• Marisa (8/5): We had a lovely relaxing stay. - The room was exactly as described. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Although on the outskirts of town the motel was only three doors away from a comprehensive block of shops. Although clean and in good condition the decor was a bit dated.

Room was of a studio type, containing a large comfortable bed along with two single beds. Also had a large table with chairs. Heating took a little while to take effect but once achieved, maintained a comfortable warmth. It had a separate kitchen containing all essential items. Ensuite was of a good size and contained a shower over tub that had good water pressure and hot water. While located on a main highway, room was quiet. A little travelling is however required to reach Invercargill’s CBD and dining options (apart from a local takeaway). Excellent Wi-Fi. Heating took a little while to take effect. The kitchen had a “tired” appearance, and in need of some maintenance and redecorating. Ensuite was of a good size and contained a shower over tub that had good water pressure and hot water. Only a bar of soap was supplied instead of shower gel, and no hair wash.

• saipan1 (8/5): First timer, its very nice - My first stay at the Hacienda. Reservation was made on a 3rd party site. Check in was fast and easy. Rooms are very clean and large. Wifi is strong and stable. Easy to find as its on hwy 1 . Food and places to eat within a 5 min walk. Its winter time so the electric blankets are a nice touch.

• Tracy (8/5): - Very much enjoyed our stay, the only thing that was a bother was TV reception was very poor being connected to SKY tv with the issues they are having, would be much better to upgrade the tv and connect Chrome Cast for better reception and variety to watch when the bad weather rolls in, and being outdoors isn't an option and a tv in the bedroom would've been a good option to have also! other small things would be to have a few extra things like a bench top air fryer, like I said only small things really, all in all was a lovely place to stay in and reasonable price to pay. Thank you, Jo, for looking after us.

• Duncan (8/5): A quiet relaxing stay, enabling us to take in the local attractions - A good location close to the city, relatively quiet, taking in its location alongside the main route north. The offensive notice saying that cooking of ‘seafood or curries’ was not allowed. This information is not in the ‘booking.com’ information - motel policies. Whereas, I would not think of cooking fish in someone else’s home, I see nothing wrong with curry. I would not have booked this motel if the ‘policy’ information was correct!
• EDWARD (10/5): - Such a friendly welcome. I arrived very early just wanting to leave my luggage but was immediately given an upgrade to a room that was ready. Everything was spotless a nice spacious room with dining area and kitchenette. The ladies were very friendly and helpful. Definitely would come back again
