Guest Reviews
- Mark (10/5): - The property is on a quiet street and has a very chilled vibe. Beautiful garden and pool area surrounded by mango trees and a sitting eating area. Staff are warm and friendly and the rooms are clean with comfortable beds. Easy access to street markets, museums and the Royal Palace as well as the riverside.
- Mark (10/5): - The staff at the Blue Lime are friendly and courteous and always ready with a smile. The property is super clean, quiet and and has a beautiful garden area with a swimming pool. The riverside, museum, the Royal Palace and great restaurants and street food all within walking distance. I highly recommend the Blue Lime.
- Jean-Charles (8/5): - Personnel attentif et aidant - service un peu au petit déjeuner.
- Christopher (2/5): - Horrible experience, The alley to this hotel was on was absolutely disgusting garbage and very poor condition Road. Do not use the laundry service extremely expensive I was charged $7 for 5 items and they lost my laundry bag and would not do anything about it. The room was noisy you could hear everything from the street below. Tuk Tuc drivers outside were like leaches and wanted to charge double what pass app charged so be careful, use the app you will get a better price and friendly service.
- Dirk (10/5): - In einigen Zimmern könnten neue Möbelstücke ersetzt werden. Aber sehr schön. Sonst das Hotel sehr schön und ruhig.Nicht weit zur River.
- Roger (8/5): Blue lime just fine - Good value for money, good location and breakfast was just fine( good coffee). The guy who worked nights was particularly nice as was breakfast guy who also was my tuk tuk driver! Prefer no plastic water bottles just a refill option and glass bottles. Ask for rooms on lower floors or you’ll feel like u did a step class just getting to your room.
- Julia (8/5): - The hotel was affordable and in a great location. Very easy to walk to the Grand Palace and other areas, decent free breakfast. Pool area looked nice but we didn't get a chance to use it. Staff was nice and helpful, though communication was difficult at times. The rooms are very basic. They need a deep clean, paint job, and upgrade. It was clean enough, but definitely not a place I felt completely comfortable.
- Katie (10/5): - Our stay at Blue Lime was absolutely the best experience! The airline lost our luggage, and if it was not for the help of all of the staff, specifically "Jack" and "Reach", our trip to Cambodia could have been a disaster. They coordinated the delivery of our luggage to us as well as taking incredible care of us during our stay. So much care, that we decided to change our plans at the end of our trip to go back and stay several more nights. Beautiful property, pool was wonderful, gardens were amazing, bed was sooooo comfortable, a/c did the trick and walking distance to the river front, royal palace and delicious food. Also, we absolutely LOVED the friendly tuk-tuk drivers that were willing to take us to various sites (Mr. Thoun was our favorite, and he went above and beyond). Overall, we WILL be back to Blue Lime to see our friends.
- mark (4/5): Far far from "fabulous." - Far from "fabulous," I couldn't wait to leave. Morning was metal grinding from next door, evenings was thunderous club music from a nearby bar into the wee hours. Room furnishings were early Khmer Rouge. Toilet seat was totally broken and wifi dodgy as hell. Informed mgm't who said "We'll check," which loosely translated means "Don't hold your breath." Pool and lobby are pretty for photos, but the rest of the place hasn't been touched in 30 years. Another fellow begged for 3 days just to get fresh towels. Also rife with mosquitos. Breakfast very basic. For a laugh, order the pancakes. You'll see. In a decade of travel, this may rank as the most overrated place I have stayed. One calls into question the veracity of the positive reviews.
- James (10/5): Great place - Great hotel nice pool walking to night markets and river front breakfast was good too
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Superb. Super friendly staff. Super breakfast and restaurant. Super swimming pool.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice staff & pleasant boutique hotel in Pp! Great breakfast and very helpful in helping book taxis and around tours!
- Margaret (8/5): - It was like an oasis in a city that is pretty hot and dirty. Pool was great staff were helpful. The only reason I didn’t give it an excellent is that we had the wrong room at first (double bed and we had requested 2twins). But they changed it as soon as they could.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The staff was exceptional, the location ideal, and the pool common area was an oasis. Our room was a bit loud at night - pigeons and a weird generator noise - but this is probably only the case on the top floor and we still very much cherished our time there.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The check-in staff were extremely pleasant. The hotel seems to cater mainly for the Chinese market. But this is not a problem, in fact probably a bonus as the pool was always empty. The breakfast was nothing special, but then it's not a 5 star hotel. So all in all, I would say it's OK if you want to go to a budget hotel that is a bit different.
- KingMan (10/5): - Everything my is good.
Location is good, near Royal Palace
Hotel atmosphere is nice
- Ricardo (8/5): - Very nice and comfortable hotel in avery central location
- Savanthi (8/5): Delightful property in the heart of PP - The property in itself is a hidden gem as it is located in a busy, rather dirty and dusty part of PP. once you enter the property all is forgotten. The service was superb. All requests were met with a smile. Most of the amenities offered were very thoughtful (multi extension cord etc). Few issues with water drainage in the bathroom sink etc were noted.
- EJ (4/5): - DONT TRUST THOSE HIGH SCORE REVIEWS. Yes, the hotel is located in good location and look kinda nice at the lobby and pool area, but the room conditions are poor. Our first room, the door lock got problem, so we had to change it. The staff was very attentive though, I would give them credits for this. The property is way too aged. Bed was bad, worn down and mattress is too soft; we had a backache woken up. The linen got a lot of sand and dust too, as if they haven't cleaned before we checked in. Shower leaked, no hairdryer, and no elevator.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Beautiful oasis in Cambodia - Beautiful property, small but nice breakfast, awesome private plunge pool. Staff is friendly but disorganized--I was asked to pay for a driver/ride that never showed up to pick me up (!), and they missed giving me a requested wake up call.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Our room was small but we went for the cheapest one. The location is excellent. Dozens of restaurants nearby and a short walk to the river. The hotel is down an alley and very quiet. Staff is helpful. Breakfast was great. We had a dinner and lunch there that were also very good. It will be my go to place when I am visiting Phnom Penh.
- Kailey (10/5): Beauty and great service in the heart of the city - Beautiful property set down a small alley within walking distance of the river, Royal Palace and National Museum. The rooms are well appointed, clean, spacious and bright. The staff is very kind and helpful. Breakfast, which was included, is very well done and the additional items on the menu were also included such as bacon or museli. We enjoyed a late night swim in the pool after a long, hot, somber day at the Genocide Museum and Killing Fields (both highly recommended to really understand Cambodia’s history). The building is charming but as is common in older building it should be noted that there isn’t an elevator and the stairs are rather steep, most rooms are upstairs. We had 3rd floor rooms and had no problem but if we had a lot of heavy luggage or physical limitations it could have been challenging so if that is you mention it when you book. Power adapters for Americans are a necessity, items only slowly trickle charged without. Plenty of bottled water was provided and just ask if you need more.
- Verified traveler (10/5): A Peaceful Place - It was a perfect place to relax and read a book.
- Jacko (10/5): - 1st off I'll say the place is older than expected but for the price in Phnom Penh we were satisfied the tv sucked but with DVD shop nearby we had plenty to watch at night lovely staff too.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I really enjoyed the grounds. They were set up more like a a small mansion than a hotel chain. The pools (private and shared), the staff, the breakfast and other meals were all top notch. There was a small issue with the biting insects but a little repellent solved that. The private pool got murky after the first couple of days also. But it wasn’t due to being dirty or unsafe. Just a natural setting and open air. I would definitely go back to the Blue Lime Hotel
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Kind staff, clean, and good amenities provided. Pool was great and restaurant had good food.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The private pool was very good. The service was extremely good. The food was delicious.
It was difficult to locate - needed better signage at laneway entrance The bathroom needed refreshing and a little maintenance.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Overall a good stay - It was a good stay overall. Room was basic clean room. There was a king(?) bed and a smaller bed/couch in the room. The bigger bed easily fits 3 smaller to average size people. Mattresses are hard (but from my experience in Cambodia, that's the norm). TV could be updated - it was a small CRT TV. Not a huge issue as you're not there to watch TV, but in the evenings when you're waiting for your turn for the shower it's nice to have an updated TV that doesn't have horizontal lines. The a/c unit worked, but looked a little older and took a while to cool the room down. Bathroom could be updated - had tiles missing, caulking wasn't the best, etc. Also the drain in the shower didn't drain properly and the water pooled immediately - which is when I noticed there was hair swirling in the drain (not mine as I had just stepped in). I never mentioned anything to the staff, but after the room had been cleaned the next day, the hair was gone. Breakfast was very good. The cabanas by the pool are very nice - they even have fans built into them. I didn't go in but was told by my fiance the pool was kept very cold. Based on the reactions of the other people staying at the hotel who were getting into the pool, I would say it's true. The central location and pool/bar area of the hotel are the selling points.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Had some issues on arrival (maps.me gave incorrect location 50 metres down the road, but not the fault of the hotel) & the number listed in Google would not connect, but apart from that the juice, snacks & efficient check-in on arrival was good.
Room was pretty & colourful, quiet, spacious, & very clean. Ample bottled water supplied daily. Decent shower in large bathroom, & nice balcony overlooking the great pool (only 1 of 4 pools so far on this Cambodian trip to actually be *cold* - a big plus when returning from a long, hot day!)
Great quality & very reasonably priced food & drinks available to consume in the dining space by the pool or via room-service. Food & drink services are also very efficient.
Staff are all very friendly, but the hotel needs to do something to get the tuk-tuk drivers in-line - especially considering some of them wear Blue Lime branded attire. Upon exiting the hotel you will be set upon by the Blue Lime drivers, OK Boutique drivers & any independent drivers in the vicinity. Shout out to Driver #6 who was absolutely awesome, but we experienced some problems with most of the rest.
Great proximity to river, museum, palace. 5 minute tuk tuk ride to central market, & 10-15 minutes to Russian Market.
Big thanks for the late check-out!
Definitely recommend Blue Lime to anyone visiting Phnom Penh.
- Donald (10/5): - Good property, good breakfast, good location.
Be aware that when the power is out there is no backup generator.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We enjoyed our stay here
Pros:
Good location near the palace and museum
Great staff
Excellent pool
Great breakfast
Staff helped us coordinate some events and transportation
Cons
Room could use some work - the shower wouldnt drain fast enough and water would start to run into the rest of the bathroom - also hot water was rare
Balcony probably hadnt been cleaned in a decade
Every time we left the hotel (which is an alley) the tuk tuk drivers bombarded us - it got annoying after a few days
A/C barely worked but just enough
We would stay here again
- Cyn (10/5): - Can’t say enough about this outstanding hotel. The location is amazing. The staff are professional, friendly and very helpful. The property is immaculately clean. The breakfast is ample and delicious (included in the room price). The bed was very comfortable. It is not a “budget” hotel, but is not very expensive. GREAT value for your money. I highly recommend this hotel.
- David (10/5): Boutique hotel - Had a great stay at blue lime staff are very professional and friendly awesome pool and location
Thank you again
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The property is a bit old and tired, the room is dusty and water stain on the walls.
- Nathan (10/5): - Loved the hotel. Very friendly staff. Great location.
- Olivier (10/5): - Nice hotel in the heart of Phnom Penh. The breakfast was great, the staff were super friendly. The room and bathroom were clean. I just wish I had booked one of the rooms with a private pool.
- Andy (8/5): - Centrally located but surprisingly quiet.
Very friendly staff.
The pool was a bonus - great to retreat to during the hottest time of the day.
- Helen (4/5): - The hotel is a bit tired looking. It is in a good location (near the Royal Palace) but you have to go down an alley to get to it. It is also very dark inside and there was lots of construction work going on next door meaning the pool area wasn’t very peaceful. The pool and garden look nice in the photos but they are a haven for mosquitoes and this meant we had lots of mosquitoes in our room and in the communal areas. We were also disappointed to find that the mosquito net in our room had holes in. We switched to another room but that too had holes in. Luckily we had a travel net with us too. We just felt that the hotel could do more to prevent mosquitoes getting into communal areas and bedrooms by closing the doors and curtains to the corridor leading to the bedrooms and keeping the air con on in the rooms and reception area. The breakfast was adequate but there wasn’t a great choice and it was only served in the pool area. The staff were friendly and helpful but we didn’t feel like we got a personal service.
- Debbie (8/5): Nice hotel in a great location. - This hotel is in an excellent location and I enjoyed my stay there. The pool is lovely and the bar/restaurant has a great happy hour with lovely cocktails. The breakfast is nice as you can order off the menu, but also get fresh bread, pastries and fruit. The bed was very big and comfortable. The only con was that the room was a little dark.
- Tim (10/5): Staff very friendly - Overall very good services staff very friendly
- Traveller (10/5): Immaculate little guest house in a great location - This guest house delivers great value for money, with nice rooms, friendly staff, a good breakfast, and a charming pool area. I came here on a visit last year, and returned in 2018, and wasn't disappointed either time.
- Jessi (10/5): Perfect boutique spot! - Blue Lime is a great hotel- it’s everything you want in a boutique hotel! Nice enormous th to hang out in, but not so much that you don’t go out and see the city. Nice room, friendly staff, well located, quaint and of course fabulous pool. We had a room with a private pool and loved it! The only subpar part was that as of our stay (aug 2018) there was some major construction adjacent to the hotel, and so there was some construction debris (light dust) by the private and public pool and on the breakfast tables. No fault of the hotel. This is just part of visiting an exciting and growing city like Phnom Penh. We also used the hotel tuk-tuk driver Mr Lucky, #3, and he was the sweetest!!!!
- Susan (8/5): Small Cozy Hotel - Blue Lime located in the center location however it's not really walking distance for me as we took tuk tuk riding everywhere we go. Hotel service/staffs are excellent. We stayed room with private pool, was excellent choice. Be mindful that there is construction going on around..
- Kimberly (6/5): - The pool was beautiful and the breakfast was great. The pool does not get a lot of sunlight and when we did have time to chill by the pool there was a staff photo shoot that lasted over an hour and once it ended it began to rain. I wish they had scheduled the photo shoot for later in the day because they did it around the peak time of 1-3pm. The real bummer was the lack of hot water. The first day the man at reception was so nice and let us use another shower. They said they would fix it during the day. We were gone all day and got drenched in the rain. When we returned at 5pm the hot water was still not working. I asked a man at reception about an update and a woman interjected herself and was very rude. She asked me if I saw it was raining outside and that is the reason for the lack of hot water (even though it had not been raining the night before). Then she told me it was too late in the day to get someone to fix it (it was 5pm...). I then asked very nicely if that meant we were not going to be able to shower again before our flight left early the next morning and she said well yes we could shower it just would not be hot. I really was not up for a cold shower after a day sweating in the Killing Fields and then being drench in a rainstorm that lasted at least an hour and a half. Out of our entire 3 week trip to Southeast Asia this is the only hotel staff that I found to be rude.
- Uri (10/5): - Private pool is Amazing. Hotel is giving good feeling of boutique hot
- Bob (10/5): - Great staff and good location.
- martin (10/5): Asia trip - Good place good location
- Richard (8/5): Relaxing weekend - Very friendly staff, always ready to help. We had booked for three but only two of us could go and when we arrived no one checked, we were just given a double. Not sure what we'd been assigned. We were also quite early, so maybe we just got whatever room was ready. It overlooked the front entrance and the street, so we never used the little balcony.
Pool was lovely, a tad cool at first toe dip, but very relaxing. Good area with lots of eateries and close to the museum and river.
- Carol (8/5): Blue lime - needs re-potting! - Standard room looked like it had seen better days and was a bit tired and furniture left alot to be desired. Location and staff were very good. The pool area was very nice with plenty of cabanas but the pool is freezing as its in shade all day. Staff were very helpful and accommodating.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great location - This hotel has one of the best locations in Phnom Penh. Can't be beat. The service is a mixed bag but the pool is very nice and mostly shaded.
- Janel (10/5): Great Spot in Phnom Penh - Great little hotel with friendly staff. The breakfast was adequate and served beside the lovely pool area. Only complaint was our room was on the third floor & we had to negotiate some very steep steps to get there.
- Lisa (10/5): Oasis in a hot city - Great stay, good location, helpful/friendly staff and awesome pool!
- Michael (10/5): An oasis in a hot city - A welcome swimming pool after a hot day visiting the nearby Royal Palace and National Museum. Close to the river with all the lively bars and restaurants especially the FCC.
- MRIDUL (10/5): Wonderful cosy hotel - Quiet and cosy hotel, about 800 m walk from the party place of Phnom Penh. The hotel was decorated beautifully, providing a calm environment to the guests. Welcome drink and daily morning juice made from passion fruit and mango was amazing and food was delicious. Worth a stay here if you visit Phnom Penh.
- Verified traveler (8/5): little green oasis in the middle of the busy city - nice garden & pool area in the middle of dusty busy city. good sized rooms with ensuite shower room, wifi was good and air-con worked well. quiet room (we faced garden side) - but hotel is down a small dean-end road off a busy street. great location - just minutes walk to waterfront, palace, busy restaurant and bar areas. i would recommend this place if you would like to stay in the centre.
- Lauren (10/5): Gorgeous little oasis in Phnom Penh - Everything about our stay was wonderful. The staff were so lovely, everything from check in to check out was a breeze. The tuk tuk drivers out the front took us anywhere we needed to go, and the Palace and Museum were right on our doorstep. After a long day of exploring, a swim and a cocktail was the perfect way to relax and cool off. Somehow nice and quiet despite being in the city.
Our room was small but all we needed. Everything was clean and tidy upon check in and we always came back to a fresh room after a day out. We found a couple of mozzies flying about our room but thanks the to mosquito net this wasn’t an issue at all.
I seriously cannot recommend this hotel enough. Should we return to Phnom Penh this is where you’ll find us!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Very basic room in noisy street. - We had no window to open and flood from next door across our floor. Pool was lovely and hotel probably had much better rooms. If booking dont book the lowest price rooms! Staff on reception were lovely. Not the cleanest room.
- Patrick (10/5): Great location, great staff brilliant extras - A really pleasant stay practically in down town Phnom Penh. The staff were fantastic, the location great, breakfast at the pool really good and the pool itself was a great leafy oasis in the middle of the city.
The hotel organised a meet and greet between guests and hotel staff one evening at the pool providing free cocktails & food to all. They even organised a complimentary short boat cruise on the Mekong.
All in all a very good stay
- Sisse (8/5): Nice spot but right now there is construction - The hotel it self is really great. We had a great room, but not fancy in anyway. I think the location is great. However I was very disappointed to learn that there was construction right next door going on from 7am to 8pm. So we didn't really feel we could relax here. Especially annoying since we choose this place due to reviews like "quite place".
The breakfast is great, and the people working there is really sweet too.
- Janice (10/5): Blue Lime rocks - Wonderful little boutique hotel and tropical pool oasis in the center of PP. Friendly tuk Turks will take you anywhere....close to many restaurants!
A great pick....lovely little cafe provides great eats!
- Clare (10/5): - An excellent place to relax and great central location. Plenty of tuc tucs, and the staff help with anything you need. Loved having the pool at the end of a hot day.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Oasis in the city. - We really enjoyed our stay at the Blue lime.
We had a room with its own pool which was a real bonus.
The hotel could definitely do with a little TLC but the atmosphere and staff were great.
- Gary (10/5): Extra special hotel - Superb hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Strongly recommend the rooms with individual swimming pools
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice boutique hotel near Royal Palace - Great stay - good location and lovely pool area. Room was spacious and comfortable.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Blue Lime - Really nice hotel, room bright and comfortable. Staff is exceptionally friendly and private pool is right outside window.
- suzanne (8/5): relaxing pool area confirtable beds - we had a quiet room at the back of the Hotel, it was spacious and comfortable. good beds. the swimming pool is great and wonderful to be able to relax from the hectic city. plenty of sunloungers. food is .o.k.
Breakfast is nothing special
- phil (8/5): Friendly hotel - Great value hotel
Staff are helpful and attentive.
Easy walk to the riverside (once you have crossed the road !)
Room was comfortable and clean. Room was opposite main reception but even so there was little noise disturbance.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Definitely stay here - I can't fault it. The breakfast is great, the staff are so kind and helpful. Rooms are fantastic and spotless, and make you feel so comfortable. Bed was a bit hard for those who like a softer version.
Correct, there is no lift, but that really wasn't an issue at all, don't let that put you off.
- Yao (8/5): Nice hotel with the price - The location is very good, hotel stuff are very friendly & helpful
- Lim (8/5): Clean & convenient - Convenient location next to National Museum & walking distance to the riverside where there are good restaurants & pubs.
- William (10/5): Great location and excellent service - The hotel was located within walking distance to the Royal Palace and Riverside walk. The staff were attentive with excellent service. Especially enjoy the daily breakfast served by the poolside. Will definitely stay here again.
- Paula (10/5): A little piece of hidden paradise - We loved our private pool room at Blue Lime. We stayed 4 nights, exploring each morning and sipping happy hour cocktails each afternoon in the hotel bar. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel and location.
My only suggestion is to get an espresso machine so you can provide decent coffee.
- Don (8/5): Good Value in a great location - Hotel is in very handy location close to the river and Palace. Easy walk to restaurants. Our room was cool and quirky with a view over the pool. Has a great restaurant with all you need and a nice breakfast
- hanspeter (10/5): - really liked the stay at Blue Lime hotel. very friendly staff , nice pool area for breakfast and the room with private pool was special. will stay there again on a future trip
- Tracey (8/5): Nice little Hotel - The staff were wonderful and Sambo Mao the tuk tuk driver (Blue Lime number 7) was a lovely guy, very helpful, spoke good English and didn't rip us off. Breakfast was nice and cooked to order. We had the room with a private pool which was awesome at the end of the day. Would highly recommend this one. I stayed here with my Mum and she loved it! The cocktails at happy hour were pretty amazing. The Blue Khmer Margarita is really good!
- rick (6/5): Blue lime - A bit grubby and shabby in parts but adequate for a stop over in the capital
- Kim (8/5): Nice hotel...close to everything. - Overall a good hotel. Room was clean and comfortable but is due for some upgrading. Staff exceptional and made to feel very welcome.
- Scott (10/5): Great little hideaway - What a fabulous hideaway from the crowds, great pool area to cool off in, and a great room.
we loved the fact that we were in the city but it didn't feel like it.
We will be back.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Location and Superb Service - Booked this hotel because of all the good reviews I have read and because of its excellent location.
Location: Personally, it was an easy walking distance from the hotel to the Museum and from the Museum to the Royal Palace. However, if you are not willing to walk, there were several tuktuks readily available outside the hotel. The hotel likewise provides a tuktuk pricelist to give you an idea as to how much it would cost to go to your desired destination.
Amenity: Although the bed was on top of a cement frame, it was comfortable and I had no problem getting my much needed rest. Bottled water, bath robe, coffee, and electric kettle was provided. Shampoo and shower gel was provided in pump form. Aircon was cold.
The pool and the pool lounge was lovely and a welcome escape from the heat.
I also highly appreciate the fact that they allowed me to lounge at the pool and take a shower at the pool's shower before my flight even after I checked out. The shower room had shampoo and towel was available for free.
Cons: The only negative I could mention is the steep stairs, they did not have an elevator and the stairs were quite steep and narrow and several steps were easy to miss hence might be a danger of tripping over. Therefore, I do not recommend this to seniors, or people with disability.
Overall, I would still stay here again. Customer Service was EXCELLENT. Breakfast was simple but delicious, room was clean, place felt safe. All in all I would recommend this hotel.
- SILVIA (8/5): - We visited Cambodia and stayed in Blue Lime for a couples of nights. Everything was super nice, it is very close to night market and restaurants.
Breakfast is not buffet but they provide fruits, croissants, coffee and tea.
Room was clean and personal was very nice and helpful with us.
- Mary (6/5): - Service was NOT great and the pictures were much better then real life!
- chris (10/5): A must stay! - The hotel is tucked away from the crazy main streets. The pool area is amazing and quiet. smaller hotel. Breakfast was delicious. We had a room with a pool and that was fantastic. Staff very helpful. Would recommend as a must stay in Phnom Penh. Short walk to the local shops where up will find reasonably priced food.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Outstanding - My stay at Blue Lime was absolutely fantastic. The service is superb. The staff was so attentive and helpful in advising me on visiting Phnom Penh. I particularly appreciated that they had a list of maximum fees that should be paid for tuk tuks to various locations and could print my eVisa for Vietnam for me.
My room was beautiful and luxurious — clean, well appointed, and with robes! It had a spacious bathroom and great safe. I felt very comfortable and safe there.
The pool, as evident from the photos, is stunning! A little oasis in the city. The breakfast was excellent.
I can't wait to stay there again!
- Michael (10/5): Great Oasis in the heat of the city. - This was our second time to the Blue Lime and this time we brought some friends. The stay once again was too short but excellent. Their pool area is gorgeous and provides a nice, cool retreat from the heat of the city. The staff were excellent, polite and helpful. We told them that we would be leaving before the breakfast time and they prepared a care package of water, fruit and bread for us to take on our car ride.
The room was beautiful and clean although I was a little disappointed because on out first stay they would spread fresh flowers over the bed. It really made the room smell nice.
Overall it was another great stay. The bed was firm but not hard, lots of pillows, lovely bath robes to use. We were very happy with our stay at Blue Lime.
- MICHAEL (10/5): Would reccomend anybody to stay there. - Staff were more than helpfull to fullfill any requirements that were asked.
- L (10/5): - Great spot - room with a private pool is definitely a must!
- David (8/5): Still Going Strong - The hotel is conveniently located for the riverside, Royal Palace and many good eating places. The stairs to the upper floors are steep so its perhaps not suitable for all travellers. I was staying with my 2 daughters who loved the pool. After any activity in the steaming hot city, its great to cool down in. The air con is good and there ample fans to cool you down around the small breakfast area any time of day. A totally inappropriate 14 storey hotel has recently been built right next door to 3 storey Blue Lime but I guess thats Cambodia planning permission and old town conservation in action.... Luckily, its almost un-noticable due to the greenery around the Blue Limes pool.
- Debbie (8/5): Good central location. Pool area is lovely - Quaint hotel in a central location. Rooms are older but spacious. Our room had a nice balcony.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Just like the pictures! Lovely!! Would stay again.
- Patricia (10/5): Great location close to markets. Excellent pool - Staff very pleasant and helpful. Wifi good.Warmly welcomed into a lovely reception area. An oasis in the middle of busy area that is close to palace, museum and markets
- anne (10/5): Fabulous hotel near the royal palace - What a little hidden gem. Located behind the palace and a short stroll to the river, is this little oasis. We opted for the private pool option but the hotel pool looked lovely as well. Breakfast is served around the pool and you can have a drink during happy hour before venturing out. Highly recommended!
- Verified traveler (6/5): no a bad little hotel - Nice enough hotel but we booked a private plunge pool for the entire length of our stay as it was cloudy and out of balance having my own pool at home I new it could not be used they blamed a storm that had washed all the dirt of the roof but the main pool was the same. Having said this the manager did refund some of our money and gave us a meal voucher but we were looking forward to the private pool. The staff were friendly
- Verified traveler (8/5): Haven from decrepitude - The NO SEX TRAVELLERS WELCOME sign on the door probably has some advantages, such as the hotel's calm environment.
- Kate (6/5): Acceptable but very disappointing - I must have stayed at a different hotel than other reviewers. Dead and half-alive bugs covered the floor next to the bed and were all over the (very tiny) nightstands. There's about six inches between the bed and the wall on one side and that was where the floor was dirtiest. The day bed also had quite a few ants crawling over it. I realize it's a tropical area, but dead bugs on the floor is just not okay. There was only one usable electrical outlet in the room and it was very hard to reach. The walls in the bathroom had been patched over and barely painted. The breakfast was fine, but the placemats and table runners were filthy. The staff were okay, although the person who helped me check out and book a taxi to the airport was unwelcoming and seemed to want to get rid of me as soon as possible. The second night the room was cleaner, but still had bugs, dead and alive, throughout. It wasn't the worst place I've ever stayed, but it definitely didn't deserve the rating it has.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel centrally located - This hotel is well positioned it is close to a lot of the sites that we wanted to visit. It was nice and clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
- Charles II (10/5): Excellent hotel tucked away. ... - The hotel was excellent. The staff was very professional. The room is nice size, and very clean. The private pool is nice, a little small as no where to lay out and enjoy the sun. Overall excellent stay....
- Steve (8/5): Booking photos make it look fancier than it is. - Nice hotel. Small than I expected and a little less fancy than the web photos make it look. Nice pool. Very helpful staff.
- alison (10/5): Friendly small excellent service - The tuk tuk ride from the hotel was fun, we felt very safe
- Verified traveler (10/5): - A very nice hotel, in an excellent location, close to good restaurants, the National Museum, and the Royal Palace.
