. Beds, bathroom, tv. A mini-fridge, which was unexpected and nice.
- Wilson (10/5): - This property is very clean and economically priced. It is very quiet and conveniently located for our concert at the Opera House. They also have an excellent restaurant.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Friendly courteous staff. Indoor access to restaurant. Good food. Older units, but kept up. Would definitely stay there again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very clean room. Some updates made. Bed not very comfortable, however. A good basic room. Attached restaurant is very good.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean room. Friendly, accommodating staff. Great food in the restaurant.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - This was a beautiful town super Quiet and wonderful people.
The service was great!
The rooms were not as clean as I expected!
- Jan (8/5): oNE NIGHT STAY - Senior couple needed a room for 1 night. Everything is clean and neat. Would have liked 2 beds but OK. Breakfast at restaurant was good. Furniture, especially bed was old and room needed PAINTING, BUT OTHERWISE IT IS WHAT IT IS.
- ND19 (8/5): - This was a great place to stay and convenient for us. It was cozy, clean, bright, and just right for what we were looking for.
