Guest Reviews
- Hadrien (10/5): -
- Amanita (9/5): Absolutely lovely, home-like accommodations in a great neighborhood. - Great rooms with amenities. Nice people. Comfortable and safe. Wonderful location. Nice little pool and lounging areas. Accommodating staff very available and friendly. Nice cats. Some of the kitchen equipment not great (e.g. toasters half functional). Pillows too big! Note that Maps did not direct us to the right location.
- Andrei (2/5): I don’t recommend - The lock on the door to my room was broken, the safe wasn't working, and there was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. There were cockroaches in the kitchen and ants in the bedroom. When I requested to change rooms, I was told that everything was occupied, even though there were available rooms (I checked through Booking).
- Dayan (10/5): Had a great quiet stay with a lot of nature around me - Peace and quiet. Great atmosphere and communication with Andres was excellent. He took care of everything I needed. 4 minutes walk from holistika . The room was spacious and very clean. The hotel is far from the town, I recommend that anyone who wants to stay in the area rent a car or scooter because taxis in the area are very expensive.
- Mark (9/5): Superb -

- Alexandruserb (1/5): Complete tourist trap with old photos - The location
Free parking in front of the "hotel"
The kitchinete usefull -Moved rooms 4 time why? Because of how incompetent they are and how much they care about the customers.
-3rd floor has no WI-FI coverage in rooms
-Mold everywhere
-Room 6 has no key
-Room 3 got flooded and we came to the hotel to find out that all doors were opened with our belongings there, full of mosquitos.
Shower sink barely drains
The administrator barely understands English and the owner doesn't give any F about you or the Hotel.
Contacted booking to cancel the rest of the nights left and refund me the rest of the money. Owner did not agree to booking terms and we were forced to stay there for other 2 days
Avoid at all cost it's not worth the money the place looks abandoned and it's just to take the money with no customer focus.
- Zaid (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carlos (10/5): Great place to feel the real tulum vibe, close to la veleta Main Street walk with lots of places to go - Excelent place, great area to stay
- Laura (5/5): Good location but a few other issues - Location was good Had to wait in a rainstorm for 20 minutes as no one was at reception. There was a cockroach in the room, no towels or toilet paper. The staff did provide it and were apologetic but not great first impressions.
- Hui (8/5): Very nice place to stay. - The room is big and comfortable. Location is good, there are plenty restaurants around. There is no hair dryer and no instructions how to checkout , because there is no receptionist.
- Giorgia (9/5): Highly recommended - Very cozy mini apartment, with a nice terrace, comfortable bed, and spacious shower.
Great location, and quiet despite being close to bars and restaurants. WiFi was weak and unstable
- Federica (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing place, great staff, there are cats around too!
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lenka (8/5): Very good - Nice spacious apartment with kitchen and small terrace. Parking infront of the gate, private swimmingpool in the garden.
Shops nearby.
- Skogberg (8/5): Very good - Cool host/ staff , has the local knowledge with a travelers understanding of guests wants and needs. Very present but not intrusive. The place was quiet and had everything I would need. Unfortunately the key box wasn't working so we had to use the vacant room next doors. And the power went out for some hours. But that is a city wide occurrence presumably due to a super fast developing new town/ city.
- Julia (10/5): Exceptional - lovely tropical setting . great spacious apartment with two private outside spaces . Staff very friendly and helpful .
- Juliana (10/5): beautiful, central, quiet , excellent - beautiful, central, quiet , excellent I loved everything
- Katarzyna (7/5): Good -
- B (9/5): Superb -
- Sergio (8/5): Great place in the center of la veleta - The place was great also the location is perfect, just in La Veleta main street. There are a lot of restaurants, stores and cafes. They have a problem with the water, the smell was really bad! I couldn't brush my teeth with that water. They said that is Tulum water but I have been in 3 or 4 other places and they didn't have that issue. And if it's Tulum water please invest in a filter or something.
- ana (10/5): - I loved this place l high recommend.
- Szapar (10/5): Exceptional - It is the place to be! I loved everything about it!
- Kathleen S (8/5): Muy felices en el hotel - Muy amable el personal del hostal y la
Propiedad es hermosa. El restaurante no estaba habilitado pero cerca hay muchos lugares para comer y al lado una tienda. Regresaría feliz
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Loved the place the team is amazing! Breakfast was pretty good it took a little bit of time but overall was a great great hotel I will go back for sure
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Please do not be fooled by the photos. This is so much less than ideal... the pool is not really usable, the food is not nice and it's very far from town. They will rent you bikes which is somewhat helpful. They charged an extra $50 per night, per person, for someone to sleep on the couch. With zero amenities, what on earth is this cost for? Between staff constantly looking in our room and lack of amenities, lack of friendliness and overcharging for everything, I can not recommend. You are better off in a hostel for much less money or finding a rental.
- Vladimir (10/5): - Super great place! Huge size 2-room apartment with a balcony and a terrace in the front! Very modern, very clean! Comfortable king size bed. Area is very local and deserted, need a car! But be sure to visit Holistika resort in the area, which is only a 5-7 minutes walk. They let you in without stopping for free, has a spacious jungle garden with art installations, 2 awesome swimming pools, many other interesting things on their property!
- Rafael (10/5): October Vacations (Tuulum) - Great place, clean room, lovely view, really friendly staff! Next trip considering booking again and staying more days.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Wonderful boutique property! - Casa Tulum was a great find! It is in a quiet section of Tulum, away from the party noise, but just a short walk or bike ride to everything you might want. Rooms were clean and well equipped, front desk friendly and helpful. There is a small restaurant that serves brunch, but never did eat there so can't comment on it.
Wonderful find and can't wait to return!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Quite and relaxing - Really nice clean and quite hotel loved how the rooms were set up amazing staff. Not to far from the center of town.
- Liza (8/5): Nice hotel in Tulum town - BED was comfy. Like brand new . Nice kitchen with blender, toaster etc. Nice comfy couch/ day bed in the living room area. Beautiful wood furniture. Small store next door to get water/ beer/treats. Very sweet staff and nice pool.
Not close to downtown so need bycicle which they have. Or taxi.
- David (8/5): Quiet, comfortable, great value - Casa Tulum is a cute, new hotel with good service and well-priced rooms. The hotel is located at the outskirts of the city in an area that is continuing to be developed (the street in front of the hotel was being prepared to be paved during our stay and a mini-mart opened next door on our last day). We enjoyed the quiet, private room that was nicely decorated and well maintained, and we especially liked having the sitting area and kitchen in the room. It would have been difficult to get to and from the hotel without a car or taxi service, but the good price made it an attractive place to stay while we explored Tulum and the surrounding area. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful, and I would stay here again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice, Relaxing Hotel - A little difficult to find at first. I arrived at night. My room was very nice. Great chef. Pool and front and back decks on all rooms. Very relaxing. Free bikes provided. Short drive or 30 minute ride to the beach. Convenient to the town.
- Chad & Melissa (10/5): The hotel is clean, tranquil and beautiful. - The staff was so nice and very knowledgeable about where to go for private and unique experiences. This is in downtown Tulum and very immersed in the Mexican culture. If you want more than the beach gimmick, give this a try. We were not disappointed..
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good value! - Good value for the property. There was a lot of construction going on around the hotel.
- Jose (6/5): - Since I arrived there was no one to open the front door, spent more than 15 minutes to get in. No cleaning service in my room while my stance.
Pool area don`t encourage you to be there.
Bed comfort was not as expected.
Hotel concept is nice, staff was nice. I think price was not fair compared with the service.
